"So, we all took a look at the first ten chapters," Katie said when looking at Harry.
"All of the triumphs, the thrills, and the tragedies," Alicia said.
"And can we all agree that Harry's stronger than we ever thought he was?" Angelina asked.
The members of the former Gryffindor team responded.
"I knew Harry was strong," George said.
"And we had a pretty good idea about how his relatives were a bunch of wankers," Fred agreed. "But, seeing everything over the past ten chapters, we really had no idea."
"Some of us had a better idea than others," Sara said.
"And about Astra, wow, that's rough," Angelina said. "At least you found each other."
"And he found Kara as well," Astra reminded them. "And I can't thank you enough for being there for him."
"It's not a problem," Kara said. "Harry was there for me just as much."
"Harry was there for all of us," Lena said.
There were many murmurs in agreement.
"So, I hate to be that guy," George said. "But, if Harry's here, does that mean…"
"We won?" Katie asked.
Harry said nothing else although he let them draw their own conclusions.
"At what cost though?" Fred asked.
"We'll get to that later," Ron said. "Right now, it's Quidditch time."
The entire team grinned in spite themselves.
"Yeah, first game with the best team," Katie said before she realized Ron was standing there.
"Don't bother apologizing about taking offense," Ron said. "I'm happy being second best to Wood. He was superb."
"There's not nearly enough room in this ship if you keep peppering me with compliments like that," Wood said but he was smiling. "This was a memorable one, wasn't it team?"
"For all of the wrong reasons," Katie said. "Harry's first game and mine."
"Sorry for stealing that spotlight from you, Katie," Harry said.
Katie leaned in and kissed Harry on the cheek.
"I'll overlook it, because we all had fun out there," Katie said. "And we showed them why Gryffindor was the best team ever."
"And Alicia was moving to the full team," George said. "Although, I don't know why we didn't have any reserves, considering…"
"I got cocky," Wood admitted. "And lucky that Harry landed in our lap when he did."
"So, shall we get to this then?" Ava asked.
"Let's not waste any more time," Sara said. "Gideon, if you please."
"Chapter eleven," Gideon read. "Quidditch."
The Gryffindor Quidditch team cheered, along with Ron, Zari, Astra, Kara, Nora, and Lita. Malfoy smiled before he was caught and his face turned into a sneer.
The beginning chapter describes the lead up to the Quidditch game between Gryffindor and Slytherin.
"Never really got why they put the most anticipated game first," Lita said.
"Well, I guess they wanted to start the season off with a bang," Katie said.
"And Gryffindor against Slytherin always had the best action," Angelina said.
"Although sometimes for the wrong reasons," Alicia added.
Talking about Harry reading Quidditch Through the Ages and all 700 fouls, all committed in the Quidditch World Cup of 1473. And the fact that Seekers always have the most injuries.
"They're not kidding," Harry said.
"Oh, of course," Astra said.
"To be fair, most of Harrykins injuries are due to some pretty extraordinary circumstances that you don't see in your average Quidditch match," George said.
"But, you're going to have to see that later," Fred said.
"Potter's really lucky to not be dead," Malfoy said.
Honestly, no one could dispute this. So, they did not.
"That Quidditch Game from 1473 sounds really violent," Mick said. "I want to go see it."
"No, Mick," Ava said.
"Sara?"
"No, Mick," Sara said.
Mick just growled.
"What's the most fouls you ever had in a game?" Lita asked.
"Um, thirty or forty, I think," Katie said.
"Nowhere near seven hundred at least," Angelina said. "Damn it, now I want to see that game, just to see it."
"It's a fixed point, "Ava said. "Going there is very hazardous."
"Why do I see us having to go to a fixed point eventually?" Zari asked.
"Because, you've recognized how things normally go for the Legends?" Kara asked.
Zari just smiled and shrugged.
Hermione being a bit more relaxed followed after becoming friends with Harry and Ron.
"Thankfully," Astra said. "Not sure how much more of that Hermione I could stand."
"Me either," Hermione murmured.
