Eldis has taken off with Ben and Summer elswhere. Learning this after rescuing Kellyn, Kate, and Keith the team must find Eldis to learn the location of their remaining friends.
Ami and Rosemon were first to reach the top of the island. There was a bridge connecting to a large dome ahead. "That must be it."
One by one the others followed. "Yup." Michael replied. "That's the place where I fought Grevil a year ago."
"Okay, let's think this through." Arata said. "I doubt Ein will be alone in there."
"True. But if we waste too much time on small fry, he might give us the slip." Wes said. "We can split our team so some of us distract them while the others go for Ein, but they'll still have to push past them if we all go through the front door. We need a way to slip past them once they are distracted…"
"There's a second entrance inside." Michael said.
"That'll do it."
"I'll handle interference." Red Eyes said.
"It's too dangerous to do it alone." Rand said.
"I'll help him." Arata replied.
"I'm in too." Gonzap said.
"Huh? I thought you wanted to teach their boss a lesson." Michael said.
"Their boss ain't here, Ein is. And I couldn't be bothered with a chump like that nerd. He's all yours."
Wes scoffed. "Typical. Dumping the part of the job you don't like onto others."
"Come on Wes, we got this." Michael said. "I'll guide them through the passage. You guys go ahead and start."
"You got it." Red Eyes said as he, Gonzap and Arata marched towards the dome. "I hear Snagum were the top dogs back in the day around here. Let's see if you live up to the hype Gonzap."
"Heh. Challenge accepted. Bring em on!" They walked into the door where a bunch of scientists stood.
"AHH! They made it into the lab!"
"Well, isn't that touching, they were expecting us." Gonzap said as he took out two Pokeballs. "Machamp! Shiftary! Let's show them our appreciation!"
Outside, Michael took Wes, Ami and Rand to an elevator to the left, and it went down. They went through a small tunnel to another elevator that took them to another area. When they opened the door, they saw PileVolcamon chuck a Lairon into a Audino. "Dark Roar!" Darkdramon defeated a Haunter in a single shot.
"Machamp, Submission!" Gonzap's Pokemon pummeled a Tauros.
"Looks like the boys got this." Ami said as Blazekin kicked a Sliggo. "Wes, do you see Ein?"
"No. Michael is there another room here?"
"Yeah. On the other side of this room is an elevator that will take us to the upper floor. That's where Grevil was last time. I'm sure Ein is there."
"Okay. Let's move." They snuck past the battling Trainers and opened another door. They took the elevator and reached the top of the dome.
Ein was grumbling as he rubbed where he was kicked by Keith. "Lousy brat. Tell me you captured those darn Rangers!"
"Actually…" Ami grinned.
Ein turned around. "What?! Who- He then noticed Wes. "You!"
"It's been a long time Ein."
"You don't give up, do you? I'll make you atone for thwarting our Shadow Pokemon Caper!"
"You're Shadow Pokemon schemes are why you and Cipher are the one who need to atone!" Michael said.
"We rescued Kellyn, Keith and Kate." Rand said. "They said your boss just left with Ben and Summer. Where did he take them?"
"I see no reason to tell you. Why give you information when you're all about to perish here?"
The dome opened up again and revealed another helicopter was waiting. "Trying to escape again?" Wes asked.
"If I just abandoned this facility without even trying to get rid of you the Grandmaster would lose faith in me. If I must retreat…" He took a remote out of his coat. "I am going to make sure I destroy you meddlers as well."
"What is that?" Michael asked.
"This remote is linked to explosive charges hidden in the volcano of this island. All I need to do is push this button and all of Citadark will overflow with lava!"
"What?!" Rand asked. "So many people are on this island, including your own men! Are you insane!?"
"You're just as bad as Ardos!" Michael glared.
"It would be a shame to lose this place as well as our subordinates, but such resources can be replaced. Besides, now that XD001 XD002 and XD003 are safe with the Grandmaster we really have no further need for this place."
"XD…002 and 003?"
"Indeed. We have finally perfected the Shadow Pokemon process. Not even your so called "Purification Chamber" can restore them now."
