Lights from businesses dimmed out from the business sector, while the lights from the entertainment centers and further out into apartments started to glow. Faces in other vehicles became obscured by shadows, while Kuribon became more optimistic in her kurrs. On the left and right there were squatter, more rough buildings with fences and long shadows all about. Carly drove through the warehouse district with her eyes scanning straight ahead with laser intense focus.

The chill in the air forced its way into the small yellow bug and Carly flipped on the heat as she drove.

"Its not far now, we're in the right area we just have to get to Regulus," Ruka perked up as she moved to the window and gazed anxiously outside. Her eyes straining for that noble, pale lion, 'once I reach him, I can send him off to help the fairies. He'll help us, he has to!'

"I wish I could see Duel Spirits," Rua sulked, his nose pressed uselessly against the other window.

"You will when Aki comes back to us!" Carly answered with forced cheer and enthusiasm. "When she comes back we'll be able to see our Spirits!"

"Yeah!" Rua replied, despite the anxiety he felt. It was dark outside and it felt like the shadows were looming out towards them..

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Crow \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

The warehouse district of Neo Domino was as cookie cutter as they came, even if he didn't spend a great deal 'there'. Crow could tell what could be considered 'standard building designs' from just what he had seen so far. The warehouses had large multi-floor buildings wide, squat styles and fairly modest fencing. Chain link mostly served as a continual wall that Crow could easily see through. The roads were lit by street lamps and walls of buildings were lit around the doors with security door lights.

Realistically there was bound to be security guards in some of the buildings. Their routine would also probably have them step outside from time to time to check the exterior as well. So when he could see in the distance a large stone wall with only the shadow of scaffolding rising up from behind it. The out of place, abnormality of it sent up red flags causing him to slow down. Lightly breaking on his ride, he dipped off into a side road, unable to find a suitable alleyway to hide the BlackBird. As such he was forced to park on the side of the road in the semi darkness between two pools of light from the streetlamps.

He jogged back down towards the main road striving to keep his steps as quiet as possible. While keeping his ears peeled at the same time for the sound that was lost to the rumble of BlackBirds' engine. The sound of battle, the types of sounds he associated with dueling. With a weight to the blows that were intentionally absent from the actual holographic systems. Cited as 'health concerns' by KaibaCorp.

Old habits resurfaced as he pulled at his headband, drawing some of the wide cloth back so it brought down his wild vivid hair. The time for stealth and secrecy meant there was no time to show off the shock of red hair he had. He angled himself around the lights as he approached the side of the corner warehouse.

In the distance he could see armed guards both standing and mounted on what could have been standard motorcycles or D-Wheels, before a closed gate. The slung down guns that were very out of place for Japan was a red flag to Crow. Even if it was some foreign owned warehouse the idea that they would allowed such guards. Metal groaning, Crow watched as several metal beams blackened in the darkness snapped over with the quickness of a gut punch. Causing Crow to grimace as he recalled the Earthbound Gods, the very real power they possessed.

That Aki herself apparently possessed...

The ice in his core ignited fire in his veins as Crow turned sprinting back to the BlackBird. The only thing on his mind was calling Jack and reaching Yusei's Duel Disc. Sweating wasn't something Crow easily did given his dress style normally. Yet at that moment the pressure that he felt was mounting. The chill ocean air kept his skin cool even as the mounting panic burned his nerves. Before him could see the faint outlines of his ride waiting patiently for him. All the while his mind ran over the list of things he 'needed' to do.

"Jack!" Crow called out even as he tore into the storage compartment of his BlackBird.

"What is it?" Jacks' voice was a mixture of concern and curiosity, more so than normal given that Crow wasn't in the shot.

"I'm turning on the location beacon on both the BlackBird and on Yusei's Duel Disk," Crow instructed, even as he was flipping on those beacons. "He's here and it sounds like..."

"The entrance to the Underworld is on the Witches' Island."

The statement rang out over the air from speakers near by and possibly at the walled warehouse. Words that meant nothing to Crow himself, yet it served as a prelude to a sudden quake that kept him from commenting further to Jack.

As the ground below him shook with a muted force, not the raw power of an earthquake. But it was there, physical and alarming as explosions, blaring out over the air. "The beacon will bring you to BlackBird, but I'm sure you can find us," Crow began when Jack cut him off.