"Oooh, fire in a jam jar," George said.
"Kinda a depends on the teacher about how well that's going to fly" Fred said.
Snape showed up, limping.
"And that's the kind of teacher who would not approve," George said.
"Ol sourpuss Snape," Fred said. "Always a ray of sunshine that one."
Ron smiled, it was nice to see the twins joking and alive. And with both ears, that was important.
"He just can't help himself," Astra said.
"Severus Snape's middle name should be petty," Nora said.
The scene with the book and Snape saying that library books are not to be taken outside of the school.
"Well, that's plenty of bullocks right there," George said.
"Because, we're pretty sure that's not a school rule," Fred said.
"Although damage the books at your own peril with Pince swooping around," George said.
"You two seem to know an awful lot about the school rules," Astra said.
Identical smirks flashed upon the faces of the Twins.
"Well, we have to know," George said.
"Not as fun to break the rules, if you don't know them by heart," Fred said.
"Damn straight," Mick said in agreement.
The trio commented about Snape's limping and Ron's hope that it really hurt him.
"Savage, little brother," George said.
"Technically, I'm older than you lot now," Ron said.
"Ah, but not prettier," Fred said. "So, what did happen to the eye anyway?"
"Spoilers," Ron said.
"Ah, figures," George said.
"Snape appears to have had an encounter with our friend in the forbidden corridor," Constantine said.
"Obviously up to something," Astra said.
"It's suspicious, but there's more to this than meets the eye," Constantine said. "Not that Snivellus does himself any favors with his cheerful demeanor."
"He never does," Harry agreed.
Harry always thought about Snape being on Dumbledore's side more than his. And there was plenty of disgusting things about Snape's behavior that made Harry never want to forgive him. Never mind name a child after him, and Dumbledore in part.
Although, Harry was not as miffed about that as Ginny was, who sent howlers for three straight weeks to Joanne's office about how her character got assassinated for allowing a child to be named that.
We see a scene with Hermione helping go over Harry and Ron's homework. She insisted in going over their homework, although neither asked to copy it.
"Huh, that's interesting," Nora said. "Harry and Ron…well their characters, come across as a bit lazy."
"Oh, Harry helped me fine-tune a couple of things," Hermione said. "And they weren't lazy."
"In the Novelization, Rowling said that you wouldn't let us copy," Ron said.
"I wouldn't, but you never asked," Hermione said. "And you really didn't need to. And after a while, Harry helped me smooth out a few edges on Charms and Defense. You were a bit better on Herbology, although not as good as Neville. And Care of Magical Creatures later on."
"Hard not to be with Charlie as a brother," Ron said.
"And Transfiguration, History, and Potions were my thing," Hermione said.
"Although, I could do better at Potions with a better teacher," Harry said.
"Yes," Hermione agreed with a heaving sigh.
"Snape's not really adequate to deal with children," Kara said..
"Understatement of all fucking understatements," Katie said with a sigh. "I loved Potions. I really did. But there was no way I was going to make it into NEWT year with him."
"Tonks did, somehow," Harry said. "Nymphadora Tonks."
"Ah, you don't call her by that first name though," George said.
"Only Harry and Sara can get away with it," Ava chimed in.
"Oh, I liked her, when I met her," Astra said. "When did you meet anyway?"
"Before fifth year," Harry said.
"So, a while before we meet her," Lena said.
"Good to have her watch your back," Sara said. "But, I wouldn't trust Nymphadora with anything breakable."
Everyone who knew Tonks nodded in agreement.
Harry's bold declaration about him not being afraid of Snape, and Ron and Hermione saying that it's better him than them.
"Well, that's nice," Astra said. "Leave him to deal with Snape himself."
Hermione and Ron both looked uncomfortable underneath Astra's inquisitive gaze.
"Snape was scary," Ron said.
"I'm not scared of him," Astra said.
"I'm not either," Kara said. "I'd back Harry up."
"Me too," Astra said.
"I would too, if I was there," Sara said.
Ron sighed.
