YuseiGo had been wounded.
Crow flitted about the D-Wheel in alarm as he eyed it critically. "So what happened?" It was resting against the side of a warehouse wall. There were dents on its right side, some paint had been scraped off, signs that it had fallen on its side with little forward motion. A strange injury to have certainly as fast as Yusei had been driving. He would have had to stop on a dime and just let the D-Wheel fall over.
The teen he saw near by the D-Wheel when he arrived hovered near by anxiously. "Um excuse me, are you friends with the Turbo Duel King? That's his ride after all.." The guy was dressed real nice and clean, and Crow had to wonder why he wasn't in school. Since the only people Crow ever saw about his age during school hours tended to be other unabsorbed into the system teens.
"Yeah, did you see what happened?" Crow asked as he worked on the D-Wheel's computer. He would need a laptop and hard wire in for details, but anything at that moment would help.
"Uh how do I know you're friends with him though? I can't just let a complete stranger steal his D-Wheel..." The teen asked nervously. It made Crow pause and look up at the guy more closely, it was a reasonable question after all. But before he could even begin to try to prove that he knew Yusei, which how would he even do that, Jack pulled up.
"Wait! The former Turbo Duel King, Atlas Jack?" The teen looked stunned before looking back at Crow with a little more trust.
"Crow! What have you learned!" Jack roared the moment Wheel of Fortune's own growl dulled.
"Dunno, this guy says he saw what happened," Crow answered with a jerk of the head towards the teen among them.
"Wow, Jack in person..." The teens' voice was one of pure awe before he looked between the pair. "I was riding with my friends, we saw the King drive by pretty fast and suddenly his D-Wheel just stopped. He went flying and my friends' car isn't big enough for four people given how Yusei landed. So I stayed behind to wait for someone to come and," with that the stranger gestured towards the D-Wheel.
"'How he landed'?" Jack demanded, while Crow began checking the back wheel.
"He went flying, sure his clothes are pretty tough. But he still hit the ground and rolled. We wanted to get him to the hospital as fast as possible, but stretching him out in the back seat meant someone would have to stay." The teen shrugged faintly as to say 'what can you do'?
"Why not call 119? Or an ambulance?" Crow asked as he ran his fingers down the wheel, trying to find something that would cause the tires to stop moving.
The teen, which he suddenly realized had yet to give his name, looked a bit embarrassed as he stood there.
"Its... a school day..." he ran an embarrassed hand through his hair as he shifted from foot to foot. But when he saw the clueless expression on the red heads' face he opted to elaborate. "Its illegal to just skip school. I'm not sick so I would get in trouble if someone caught me out like this. My friends are from out of town so its not so bad for them..."
"So he's at the hospital?" Jack demanded as he looked about, a white compass seeking the nearest hospital.
"Should be, you might actually catch him before he gets there if you go now," the teen answered urgently.
Which earned a distracted nod from Jack. "We'll go after them then, what does this car look like?"
"Oh a green beetle," the teen answered promptly as Jack returned to his D-Wheel.
"Mount up Crow we're going to go to Neo Domino," he ordered before Jack turned a distracted look at the stranger. "You wait here, I'll have someone come to deal with Yusei's D-Wheel shortly!" he barked for the teen who nodded obediently.
"Hey what's your name? Never did ask," Crow asked as he walked towards his own BlackBird.
"Yoshifumi, Isao," the teen answered politely with a bow. In the back they could hear Jack barking orders for some woman.
Crow nodded in answer before he suddenly remember and paused in his rush... "Jack! You go find that car, I'll wait here for Carly!"
"What? You're not going?" Jack demanded, offended that his orders were being ignored.
"I shouldn't, Yusei was also on a delivery run, I can't just leave YuseiGo here and risk someone find them and stealing it. I'll grab my laptop and do a proper scan to see what might have caused it to stop its forward motion. You go to the hospital," Crow walked to his Blackbird waving Jack away before he dug out the emergency laptop he carried.
Jack grumbled but nodded, pulling out while at the same time realizing he... hadn't ended his call with Misty. "I need to talk to Carly, stay if you want but this is important." He fairly announced as he began to scroll to Carly's number.
"Don't call her yet, you want to be careful about this," Misty ordered, causing Jack to hover his hand over Carly's name.
