And now, for the moment we've all been waiting for... the Portal Network Crossover!

Midnight: Disclaimer; The characters added to this story belong to A New World, not here, there you go.

I don't think that was really needed, but thanks anyway, Midnight. Now, onto the chapter.

Midnight: Which is mostly copied anyway.

Shush.

Episode 6: A Portal to Mystery; Crossover with MCSM: A New World

With the overwhelming amount of portals before us, we struggled to find which one we'd try first.

So of course, Jesse chose the portal that looked like a giant skull.

So episode six was entirely Jesse's fault. Good to know.

Before we hopped in, I heard Petra say to Lukas, "I bet you two iron this isn't our world."

While we were falling, I managed to get a look at what was below us.

There were other people there, but I didn't really have time to scream a warning. One of them noticed and warned exactly one other person (Who looked like Lukas, if he had an identical twin) and moved out of the way.

I did manage to save myself from a rough landing by falling in a bush, but the same could not be said for everyone else and the unfortunate people who were standing right below them.

Now that I could get a better look, everyone else down there looked pretty much exactly like us. There was one exception, though, that being the one girl who was smart enough to move out of the way and warn Lukas' clone.

With the two of us being the only ones that didn't have a look-alike, I had the strangest feeling that there was supposed to be some sort of connection, but the only thing we shared was an unnatural hair color, and mine, as I discovered, was only like this because of the moons being out.

Well, actually… Something that wasn't immediately obvious was some sense of authority. It was almost like both of us knew what was going on. Or would've, if it weren't for everything that just happened in the last five minutes.

I looked back at my group, which, for the most part, was crushing her's. Jesse and Lukas had both fallen on the other Jesse, Ivor had fallen on his look-alike, and the same went for Petra, and both Petras looked equally irritated by this.

The only girl not similar to anyone else in my group looked as though she were about to say something, when a horde of zombies interrupted us.

"Quick, read the book!" She shouted at what I assumed to be her Jesse, who didn't even know what she was talking about. My Jesse did, though, ran over to the invitation on the tombstone, and started speed-reading it out loud. Everyone else went to go fight zombies.

I mostly just stood there helpless, not having time to make a new weapon after my axe broke.

"Guys! I don't have anything to fight with! My axe broke during the battle!" I shouted, hoping someone would be available to help. Luckily, two people came to my rescue. The first was my Lukas, who fought anything he could near me, and the second was the girl I didn't recognize, who gave me a bow and some arrows. I whispered a quick 'Thanks' to her before starting to shoot.

I was actually aiming pretty well, to the point where I even surprised myself a little.

"Please look out for zombies, sincerely, The Host." Jesse finished reading.

"Nice warning." The two Lukases(?) huffed at once.

"Come on, there's the path! Both Jesses shouted together. Both groups looked surprised for a moment, but didn't dwell on it too long, and we ran toward the mansion. No race happened because of the shock, much to my disappointment.

Reaching the mansion, we realized there was no way to get in, because the front door was inaccessible. One of the Petras- you know what, you get the point, they pointed this out and somehow drew the attention of every zombie in the area.

"Stick with me, guys!" Jesse said, though no one except him and the other Jesse knew who he was talking to. With no other option and no easy way to tell the two apart, we all just decided to follow him to the back. Or the side, I couldn't really remember.

When passing the lake, me and the other no-lookalike girl were the only ones to actually walk around it like anyone with common sense would, as the Jesse we were following jumped across zombie heads like stepping stones and everyone else jumped over the lake entirely.

Both Jesses spotted The Host in the window, and he- she, you know who they are, looked down at us through the white pumpkin mask.

Our attention was called to the window leading into the kitchen, then to the trees we could use to build up to it, once we reached an area far less populated with zombies. After towering up and breaking the first two steps so we weren't followed, Jesse smashed the window.

"Hope the Host doesn't mind us breaking their window…"

"It's a bit late for that now." I muttered. As we were stepping inside, the girl I was somewhat starting to recognize held out her hand to me.

"Uh, hi! Uh… so what's your name?" She asked, somewhat awkwardly.

Are you going to answer her question or just stand there like an idiot?

Getting to it.

"I- uh… Midnight?" I mentally facepalmed, just when I thought I had gotten over my social awkwardness. It was also partly because I was very confused. I expected some sort of change, but nothing this big. Looking at her again, I swore I had seen her before.

And it clicked when she said her name.