"Okay, I guess we should have been a bit braver there," Ron said.
"Hard to compare to Harry Potter, and his balls the size as Bludgers," George said.
"Which is a good thing we didn't mistake his naughty bits for the Bludgers and try and use them to knock the other team around, ever," Fred said. "Which could have damaged the merchandise."
The men in the room all winced at the thought of getting their balls batted. And not the kind you play sports with either.
"Oh, damn good thing you didn't," Katie said.
"There would be a group of homicidal women after you," Sara said.
"Starting with our lovely Chasers, right?" George asked.
Katie, Angelina, and Alicia all grinned.
"I would be more concerned with the girl who could shoot heat from her eyes myself," Ron said.
"And the woman who knows about seven ways to kill you and make it look like an accident," Sara said. "And about nine different ways to hide a body where it never would be found."
Everyone blinked and Sara smiled.
"League training," Sara said.
"That's our Captain," Zari said fondly.
The next scene plays.
Erotic music starts playing as Gideon reads the next line in a sultry voice.
"Snape and Filch inside, alone. Snape was holding his robes above his knees."
There had been a long pause as everyone looked various states of revolted because of how Gideon read that last line.
"Sorry, I couldn't resist," Gideon said.
"Snape and Filch?" Lita asked. "That sure beats my fan fiction."
"My poor virgin ears," George groaned. "Both of them!
"Still a better love story than Twilight," Sara deadpanned.
Everyone in the room nodded in agreement.
"Taking notes for the next novel, Mick?" Harry asked.
"Vividly," Mick said dryly.
"Wait, you're a writer?" Hermione asked.
"Rebecca Silver, at your service," Mick said.
This caused Hermione Granger's mind to blue screen. Harry broke out into laughter.
"Wait, you're Rebecca Silver?" Ron asked. "I read your books…you know, for the plot."
"Right," Lita said. "The plot."
"Let's continue so we can get these images out of my head," Malfoy said in disgust. "What the hell is wrong with people?"
"I have to agree with Malfoy," Constantine said. "Seriously, what the actual bloody fuck?"
"A lot, Malfoy," Kara said. "A lot."
The Legends just mm hmmed before the story continued.
We see that Filch is helping patch Snape up. And Snape is complaining about not being able to keep his eye on all three heads.
"That's very suspicious," Lena said. "And I don't mean the unholy imagery of Snape and Filch."
"You know that's someone's OTP," Lita said.
"So is Umbridge and centaurs," Nora said.
"Moving along!" Sara said hastily.
Harry trying to pull an exit, stage left, but Snape catching and snapping at him.
"All things considered, I'm really surprised you didn't lose any house points," Alicia said.
"I'm a quick runner," Harry said.
"What, do you really think, if you don't hear the teacher taking the points, it doesn't count?" George asked.
"Because, I'm not quite sure it works that way," Fred said. "But then again, we never been ones to leave the scene of a crime and not admire our handiwork."
"Other than, the really big time we left with a bang," George said. "And even then we had a lot to admire on the way out."
Those who knew of the Weasley Twins exit during their fifth year all smiled.
"And I thought I was supposed to be faster than a speeding bullet," Kara said.
"But at least I didn't have to leap a tall building in a single bound," Harry said.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione have a discussion about Snape and Hermione was adamant Snape would not steal something that Dumbledore was keeping safe.
Hermione said nothing, but one could see a very obvious "fuck you, I was right" look appear on her face.
"Wouldn't put anything past him either," John said. "But he just seems too obvious right now. And as much as I loathe the man, he owes his freedom to Dumbledore. Not that necessarily puts him on Harry's side."
Hermione once again kept her mouth shut, but she was confident that the story would prove that Dumbledore did the right thing in the end.
Breakfast the next morning, with Harry not being able to eat because of nerves.
"You'll be great out there," Astra said. "I wish you had a bit more confidence in yourself."
"I do now," Harry said.
"To be fair, my stomach would be in knots as well," Nora said.