"You're lying!" Ami glared.
"Oh, I assure you I'm not." Ein stepped backwards towards the helicopter. "A pity you won't be around to see it. Grandmaster will be disappointed that I did not capture you like he asked, but my work should make up for it."
"Ein!" Wes shouted as he dashed towards him. Ein snapped his fingers and a glass wall rose up from the center of the dome, blocking Wes and his team from him and the chopper.
"Looks like this time you lose Wes!" Ein laughed turning to his ride. "Enjoy going out in a blaze of glory!"
Rand turned to Ami. "Call the others, we need to get out of here now!"
Suddenly a Cipher Peon was thrown out of the helicopter and landed next to Ein. "Pilot?! What's the meaning of this?!"
Another man in a white robe wearing a hood jumped out, kicking Ein onto the floor. A Gallade joined him with a huminoid being with twin wooden swords and a white mask. "Who's that?!" Michael asked.
The man snapped his fingers and Galade slashed the helicopter, sending it crashing to the ground. "NO!" Ein shouted. The man slowly approached. "S-Stay away from me!" Ein held up the remote. "Take one more step and I'll- The man held a hand forward towards Ein and the remove flew out of his grasp and into the man's hand. "What?!"
Ami put her goggles on. "Guys, that one with the mask is a Digimon. Yasyamon, a Vaccine Armor Digimon. The Digi-Egg of Serenity gives it power like a god and carries a strong offense as well as a deep devotion to protecting the weak."
The man drew his katana with his other hand and sliced the remote in half. "Such dishonorable tactics. You should be ashamed of yourself."
Ami along with Rand froze up. "That voice…It can't be…"
Michael glanced at her. "Ami? You know this guy?"
Ein stood up. "Who are you? Why are you interfering with my plans?"
The man lowered his hood. He had long purple hair with a white stripe and purple eyes. "I have come here to protect Orre from those who attempt to seize control of it!" He pointed his weapon at Ein. "In the name of my master, I'll crush you where you stand!"
Yasyamon got into a fighting stance. "Are you prepared to atone, pawn of Cipher?!"
Ami stepped back when she saw his face. "Oh my g-It is him."
Rand clenched his fists. "Purple Eyes!"
"Purple Eyes?" Wes asked.
"He was the main leader of the Pokemon Pinchers… He did a lot of terrible things in Oblivia."
"What are you doing here Purple Eyes?!" Rosemon glared.
"Purple Eyes no longer exists." The man replied. "I have become an agent of justice. My name is Blade."
"Blade?" Ami asked. "Is this some kind of joke? Why are you here?! Last time we saw you Arceus-
"My master has sent me to aid you on your mission to rescue your friends and defeat Cipher."
"Master? What are you-?" Ami's eyes widened as she remembered something.
"Since we last met, I have been training a…apprentice, you may say. Perhaps it is time I tested his growth. Once he finishes his current training, I will send him to help you."
"No way… You're Arceus' apprentice?!"
"What?!" Rand gapped.
"Arceus? What are you talking about?" Wes asked.
Purple Eyes-Or rather Blade returned his attention to Ein. "I have destroyed you're escape route. Takumi and the others will be here any moment. I would strongly advise you to surrender."
Ein growled. "Darn it…I am head of Cipher's Shadow Pokemon research! I won't be looked down on by some unknown thing like you!"
"Then you leave me no choice." Blade got into a fighting stance. "I will force you to submit."
Ein threw two Pokeballs. "Come! Ryperior! Manectric!"
"So, we just let them fight it out?" Michael asked.
"No point in stopping them." Wes replied.
"Then what do we do if that creep wins?"
"Which one? Ein or Purple Eyes?" Rand asked.
"Rand…" Ami said. "Is this really the time or place for that? I mean sure, he did some bad things but-
"He kidnapped Leanne and Nema."
"Not to mention Calumon." Ravemon added. "He tried to exploit his power for selfish gain."
"And he kidnapped Kyoko. I'm surprised you're not as negative about this as I am."
