CHAPTER 14

The meeting with the league went on as normal, except that this time there was uneasiness in some of the members, for the second Batman officially closed the meeting, he was almost buried by questions.

''Silence.'' He growled, and amazingly enough, was obeyed at the first request. ''One at a time.''

''Is it true about the Robins?'' Barry was the first to ask. ''That Robins are coming from other lands?''

''Yes. Just before the meeting started, the fourth Robin arrived.'' Canary replied.

''I am making the reports on this and will deliver it to the league after the last Robin arrives.'' Batman complemented.

''What are they like?'' ''Will more arrive?'' Oliver and Hall asked one after the other.

''They are completely different from each other. And yes, there will be more coming.'' Batman replied.

''I thought you knew about this?'' Wonder Woman asked Hal.

''I just heard that there were other Robins coming, but I thought there would be one or two, there have already been four!''

''Robin is one of the heroes that are a constant in the multiverse Hal, you are a Green Lantern Hal, you know that.'' John, the other Green Lantern, replied.

''Of course I know, but can you blame me for not thinking he would have so many Robins?'' He points to the bat.

''He's right.'' Hawkwoman agreed, leaning back in her chair.

''Anything we need to know about them?'' J'onn asked this time.

''Many things, that's why the reports.'' Batman replied, getting even more serious.

''Bru... Batman, they need to know some things. We didn't stay in a meeting with Jason and Spoiler for almost half an hour for nothing.'' Superman looked at his friend with concern.

Bruce nodded, but said nothing.

He didn't trust himself to speak much.

''I think we'd better sit down, it's a long story.'' Diana is the one who answers, much to the bat's relief, she sits down and waits for the rest to do the same.

''So this Ibin guy is your Batman.'' Robin exclaims, leaning forward. ''And he was a Robin too.''

''Yeah, we'll probably meet another version of him.'' Spoiler smiled quietly. No matter how old he was, Dick Grayson was always a ray of sunshine...she missed that.

''I don't understand you not letting us know your name, but giving his.'' Superboy frowns when she says that.

''Oh, that's one of his names, he has two actually and he doesn't use that one, that's why I used it with you guys.'' She waved her hand.

''And what else?'' Wally practically jumped in his seat on the couch.

Steph's expression fell, ''My world isn't one of the best Wally, I told you, we'd better stop here. I became Robin after Ibin became Batman when our world was...attacked. That's what you need to know.''

''It's okay, we understand.'' Kaldur nodded, placing his hand on her shoulder.

Robin looked between the other Robins. Counting him there were already five, how many more would come?

''Well, what now?'' BJ asked.

''I guess we go to sleep?'' Robin asked uncertain. ''Batman hasn't given us a mission since you guys started coming, so there's not much for us to do.''

''Is it night already?'' Jason asked.

''Yeah, the day went fast.'' Robin agreed.

''And I bet you haven't been back to the cave since this started either?'' BJ deduced.

''Somebody bring a boy for that award.'' Jason smiled, only to be perplexed the next minute.

''What?'' BJ asked with a grimace.

The team didn't look much different.

Don't you guys talk about it here? Oh you guys are boring. It's an ironic joke, instead of saying bring this kid a award, we invert the phrase when we want to be ironic! Jason crossed his arms.

''I think we'd better go to sleep anyway Jay.'' Spoiler smiled and shook his head before looking at the team. ''Where are the rooms?''
