Yusei's hands clenched into fists out of defensive instincts pivoting on one foot so he could face the stranger fully. And if necessary he could throw himself between the the stranger and the crowds of people who had attended the unveiling. Now that he could see the person from a better front prospective he could tell this wasn't the person he saw in the window. Whatever the stranger wore it was clearly a type of uniform, strange though it was. Possibly a cult or some group akin to what Aki used to be a part of.

Indeed the only thing the masked stranger did was stand there more fixated on a spell card oblivious to Yusei who was standing there looking at him. But the black clad strangers' words were what got Yusei's concern, the tone sounded as though he was struggling to talk. Each word was a fight to be enunciated and even then, those words were a cry for family.

"Who are you?" Yusei finally asked, wondering if his words would get the strangers' attention, though he wasn't sure if breaking the guys attention was a good idea. But it was a risk he had to take since his presence earned him no notice. Finally Yusei decided to reach out and touch the guy, beginning to wonder if maybe the stranger was a type of Duel Spirit. Was it possible that this was a spirit and because Yusei wasn't a Psychic like Aki they couldn't hear each other clearly? It sounded plausible in his mind but what did he know?

His hand reached out, casting a shadow over the strangers' arm as he reached when he realized this wasn't a normal person. From his position Yusei could see the strangers' back seemingly falling away into nothing, a nothingness that consumed him from behind erasing the strangers' presence. Consuming everything until the face was gone and the only thing left was the hand that was extended holding the card.

Absorbed more and more of the stranger until all that was left was the forearm, then elbow and arm, down to the arm and then the hand itself started to disappear. While in those last pitiful moments the fingers achingly parted letting the card fall from a set of fingers without a palm or body to hold it. Leaving Yusei standing alone on the roof with only a spell card laying abandoned on his feet. The wind from the ocean was running through his hair, carrying the scent and sounds. The eternal crash of the ocean slamming against the near by edge of the city, only to retreat again into the depths.

Somehow, the presence and now departure of the stranger felt the same way. That he manifested for a moment long enough to make an impact, then pulled back into wherever he came from. As much as he seemed to struggle just to speak, or open his fingers, it made Yusei more curious about the mask, rather than the person. Was 'it' the spirit? Was it somehow controlling the person wearing it? The person was holding a spell card which was what a great deal of equipment in the game were assigned to.

Making him wary of actually picking up the card from the ground to see what it was save the bright green that was facing up towards the sky. Yusei turned to check the stage, wondering if there were others wearing that mask around the area. Not that he was prepared to check such large distances, but the person did mention a stage and someone named 'Asuka'.

The only thing on the large televisions were the city leaders still talking, so Yusei turned back to where the card laid. Bending down to one knee he studied the card in front of him, reading the name 'Ultimate Stage Costume' from the top. Framed in green with a black text color above it with a 'Spell' indicator mark next to it. The picture itself was framed in a smoky black with a picture showing only a feminine face and hand, no other features on her yet the background was black with numerous large luminous bubbles of light.

The description below spoke of its ability to, essentially, assign and reassign its abilities to a single face up monster. If one was destroyed it could move on to another monster so long as there was one there. Which wasn't reassuring, a card like that, if the mask itself was a monster and not just something that a person wore. Would mean that this card could be used to pull people into using the mask...

But the only people he knew who could confirm or deny the information were currently in class, leaving Yusei alone with a strange spell card.

But it was a risk he was going to have to take, opting to pick up the card as a large cheer erupted behind him. Distracted, he turned to see the large tarp that had been resting over the entirety of the centerpiece of the bridge fall back. The centerpiece proved to be two structures, one taking the form of an archway. Instead of the traditional rounded top of the arch they had gone for a peak, bringing to mind a high five.

The second part was more like a ring, a golden ring that would rest on a finger with a large clear gem resting on the top. He doubted it was a diamond, that would be nothing but dangerous with the way it could reflect and intensify light. But the ring brought to mind the notion of a marriage between Neo Domino and Satellite. Symbolism he could understand and felt a mix of emotions that it was treated more like Satellite was a foreign entity being united and not the restoration of what was violently removed.

It meant well, but there was still a part of him that just...

Shaking his head he bent down and the impact of the strangers' disappearance was enough to make Yusei less wary to pick up the card. There was no feeling that it was any threat, just another discarded card left to the elements.. Or at least that was what he 'could' think of it as.