Ami sighed. "Well, I'd be lying if I said I can just shake that off…But Kyoko, Leanne, and Nema are fine now. Time has passed. Besides, remember what Arceus told us?"
"I cannot force you to believe me, but he is a changed man now. He fights for justice."
Rand looked down at the floor. "Ami's right." Rosemon said. "Arceus took Purple Eyes to his dimension to make him atone for what he did. He wouldn't have let him go unless he thought he was a changed man. And if Arceus thinks he deserves a second chance, who are we to argue?"
Blade looked at the Pokemon he faced. "Fully evolved. And powerful." He held his free hand forward and something flew out of his robe and into his hand.
"That looks like what Red Eyes uses." Michael said.
"What is that device?" Ein asked.
"I created it based off of an old subordinates design. She called it a Megavice. Yasyamon."
"Right."
Blade's eyes turned purple as he held the gadget up. A text appeared.
DIGIVOLUTION
A light rose up from the device and shined down on Yasyamon. A blue shell formed around him. "Yasyamon Digivolve too…" The shell grew and exploded. He became a combination of a centaur and a bull with red armor and twin blades. "Vajramon!"
"Whoa…He can use the same tricks as you guys!" Michael gasped.
"Not surprised." Ami replied. "Saw him do that before."
Rand scanned the Digimon. "Vajramon. Vaccine Ultimate. The "Ox" Deva and servant of the Sovereign Digimon Ebonwumon. Wilding twin Deva Blades it values honor and is a seeker of truth…Huh. Never thought I'd see him with a Digimon like that. Especially considering his last one."
"What trickery is this?" Ein asked. "Evolution at will?"
"It's called Digivolution." Blade replied. "My partner Digimon reacts to my determination."
"Digimon…" Ein glanced at Rosemon and Ravemon. "So that's what these creatures are. Interesting. But such curious beings are wasted of soft-hearted fools like you. After this I'll take them and make their power Ciphers!"
Vajramon swung his blades in a x shaped and pawed his back legs on the ground. "I do not yield to criminals like you." Gallade got into a fighting stance.
"I'll be the one to change that. Manectric! Discharge!" Ein's Pokemon roared as electricity violently erupted from its body. Ryperior was unharmed as Gallade and Vajramon were zapped.
"Ah, I see." Blade said. "As a Ground Type your other Pokemon is unaffected no matter how recklessly Manectric fights. Clever. But insufficient!" He typed something into his Megavice. "Vajramon! I'm converting some of your speed to your endurance! Your opponent is the Ryperior!"
Vajramon slammed his front feet on the ground. "You got it." He roared as he charged into Ryperior.
"Gallade! Stand tall! You're opponent is Manectric! Swords Dance!" Blade's Pokemon straightened up spin in place, faintly glowing red.
"What's it doing?" Rosemon asked.
"That's a move that sharply raises a Pokemon's physical strength." Wes replied.
Gallade charged towards the Electric Type. "Now, Psycho Cut!" Gallade's bladed arms glowed purple as it slashed Manectric twice.
As that was happening Vajramon swung his blades at Ryperior who caught them with it's massive hands. It slowly started to push the Digimon back. The drill it had for a horn spun rapidly as it drew nearer to his face. "Blade!"
"I'm on my way!" Blade sprinted towards them.
Michael watched him charge towards the fighters. "What is he-?"
Blade jumped onto Vajramon's back then hopped onto his head and swung his katana at Ryperior's face making it back away wincing in pain. Blade jumped off Vajramon and onto Ryperior's head, bouncing off it. "Now!"
"Wolkenapalm!" Vajramon charged and swung his blade at it, making it back up.
"Hey!" Ein glared. "Cowardly trick!"
"This from the man stealing Pokemon and turning them into Shadow Pokemon?" Blade scoffed. "Unlike you, I fight alongside my partners. I do whatever I can to support rather than bark orders from a safe distance."
"Just like a Pokemon Ranger…" Ami whispered.
Rand glanced at her. "Huh?"
"Nothing."