"And Seamus really helped with his comment about the Seeker being clobbered first," Katie said dryly. "And for the record, I was terrified out of my mind. Angelina had been working with me Alicia around the clock to get our timing down, but it really didn't click until I was out there in that first game."
"Really?" Harry asked. "But, you three looked amazing out there."
"We were," Alicia said. "But, it could have gone wrong."
"And we never had a problem again with our timing after that first hurdle," Angelina said.
"Oliver?" Harry asked.
"I'm glad they got their timing down," Wood said. "And I'm glad this game went as well as it did. All things considered."
"No kidding," Ron murmured.
Oliver Wood's speech with the rest of the team.
Fred, George, and Angelina all mouthed their parts.
"Even after these years, you still have it down," Harry said.
"I'm glad you remembered it all," Wood said.
"It was an inspiration," George said while wiping a tear from his cheek.
The prelude to the Quidditch game, with Harry's first impressions of Flint.
"Troll blood," Lita said. "And the cover boy for the big book of British smiles."
"Really, is there no dental hygiene in the Wizarding World?" Zari asked in disgust.
"There are spells to clean and fix teeth," Malfoy said. "Unfortunately, Flint is disgusting enough where he could not be bothered. It was a good thing for him that his father was connected well enough and he was a good enough Chaser."
"So, his mother was the troll?" Ron asked.
"No, his grandmother," Malfoy said. "It leaves a lot of questions that are better off unanswered."
"I'd say," Sara agreed.
And everyone moved on without further comment.
The beginning of the game with Lee Jordan's commentary about Angelina being attractive
"It was kind of a running joke after a while," Angelina said. "I dared him to do it, to see how fast McGonagall would shut him down."
"Oh,Angie, I didn't know you had it in you," George said.
"Best Quidditch commentator out there," Wood said. "Well worth checking out the other games."
"Coming from you that's high praise," Fred said.
"And he never seemed to want to stop to tweak McGonagall's nose," George said.
"Things weren't the same without him," Ron said.
"No, they weren't," Harry said.
More of the Quidditch game, followed by Hagrid in the stands with Ron and Hermione.
"Weird, a shift of point of view," Mick said .
"That didn't happen in the newer books, that much," Lita said.
"Because, they were mostly from Harry's viewpoint," Ron said. "Rowling did interview us, at least for the first book."
"She must have decided to just go third-person limited from Harry's point of view," Hermione said.
"With a couple of exceptions, yes," Harry recalled.
"I have to know," Nora said. "How did she get the information to write that first chapter? Because, surely, Vernon wasn't going to be too cooperative."
Harry just shrugged.
"I don't know," Harry said.
More of the game with Harry's pursuit of the Snitch. And Flint getting pelted by the Bludger, always a crowd pleaser. And then Flint knocked the broom off balance.
"DAMN YOU!"
Astra jumped to her feet. Katie, Angelina, and Alicia looked less than impressed by Flint's action.
"Good thing for Harry's reflexes," Sara said. "Because, he might have gotten knocked off."
"I was fine," Harry said. "A little shaken."
"Should have hit that Bludger harder," Fred said.
"Agreed," George said.
The comment Dean made about sending Flint off with a red card and Hagrid's agreement.
"I agree with both Dean and Hagrid," Astra said. "Such a cowardly attack."
Lee's commentary, with McGonagall's corrections, until he finally concedes that attack could happen to anyone.
"Not really," Lena said. "Only to Harry."
"The Chaser really shouldn't be attacking the Seeker," Katie said.
"The Beaters are the only ones that should be," Alicia said. "But, it's Slytherin."
"Yes, because Gryffindor really plays much fairer," Malfoy said snidely.
Harry's broom starts acting up.
The progress of everyone's eyes followed Harry veering all over the place.
"Of course," Astra said. "What happened now?"
"Lost control of my broom," Harry said.
"I thought you said you were fine," Astra said.
"From Flint," Harry said. "This is something else entirely."
"Jump!" Kara yelled. "Jump now!"
"Are you insane?" Lena asked.