"No, take the BlackBird with you!" Jack ordered, as Crow began to retort the blond shook his head. "No, Fortune is not designed to carry anyone in any circumstance. If Yusei needs to get to the hospital he'll need your BlackBird. There won't be time for you to go rushing back for it," Jack explained. Adding an angry, "I'll be there shortly..."

"Yeah well these guys are armed," Crow began before shaking his head. Muttering to himself "maybe I have something on me... Jack just go straight ahead, you'll know when you get there, its going to be obvious."

Hovering behind Crow, Honest watched as thorn protruding roots rose into the air. Writhing tentacles, their blackness stark against the neon lights of the city that kept the sky from ever becoming 'truly' dark. While all about him the flock of Crow's own deck seemed to finally notice his presence.

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Yusei \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

"The entrance to the Underworld is on the Witches' Island."

Breathing was a fiery agony, the only thing he needed was to breath smoke and Yusei was set. Scattered about him were the cards they had given him for this farce of a duel. While his pulse beat loudly in his head drowning out most of the world. But the smirk he carried was one of victory, finally able to figure out what Divine had done. The Witch was activated and Yuseis' methods of freeing Aki were being blocked.

This whole stabbing, fake body farce that Yusei had been put through. Just an attempt at keeping Yusei from finding and freeing Aki. While in the back of his mind, whispered amid the hitching of breaths that even with the gear alone Aki was no longer blindly obedient. If ever there was a sign of just how much of a monkey wrench Yusei could be in someone's plans... It was this.

It made all the fire in his lungs, the fractures in his bones, the blood he could taste on his tongue all worth it. There was a savage delight in seeing the extremes that Divine had to go through to deal with Yusei. Raw pain in response to a threat, a feeling he hadn't felt since he got the Mark on his face. Knowing that Divine hated him so much that he would go through such a convoluted scheme to get to Yusei. Forced to use a VR headset modified to keep Aki from seeing Yusei.

It was pretty satisfying.

Would Black Rose Dragon kill? It was a question he was unsure about, Aki had been pushed that far once before. Back then she was more Witch than Aki, in a state of grief and just awaken from a coma. Clearly she couldn't right now, what other reason would there be for Divine to use the trigger phrase? Were it Witch of the Black Rose or any of the other Spirits that Aki dueled with, Yusei was confident that she couldn't. They were here and active, while they would be willing to bring down his LP for the computer. They weren't going to go for a killing strike.

Black Rose Dragon was the wild card. With her mental instability making it difficult to gauge how she would react once she was summoned. Because Rose 'would' get summoned, Aki had no reason to hold back now that the phrase had been spoken and it was just a matter of time.

Through the haze of pain, he could see Aki's spirits looking about the area. The movements were too precise to be anything less than other spirits. It could be anyone's deck, be it Jack, Crow, or worriedly the twins. Silent signs that the spirits saw help coming and pining for it to arrive faster.

"Chilling flames engulf the entire world," Aki recited the chant she used to call forth her Dragon, while the Spirits on her side froze in a panic, looking about frantically as several were sent away. "Pitch-dark flower, set into bloom! Syncro Summon, come forth Black Rose Dragon!"

Behind Aki, large roots erupted up from the ground, branches of sharp thorns followed suit as a massive blood red bloom burst upwards from the ground. The petals twisted about to the point as a slumbering plant, while the hindlegs of the dragon stood up from below the ground. Standing up the petals untwisted and began to bloom open. Revealing the near black body of the dragon, her wild red eyes sweeping the field. Petals, now served as wings, were opened and mantled, for all the world to know she had arrived.

The viper wedged shaped head of the dragon swayed slowly as she lowered her head to see what stood before Aki. Resting itself next to Aki's head, her mad gaze fixed itself on Yusei.

"Can you take that headset off Aki?" Yusei asked, his voice not as strong as he would have liked given his injuries. 'Can Black Rose hear me? Though even if she can, is she mentally sound enough to do as asked?' He wondered wearily.

The lull of violence as Aki had stopped attacking allowed the area to be enveloped in a tense silence. Already lacking natural wildlife due to the area, there only the occasional groan from an accosted metal beam to make its presence known. Only the soft creak of the plant stem style body of the Black Rose Dragon could be heard.