"Enough messing around!" Ein shouted. "Manectric, protect!" His Electric type formed a barrier around itself. "Ryperior! Earthquake!" His other Pokemon violently shook the ground making Vajramon and Gallade stumble to the ground. Ryperior kicked Vajramon into Gallade from behind. "Yes! Now finish them! Rock Blast! Bite!"
Blade turned to Vajramon with his eyes glowing white. Vajramon and Gallade's eyes glowed as well. "Good idea." The Digimon smirked as he grabbed Gallade's hand. As Ryperior shot a bolder from one side Manectric charged at them from the other. Vajramon jumped aside, pulling Gallade with him. The bolder missed them and nailed Manectric as it pounced, knocking it back. Vajramon swung around and threw Gallade who flew at Ryperior.
"Leaf Blade!" Blade shouted. Gallade's arms glowed green as he rammed its arms into the Ryperior, knocking it out.
Vajramon crossed his swords. "Deva Blade!" A white beam fired from them and blasted Manectric knocking it out as well.
"Did you see that?!" Ami asked. "It's like he transferred his thoughts to them!"
Blade grinned at her. "That is exactly what I did. A trick I learned from my master. I believe you are familiar with it."
"Telepathy?" Rosemon asked. "Humans can do that?"
"Not as well as Lord Arcues. But enough for me to give orders to my partners if we focus."
Ein withdrew his Pokemon. "Hmph! Impressive. But the real battle begins now. Crobat! Gyarados! You're up!" A Water/Flying and Poison/Flying Pokemon appeared.
Varjamon twirled his blades. "Our next opponents."
"Wait." Blade narrowed his sights on them. "There's something different about these ones…"
Michael put on his Aura reader. "They're both Shadow Pokemon!"
Ami looked at them through her goggles. "Yeah. But it looks like they don't have the Dark Bond."
"I see." Blade said. "Then they are "incomplete" as far as Shadow Pokemon go."
"Maybe so." Ein admitted. "But they're enough to crush an immobile like you! Crobat! Shadow Sky!"
His Poison Pokemon screeched as a purple light flew up and exploded, raining purple down all around them. "Gah!" Vajramon and Gallade felt sharp pain wherever the pellets touched. "What is this? My strength is being sapped!"
"There's more where that came from!" Ein smirked. "Gyarados! Shadow Down!" His other Shadow Pokemon shed purple strands that flew into Vajramon and Gallade.
"Not good." Michael gulped. "That move lowers defense!"
"That's right." Ein grinned. "And here comes my offense! Crobat! Shadow Break!" His Pokemon glowed purple and rammed into Gallade. "Gyarados! Shadow End!" His other Pokemon charged at Vajramon. He roared and swung his blades down on it, but on contact a purple explosion set off. Gyarados was knocked back with recoil, but Vajramon was sent flying.
Crobas swiped at Gallade with it's wings before flying high and ramming down into it. Gallade tried to swing at it after it was hit but Crobat evaded and hit it from the side.
"This is bad, he's losing ground…" Ami muttered.
Gyarados slapped Vajramon with its tail so hard he was toppled over and dropped his swords. "Ha, ha!" Ein laughed. "You are outmatched!"
Blade looked at his Pokemon and Digimon. "You're Shadow Pokemon are indeed powerful. But you lack something."
"And what might that be?"
"Something that makes humans, Pokemon, and Digimon grow stronger together. A bond. You deprive your Pokemon that by sealing their hearts."
Ein scoffed. "Like you're in a position to judge my methods. They have you and your wimpy pets in a corner."
Blade sheathed his katana and held up his Megavice. "The battle isn't over yet!" A purple aura surged around him.
"Huh?"
"Let me show you how strong a bond is!" He pressed a button with his thumb and a slot opened with a glowing stone.
"Wait a sec…" Ami said. "Is that a Key Stone?!"
Gallade held up a stone of its own.
