-CHAPTER SIXTEEN - BATTLE FOR THE NEXUS-

-SNUFFLES' TEMPLE-

Snuffles awakens after being knocked unconscious

He his met by his guards, who looked after him

"Please tell me you actually killed them this time." Snuffles asks

The guards look at each other, they already know what is about to happen to them

"You didn't, did you?" Snuffles asks

"We're sorry-" One of the guards tries to say, being cut by Snuffles, who grabs their neck and breaks it

He punches the other in the chest, grabbing their spine and breaking it in half

"Fine, I'll kill them myself." Snuffles says

He walks outside as the moon shines over him, and begins walking down the path to Ted's swamp, his glowing white cloak lights the way

-SANCTUM SANCTORUM-

The sun rises and Brian wakes up, he gets out of bed and his suit wraps around him and the Cloak of Levitation attaches itself to Brian as he leaves his bedroom, heading upstairs

He arrives, being greeted by Kyle, Cogger, Marc and Strange

"Morning." Brian says

"Morning." They all respond

"Sleep well?" Brian asks

"I've slept worse." Marc explains

"Wasn't too bad." Kyle explains

"Anyways, let's get everyone up." Brian says

Brian opens a small portal and pulls out a megaphone, turning it on

"I hate being this guy, but WAKE UP!" Brian yells through the megaphone, waking everyone up

Brian laughs

"I'm sorry, that was an asshole thing to do, but good morning!" Brian explains

"That wasn't fucking cool!" Twowphee yells

Everyone gets up and prepares to begin their day

"I'll let you all get ready, I'll keep a portal open to the swamp." Brian explains

Brian opens a portal to Ted's swamp, walking through

He sees Jack and Ted sitting at the edge of the swamp and walks over to them

"I see you didn't turn." Brian says

"Thankfully." Jack responds

Kyle, Cogger and Marc walk through the portal and over to Brian, Jack and Ted

"I know you just woke up, but what are we gonna do with this Nexus?" Kyle asks

"You won't be using it." A voice says from behind them

Snuffles approaches them, ready to attack

Brian quickly grabs his megaphone again

"OKAY, I DO NOT CARE WHAT YOU ARE DOING RIGHT NOW, WE HAVE COMPANY, GET OUT HERE RIGHT NOW!" Brian yells through the megaphone

"You're still alive, Marc? That's a shame." Snuffles says

"Yep, luckily I have a god watching over me at all times." Marc explains

Brian and Cogger conjure a pair of tao mandala shields, Marc transforms into Moon Knight and Kyle grabs his shield off his back

Grim rushes out of the Sanctum, charging his shield's repulsor, aiming it at Snuffles

He fires, hitting Snuffles, giving Kyle time to hit Snuffles across the head with his shield

Marc tackles Snuffles and grabs a crescent dart off his chest, going to stab Snuffles in the chest, but Snuffles grabs his hand and breaking, causing Marc to yell out in pain

Snuffles knees Marc in the stomach, then kicks him off his chest

Marc's hand gets magically repaired, and he stands back up

Brian and Cogger throw their tao mandala shields at Snuffles, conjuring swords while he blocks the shields

They jump at Snuffles, swinging at Snuffles, he grabs both of the sword, crushing them, causing them to fade away

Snuffles punches Brian in the face, grabbing the side of his head, knocking it into Cogger's head, knocking them both out

Marc turns control of his body to Steven, who uses his truncheon to grapple into Snuffles, pulling himself towards Snuffles, kicking Snuffles onto the ground

Steven gives control back to Marc, who quickly grabs his crescent dart off the floor, jumping at Snuffles, barely stabbing him through his armor

Snuffles chuckles

"You'll have to try harder than that!" Snuffles says

Snuffles looks to his left, noticing Kamala, who embiggens her arm, raising it and lowering onto Snuffles, narrowly missing Marc

Kamala lifts her fist and suddenly, Snuffles gets webbed to the floor

Five people land around Snuffles: Peter Parker (of Earth-96283, 120702, 199999 and 1048) and Miles Morales (of Earth-1048)

"That won't hold him for long." Kyle explains

"We have him held down temporarily, at least." Miles explains

"Heh, yeah, temporarily." Snuffles says

The ground begins to shake, unbeknownst to everyone, not from Snuffles

The swamp is covered by a shadow, everyone looks up to see a giant robot

Takuya Yamashiro pilots the robot Leopardon, picking up Snuffles

Takuya brings Snuffles closer to the head of Leopardon, staring down at him

"This is actually really cool!" Snuffles yells at Takuya

Takuya doesn't respond and instead throws Snuffles into the ground, proceeding to stomp on him with Leopardon

Brian and Cogger regain consciousness and see Leopardon crush Snuffles

They quickly get up and rush to Leopardon's foot

"It can't be that easy, right?" Brian asks

"I mean, he's never been crushed by a giant robot, has he?" Cogger asks

"It's possible." Brian says

Everyone rushes to Brian and Cogger

"Did we just win?" Kamala asks

"No way, he doesn't go down without a fight." James explains

As he says that, a green light glows through the cracks between the ground and Leopardon's foot

Then, Snuffles fires a laser through Leopardon, destroying it

Leopardon goes limp, and begins to fall forward

"RUN!" Kyle yells

Everyone runs to safety as Leopardon falls forward

Everyone dives out of the way, as Leopardon crashes into the ground

Everyone look at the head of Leopardon, as they await Takuya to step out, but he never does

"Oh shit, no, no, no." Kyle says

Strange runs to the cockpit of Leopardon, and is helped by Kamala who tears off the face of Leopardon

They finally get inside and find Takuya on the floor of Leopardon, his suit bloodied, and bones broken (im very sorry)

Strange sighs

"I hate to say it, but we were never getting out of here with zero casualties." Strange explains

Kyle rushes to the spot where Snuffles was trapped, finding nothing, he escaped

He walks back with the bad news

"He's gone." Kyle explains

"We know." Strange explains

"Not him. Snuffles." Kyle explains

"Dammit." Strange says