Then it was shattered as a series of blasts erupted outside the walls of the area. Sharp booms that didn't sound like any gun that Yusei had heard before. The squeal of tires joined the blasts and Yusei took heart at realizes that the guys had found him. Even Aki was able to take notice of the sound, distracted into looking away.

Around his ankles Yusei felt thin roots began to climb up his feet and along his knees as they grew towards the shackles on his ankles. They slithered between his ankles and the metal, while a flash of light caught Yusei's attention. Pulling it back to the wall, and the rapid flashes of light that didn't sit right with him. Too bright to be guns, and it was illegal in Japan anyway, so was it another weapon? Duel Spirits?

While on the other side of the dueling field, Aki stood disinterested further with what was happening beyond the walls. Returning her attention to what was before her, once perfect lady like posture was now swaying. A willow tree caught in a breeze or a viper finding a target, she was once more under Divine's control.

Despite that, Yusei found himself content with the situation, the roots were pressing harder against the shackles. One of his friends were working to get inside and if one was here the other would be here soon enough. 'I can certainly endure a few blows from Black Rose to give you time to get in. So hurry up guys.'

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Crow \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

'How did I forget I had these babies with me?' he wondered as he pulled another pin off one of his little birds. Flinging the grenade behind him towards the riders who didn't seem to like how close Crow got to the warehouse.

"How are they even exploding?" Honest asked, uselessly into the air. He flew far above Crow, observing the teens' hand movements before creating his little 'illusion'. But that's all it was, an illusion of grenades, illusions that had no physical effect on the robots chasing Crow. 'Yusuke isn't here, I can't make things happen in the real world the way Aki is...' he thought, his eyes straying towards the warehouse grounds.

Black feathers floated on the non existent wind as Crows' own Duel Spirits flew about. Ever inquisitive they called out to each other and to the Spirits below. While the bent metal, shattered concrete, that one young woman caused on her own warned of her terrifying raw power. 'She could probably have rescued Yusuke. Or at least drag him away back to his friends, if only I had been more patient...' he thought as regret and shame brought the past back into focus. Reminding him of how Jounouchi died helping him, how Fubuki had lost years of his life and was a prisoner in his own body. All because they tried to help Yusuke.

'I shouldn't need their help, I should be strong enough to help Yusuke! Why else would he pick me? Yet all I've done is his hurt his friends and good people...' Only he wasn't, when he was crafted on someone's drawing board the stats they gave him were only middling. He was no great Blue Eyed Dragon, or talented Magician, only a pitiful fairy in the guise of a mighty Angel.

As he flew over the back wall a spot of vivid red caught his eyes. Suddenly his stomach dropped as alarm and disbelief filled him, made stronger as he saw the person... no that GOD; standing on the wall turn to look up at him. As though the thoughts in Honests' head were open to observation.

But it also gave Honest a possibility on just 'how' those hypnotized illusions could have a real world effect.

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Yugi \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Taking the shapes that Honest generated in the mind of Crow, Yugi created them, a frown on his face as Kuriboh faded into view. "Hello my friend," Yugi answered the arrival by opening his arms and welcoming the bundle in for a hug. "Kuriboh? Do you know the difference between a Saint, a Martyr and a Fool?" Yugi shook his head in disappointment.

"Kurr?" the once upon a time child asked, purring as it got comfortable.

"A Saint selflessly gives of themselves to others, comfort in times of need and leadership when the masses are in disarray. A Martyr throws their life away on the hill of a particular cause. Which only has an effect if they have anyone who follows them. A Fool is naive and can be walk right off a cliff if they don't pay attention. But a naive death does not a Martyr make." Yugi replied as motes of light began to materialize in the area.

"Kuurrrrr kurr kuuurrr?"

"The robots? Those are from a Fool who thinks he's a Martyr." Yugi answered as Stardust Dragon suddenly rose from the dark ground below. Wings spread wide as though he had been soaring high above at a great distance.

Cackling could be heard from where Yugi stood, madness induced by wickedness channeled into a young woman. Stardust Dragon settled next to Black Rose Dragon, both had their wings mantled, and their anger was fairly visible to Yugi. In that moment he could recall what they used to look like 5,000 years ago. Before madness claimed Moon Rose. Her pure white petals, edged with the softest shades of celestial colors and deep blue body.

"Black Rose Dragon, Stardust Dragon, I order you to strike down my enemies!"

Yugi smirked at the command the old saying coming back to mind. 'Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.'