DIGIVOLUTION
All of Blade's aura was sucked into the Megavice and fired as a intense beam that enveloped Vajramon as the stones shined in a x shape. A pink shell formed around Gallade and a blue one wrapped around Vajramon. "Vajramon Digivolve to…" The orbs expanded and burst. Gallade had a white cape with a light blue underside and his bladed arms became white with pink edges. Vajramon looked like a samurai in gold armor riding a horse, only the rider and steed were one being holding a katana in one hand and a larger blade in the other. "Zanbamon!"
"He can use Mega Evolution too?!" Wes asked. "And his Digimon…"
Ami scanned it. "Zanbamon, Mega Level Virus Type. A courageous general of the Musyamon corps wielding the zanbato Ryūzan-maru and a slender youtou."
Ein growled. "Your creatures may be more powerful, but they still aren't Shadow Pokemon! Gyarados, Shadow End!" Ein's Shadow Gyarados roared as it charged at Zanbamon. But this time his large sword alone stopped it in its tracks. The Digimon smirked before slashing at it with his smaller blade. "What?"
Zanbamon raised Ryūzan-maru. "Vorpal Blade!" With one downward swing, he slammed Gyarados into the ground defeating it.
"What power…" Ravemon murmured.
Ein grimaced. "How dare you…!"
Blade pointed at Crobat. "We're just getting started!" His Gallade charged. "Next, Gallade, attack Crobat!" Gallade's arms glowed pink. "Psycho Cut!" It dashed past the Crobat making a slashing motion with its arms and stopped. Crobat froze for a moment before emitting a pink blast that blew it upward. It crashed to the ground in defeat.
"Just like that, he turned the tables again!" Michael exclaimed.
Ein snarled. "You…!"
Blade clenched his fist. "Shutting the hearts of Pokemon and using them as weapons…! Cipher's crimes towards innocent beings must end!"
"Crimes? We are doing these Pokemon a favor by making them stronger! Shadow Pokemon is evolution!"
"Cease your nonsense!" Zanbamon. "In the name of our master and for the sake of your victims, we will stop your selfish schemes!"
"You think you can stop us?"
"Why not?" Blade asked. "Don't act like you haven't been stopped before."
"Maybe…" Ein took out two Ultraballs. "But this time we have a secret weapon."
"Here it comes." Ami murmured.
"The power of a bond between humans and Pokemon". You say that is what makes Pokemon stronger? Then let me crush you with that power you cherish so much. Go! Moltres! Raikou!" Two legendary Pokemon appeared.
Blade looked shocked. "Those Pokemon…! So, it's as my master says…"
Michael's Aura Reader beeped. "Bad news. It's that Dark Bond."
"Indeed." Ein smirked as he pressed his glasses up against his face. "Thanks to it, the Pokemon act like I am their original owner. They are perfectly obedient and have all the extra power from that mushy love they share with the Rangers."
"It's vile enough that you stole them from Ben and Summer…but you steal their bond with them as well?!" Blade asked. "Have you no shame?!"
Ein laughed. "These Pokemon are much better used by Cipher! Once the Grandmaster makes his move with the DX Pokemon, Orre will be ours to rule! And now, Raikou! Moltres! Show them your new power! Shadow Fire!"
Moltres shot fire with a black hue at Mega Gallade. The Pokemon tried to evade, but just being near the heat sent it back a little.
"Shadow Bolt!" Raikou roared as black and gold lightning flew at Zanbamon who tried to raise Ryūzan-maru to block it, but was pushed back into a wall.
"They're strong." Blade said. "Gallade, Zanbamon! Search for openings! Don't let them hit you!"
Gallade got back to it's feet and charged towards Moltres. When it spewed fire from it's mouth it carefully evaded as it got closer and jumped up for another attack, but Moltres moved to the side with shocking agility making Gallade miss before it smacked the Mega Pokemon down with it's wings.
Raikou kept shooting smaller bolts at Zanbamon who deflected them with his swords as he slowly got closer. Once he was in front of Raikou he raised his zanbato. "Vorpal Blade!" This time before he could swing it down, Raikou swiftly moved to the right before charging into his side. As he recovered, he charged at Raikou. Raikou also darted towards Zanbamon. When they clashed there was a burst of light before Zanbamon was flung back.