"What? Careful about what?" Jack demanded, his frown deepened as he glared at the road ahead, scanning for this green beetle.
"Is Yusei ok? I couldn't hear and you need to remember that Carly's cards are still in play. Is he in the good position or the bad one?" Misty asked, and the question got Jack's anger to suddenly turn to cold fear. Aki was still in play and so was Yusei, sure an accident was 'bad' but it wasn't extreme.
'How would Carly react to this? How do I ask her to pick up YuseiGo without tipping her off that he had a wreck? Getting the twins, getting 'Go, how can she not read this as part of her reading and react?' "Shit..."
Up above them, looking down from a distance while anxiously eyeing the patrolling Judge, was an angel.
'I can't get any closer from here... I got Crow to stay... but...' Frustration colored his thoughts, as he hid. 'But he's too close and he's tempering their thoughts, I doubt I've done enough to earn His support... Maybe... maybe the child. I can get an audience with the Ancient Fairy and she can talk to little Ruka right? If they can come here they will see Yusei's deck and learn the truth. Though that means I'm willingly putting children in danger...'
"Hey Isao, where you going?" Crow asked as he sat by 'Go and began running a quick diagnostic on it.
"Well, you have everything in hand, I thought I would see about catching a bus. Meet up with my friends and all," Isao explained with a slight shrug before confessing. "I'm not much help to you, I don't know anything about D-Wheel maintenance."
"Yeah, that's fair. Thanks for sticking around to keep the D-Wheel safe. Could you thank your friends for looking after Yusei for us?" Crow asked as a bleep began to register on the screen. Pulling his gaze down from the teens' silent acknowledgment and departure. 'The back wheel just stopped? How is that possible? Braking systems were not engaged at all, momentum was running smoothly, so how could the back wheel just decide to stop on a hair?'

"Woman!" Jack barked demanding over the phone lines, as Carly popped up on screen eternally behind her glasses.
"Yeah? Did you find Yusei or Aki?" She asked, her voice desperate, eager and with a heavy tone of expected disappointment.
'Don't make me appreciate calling Misty,' Jack thought in annoyance before shaking his head. "We're still looking, but the twins will be coming home alone with Yusei with us. Are you busy? Or can you pick them up for us? Yusei got a shock that might have upset Ruka through the Marks," He reported.
"Oh.. Sure, uh... let see... what time is it... Yeah I can grab them, let me just clean out the back of my car..." Carly tucked her head down as she fussed over something outside the shot of the communications system. "Did you have any plans for what you wanted for dinner?"

The world came back in a wave of pain.
His whole upper back felt a ghostly numbing sensation that spread through out his shoulders down his arms and to his fingers. It rolled down his back and through the rest of his body leaving him unable to move. Yusei found himself on his stomach his head turned towards the right, but that didn't matter much given the numbing sensation he felt. The ground was flat, gray and with warehouse and other industrial type buildings in the distance.
Groggy as he was Yusei tried to force his limbs to move only they were too heavy to pull up. In the distance he could hear a single set of footsteps approaching him. Through the fog of confusion Yusei could recall his D-Wheel's back wheel locking up. The shock of being flung over the front of his own ride. Coupled with the elation and alarm at seeing Aki in that black car with that visor thing covering her face.
Yusei knew he didn't crash. He also knew Aki could force a crash if she wanted to... and he saw her given a card. Where ever she was, she had to be back under mind control and if she couldn't hear his voice... But his mouth wasn't gagged, even now he could freely talk. If whoever had her knew he could break her free with his voice why not gag him?
The footsteps came to a stop close to his head, the soft creak of shoe leather coupled with the hiss of well made fabric. "Well, its been a while... an office overseeing a duel I believe..." The voice was distant, with that hollow tone that came from speaking over a phone.
But it was simply Divine.
Yusei struggled to pull his limbs up. Despising being seen on the ground helpless in any way in front of that man. He struggled to turn his head or look to the side to see whoever was by his head. But all he could see were a pair of deep green pressed slacks and a pair of brown leather dress shoes. On the one hand, things that Divine 'would' wear as Yusei recalled. 'Why would Divine call and speak over the phone to me if he's next to me? I suppose this guy is a proxy of sorts... So does that mean that Divine is somewhere here with Aki?'