"I- I'm Zenna, nice to meet you?" The realization came to us both. I had seen her before, because she was the same girl I saw the book about back in episode two or three.

Zenna walked up to me, stopping a little bit before, and motioned to a corner of the room. We walked over there, away from everyone else, and we started to figure out what was going on.

"It appears we have a world problem." We kept our voices low so no one else could hear us. While Zenna still seemed confused, I had to admit I was actually excited. Nothing had majorly changed since I was brought inside the game, so this was definitely a welcome change.

"Yeah, you're that girl from the book I read."

"You're from the book I read as well." She grinned, pulling out said book. Since it wasn't opened, I couldn't tell if it was finished or not.

Before I could ask her, something else came to our attention. Muffled voices, sounding very familiar.

Everyone else in our respective groups came to the same conclusion we did. As Sparklez and TorqueDawg walked in, I could see Zenna getting increasingly excited.

Must be a huge fan…

I, on the other hand, knew practically nothing. I knew who Sparklez was, of course, but outside of basic info, I was clueless.

"I think we could avoid a lot of unpleasantness if-" TorqueDawg suddenly shoved past Sparklez.

"What the?!"

Forgot how much of a jerk this guy was.

"Uh, hi." I think that might've been my Jesse.

"Oh, ha ha ha, very, very funny. Show up super late and make us all sit and wonder what the heck is going on! …This is your house, right?" You only think to ask us that after you chewed us out? "Cause if it is, we've all been waiting for like, hours! It's rude!"

The Jesse who was definitely mine spoke up, pulling out his invitation. "We got one of these invitations too! What the heck is going on, here?" I felt like he wasn't just referring to the invitation, either.

"Darn… Sorry for the language. That wasn't about you getting an invitation, just that I was hoping you could explain things." He gestured to TorqueDawg. "This is TorqueDawg."

"Sup."

"And I'm CaptainSparklez. Though, maybe you know that already…?" Everyone but Zenna was confused.

"My friends don't know much about you, but I'm a huge fan." Sparklez grinned, clearly proud that at least one other person in the room knew who he was.

Our introductions were…confusing, to say the least. Just imagine trying to introduce two different people who looked exactly the same and have the same names and you get the gist of it.

"Jesse? That's a girl's name." TorqueDawg remarked. "What are you guys, anyway? Some sort of, Loser Patrol?"

"TorqueDawg!"

"Oh come on, that was hilarious."

"Actually, we're the Order of the Stone. Legendary heroes, kind of a big deal." I couldn't help but roll my eyes, and Zenna groaned.

"Pfft, legendary heroes? I ain't never heard of you." While my mind tried to process that double negative, the conversation continued.

"TorqueDawg, cool it! That sea of zombies has us all trapped, so we need to try our best to get along."

"Worst. Day. Ever!"

"Just try and look on the bright side…"

"Wait, how many more people are in this place?"

"Counting us… seven?" After doing a quick mental headcount, that added up to seventeen total. Well, this would get interesting.

"Mhm, most of them useless. I tell you what, the minute all them weird zombies are gone, TorqueDawg is out of here!" I truthfully had no idea why he suddenly switched to referring to himself in the third person. He was just asking to be a red shirt.

"Okay, good to hear, the sea of zombies isn't normal, then."

"Two moons is normal though, right?" Both of them seemed confused by the question.

"Um, the moons… yeah." Muttered Sparklez.

"Why don't you know about this stuff? You from, like, out of town or something?"

Before anyone could answer, the lights went out.

"Wha-"

"What now?!"

I heard a lever being pulled, followed by arrows shooting from a dispenser and pained shouts, along with other general chaos from everyone else. When the lights came back on, our eyes needed a moment to adjust, but when they did, everyone could clearly see TorqueDawg had become a pincushion on the floor.

"Hey, Jesse… Jesse… Jesses, come here." They did, and TorqueDawg gave his very thoughtful last words. "You two got a… a girl's name."

And just like that, he was nothing but a pile of inventory.

So maybe I was being a bit lazy with changing things, that's what happens when you write two chapters in a single day.

Midnight: You really need to stop doing that.

Never. Anyways, hope that got all the main points across.

Midnight: You started writing down important stuff to remember for later?

Will you stop looking through my stuff?

Midnight: Hey, at least I know you're not plotting to kill me again.

Not yet, anyway.

Midnight: What?

Not this episode, but with that out of the way, see you next time!

Midnight: You can't just-