Moltres in the meantime circled around Gallade rapidly before ramming into it from behind, knocking it down. "Ha! Do you see it now?" Ein gloated. "Even Mega Evolution is nothing to the power of the Dark Bond. And with these Legendary Pokemon, Cipher will easily rule Orre!"
Ami slammed the glass wall with her fist. "Those legendary Pokemon you manipulated belong to Ben and Summer! And I won't let you get away with abusing their power!"
"Oh? Would you like to be next after I finish him off girl? I'm a patient man with a lot of time on his hands."
Just then the elevator rose up and Gonzap, Red Eyes and Arata appeared. "Hey, did you guys get the creep?" Arata asked as they hurried over to Ami, Rand, Wes, and Michael.
Rand pointed at the battle. "Not exactly."
PileVolcamon looked at Zanbamon. "Hey, Red Eyes! I think that's a Digimon!"
"Is it the Malevolent Fist?" Arata asked.
"No." Ami replied. "It belongs to Arceus' new apprentice over there."
Red Eyes looked at Blade. "What?! You!"
"It's been a while Red Eyes." Blade simply replied.
"Is that Purple Eyes?!" Arata asked. "You jerk! What are you up to this time?!"
"I am Blade. Purple Eyes is no more."
"What? Quit messing with me!"
"I suppose this kind of reaction is only natural. I have put all of you through a lot back in Oblivia. But now I stand before you reborn thanks to Arceus."
"Arceus?"
Ami turned to Arata. "He's that apprentice Arceus told us about."
"You're joking!"
"You know this fellow?" Gonzap asked.
"Believe it or not, this creep used to be my boss." Red Eyes murmured.
"Is that so?"
Ein glanced at them. "Gonzap. What's our failed partner doing here?"
"Nice to see you too, Ein. But to answer your question, I'm here to bury Cipher once and for all."
"You?! Is that a joke?! You were no threat to Cipher before we discovered the Dark Bond! Any attempt against us now would be a foolish gesture. Now that Wes is here, defeating him and securing my revenge is my top priority. You can sit back and wait until I'm done with him. Then I'll mop up you."
"How absent minded you must be to forget who your current opponent is." Blade said coolly.
"Oh, please, your Pokemon and Digimon are backed against a wall. This battle might as well be over."
Blade smirked and drew his katana. "If you're that fast to assume victory, it is no wonder you and Cipher always came up short. You really are just like what I once was. Allow me to show you the folly that comes with such arrogance…as I defeat you with the very power that ended the team I once lead." His hand glowed pure white before he ran it across the side of his weapon. The blade glowed the same white.
"What's he doing now?" Wes asked.
"I have no idea." Rand replied.
With his weapon her drew a white circle in the air. Then with multiple slashes he drew a symbol in the circle. "What is that?" Ein asked.
Ami recognized that light. "Wait…I've…seen this before…"
Rand gapped. "It can't be…!"
Blade held his katana in both hands as the symbol started to spin. "Sword of Iron Will! With your unshakable determination and guidance, bring peace to this world!" He thrusted the blade into the ground. "Go, Guardian Sign!" The symbol glowed blue as something started to come out of it. "Appear! Cobalion!"
A four-legged blue creature with white fur on it's chest and horns trotted across the ground. "Kawbraa!"
Everyone watched in awe. "A Guardian Sign?!" Rand gasped.
"No way!" Red Eyes yelled. "How can someone like Purple Eyes do that?! I though only Ben, Summer and the hero could use those!"
"So that's a Guardian Sign…" Wes breathed,
"Amazing…" Michael muttered.
Ein growled. "I had no idea there were others with that power…! And that Pokemon…One of the Swords of Justice?!"
Rand scanned it. "Cobalion, Steel/Fighting Type! It has a body and heart of steel and it's glare is said to make even the unruliest Pokemon obey it!"
Blade pointed at Ein. "Cobelion leads a small team of Pokemon that swore to protect Pokemon from the evil humans create. That is the power, and the will, that will destroy Cipher!"
"Don't get cocky just because you summoned one legendary Pokemon! You still can't match my two legendary Shadow Pokemon!"