But he couldn't shake the feeling that it was more a message from that guy, a plea to get the card to someone. This wasn't a card that was abandoned, the way the guy spoke, the forced movements of his fingers, Yusei felt that this was less 'abandonment' and more 'escape'. Normally Yusei would have nothing but disdain for someone who would just abandon any of their cards. Instead this invoked a feeling that the stranger wanted the card to escape from where ever he got pulled back to.

But all Yusei knew was the name 'Asuka' and that they were on stage, having been distracted by this stranger, if she ever showed up on camera... He missed it.

All the same he refrained from putting this new card with either his main or side decks and instead slipped it in the inner pocket of his jacket. There was no way he was making it to the stage before everyone left, but he hoped the card alone would be good enough for the girls. Leaving him with nothing more to do than to just stand and hope that finally Satellite could finally recover...

The dining room was a nice size, the table that had only accommodated two small children for years was beginning to find more uses. The twins sat there with their books open and pen to paper but now with Aki sitting at the table as well. Her own books open, helping the twins when they got stumped while the scent of Yusei cooking dinner filled the air.

It wasn't originally going to be a complicated meal, and he already warned them he only knew how to make the most basic of meals. Aki occasionally getting up, would disappear into the kitchen and whenever she emerged again, shortly thereafter the smells became more invigorated. Giving the twins an idea that whatever Yusei was making, Aki was adding flavor to it.

"Finally!" Rua shut his assignment book and dropped his pen in relief as he sat back. He glanced at his sister who had already finished, and was currently going over her answers again double checking them. "Oh come on Ruka, relax we're done!"

"Yes, well I want to make sure I didn't make any mistakes..." She pointed out as she went over another question.

Rua groaned at his sisters' seriousness before resting his head on his arms, "Big Brother?" He called out, then figuring that Yusei wasn't the type to reply continued, "Did you go to see the unveiling?"

"Yes," Yusei called out as he monitored the food following Aki's instructions. Sandwiches, some vegetables, a list of foods that would be best for Ruka to have due to the her heart. There were some fruit that Aki found that she had informed him she would cut up for the dessert.

"Annnnd?" Rua followed up, to try and remind Yusei that context was a wonderful thing that helped build a world of pure imagination.

"The roads were crowed so I climbed up to the top of a building to watch. Once dinner is done I want to talk to talk to you three about something." He replied from the kitchen, startling the twins into looking over at Aki expectantly for answers.

But her expression was also one of surprise, caught between looking down at her paper and turning her head up only slightly in response. From the corner of her eye she could see the twins looking at her, causing her to shake her head in the negative. That Yusei was actively going to initiate a conversation was enough to get the twins to shut their completed assignments and put their stuff up.

"We'll help!" Rua announced before getting out of his chair again to make his way into the kitchen. Ruka following behind while Aki continued her homework assignment, leaving the twins to start fixing up the table for dinner.

It was endearing to watch as Rua began laying out dinner plates and chopsticks for each place, going so far as the slip a plate next to Aki. The twins were so much more light hearted and free now that Yusei was living with them. Even when they were at Aki's place there was always an undercurrent of concern from them.

Apologetic distrust. Borne from the fact that Ruka's heart and Rua's blackout could have negative consequences for them. They clearly didn't want to leave Neo Domino and anything that could get reported to the doctor was another check mark in sending them away. Now with Yusei assuming control while he lived there they didn't have to worry as much. No longer having to yoke themselves to a fear, now free to run and if it was important. Yusei would pull them back.

This close to the pair and now Akis' Mark was almost tingling with that excitement, making it harder to focus on her homework. All that happiness and relief just funneled through Ruka's mark, speaking on behalf of both twins. With the girl now appearing, some apples and oranges peaking out of a bowl she carried. Possibly with a cutting knife inside said bowl, but all in all they could have a whole meal and not worry about getting up. With Rua taking off to collect cups for drinks to go with their dinner, a cute and modest dinner, almost like a family really.

But as cute as this was, that Yusei wanted to talk after dinner struck her of all the times that her father would have a 'sit down' to discuss things. True Yusei wasn't her father, and so more than likely this was either about their Marks or about Duel Spirits. Yet somehow it made her feel anchored down despite the near sugar plum happiness that the twins were giving off. So she forced her focus back down into her homework. The smell of dinner making her aware that soon would be meal time and she needed to finish like now.

