"What's this?" Yuri asked, bemused by his new challenger, "I wasn't aware this backwater world actually had any duelists."

"I won't let you harm any more people. IT'S TIME TO DUEL, YURI!" Yami declared.
"Heh, as you wish."
YAMI YUGI'S TURN (Hsnd: 5, LP: 4000)
YURI (Hand: 5, LP: 4000)
"I'd hate for you to lose before even getting to play a single card, so I'll let you have the first move," Yuri taunted.
"Then I'll start off with three cards face down and one monster in defense mode," Yami announced as he made his play, "your move, Yuri."
YURI'S TURN (Hand: 6, LP: 4000)
YAMI YUGI (Hand: 2, LP: 4000)
"Is that all you can do?" Yuri scoffed as he drew his card, "with an opening play that pathetic, it'll be harder for me not to destroy you on my first turn!"
"Is that so? Then why don't you quit talking and duel?"
"As you wish," Yuri hissed as he checked his card. A wicked smile spread over his features.
"Heh, this'll be even easier then I thought!" he declared as he showed Yugi the card.
"Polymerization," Yami observed, "not surprising a Fusion Dimension duelist would open with a Fusion Summon."
"This isn't just any Fusion Summon," Yuri taunted, "by fusing two Dark Attribute Predaplants from my hand, I can summon the ultimate fused beast! I FUSION SUMMON STARVING VENOM FUSION DRAGON!"
STARVING VENOM FUSION DRAGON (Level: 8, Dragon/Fusion/Effect, Attack: 2800, Defense: 2000)
"Whoa! That dragon's back!" Natsu shouted in excitement.
"It's not paying any attention to us?" Hughes observed.
"Guessing that's their leader's monster," Sanji admitted, "which probably means Yugi's dueling him."
"We'll know soon enough," Zoro admitted.
"Hahahahah! Not a bad effort, for a duel grade schooler! STARVING VENOM FUSION DRAGON, ATTACK HIS FACE DOWN CARD!"
"It won't work, Yuri! Reveal, OBNOXIOUS CELTIC GUARDIAN!"
OBNOXIOUS CELTIC GUARDIAN (Level: 4, Warrior/Effect, Attack: 1400, Defense: 1200)
"Heh, and how is such a pathetic monster going to stop my ultimate dragon?" Yuri mocked condescendingly.
"Thanks to its special ability. The Obnoxious Celtic Guardian can't be destroyed by any monster with more than 1900 attack points."
"WHAT!?"
Sure enough, as Starving Venom Fusion Dragon's attack struck Yugi's Guardian, the elven swordsman blocked it with his blade, saving itself.
Yuri was shaking with anger at the sight of the still standing Guardian.
"You dare mock me? You'll regret this! I end my turn!"
YAMI YUGI'S TURN (Hand: 3, LP: 4000)
YURI (Hand: 3, LP: 4000)
"We'll see. DRAW!" Yami shouted as he checked his new card, "POT OF GREED ! By activating this card, I…"
"'Get to draw two cards from the top of your deck.' Honesty, what third rate amateur doesn't know what Pot of Greed does?" Yuri hissed.
"You'd be surprised," Yami admitted as he drew his cards, "I'VE DRAWN WATAPON! Since Watapon was added to my hand by Pot of Greed, I can special summon it in Defense Mode!"
WATAPON (Level: 1, Fairy/Effect, Attack: 200, Defense: 300)
"Another pathetic monster?" Yuri mocked with a sadistic smirk, "never mind Duel Kindergarten, before you challenged me, you should have graduated at least Duel Preschool!"
"My deck has no pathetic cards, Yuri," Yami declared, "and I'll prove it now. My Watapon has given me everything I need to finish you!"
"Oh? So you're delusional as well?"
"Far from it! I'm going to summon my Egyptian God card, and your dragon is going to help me do it! I summon The Winged Dragon of Ra-Sphere Mode!" Yami shouted, holding up a card from his hand, "this card requires three tributes!"
"Can't count either? How sad, you don't seem to realize you only have two monsters."
"Wrong! I sacrifice Obnoxious Celtic Guardian, Watapon, and Starving Venom Fusion Dragon!"
"Hold on! You're sacrificing my monster!"
"I am, though it comes at a cost," Yami admitted as the three monsters on the field vanished and a giant, golden orb appeared on Yuri's field.
WINGED DRAGON OF RA-SPHERE MODE (Level: 10, Divine Beast/Effect, Attack: ?, Defense: ?)
"Here's your chance, Yuri."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
By using its effect, the duelist who controls Sphere Mode can summon an Egyptian God card with 4000 attack points. If you can pull it off, this duel is yours."
Yuri's eyes widened with shock at the revelation. "You gave me the means to summon a 4000 point monster while emptying your field? What's the catch?"
"There's no catch. All you need to do is resolve Sphere Mode's effect," Yami revealed as ancient writing etched itself over the Sphere's surface, "to do that, all you need to do is decipher the ancient text to call forth the god."
"Is this some kind of joke?" Yuri growled as he looked over the writing, "no one could figure out what that says!"
"Are you certain about that?" Yami asked, smiling.
"It doesn't matter anyway! I don't need your monster to finish you off!"
"Then prove it. It's your move."
