CHAPTER 16.
''You've got to be kidding me.'' Spoiler stood up with a smile.
''Do you know him?'' Batman asked.
''He is the third Robin, the Robin before me.'' She turned to M'gann. 'Would you prepare some strong coffee, please? He'll need it more than any of us.''
Bruce frowned at that. Canary muttered something like birds and therapy. Something Bruce himself was beginning to think about.
''Uh sure?'' She turned and began to prepare the coffee.
Spoiler moved before the rest, walking quietly to the couch. Jason and BJ stood up on their chairs to get a better look, the team standing as well, and before everyone knew it, they were close to the couch.
The boy also had black hair and light skin, although he was noticeably less muscular than Jason or BJ. Maybe fourteen or fifteen.
Spoiler was visibly fighting a smile when he touches the younger Robin's shoulder and shakes him.
''Tim.'' She whispers, low enough for only Superboy to hear. The boy groans and settles even more on the couch.
''Timmy...''
"Get out!'' He grumbled, ''It's too early Kon.''
Spoiler rolled her eyes under the mask, not that anyone could see that. But everyone was kind of curious.
"Wake up Robin!'' She shakes him harder, almost knocking him off the couch.
''Kon-El I have Kryptonite and you won't like it where...'' He sits up, interrupting himself in mid-speech when he sees the people around him. He looks at Spoiler and the lenses of his mask shrink. ''Stephanie what is this?''
''Stephanie?'' Artemis smiles.
''And there goes my secret identity, thank you Tim, you are a great ex-boyfriend.''
''As far as I know we're still together, so I'm not your ex yet.'' He stands up and stretches his arms, stifling a yawn. ''Please tell me I'm not hallucinating, where am I? Future? Past? It's too early for that, I need coffee.''
M'gann hands him a cup of coffee and he stares at it and stares at the people around him, all unresponsive, (even Batman, though no one but the Robins see this) as he sips his coffee, his attention now fully focused on the other Robins, Jason in particular.
Half of the cup taken in one gulp, Dick can't help but be surprised by this.
The newcomer, Tim, turns to Spoiler, now Stephanie. ''This isn't the future, is it?''
''And that's why you're the genius among all the Robins. No, we're in an alternate dimension, Wing can explain the details to you.'' She points to Dick, who nods.
Tim nods back and looks at the team. ''Hi, I'm Tim and to be clear, I'm not fully awake yet, so sorry if I ignore anyone, or maybe I'm hallucinating and my team finally interrupts me for talking to myself...'' He muttered the last part. He looks at Superboy. ''Where's the jacket? You carry it around like a security blanket.''
Conner frowns and looks at his clothes before looking at Tim. ''Jacket?
"How long have you been awake? Steph looks at him startled.
Batman pirouettes, drawing attention to him. "Team, monitor room, you leave for mission in fifteen minutes. He looks at Tim. ''We'll talk later, I'll leave you with the other Robins for now.''
Everyone nodded, even Tim, who was visibly struggling to wake up fully as he mumbled to himself.
The team introduced themselves and left behind the bat.
Spoiler asked Bruce for five minutes, and from what little he knew of the girl, he knew she would be needed here so he allowed it, on the condition that he meet the team in five minutes and no more.
Canary sat on the couch next to where Tim appeared and Tim sat where he was lying before, Dick beside him. Carrie, BJ and Jason sat on the third couch.
''Well you met my team, I am the resident Robin of this world.''
''Dick.'' Tim exclaimed, recognizing him.
Dick brought his hand to the back of his head. ''Yes, but keep my name a secret please, the team can't know yet.''
''Order of the B, isn't it?''
Dick nods and Tim lifts his shoulders finishing his coffee.
''Well, this is BJ, Carrie, Jason and I think you know Spoiler.'' Dick starts again as the other teenager goes quiet.
Tim shudders at this and looks at the blonde. ''Sorry.''
''It's okay, they were going to find out at some point.''
Tim nods and looks at Jason, a little afraid and relieved at the same time. ''You're okay.''
Jason looks surprised, but nods.
''Good, that's good.''
Steph frowns and asks in Portuguese, knowing that the younger boy knew the language. ''Você já se encontrou com o Capuz?'' ''You've already met with the Hood, haven't you?'
Tim nods. ''Não foi muito bom. Mas eu sei que Robin não vai me machucar.'' ''It wasn't very good. But I know Robin won't hurt me.''
Canary and the others look at each other, Portuguese was a language none of them had learned, well Dick was starting to learn, but this was too fast even for him to understand.
''Se ajuda, ele melhora, volta a ser um herói, mais ou menos, e se torna um irmão.'' ''If it helps, he gets better, becomes a hero again, more or less, and becomes a brother.''
''Tomara que isso aconteça no meu mundo Steph.'' ''I hope that happens in my world, Steph.''
She smiles and nods.
Tim seems to relax after that and looks back at Jason. ''Sorry, still getting used to you being here.''
Jason seems to realize what this is about and lowers his head, ''I know about the Joker, Tim, go ahead.''
Tim seems to wake up at this sentence and turns to Spoiler. ''You told him!?''
''He already knew when I arrived. Well, in parts.''
''I did. And he was brought here seconds before he went after the clown, he deserved to know.'' Carrie squared her shoulders. ''I thought I'd better tell him.''
Tim sighs. ''Good, at least a Jason won't...be like that.'' He shakes his head. ''Sorry, it's been kind of hectic times with the Titans lately, Kon says it's me and my cloud of rain and thunder in the room.'' He chuckles to himself. ''Anyway, how did we get here? Where are you from?''
The Robins explained, interspersing their explanations. This served both to explain to Tim what happened and to distract Dick from the mission. Tim also learned about the other Robins and answered Canary's questions about their world, age, etc.
Steph left as soon as the explanation began. She was no fool, with Tim here, she would have a communication and hacker base that she was used to. Smiling to herself, she meets up with the team.
Zatara left with Jason soon after to discover the boy's world, let's just say Diana threatened him to find Jason's world before the others.
Once the explanations were over, Canary met up with Batman in the monitor room and they were both listening to the team's communicators, which Bruce activated remotely without them noticing. The conversation with Tim would take place later.
