Oh boy...

Midnight: I can't believe you wrote two chapters in one day...

I mean, it's not like I'm posting them together. And I'm still feeling somewhat inspirational, so I may end up writing three.

Midnight: Are you that bored?

Pretty much, yeah. I have nothing better to do, so may as well write.

Midnight: Don't you have Sanders Sides or Undertale stuff to do or whatever?

Eh...now that I'm getting back into MCSM, those might have to wait.

Midnight: But not very long.

But not very long.

As it turns out, finding the materials to make a custom leather jacket in a single day is both exhausting and extremely difficult. I still got it done, but by the time I had made my own Ocelots jacket, Dipper (My fox friend, who I finally found a name for after thinking about stars and constellations) and I were ready to fall asleep as soon as we were home. I did find a berry bush while we were out, but Dipper got to them first.

Unlike the previous night, I fell asleep before any mobs had a chance to spawn near the house.

I woke up much earlier than I normally would have, getting ready for the big day.

"I'm acting like this is a huge deal, but it honestly isn't…" I told myself, right before remembering what happened immediately after the competition.

I couldn't stop the deal between Ivor and Petra, so I had no way to stop the wither storm from being created. What I could do was try to take the potion to stop it before Axel or Jesse could.

"Do you think I'd be able to pull it off, Dipper?" Dipper gave the closest thing he could to a shrug before attempting to ransack my food stash.

With a sigh, I opened the chest to give him an apple I got while building my house.

"There'll be food at the convention, I'm sure. If I can manage to get some, I'll definitely share with you, if you're hungry by then." That seemed to satisfy him enough to not dive for the chest again.

A knock at the door alerted me to the fact that I had to do something today. I haphazardly threw on my jacket, only then realizing that I made it a bit too big by accident, and hurried out the door, Dipper right behind me.

When we got to the competition, while Lukas was getting the five of us signed in, I could hear Jesse's group behind us as they approached.

"Oh, great, there's Lukas and the Ocelots. And it looks like they've got a new member." Axel sighed.

"And she's even got a matching leather jacket and everything…" I was somewhat thankful for Olivia not noticing that said leather jacket was too big, but then I noticed Aiden smirking and realized I wasn't the only one to hear them.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the Order of the Losers." He sneered, as Maya and Gill turned around as well.

"Great, the fail squad's here."

"Lukas, Midnight, get a load of these losers." Gill turned to us, but I simply shook my head. "Let's go, guys." Lukas said simply, and we left for our building area.

The day before when I was out with Dipper, I had grabbed some wool and different dyes, and now was trying to find some way to put them to good use so I wasn't just standing around. I knew nothing about redstone and my building skills weren't the greatest, but I still wanted to contribute in some way. With pink, purple, and blue, I could surely do something interesting. But I didn't bother to pay attention to what team name Jesse chose or the others' continued teasing.

"Is that a freakin' beacon. They have a freakin' beacon?! Freakin' beacon!?"

Axel's surprised exclamation caught me off guard, and I snapped back to attention.

"That's stained glass. They aren't just building a beacon. They're building a rainbow beacon."

Meanwhile, I was telling Lukas about my last minute idea, and he agreed to it. Aiden also did, surprisingly enough, but only after I said that I'd put it behind everything else so as to not distract anyone from the beacon.

"Hahaha! Look, it's the Order of the Losers. Again." I sighed, already irritated by the teasing, but still had no power to put a stop to it.

"Good one, Gill!" Maya laughed.

"We're just looking."

"There'll be plenty of time for you all to look at it after it wins and gets shown at Endercon. But maybe not all of you. Endercon doesn't allow outside food or drink." I finally turned to look at Aiden and the others, trying not to get too upset.

"Shut up." Jesse told him.

"What's that?" Aiden asked with a warning tone.

"He said to shut up, so you don't have to hear it again." I spoke up. Everyone else in the conversation looked at me, Aiden glaring, but I didn't back down.

"Besides, we've got work to do."

Aiden turned back to Jesse's group for one last comment.

"You're lucky I'm busy."

Just then, Petra stopped by.

"Hey Jesse. Guys." She stopped to look at me for a second, but her stare didn't last long.