"You truly are absent minded. What did I just say about Cobalion leading a team?"
"Huh?"
Blade drew another circle and made another symbol. "Another one?!" Gonzap asked.
"Sword of Cavern's Stone! With your power to shape the land, bring peace to this world!"
Ein grimaced. "I won't let you! Shadow Fire! Shadow Bolt!" Both of his Pokemon fired at Blade, but Gallade and Zanbamon rushed in and blocked the attacks.
"Go, Guardian Sign! Break through! Terrakion!"
Another, four-legged Pokemon appeared. A bulky, brown one with large horns. "Gurooooooh!"
Arata scanned this one. "Terrakion…Rock/Fighting Type. It's strong enough to break down a castle wall, and will fight anyone bullying small Pokemon."
"This will suffice." Blade said. "And now Ein. I think it's time I showed you, how to properly use that "bond" you stole from Ben and Summer."
Zanbamon and Gallade panted. "Yeah…I think this is all we can do." The Digimon said. "We'll have to let you handle the rest."
"Leave it to us. Rest while you can. Cobalion! Terrakion! Let's go!"
The two legendary Pokemon roared as they charged towards Moltres and Raikou. "You may have legendary Pokemon now, mine are modified to be superior! Strike them down!" Ein ordered.
Moltres shot another Shadow Fire, but Terrakion pushed through it and rammed its skull into the bird sending it crashing into the ceiling. When Raikou launched another Shadow Bolt, Cobalion jumped over it and landed on Raikou, smashing it against the ground. "Amazing!" Ami gasped.
"That power's incredible." Darkdramon added.
Moltres howled as it swooped towards Terrakion. "Stone Edge!" Blade ordered. Terrakion roared as stalagmites rise up under Moltres, knocking it into the air. Cobalion was dodging bolts as it closed in on Raikou again. "Retaliate!" The Pokemon charged into Raikou, knocking it into Moltres.
"T-this can't be!" Ein shuddered. "My Shadow Pokemon are being overpowered?! How?!"
"Time to finish this." Blade sheathed his katana. "Sacred Sword!" An azure and an orange light expanded from Cobalion and Terrakion's foreheads. They roared as they charged towards Ein's Pokemon. When they got close Blade drew his katana and slashed, which his Pokemon took as a signal. They lowered their heads, bringing the blades of light down as they passed by Raikou and Moltres. All was silent for a moment before Blade stood up straight and slowly sheathed his sword. Cobalion and Terrakion's blades vanished as Raikou and Moltres fell to the ground. "It's over."
Ein trembled as he looked at his defeated Pokemon. "Urrrgh… What unbelievable power…"
"And now Ein…" Blade stepped forward as Cobalion and Terrakion vanished in a bright light. "I have questions for you."
"No…" Ein trembled as Blade got closer. "No!" He ran towards the opening in the dome.
"Wait, no!" Ami shouted.
Rand turned to Arata who was working with his Digivice. "Arata, hurry!"
"Almost…there!" He pressed a button and the barrier slid back down. Ami, Wes, Michale, and Rand sprinted after Ein.
But just when Ein was at the edge, Omnimon rose up with Nokia on his shoulder. "Going somewhere?" Nokia asked.
Ein backed away as MegaGargomon, HerculesKabuterimon, Alphamon, and all the others one by one appeared on their Digimon. Blue Eyes was on her Z.Z. Flyer and Wendy was on her Staraptor. "Sorry for the wait gang." Takumi smiled.
"Just in time." Arata grinned.
Ein backed right into Wes who grabbed him. "It's over Ein."
"Sven, Solana, Lunick, Lovrina, Naps and Wakin, are mopping up as we speak." Wendy said. "Mission Clear!" She and Rand possessed.
Blue Eyes looked at Blade. "Wait a second, is that Purple Eyes?!"
Everyone looked at him. "Hey, it is that creep!" Date said. "I didn't recognize him with the weird getup!"
"What are you doing here?!" Takumi glared.
"It's okay!" Ami said. "He's on our side. At least I think."
