Rising Moon
Summary: A second chance wasn't something I, Aldrin Zevon, expected. I didn't expect to wake up in a five-year-old body in a forest, nor did I expect what would come after. A multiverse of possibilities has opened up to me, and I intend to take it for all it is worth. SI-OCxHarem, Fairy Tail/Multicross Story

Chapter 11
So, as it turned out, penning a letter to Grammi was harder than I thought it was going to be.
Firstly, I had to seriously think about what the contents of the letter would be. There was no way I'd be able to convincingly make the letter out to be from Layla, I didn't know her speech patterns or mannerisms and Grammi would see through it in a heartbeat as a loyal servant to Layla.
But I also couldn't just have it be a letter from a random nobody, that way Grammi would ignore it and it would result in her own death, the death of Layla, and it would cause Brandish to inevitably become a member of the Spriggan 12 under Zeref.
Which ultimately left me with one choice… Masquerade as an oracle. I had to word the letter correctly, or else she might think of it was a joke and not read through all of it.
With that in mind, I spent days thinking carefully of how to write this letter and- looking down at what I'd written- I think I finally cracked the code.
Grammi Mμ,
Before you read any further, this letter is not a joke. It is not a prank, and it is not an attempt to sell you anything you don't want. This letter is very real, and very serious, and I beg of you- even if you think of it was a joke now- to read it until the end. Lives- yours and that of Layla Heartfilia- are at stake.
I am an Oracle. If you are unaware of what that it, it is one who has obtained the power to see into the future. My visions of the future have told me of a grave fate that will come unto you and your lady should you not heed my instructions.
First and foremost, I will speak of Layla Heartfilia.
On the 7th of July, in the year 777, Layla Heartfilia will open the Eclipse Gate. It is imperative that you are present on that day to ensure she has Aquarius' Key, or else she will use her own magic to fill the gap and force the gate open. In doing so, she will contract Magic Deficiency Disease, and pass away. She will be unable to receive help in time and will thus pass away.
When you go to visit her after receiving the message far too late, as you leave… Zoldeo will kill you through bitterness and misguided anger that you were responsible for Layla's death since you failed to deliver the key due to living in Alvarez.
These actions will ultimately lead to your daughter living a life without you, and ultimately joining the Alvarez Army, inevitably becoming a member of the Spriggan 12 under Emperor Spriggan himself.
For the sake of your daughter and yourself, you MUST leave Alvarez. Emperor Spriggan's true identity is none other than the Black Mage, Zeref. You must leave Alvarez and return to Ishgar to ensure your daughter does not end up serving under such a man.
I know it is asking a lot for you to leave your home, so you may feel free to disregard this part of the letter, but I highly recommend you listen to me. Perhaps you could live at the Heartfilia Manor, and Brandish and Layla's daughter- Lucy- could become good friends?
Finally, your daughter. She has an absurd amount of magic power, and will be very proficient in a magic known as Command T. It is my suggestion you nurture such a thing and, if possible, she is old enough you suggest she join the Fairy Tail Guild in Magnolia. It is a warm guild, where everyone sees each other as family, and I believe she would be a welcome addition to the guild.
I repeat, this letter is not a joke, it is not an attempt to scam you out of money. This is a letter I am making in an attempt to save countless innocent lives, including your own life, the life of Layla Heartfilia, and potentially countless others who may be affected.
Sincerely,
The Moon Oracle.
I read and then re-read the letter several times to make sure it was what I wanted, and then nodded. I didn't think I'd be able to write a better letter than that.
With that, I went to the best courier service I could find, and I paid a- frankly- ridiculous amount of jewels in order to ensure that the letter would be delivered at top speed, with all haste, completely securely.
Now, all I could do was pray that something wouldn't happen that would result in the letter either not being read, or in it being destroyed. Or pray that Grammi took the letter seriously and got the fuck out of Alvarez as soon as possible with Brandish.
With that, I finally moved to the outskirts of the city, a good distance away to prepare for my first jump.
Truthfully, there was more I'd like to do in this world before I left, I'd like to become an official member of Fairy Tail and such, reassure everyone that I was okay…
But it was better to lay low for now. There's no way all the prisoners would be able to keep their mouth shut about me, especially my name, and word would definitely reach the ear of the magic council. And I already knew the council had some corrupt members in it, so it was for the best I lay low.
The best way to lay low? Go to an entirely different world.
"Time for the world Gacha," I muttered jokingly to myself. After all, that's what the world travel would be unless I found some way to refine the spell: a gacha. A random chance for a random world.
I would have to be on guard for whatever world I ended up in, I could end up in some kind of apocalyptic hellscape for all I knew and would only have seconds to open another portal to try and escape.
Well, there was no time like the present.
I requipped a simple iron sword, slipping it onto my waist and getting ready to draw it at a moment's notice should I end up in some sort of perilous situation.
My only real concern was ending up in a more modern world that didn't take as kindly to my actions… That would be complicated and annoying to deal with.