"Hey, Petra." Jesse greeted her.

"How's the build going?"

"Only time will tell. But we're optimistic." That's when Lukas came up to her.

"Petra, I forgot to thank you for that nether star." I saw Axel's expression sour almost immediately, and it wasn't helped when Petra responded.

"Hey Lukas. Not a problem."

"You helped these tools?"

"For the right price, I'll help anyone." She said as she began to walk away. "If you need anything, you know where to find me."

"None of us know where to find you." Olivia pointed out.

"Exactly."

And with that, Petra was gone. The conversation came back to just Jesse's gang and our group then, but I could still feel the heat from Aiden's glare.

"No hard feelings guys. If you're cool with Petra, you're cool with us." Lukas tried to at least diffuse the earlier situation. I quickly nodded, trying not to be noticed by Aiden, but that didn't work.

"We're going to crush you." And though Jesse was being serious, Lukas either didn't see that or was trying to ignore it.

"I don't know if you know this, but... we're pretty good...oh, wait. I get it. It's like a joke, right?"

"No, I'm serious. We're going to destroy you."

Lukas just laughed in response. "Y'know, you're really funny. That's awesome. Hey, good luck."

"May the best team win." I added.

"Ladies and gentlemen… Welcome to the Endercon Building Competition." The announcer… announced. (Yeah that sentence could've been better-) "The winners of this year's competition will have their build featured at Endercon. The winners will also meet, in person, Gabriel the Warrior!" The other competitors cheered, and I did my best to feign excitement as well. Judging by how no one pointed it out, I must've done a good job.

Our team did our secret handshake, with me awkwardly going along with it and pretending that I knew what I was doing (Lukas had explained it to me when I joined, but my memory wasn't the best and I still felt silly).

And after all the rules were explained (That I also wasn't paying attention to), finally, it was time for the competition.

"Building...starts...now!"

I grabbed the dyed wool and began to make a flag.

"Should the pink go on the top or the bottom?" Dipper jumped into the air, indicating his answer.

"Yeah, that sounds right."

Two layers of wool for each color of the flag turned out to be a great idea, and I grabbed way more than I actually needed. Since my part was done, I did my best to help everyone else. But then…

"Oh, no! A fireworks dispenser?! I'm so scared!"

"Aiden!" I called up to him, not even caring anymore if he glared at me. Which he did, but like I said.

"You worry about your build and we'll worry about ours." Jesse said. I couldn't help but look over while they built a creeper over their fireworks, and figured I would be perfectly fine if they won over us simply because of that. We did receive a few compliments from others for the flag, but no one actually stayed to look.

But when Olivia pulled the lever to start the fireworks, Aiden wasn't the only one jealous of the attention.

Admit it, you wish you joined their team instead.

No.

At some point when building, I had lost track of where Dipper was. But when Aiden punched a block to let lava loose in the hopes that Jesse's build would be burned to the ground, not only did Reuben's costume catch fire, but the ensuing panic from the pig caused Dipper to panic and run off as well.

"Dipper!" Without even thinking, I ran after them both, accidentally but also somewhat purposely knocking Aiden over as I did.

I didn't hear whatever Jesse told his group to do, but when I glanced back for just a second, I saw his creeper going up in flames.

And, done.

Midnight: The most inspired you've been since 2018/2019.

Yep. Hard to believe that was 3-4 years ago already.

Midnight: Going by story age, I'd be a toddler by now.

And you're my longest lasting OC to date.

Midnight: I'm going to feel proud about that instead of wondering what OCs didn't make the cut. Speaking of, where are Alexa and Ivy?

You were just talking about OCs that didn't make the cut, where do you think they are?

Midnight: But they were my friends!

They might show up as minor characters, but I don't think they'll be serving a major role again. Besides, they were kinda treated the same way the game treats Axel and Olivia for the second half of season one and the majority of season two. That's actually part of why I rewrote the story in the first place.

Midnight: And also to make me less of a Mary-Sue.

That too. Especially that. That's one of the things that annoys me about the original story. Anyways, super long A/N aside, hope you all enjoyed, see you next time!

Midnight: Psst, Zenna, if you're reading this, let's see if we can get our stories crossing over.

-Midnight too :)
