Wind didn't stir in this forest, leaving the words to fall to the ground. Tumbling over leather and rolling in the grass as dice in a game without rules. Several various versions of Yugi lounged about the rivers' edge with him. Various races, either genders, yet they all shared the same variations of the word 'Game'. They sat with various expressions, some interested, some resigned...
"That's when the past began to repeat itself. Aki is a smart girl and she caught on quickly as to what happened. So that was when she began screaming..."

The wail of anguish seemed to go farther than the normal human voice could project. Aided as it was by the hurricane gale force winds that Black Rose Dragon suddenly whipped up. Picking up Jack and flinging him backwards along with his elaborate Wheel of Fortune with contemptuous ease. Sending the duelist spinning with his ride while a roar of outrage mixed with panic was cut short. The expected swearing and outrage ended with him crashing as the D-Wheel was flung into a not so near by wall.
Meanwhile; the Blackbirds' own 'wings' were quickly utilized to try and retain some stability as Crow flattened himself against the more typical shaped D-Wheel. It was hopeless to press forward, the winds were stronger than anything he had faced before. While that which stood before him?
The Dragon's head was thrown back her wings beating at the air, with each petal joined in the force of building up torrents of wind. Her vines cracked in the air, with the type of explosive force that one couldn't help, but look, for the tsunami or typhoon to land right then and there.
Stardust was visible, his wings open and visibly straining. The effort to close in at the force of the winds evident as he tried to lean in and deal with the source of the storm. Yet even he couldn't reach despite his card stating that he was physical a stronger dragon than Black Rose. While the specks of stardust that glowed about him gave light to what had driven Black Rose into her new fury.
Aki was on her knees, her mouth wide open and if she was screaming, wailing or just mute at this point it was impossible to hear. Clutched in her arms was Yusei on his knees as though his legs could carry him no further. All the while the metal scaffolding was bending and snapping. Granted this madness was enough to send away the robot 'guards' that Crow had been dealing with. One piece of broken scaffolding was launched straight through several of them.
Sparks rising from broken robotic bodies, behind him, sparks and darkness whipped up in front of him. If not for his helmet, Crow was fairly sure that he wouldn't have been able to see in the harsh winds. 'You didn't tell her you liked it rough did you Yusei? Damn idiot...' Crow thought in a passing thought as he turned to check on Jack.
Not that being thrown from his ride was going to put Jack down easily. The former gang member was already pushing himself to his feet, his helmet cracked in the front screen. But he was up and standing as the roots churned the ground outwards from the epicenter of Black Rose. The grinding of concrete sounded eerily close to chewing on hard candy or snapping bones.
'How do we even get to Yusei? All kidding aside if he needs medical attention...' Crow thought as he struggled to find some type of clear path for his D-Wheel. The ground was seething under Black Roses' power while the air was cluttered with flying debris. "Aki? Aki can you hear us?" Crow called out in desperation.
It was reasonable to expect the Marks to react to the situation, if Yusei 'was' in serious danger wasn't it? But Jack wasn't complaining about the Marks, and in passing Crow wondered if the Marks were meant for only global threats... 'Must ask Jack if he knows anything about these Marks...' Crow thought as light bounced sporadically off a sliver of metal that caught his eye. Turning his head he could see a car, Carly's in fact, parking and the headlights shutting off.
'Damn it, wait aren't the twins with her? Now we're gambling...' Crow thought as he realized that it might have been just as good or bad that the twins were here.

"Kids, I think I should take you away from this..." Carly commented feeling awkwardly bad. Her own need for investigating had finally bitten her right in the ass, with the twins managing to convince her into coming here. 'How bad could it be?' she repeated in the remembered voice of Rua not half an hour ago.
Well the headlights had revealed the cement brick walls that surrounded this site. But reaching easily above the walls was a pair of dragons. Yusei's Stardust Dragon and Aki's Black Rose Dragon, which took Carly aback at least when it came to Stardust. Since they had Yusei's decks, both riding and standing, with his side deck as well. How could Stardust manifest there?
"Ok, so how many Stardust dragon cards 'are' there?" She called back to the small girl as they watched more than just the towering dragons. But also the trembling metal beams, the bits of rock and began to cower at the sound. Even if they weren't outside, the howling winds were audible to them, the low moan of the wind, as it the poor little bug bucked helplessly. Between shuddering and a low rumble that could have been Black Rose or an earthquake, the trio of people in the car cowered in the darkness.
