New Clothes
As the Eds were getting changed into their regular clothes after their weeklong vacation at Hotel Grand Lake, Edd noticed how beat up their clothes were. He had to admit that travelling throughout the region on foot and all the exploring in the Grand Underground, along with their last battle with Team Galactic at Mt. Coronet was starting to take its toll on their clothing. Edd looks at all the money he had and made a decision.
"Fellows. Perhaps we should buy ourselves some new clothes." said Edd.
"Why? Our regular clothes are just fine." said Eddy as he puts his shirt on. But as he put an arm through one of his sleeves, it tore off. Eddy examined his shirt and noticed how beat up it was. "Okay. I guess we could use some new clothes. But I really hate clothes shopping. My mom always buys some dorky-looking outfit, which is why I'm always wearing these clothes."
"But, Eddy. Our parents aren't here to pick out our clothes for us. You can buy whatever you want. We do have a lot of money and we can earn more from future battles, including our upcoming gym battle and all the battles at the Sinnoh League." said Edd.
"Good points, Double-D." said Eddy.
"And Veilstone City is close by, and I do recall there being a clothing store called Metronome Style Shop. We can look there for new clothes." said Edd.
"And I guess we don't want to be in front of a large crowd of people at the Sinnoh League dressed in worn-out clothes. All right, let's go." said Eddy as he and the others finished getting dressed. Soon the Eds packed up their belongings and went to the hotel lobby to check out. Once that was done, they got on their bikes and starting riding north to Veilstone City. After a while, they stopped for a short break and Edd looked at his pokedex. "What are you looking at, Double-D?"
"I was simply wondering if our Pokemon learned any new moves after all the battling they did at Mt. Coronet. They must've gotten stronger." said Edd. "I didn't do it before during our vacation because we were taking a break from training."
"Yeah." replied Eddy.
"So did our Pokemon learn any new moves, Double-D?" asked Ed. Edd looked at his pokedex.
"Well none of your Pokemon learned any moves, Ed. But Pokemon have only so many moves they can learn on their own without TMs and they must've learned all they could. Perhaps we can find more TMs to help them learn more." said Edd.
"Okay." said Ed.
"Anyway, my Empoleon learned Drill Peck, my Kricketune learned Bug Buzz, my Roserade hasn't learned anything else yet, my Noctowl learned Hypnosis and Dream Eater, my Gallade hasn't learned any new moves, and my Rhyperior learned Stone Edge.
"What about my Pokemon?" asked Eddy. Edd looks at his pokedex.
"Your Infernape learned Acrobatics and Calm Mind, your Crobat learned Confuse Ray, your Golem learned Stone Edge, your Floatzel learned Agility, your Absol learned Future Sight, and your Froslass learned Aurora Veil." said Edd.
"Man, our Pokemon are getting stronger every day." said Eddy with pride in his voice.
"Yeah." said Ed.
"Indeed. Now onward to Veilstone City." said Edd. The Eds continued to bike until they finally reached their destination. Once they did, they made their way to the Metronome Style Shop and went inside. A female worker sees them enter and walks up to them.
"Hello. May I help you boys?" asked the worker.
"Oh, we're looking for some new clothes." replied Edd.
"Well, I hope you find something you'll like. Come to the counter if you need help." said the worker.
"Thank you." replied Edd. The Eds looked around the store until they each found an outfit they thought looked good. Ed got a white t shirt with a red and black pokeball design on it, blue overalls that were ripped in the leg areas and only had one strap up over his shoulder, white sneakers, and a red and white visor cap. (a/n: The Overall Style outfit.) Edd got a red and white jacket over a green shirt with a white pokeball design on it, tan khaki shorts, dark gray leggings, black sneakers with white shoelaces, and a dark bluish green cap. (a/n: The Spring Style outfit.) Eddy got the most expensive outfit; a black leather jacket with many zipper pockets on it, a white shirt with a Honchkrow design on it, black shorts with zippers on each leg over purple leggings, black sneakers with purple laces, and a black and dark gray leather cap. (a/n: The Leather Jacket Style outfit.) The Eds were looking at themselves in a full body mirror.
"Man, I look good." said Eddy.
"I like my new clothes." said Ed.
"These clothes will suffice." said Edd. The Eds walk to the front counter and paid for their new clothes. Once they left the store, they hopped on their bikes, and they headed off to Sunyshore City where they hope to win their final badges. As they travelled, Eddy was looking at the receipt for their clothes.
"Man, these clothes were expensive." said Eddy.
"Indeed. But you just had to have that outfit, Eddy." said Edd.
"Whatever." replied Eddy. "I guess we'll just have to earn more money at the Sinnoh League then."
"As well as some at the Sunyshore City Gym, Eddy." said Edd.
"Maybe we'll run into some other trainers on the way, too. Well then let's get going then." said Eddy. They continued travelling down Route 214.