"That's reassuring." Fei scoffed. "And how do you figure?"
"He defeated Ein using Guardian Signs. He's Arceus' apprentice."
"This guy?! That can't be!" Yuuko exclaimed.
"My name is Blade." The man said. "And I indeed have been sent here by master Arceus. He told me what happened and felt I could be of use to you. So, he sent me here."
"What's this about using Guardian Signs?" Kyoko asked. "Since when could you do that?"
"My master studied Ravio, Ben, and Summer's use of the technique." He put a hand on the hilt of his blade. "With this Sword of Order he had me forge from sacred material in his realm he educated me how to use them with the Pokemon he introduced me to."
"After you caused Oblivia so much trouble and helped Sabios subdue him?!" Keisuke asked. "I thought that's why he banished you two to his realm!"
"The first thing he did when he dragged me there was lock me up! But…he also helped me overcome my darkness. My evil. My most recent trail he put me through was to battle a shadow of my former self. The man you knew as Purple Eyes. I earned his trust."
Nobody knew what to say. "Look, maybe we should talk about this later." Michael said.
"He's right." Gonzap said looking down at Ein and cracking his knuckles. "Let's not forget what we came for."
Wes lifted Ein by the collar. "Last chance Ein. Tell us where Ardos took the remaining Rangers!"
"I will tell you nothing."
"That's quite alright." Blade replied. "You don't need to tell us anything."
"What are you- Blade put two fingers against Ein's forehead and his eyes glowed white. Ein's eyes also glowed. "Ah…ah…"
"What is he doing?" Yu asked.
"Oh, like I would know." Nokia muttered.
Blade looked up in surprise as their eyes stopped glowing and he removed his fingers. "The Under."
"Uh, care to elaborate?" Rand asked.
"That's where Ardos went with Ben and Summer. The Under."
Ein's shook. "Did…did you just…?"
"Read your mind? Indeed, I did. And trust me, it was a rather light read."
"Shots fired!" Chitose teased.
"How dare you!" Ein growled. "I-
Gonzap stepped in and punched Ein so hard he lost consciousness. "Ah! I've been wanting to do that for years!"
"I'll bet." Michael grinned.
"Impossible." Wes said. "The Under was completely buried. There's nothing there anymore."
"Yeah, I heard that too." Red Eyes replied. "There's no way they could be holed up there."
"I'm as surprised as you are." Blade admitted. "But it's the truth. Pulled it right out of Ein's mind."
Wes searched Ein and retrieved his Shadow Gyarados and Shadow Crobat. He then looked over at the unconscious Shadow Raikou and Shadow Moltres. He and Michael looked at each other and nodded. "Go! Snag Ball!" They each threw a Ultra Ball that zipped over and captured them.
"Raikou…It was the first Legendary Pokemon we encountered." Takumi said. "And Ben's first Guardian Sign. Seeing it like that hurts…"
"We'll fix it up as soon as we get Ben and Summer back." Kyoko said. "For now, let's head back to the HQ Lab and formulate our strategy for The Under."
Blade turned to Gallade and Zanbamon. "We're done here." They nodded as Gallade exited its Mega Evolution and Zanbamon turned into a small black Digimon with a green and a red eye.
"A Dracmon…" Hudiemon murmured.
Blade took out his Megavice and the Pokemon and Digimon went in. "I shall accompany you from here."
"Oh, no. We're not falling for your schemes again." Date glared.
"Date's right." Rand added. "You have done too much for us to trust you just like that."
"I am aware. But I am not asking you for promotion. These are my masters' orders."
"Guys, Purple-I mean Blade just helped us out!" Ami said. "Can't we at least give him a chance?"
Kyoko thought for a moment. "We may not have a choice. You heard him. He's just going to follow us even if we do try to turn him away."
Date groaned. "Fine! But I got my eye on you punk!"
"I figured." Blade replied.
"Come on." Wendy said as she handcuffed Ein. "Let's get off this creepy island."
Yup. Purple Eyes in back but he ain't Purple Eyes no more. See how Blade fits into this group next week.