Fairy lights danced about as the main means of illuminating the forest. It was day, reflective of the earth time for the partner of the Ancient Fairy Dragon herself. So while these pleasant dancing motes of light existed, they did nothing to increase the already present illumination.
"Who are you and what brings you here?" Regulus inquired as he stood before the gates to the inner sanctum of the his mistress. His deep voice rumbled in such a way as to send shudders through his blond mane, while his pale white fur still held a bit of shaggy length. Despite his time free from the cursed needle and the restoration of his ruler. Somethings didn't change.
"My name is 'Honest', I've come to petition aid from our ruler. It concerns the safety of one close to her partner, Little Ruka." Honest explained even as he dropped to bended knee while his mind ran over the checklist of things that needed doing. And wasn't being done fast enough.
"Little Ruka!" Regulus straightened up, his ears pricked forward and his tail began swaying dangerously. "I know you are not one of us. Nor are you in any deck that belongs to one of the Signers or Little Ruka's friends. What danger could you possibly know about?" the great lion imperiously demanded.
"Its true I don't know her. However; Divines' agents have separated Yusei from his deck, the enemies presence keeps me from getting directly involved as well. The only person who can see us Spirits that is left to the other dragons is Little Ruka." Honest replied, his voice heavy with the weighted sense of urgency that now drummed at the back of his mind.
"Divine! Is that monster back yet again?!" Regulus replied in anger, his mane even seemed to grow in size making the horned lion look even more imposing.
"Regulus?" Ancient Fairy's concerned voice could be heard from deep within her wooded grove. The gentle glow of her presence began to fade into view as Regulus turned his hindquarters to allow for Ancient Fairy Dragon to join the conversation. Slithering into view with her wings fluttering lightly over the air, Ancient Fairy began arching herself so she could look down at the pair.
"Your Majesty," Honest had yet to rise though Regular joined him on bended knee though with only his front limb.
"Why did I hear of that name? Divine?"
"This fairy claims that Divine has returned from the human prison he was put in," Regulus explained before putting himself in a protective, but to the side position of the Ancient Fairy.
"I'm afraid that Divine never left, though you're right, he was put in jail for his crimes. He did not work alone and had his spy in the school. It is because of them that I have come entreating your aid Majesty! They have captured the leader of the Signer dragons, and hold once more the Black Rose under their sway! If we do not move fast the Black Rose will forever be lost to her madness and he will die!" Honest answered in a barely contained rush.
Ear fins flared up full at the news, Ancient Fairy shook her head in disbelief. "What is your proposed suggestion then?"
"Little Ruka must go to where their Leaders' D-Wheel was found. Even now Divines' servants have caused one of the dragons to leave uselessly for the hospital, the other I barely could sway into staying around. But they need to know that their Leaders' deck was stripped and tossed aside, she needs to find his deck."
"If you know of them, why do you keep calling him 'Leader'? Do you not know the Signers directly?" Regulus asked, worry coloring his tone torn as he was to rush to protect Ruka from Divine. Yet unwilling to put Ancient Fairy in danger or waste her time if this was an act against the Dragon, 'especially' given the strain that such summons put on the little girl.
"I don't know it. When Divine installed his agent into the school Little Ruka did not attend. But now the agent is gone and the reason I was forced to flee with it. Which is how I even ever saw the child. Please, I speak the truth!" Honest answered obediently, yet his urgency was still the underpinning tone.
"Rise Honest," Ancient Fairy finally spoke. 'It would not be too much to go and see her, I know the Mark flared up. The Crimson Dragons' power had been evoked and Ruka will need reassurance beyond just her twin I suspect...' She thought to herself.
With that Ancient Fairy turned to give Regulus her full attention, "I will go speak to Little Ruka, you will go with Honest here. Let him take you to where the D-Wheel rests. I will send Kuribon in my place, and let the little one guide Little Ruka to you."
"As you wish Your Majesty," Regulus replied solemnly, as he took a few steps forward so that he was closer to Honest. "You, Honest, show me where this event took place. And speak more of what transpired, you have not been around for a while and I would know as to why."
Ancient Fairy watched the pair leave fading out to return to the humans' world, while she turned her head towards the sky. 'Little Kuribon, friend of my dear Ruka, come to me. Our precious human needs us...'
"Kurrriiiiiiii!" A distant voice purred...

"Where's Big Brother?" Ruka asked as she clung to her arm.