Even if two of them were supposed to be protectors of the world from the Earthbound Gods. They were still kids and Carly was just a reporter.
Ruka didn't appear to notice that she was being spoken to, with the way she looked out of the windows, her face pale and anxious. For everyone else it was just what was already happening, but she could see lesser the spirits. Saw them straining against the winds being whipped up already. Sure the moans and rattling and rocking were intimidating. But seeing Duel Spirits strain against the same wind was unreal.
"Ruka?" Rua nudged his sister, snapping her back to the present and to look over at her twin.
"How come Stardust is over there? Shouldn't we have Yuseis' decks here with us?" The boy repeated holding up the two cases that held Yusei's Riding and Standing duel decks. While Ruka carried his side deck; the one that was supposed to 'have' Stardust Dragon inside.
"Well, we know that Big Brother gave Black Rose Witch a card..." Ruka pointed out before adding. "Remember? Back in Lord Kaiba's office?"
She exchanged looks with Rua and both mutually shuddered at the imposing memory of facing 'the' Lord Kaiba. Meeting Lord Yugi had been amazing, but that memory was less comforting given everything they experienced and learned 'after' that elevator ride.
"Oh... oh yeah..."
"He sent Stardust to Aki?" Carly asked, with forced cheer. As though she was, and she really 'was', trying to stay optimistic. 'But Black Rose shouldn't be acting like this... right? This isn't typical... right?'
There was a soft click that somehow managed to make its way past the howling wind, as Ruka began trying to 'get out of the car'!? "Little Ruka!" Carly called out in alarm as she saw the little bug antenna hair style face the door.
"We need to go out there, the Spirits need someone to speak for them!" Ruka grunted with dogged determination. The door clicked open yet her young body lacked the strength to overcome the winds being generated by Black Rose Dragon. While the Fairies that worked with Carly had returned to the car, their small forms united in forming a shield that was protecting the car from the flying damage.
A display of 'good luck' that, despite so much flying debris, made sure nothing was breaking the windshield or the car in general. Yet it was also clear that it was the extent of the fairies power, and how long that power was going to last... Ruka couldn't say. It wasn't enough to let her push open the door that was for sure! Rua even helped, as hard as it was to squish themselves into position. The young girl frowned for a moment before glancing once more at the fairies in front of the car.
"Right," she muttered to herself, before straightening up. "Please Ancient Fairy! Help us, lend Carly's Fairies your strength!" She pleaded into the air, earning a worried 'Sis' from Rua.
But her plea was answered, as a soft azure light enveloped the car, sheltering it from the intensity of the wind storm. Thus allowing the fairies that had been shielding the car blessed respite, as the set of them was able to right themselves and physically relax their flight postures. The pressure against the door was finally relieved allowing the twins to climb out of the vehicle. Revealing Ancient Fairy Dragon in all her glory above the car. Her slender body coiled about inside her protective bubble while facing the pair of dragons beyond the wall.
Off in the distance, spotlights began dancing through the air, moving in sweeping gestures that called to mind helicopters. 'And why wouldn't they?' Carly thought as she caught sight of them. 'Aki is literally tearing buildings apart with Black Rose. What are we supposed to do?' Panic began to set in as she tried to imagine what they could 'possibly' say to this. Even Kaiba couldn't hide 'this', there was too... there was... a gas explosion... 'Yeah, he could easily just redirect this as a gas explosion or something... but how do we get his help?' She pondered.
"Ms. Carly what are you..." Rua asked, turning to follow her gaze and frown. "Why are there helicopters coming? No wait I can imagine why..."
"If we could reach Lord Kaiba he could do something..." Carly pointed out before blinking. 'Is this shield even blocking...' yet when she listened harder she realized that it 'was'! Ancient Fairy was actually dulling the sound of the winds! It was enough to make get out of her her car and look up in admiration of the dragon hovering over her.
"What do you have in mind child? While getting Kaiba might not be reasonable at this point... There 'is' one last avenue left open to you," Ancient Fairy asked, watching the surprise fill Carly's face, such innocent awe that it made her chuckle softly.
"Um, well, he can change records right? So why not make the report be about a gas explosion instead of well... Aki going ummm..." Carly tilted her head to the side as though to indicate Black Rose.
