Hey! Here is chapter 16 and with it comes the end of third year. When we return we will be in fourth year. I am still trying to decide if this is the moment Hermione shares her first kiss or not so we will see or shall we wait until 5th year? Let me and MissRissa81 know in the comments what you would like!
April 1941
Hermione and Tom sat in the stands watching and waiting for the tryouts to begin. She knew it was coming. She had prepared herself for it. But she still was nervous to watch Theo and Aldrich up in the air and being in this danger. She really did hate flying.
Aldrich was trying out for Beater and Theo was trying out for Chaser so they would have a long wait if they weren't out on the same team.
Hermione wasn't okay with it. But she had to let them do their own thing. She couldn't keep them safe with her in the stands.
Theo was first up and outperformed the other two chasers in his group, automatically moving through to the final tryouts. They would compete in mini games until each spot that was needed was filled by the best.
Aldrich also moved through his first trial stopping Theo from scoring on his keeper twice.
Hermione barely kept herself on the stands when Aldrich hit the Bludger towards her twin. But Tom held her down— chuckling as he did.
"It's okay Hermione, they are perfectly safe up there," he explained.
"Yes. Safe. Where they can fall over fifty feet from their brooms. That inspires so much confidence in them."
Hermione continued to watch and support even though she was an anxious mess by the time they had finished. Both Theo and Aldrich had made the team and they all went down to the Kitchens and the Common Room was alight with excitement for the rest of the day.
She regretted this the moment they had said they were on the team as this meant they would regularly be playing and practicing and willingly putting themselves in harm's way.
It wasn't until she saw the Gryffindor Team list that the anxiety settled in further. Alders had gotten on the team and they would be coming up against him regularly.
Hermione would have to have calming draughts everytime she watched them play just to get through the year.
She got them some of their favourite candies to celebrate their accomplishments though.
May 1941
The Knights of Walpurgis is formed and most of the Slytherins join
Theodore was the one that said they should finally allow the other Slytherin's into the Chamber. They wouldn't tell them about the library or anything, but it was a way they could meet without the potential of Dumbledore who could access everywhere in the school seeing anything they were working on.
When the group came to the other students and told them what they were doing, they thought it would be a good idea to create an elite group.
Only those in Slytherin and of Pureblood would be welcome. Hermione and Aldrich researched names for the group and came upon the Knights of Walpurgis which had been a group of witches and wizards for the protection of their magic against muggles.
It wasn't long before all of the Slytherin's joined them— they were all for bringing the demise of Muggleborns. Dirty blood.
They wanted the Magical world back to where it should be.
Word started to spread to the other Purebloods of the school and some of the older families that were in Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw joined their ranks.
It was with this group they started to really push fear into the school. The older students in the group started on the other houses while Tom, Hermione, Aldrich and Theo were free to continue their research on the founders.
And they had the added bonus of making Dumbledore even more concerned about the Slytherins and what they could do with such a big group. It was okay when he planned to turn Tom into a sacrifice. But with such a big group of supporters it would be difficult.
The other teachers didn't realise what the full extent of the situation was. So didn't intervene too much.
June 1941
Hermione was happy with how things had turned out this year; they had found the Chamber of Secrets, started their cause, found a lot of information on the founders and discovered the Basilisk.
Now Tom had come to them and told them he had found something with the Basilisk and took them to a clear wall close to the Kitchen.
With a tap of distinctive white bricks a clear doorway opened and within they found the room that Helga Hufflepuff had created and hidden. To stand where Helga once stood amongst those books and scrolls that she found would benefit her the most was an amazing feeling.
The magic within the room was positively striking, the moment they stepped into the room they could feel it rush around them and welcome them to the sanctuary.
They had managed to do several things no one else could claim. And they knew where Ravenclaws room was. It was just a matter of getting in there.
Now they sat in the Great Hall with pride brimming over as it was announced that Slytherin had won the House Cup for the third year in a row.
Their families were proud of them and they were going away to Italy for the summer. Hermione's mother had already stated they would have a day just for the girls to go shopping in the most expensive and extravagant of Wizarding shopping centers. Only the Pureblood community could even afford to step into the place, let alone shop there.
It was going to be a magical summer.
Organising to write to all the other Slytherin's and the Knights of Walpurgis to keep abreast of how they were doing and what the eldest of the group were going to do with their future to help further the agenda, they wrote everyone's addresses and gave copies to each member.
Hermione, Tom, Aldrich and Theo were ready to go further with their plans in Fourth Year when they returned. And Hermione would crack down on her studies in time to get the Prefect badge in their Fifth year.
Hope you enjoy xo