I took a breath, right hand on my weapon as I lifted my left hand. I very slowly drew a straight, horizontal line across in front of myself, and it opened up into a glowing doorway, not showing any hint of the world I was going to.
"Welp…" I took a breath. "In for a penny!"
And with that, I bid Fairy Tail farewell for now as I dove into the unknown.

Far away, in a distant plane only reachable by few beings, sat a woman within a temple, reading a book without so much as a shred of emotion on her face.
The woman held an ethereal beauty, and a cold look of indifference. Her eyes were gold like a pair of glowing suns, shining softly and illuminating the dark area around her in the stillness of the night, allowing her to read the book without difficulty.
Her hair was short and messy, as if she hadn't bothered to brush it that morning. And yet it was not greasy or disgusting, instead looking soft and smooth, pleasant to the touch. A black dress covered her black dress covered her body, with a very large v neck that reached almost down to her stomach, allowing her modest breasts to be almost visible to any who would dare gaze upon them. The bottom of the dress had long slits up either side from the bottom to midway up the thighs, allowing almost anyone to gaze upon her lovely, smooth legs.
Draped over her shoulders was a cape, the hood down to allow her wonderful face to be shown, along with the rest of her figure. It was as if she did not care to cover herself, and why would she? Her body was a symbol of art, an image of perfection that all lithe women aspired to become.
One leg slowly lifted and crossed over the other as she got comfortable, before she abruptly snapped the book shut and cast her gaze outside the temple to gaze upon the night sky.
"… Someone has traversed through my domain," she said slowly as she rose up, setting the book on the table. "Their work is sloppy… And yet carefully measured, caring to not damage the fabric of space…"
The woman slowly lifted her hand…
Snap!
A wave of power rippled through the temple, seeping into the very fabric of space.
She slowly took her seat; her power having made sure the fabric of space would not be damaged by that person's dimensional travel. She picked up her book, flipping it open to the page she left it on, and starting to read.
Utterly apathetic to the world around her save where her domain was involved.
And now, something had caught her attention.
Irena, Goddess of Space and Dimensions, would keep her senses out for the person who would traverse to the realms beyond the three that made up this Universe that she watched over.
After all, it wasn't often that someone would catch her interest.
.
.
.
As soon as I stepped out of the glowing portal, I immediately drew my sword, spreading my senses in case of worst-case scenario…
Only for there to be nothing.
I blinked as the portal snapped shut behind me and cast my gaze around, finding that I was in what seemed like a mountain range. There were some trees here and there, but nothing close by. There was a forest I could spot in the distance.
"Okay…" I nodded slowly. "Not a hellscape or doomsday scenario, that's… A good start… Next, civilisation…"
No, wait. First things first was to determine if this world was abundant with mana. The more mana there was in the air, the more likely this world was one that was no stranger to the existence of magic.
I closed my eyes and spread my senses, feeling out the mana in the air…
It wasn't as much as Earthland, but it was still a very good amount. There was no way that people didn't know about magic in this world… There was also a decent chance that magic was weaker in this world, or it might be stronger but there were fewer magic users in general. There was no way to tell except to go into a town and find out from there. The magical energy was also a bit off, but I chalked it up to just being another world.
"Well then, no worries about using my magic then… Meteor!"
Light enveloped my body as I shot into the sky, casting my gaze around as I climbed into the air before I spotted a city in the distance… A very eastern style city, the kind you might except from old Japan or China.
That alone gave some hints as to the world that I was currently in, but better to not make assumptions.
I soared from up high, doing my best to suppress my powers and keeping an eye on my surroundings in case someone got the stupid idea to attack me or something.
And soon enough, I came to the gates of the city, many people entering and leaving without need for identification. I looked up and read the plaque atop the gates.
Glory City.
Glory City… That name sounded very… Familiar to me… I couldn't quite pinpoint where it was familiar from, but at the very least I was pretty sure I knew what this world was. I just needed more information for it to jog my memory.
I made my way into the city, hood over my head to help keep my identity hidden. Not that anyone would recognise me, but better to be safe than sorry. I made my way through town, looking for some form of pawn shop. I did rob the Tower of Heaven blind as we climbed, storing whatever I could spare time for into my Dimension. They'd fetch me a pretty penny in most worlds.
It took some time, but I was eventually able to find a shop that was willing to buy the gems I had. I was paid in… Demon Spirit Coins?
Damn it, that also sounded familiar to me. But still, I couldn't remember.
I shook my head and didn't think about it. I'd obtained 10,000 Demon Spirit Coins after selling five decent looking jewels. I wasn't sure if that was a good amount of money, but I'd deal with it. My next step was going to be the library to see what I could learn about this world.
I made my way into the library glancing around as I saw various people moving about. I walked down the halls of the library in the history section, grabbing as many books as possible before I headed to a table and took a seat.
I had a lot of reading to do.