"Well, you should have jumped," Kara said. "Otherwise that broom is only going to go higher. It's going higher, and it's going to hurl you off anyway."
"That would be the most insane thing ever," Alicia said.
"There's no way Harry could have made that jump without breaking every bone in his body," Angelina said.
"Oh, don't tell Harry the odds," Sara said. "Ever"
"I could have made the jump," Harry said. "But, I didn't think to do it at the time."
"Someone sabotaged his broom," Astra said.
"Not anyone in Slytherin," Malfoy said.
"Malfoy's right," John said. "Only the darkest of dark magic can mess with a Nimbus racing broom."
"Oh that's even worse," Astra said. "WHAT THE HELL ARE THE TEACHERS DOING IN ALL OF THIS?"
Harry pulled Astra in tighter. Her eyes watched Harry on his out of control broom.
"That's a good question," Hermione admitted.
"Search me,"Ron said.
"Please tell me someone did something soon," Astra said.
Hermione responded with a nod.
"This is a lot worse in hindsight," George said in undertone to Fred.
"Yeah," Fred seriously said. "It's a miracle Harry didn't get hurled into the stands."
Thankfully, Astra did not hear that. But, Kara did and she scowled deeply.
The broom continues to go out of control, despite Harry's team helping him. And Hermione noticed Snape in the stands, muttering.
"Snape?" Astra asked. "I was too easy on him if he's doing this."
"Not to be defending Snivellus, but he could be performing a counter-curse," John said.
John studied the scene very closely, to notice any tells. His eyes flickered to Snape and tried to deduce what he was doing.
Astra knew Harry was okay, but it still weighed on her nerves that he was put in such peril.
"Is there ever going to be a chapter where you're not in mortal peril?" Astra asked.
"Eventually," Harry dryly responded.
"There are a lot of chapters in these books" Zari said.
Hermione runs off, Fred and George tried to get Harry onto one of their brooms with no avail, and Flint scores while everyone is preoccupied.
"Slime," Kara said.
"You better hurry, and do whatever you're going to do," Astra said.
"I don't run as fast as Harry," Hermione said. "And you know this already happened…"
"I KNOW!"
Hermione knocked Quirrell headfirst into the row in front on her way to Snape.
John blinked. Curious. And another point of Quirrell being rather suspicious.
Hermione sets Snape on fire to distract him
The group all looked with their mouths wide open at the spectacle before them.
"HERMIONE GRANGER!" Fred and George shouted in unison.
"You set a teacher on fire," Katie said. "I never would have believed it."
"You went from saying that Snape would never do anything, to setting him on fire," Kara said. "That was a bit extreme."
"It was completely stupid!" Mick thundered which caused Hermione to jump up in surprise. "If the wind blew the wrong way, it could have hit innocent people. You could have burned yourself. Given Snape's hair is caked in grease, it might have spread out of control and hurt other people."
"It's fine, I got the fire off of him," Hermione said.
"It's still dangerous and reckless," Mick said. "You don't fuck around in fire like that! And you were eleven when you did this!"
"Twelve," Hermione corrected.
"You could have done anything to distract him, but you play with one of the most dangerous and unpredictable things ever, fire," Mick said. "The number of times I've burned myself and I know what I'm doing. But, you didn't know what you're doing. You could have killed him or someone else. And you would have ruined your entire life because of one stupid mistake!"
"It worked out fine though," Hermione said.
"Well, at least it distracted Snape," Angelina said. "Dumbledore really let him get away with this?"
"I wonder about that man sometimes," Katie said.
"Well, Snape bargained his way out of being a Death Eater, so he might have told Dumbledore that he was trying to stop Harry's broom from going out of control," George said.
"Or he could have been stopping the real culprit," John said. "Did you all notice something else in that scene?"
"Quirrell was knocked out before Hermione got to Snape," Lena said.
"Right," John said
"But him?" Astra asked.
"It's never the ones who are the most obvious," John said. "Maybe I'm wrong. But, we'll have to read and find out."