"Ahh, well..." Ancient Fairy responded before looking up into the air. "Fairy I know you are still here, come before my presence..."
The trio of humans were greeted with an angel descending from the heavens, his wavy long hair hallowed his face. His wings spread wide as he strained to approach into the windstorm that Black Rose...
'I suppose that is the limit of his strength,' Ancient Fairy mused to herself, but there was nothing left for it. Little Ruka was being taxed enough as it was, and Ancient Fairy was not willing to press harder than she already was being forced to. "There are people in those machines, compel them to see something else. So that we will be uninterrupted in our efforts."
"I shall do my best," Honest replied, trepidation filling his heart. The helicopters were distant enough that there was an uncertainty that he could even use his power on them. But if they got close enough to take pictures... The conflicting story would unravel his efforts.
And yet...
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Jack \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
'Damn that hurt... What does Yusei get out of this...' Jack internally growled as he ducked a beam. His right side ached from the rough landing, but any landing you could walk away from...
The Marks weren't reacting, but as he had been told, they wouldn't always react. If there was danger to civilians then yes, the Marks would have been on fire. So no civilians were in danger, but the Marks reacted when Aki was nearly killed... why not now? Jack then started internally cursing being flung around as he recalled that her classmates had been with her. More over this wasn't the time to be pondering how the Marks even worked.
He could see Crow struggling, but the redhead looked as foolish as a crow trying to fight a tornado. Jack began pushing through the winds, his eyes not on Crow, rather on Stardust while he wondered. Just 'how' much closer would he need to be for the dragon to hear them. Howling mad winds were whipping by his helmet, the ground churned dangerously under foot. Stomping on ground like this felt guaranteed to end up with his legs buried to his knees.
Behind him sky blue light blossomed bringing to mind Ruka and the confirmation that the twins had arrived. 'Get moving Jack, we need to get Stardust to notice us before Ruka decides she needs to pull her own weight.' He thought to himself, 'Stardust can use Sanctuary to get Black Rose off the field but we need him to notice us!'
Determination to see to the others pushed Jack forward towards' Crow. Each step a fight for purchase as he moved against Black Rose's madness induced rage. While a small spur of envy dug its way into the back of his mind. This display of raw power that was Aki's and Aki's alone. If he had it, he could have ArchFiend out and deal with this directly. Instead he was forced to scuttle about the ground like some lowly insect.
That's when he saw Aki and suddenly he felt like an ass all over again. Concerned about how he appeared trying to get to the pair while she was in shock. Mouth open in a scream that probably was silent by now, she held Yusei as though he was a life raft and she was in threat of drowning in the vast ocean. Despite the clutter in the air he could see the absolute despair in her eyes, her face frozen in a state of grief.
'But is she seeing the world around her?' he was forced to ponder as his legs finally got him to Crow. Strategy demanded that Crow was important to reach, his D-Wheel was clearly still operational and could carry a passenger. If Yusei was 'that' hurt, Crow would be their best bet on getting Yusei to the hospital now. Even if it meant tearing the guy out of Aki's arms, which Jack didn't want to do.
"Jack?!" Crow called out, as Jack began pulling Crow along, but it wasn't so much a question as a surprise.
The pair fought for every step they could grab, Jacks' size gave him more ground to step on, where Crow floundered. Allowing Jack to pull Crow along as they struggled through the wind. "We need to get this dealt with before Little Ruka tries to help!" Jack shouted, letting the wind whip his words right to Crow as the smaller duelist began using Jack as a windshield.
"Can't Stardust do anything?" Crow asked as they strained, a shard of metal ripped into the sleeve of Jack's riding suit.
"He's probably trying! Need to get him to realize we're here though!" Jack called out, as much as he wanted to keep talking. His helmet didn't cover his mouth and dirt was already striking him, which while bad enough. Jack didn't need to swallow metal.
It was formidable though. Black Rose was lashing out, her roots were shot straight into the air whipping back and forth, the ground churning under her power. Her petal style wings were buffeting the winds to the point that if it wasn't for Jack, Crow wouldn't be able to get this far. Yet for all that wind, it couldn't faze Stardusts own motes of light. Those hung in the air in much the same way as stars in the sky or ornaments on a tree. Solid, stable and a sign that if nothing else there was 'someone' who could deal with Black Rose.
A calm titan to deal with a mad one.
If they could only get his attention.
Then they could deal with Aki.