The knife was found in the bowl as expected, the sharp tip piercing the vivid red skin of the apple before plunging further into the fruit. The twins being indifferent to the skin, allowed Aki to focus more on slicing the apples. They were still at the table, instead of moving off to the couches, Yusei sitting on the other side of the table, literally leaving the three of them facing their 'leader'.

Yusei had taken off his jacket, but as Aki worked cutting apple slices he reached over and produced the card he had taken from the building's roof. The table had been cleaned off and after taking one more look at the card, he held it out for the trio. Though mostly focused on Ruka due to her experience and Aki's focus on cutting fruit.

"I found this card at the roof I was watching the unveiling from. If that was all it would be fine, but the circumstances to how I found it was interesting." Yusei answered turning the card so Ruka could see it, but pulled it away from her hand when she reached for it. Her surprise at his response caused him to shake his head against her touching it. "The guy holding the card was dressed in a smoky black outfit, and he literally disappeared as though a portal scooped him up. He left the card, but until I know its safe, I don't want to risk any one else."

"Oh... I see..." Ruka answered and put her hand on her lap, allowing Yusei to lower the card again so she and her brother could see it better. Once the image was in Ruka's head she turned to look up at Aki. "You should see too," her eyes lowering to watch how Aki had been slicing out the apple cores parts from the slices of the apples.

"A spell card," Aki noted aloud before shifting her gaze to Yusei. "Ok?"

"I'm wondering if this is considered a 'Duel Spirit' type card. I've seen duel spirits from the monster cards we carry, Divine used a fireball from a spell card against me, but do spell cards have duel spirits too?" Yusei inquired as brought the card closer for Aki to see.

"I-I don't know, all my friends are in Monster Cards," Ruka stumbled before giving a slight apologetic smile.

Leaving Aki as the only one to really have any possible knowledge on the matter, from her years of experience with the Academy. She looked the card over studying each portion of it before she finally began to give any assessment.

"Spells and Traps are unique, with monster cards you see the monsters, but often times with spells and traps the 'people' are just there to help express the card." She explained as she finally put the last slice of apple down and began sliced her way into the orange and began peeling the thick orange skin off it. "Goblins work a bit different because they're in so many cards with unique appearances, so its possible with them."

Only this wasn't a goblin based card.

"For the most part though, if there's the image of a being, they don't appear with the trap or spell unless its as a type of prop."

"But, what if this was someone's favorite card? Instead of a monster card they focus on the spell or trap card instead?" Yusei asked as he turned the card back around and studied the image once more. "After what Witch of the Black Rose said regarding how spirits begin their lives."

Aki nodded as she started thinking back to the conversation that they had shared at Carly's apartment. "Yes, that's true and it is something you see in both yours and Rua's decks with the sentient phones and such. However; in this case it might prove pointless anyway, because of what the spell card 'is'." She explained as she put the orange down, sliding it to the others before she began working on another orange. Allowing the twins and Yusei to enjoy a light dessert. "See they have ways to modify a mouth onto their persons. Or at least a voice box, that allows for them to communicate, but read what this is. Its a 'costume' its clothes, it was never created to develop a Spirit if you will."

Yusei took up a slice of apple and leaned back into his chair in thought as did the twins gathering up fruit slices and enjoying themselves. "So.. even if it manifested a soul of its own, it lacks the ability to communicate with anyone.." Ruka noted.

"Well save changing their clothes," Rua corrected waving a slice of apple before popping it into his mouth. Gleefully catching the slice then twisting it so it looked like a smile on his face made of apple.

Ruka rolled her eyes at his antics, but she appreciated his input and thought about the Spirits as well. "So this guy was standing on the roof of the building watching the unveiling and holding that card?"

"Yes, he mentioned 'Sister' and 'Asuka' but I never got the chance to see who he was talking about..." Yusei began when Aki perked up as did the twins.

"That would be Tenjoin, Asuka and Ryo went to the event to represent the school's stance and support for the bridge!" Aki noted as something slid into place in her mind, causing her to put the orange down. Tasting the soft dust of peel as her fingers went to cover her mouth as alarm filled her while Yusei sat lost to the expression on the trio before him. "You said dark hair... could it have been Fubuki? Her brother?!"

"Can't be... they say that he ran away, but that's not like the Blizzard Prince. He'd have to be dead..."