Harry offered no insight. He gripped Astra's hand tighter as they saw Snape's distraction.
Harry is safe and catches the Snitch by swallowing it and coughing it out into his hand.
"Way to deep throat it, Harry," Sara said. "Didn't think you had it in you."
"Thanks," Harry said.
"Legendary," Lita said.
"It was one of the most memorable catches ever," Wood said.
"And you know, there's no rule that says you have to catch the Snitch with your hand," George said.
Astra grinned although weekly.
"Only you would have a Snitch fly down your throat, despite all of that," Astra said.
"Only Harry," Wood agreed. "Always finds new ways to amaze us."
"I know, right," Katie said.
The other members of the Team smiled.
Harry was back at Hagrid's Hut, with Ron and Hermione filling in Harry on what they thought happened. And Hagrid's disbelief.
"I like Hagrid," Sara said. "But,he can have his blindspots."
"Yes," Ron replied darkly. "I noticed."
Ron's little adventure in the Forest during his second year proved that point well. But they would get to that.
"Don't think it's Snape," John said. "Only because for all of his faults, he is loyal to Dumbledore."
Harry mentions about what he knows about the three-headed dog and we find out that it's named Fluffy.
"Cute name," Astra said. "You would never know just how much of a menace it is."
"The nicer the name, the more savage the beast," Harry said. "Rule number one for dealing with Hagrid's pets."
"Agreed," Ron and Hermione said in unison.
"You would think that Fang would be a ferocious creature," Sara said. "But he's a big old softie."
"Coward as well," Malfoy murmured.
The final conversation, with Hagrid slipping up and mentioning Nicholas Flamel.
"The Alchemist?" Katie asked in surprise. "He made the…"
Katie's tongue got tied.
"Spoiler, Katie," Harry said.
She pouted and Harry kissed her playfully before pulling away from her. Kara snickered in amusement at her pouting.
"Oh, Hagrid, you're about as subtle as a barbed wire enema," John groaned.
"No kink shaming on the ship, John," Sara said. "But, he dropped that name on purpose."
"Yeah," Lena said. "If you knew who Flamel is, which I'm surprised Hermione didn't."
Hermione just shrugged.
"I don't know everything," Hermione said.
"Can I get a recording of you saying that, Granger?"
"Piss off Malfoy," Hermione said.
"Oooh, feisty," Lita said.
"Another bread crumb has been dropped," Astra said. "Dumbledore's using Hagrid as an intermediary to feed you all this information. I hope you realize that."
"Now, yes," Harry said. "Then, not so much."
"Over the years though, you pieced together things," Kara said.
"I'll talk more about what I've concluded about Dumbledore later," Harry said. "It runs into spoiler territory."
Astra took that as confirmation they were just getting started with Dumbledore.
"So, that's the chapter," Ava said.
"And we'll be leaving," Angelina said. "Thanks for having us here. It was quite the experience to relieve this."
"No problem," Sara said. "Stop by again any time."
"We'll see you next book," Ava said.
"Looking forward to it," Katie said. "It was nice meeting you all."
The three Chasers shook hands, and kissed Harry goodbye. Wood shook hands all around before moving off.
Kara grinned when she heard the Chasers talk excitedly about how handsome Harry had gotten. To be fair, Kara thought Harry was always handsome.
"Talk to you all later," Wood said.
This left Fred and George in the room with the group.
"Don't mind if we stick around for a bit?" George asked.
"Would like to see a lot of the things we only heard about second-hand," Fred said.
"Do you two think you can behave yourselves?" Sara asked.
"We'll do our best, Captain Lance," George said.
"But, no promises," Fred said.
"Wonderful," Malfoy said. "More ginger. I've been trying to cut that out of my diet."
"Behave yourself as well, Malfoy," Sara warned him. "Are you guys ready?"
"Please be a lighter chapter than the last three," Astra said.
Honestly, Astra was looking forward to seeing Harry's first Quidditch game and the fact it was ruined by some idiot hexing his broom upset her.
"Gideon, if you will," Harry said.
To Be Continued.