YURI'S TURN (Hand: 4, LP: 4000)
YAMI YUGI (Hand: 3, LP: 4000)
"I will!" Yuri hissed as he drew his card, "after all, you seem to have overlooked the fact that you've left yourself wide open!"
"Looks can be deceiving," Yami asserted with a confident smirk.
"Smug bastard," Yuri hissed, "you'll regret crossing me once you're trapped in a card! I SUMMON PREDAPLANT LILIZARD!"
PREDAPLANT LILIZARD (Level: 3, Plant/Effect, Attack: 1200, Defense: 1200)
"A monster with 1200 Attack Points," Yami observed, "so that's your plan."
"Heh, such a shame you didn't realize sooner! I activate the spell Monster Reborn! With this card, I can…"
"Summon a monster from either duelist's graveyard. 'Honesty, what third rate amateur doesn't know what Monster Reborn does?'" Yami mocked his arrogant foe.
"Let's see how long that smug attitude of yours survives against Starving Venom Fusion Dragon!" Yuri roared as his dragon re-emerged!
"That dragon wasn't gone for very long," Ryuko sighed as Fusion Dragon reappeared.
"I'm more curious about that orb," Histoire admitted, "the amount of power it's emitting is incredible."
"Yugi's probably planning on summoning the Winged Dragon of Ra," Sanji observed.
"Looks that way," Zoro agreed as Starving Venom attacked, "hopefully, he can hold out long enough to do it."
YAMI YUGI (LP 4000 — 1200)
Yami had to shield himself from the force of Starving Venom's attack as his Life Points dropped dangerously low.
"Heh, where's your smug confidence now?" Yuri mocked, "you're finished! ATTACK!"
PREDAPLANT LILIZARD (Attack: 1200) YAMI YUGI (LP: 1200)
"REVEAL TRAP! ETERNAL SOUL!"
"A trap card!?"
"That's right, Yuri! With the effect of Eternal Soul, I can summon from my hand, DARK MAGICIAN!" Yami roared as his ace monster appeared on the field!
DARK MAGICIAN (Level: 7, Spellcaster, Attack: 2500, Defense: 2100)
"TWENTY-FIVE HUNDRED!? My Lilizard can't defeat something like that!"
"There's more to victory then just power, Yuri," Yami declared, "now, the Winged Dragon of Ra-Sphere Mode changes to my control!"
YAMI YUGI'S TURN (Hand: 3, LP: 1200)
YURI (Hand: 2, LP: 4000)
"It won't make a difference. You're Magician can't beat my Dragon, unless you expect me to believe you can recite that chant!"
"All mighty protector of the sun and sky. I beg of thee, please heed my cry. Transform thyself from orb of light and bring me victory in this fight. I beseech thee, grace our humble game but first I shall call out thy name! COME FORTH, WINGED DRAGON OF RA!"
Yuri was as pale as a ghost. This kid had dueled like an amateur, relying on pathetic monsters until now. He had to be bluffing. It didn't take long for that confidence to crumble.
WINGED DRAGON OF RA (Level: 10, Divine Beast/Effect, Attack: ? Defense: ?)
"Holy crap!" Natsu yelped, "THAT DRAGON IS HUGE!"
"That's Yugi's god card," Luffy explained, "this'll be over quick."
"So it's friendly then? Good to know, because for a moment there, I thought for certain that this was one of those instances that tend to ruin perfectly good trousers," Vine admitted.
"Due to the effect of Sphere Mode, Ra's attack becomes 4000!" Yami explained.
WINGED DRAGON OF RA (Attack: ? — 4000, Defense: ? — 4000)
"This isn't over! You can't beat me this turn!" Yuri shouted angrily.
"REVEAL FACEDOWN CARD! MYSTIC BOX!"
"Now what!?" Yuri hissed as Dark Magician entered the Mystic Box and was quickly skewered by a dozen swords! "You destroyed your own monster!?" he exclaimed in confusion as the box began to open.
"NO!" he shrieked when his skewered Lilizard fell from the box and was destroyed! Only then did Yuri realize a second box had appeared where his dead Lilizard had been!
"Emerge, DARK MAGICIAN!" Yami ordered, prompting his Magician to exit the box.
"That can't be! Your Magician isn't even scratched!"
"THE SAME WON'T BE TRUE FOR YOUR DRAGON! RA, UNLEASH YOUR FURY AND STRIKE DOWN STARVING VENOM FUSION DRAGON!"
With a furious roar, Ra unleashed a fiery breath attack on Starving Venom. The dragon wasn't going down without a fight and met Ra's breath with its own, but the Fusion Dragon was clearly out of its league. Ra destroyed it effortlessly.
YURI (LP: 4000 — 2800)
"You can't do enough damage! I'll survive this and then you'll pay!"
"YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN FUSION SUMMON, YURI! REVEAL, POLYMERIZATION!" Yami called, revealing his final face down card!
"WHAT!?"
"I fuse Dark Magician with my Buster Blader from my hand! Now appear, ultimate master of sword and spell! I FUSION SUMMON THE DARK PALADIN!"
DARK PALADIN (Level: 8, Spellcaster/Fusion/Effect, Attack: 2900, Defense: 2400)
"This can't be happening! I can't lose to some Hyperdimension trash!"
"DARK PALADIN! ATTACK!"
