I unsheathed my tanto, I ran toward Hidan channeling fire chakra into my tanto. Hidan smirked as our weapons clashed. He clearly had the upper hand in strength and skill. Hidan eventually began to overpower me. I could see the bloodlust in his eyes. It was bad. Eventually, he overwhelmed me. Luckily for me I saw a spear fly over my head and into Hidan's chest.

In a heartbeat, I substituted with a log before Hidan could finish overpowering me. He quickly pulled out the spear and threw it back at Tenten. Next, I saw 5 shuriken fly over my head toward hidan with ninja wire attached to keep it. I saw five fireballs be launched into the shuriken and then they joined. The fireballs then were sailing toward hidan. Hidan jumped over the fireballs, reaching into one and grabbing a shuriken. He threw it toward me.

Danger sense activated and I ducked. I saw Hidan's scythe above me and I substituted with a log again. I was now behind hidan. I activated sprinting and jumped channeling even more fire chakra into my tanto, until it was lit ablaze. Hidan turned around and blocked my strike but I saw a kunai pierce his back from Mika who entered into our scuffle.

Hidan was getting angry all over again. "Just lay down and die already you stupid brats!" He shouted. He horizontally slashed his scythe at us, making us jump backwards. I deactivated sprinting to save some energy points. I wrapped an explosive tag around a kunai and threw it at hidan with all my might. Hidan saw this and dodged before it blew up.

I grinned, sheathing my tanto to let it rest. "No, you old man! We won't give up until you're dead!" I shouted back as Hidan rushed at me, and Mika once more. Mika threw caltrops onto the dirt, piercing Hidan's feet and making him stop for just a second.

I quickly went through some hand seals. "Fire-style fireball jutsu!" I shouted feeling the slight drain to my chakra be used as I spat out a large ball of fire. Mika saw what I was doing and she also spat out a large ball of fire at mine, Combining in the air and making a large inferno. Hidan was grazed by the inferno, burning his arm and shoulder heavily. The burns quickly regenerated. Tenten began throwing a bunch of kunai at Hidan. Some landed and most missed. I went back close to hidan and engaged in taijutsu

I kicked Hidan as he punched me. I ignored the pain as I followed up with a punch to the chest and a punch to the stomach. Hidan didn't stop though as he kicked me away and ran after me. I got up quickly and punched Hidan in the sternum and kicked him in the groin which stopped him for a quick second. I quickly kicked him in the face and jumped away. I saw a screen appear

Intermediate taijutsu has leveled up

I grinned happily. Taijutsu took forever to level up. I dismissed the screen quickly as Hidan raised once more. I saw another spear fly toward Hidan with a bunch of shuriken. I locked my chakra signature onto the 25 shurikens. I'd copy each by one. I went through some hand seals quickly. "Shadow shuriken jutsu!" I exclaimed. The shuriken multiplied into 50. Hidan was pierced with dozens of kunai. Suddenly Hidan became a log. I quickly realized he used the substitution jutsu and substituted as well feeling danger sense activate.

I kawarimied to tenten and we saw Mika engage Hidan in taijutsu. Mika grabbed Hidan's fist as he tried to punch her. I could tell it hurt to grab. Hidan Kicked Mika but Mika stayed where she was with a clever use of chakra and she stabbed hidan in the stomach with a kunai and she kicked it into him, presumably into his spine.

She then punched Hidan in the chin before Hidan kicked her away with ease. Hidan quickly followed her and punched her towards us. He then began running toward us.

Tenten seeing this unsealed a gunbai and blocked Hidan's scythe. I quickly unsheathed my katana and jumped over the giant fan and sliced down into Hidan's shoulder making him turn around as I took the weapon off of his now gushing and healing shoulder. I saw a katana go through the back of him from tenten. Hidan grabbed Tenten and threw her away and he quickly turned his attention to me and he was pissed. He grabbed the katana and speared it at me. I felt it enter my arm.

I saw blood seep out of the wound slowly as the katana went through it but pierced nothing vital thankfully. I pulled it out and used it to block a scythe strike from Hidan. Who was now faster... It looks like he stopped playing around. I jumped back, narrowly avoiding the scythe from grazing me. I saw Mika making sure Tenten was okay and I saw tenten unseal a bo-staff.

Mika and Tenten jumped beside me. We saw the now fully healed Hidan laughing. He was probably thinking about something demented. We all rushed at Hidan with him aiming for Tenten first, she parried his scythe with her Bo-staff although it was cracking under the pressure.

Mika was quickly kicked away by Hidan leaving only me and tenten. He kicked Tenten in the stomach, turning his attention to me. I quickly blocked a flurry of attacks from him as more kunai flew at him. I also saw Mika go behind him and me and go through some hand seals. She spat out more fireballs that hit hidan in the back. Hidan punched me in the ribs with his free hand, knocking me away. I felt something crack as I landed in the nice hard dirt.

Mika went up to attack Hidan once more with the Gunbai from before in hand, She blocked Hidan from attacking her with his scythe and kicked him. Hidan saw this. He stabbed her calf.

Hidan began laughing once more as he licked the blood. "I finally got one of you brats! One down, two to go!" He said, smirking with confidence. We hadn't been exactly winning so I see why. We only have been landing anything on him because of luck.

Hidan drew his circle in the sand as the bone marks appeared. I went through some hand seals and an earth clone rose out of the ground.

The clone rushed toward Hidan and I substituted with the clone and kicked Hidan in the chest. I looked at Mika as she cringed in pain. Hidan looked mad as I destroyed the circle. My clone tackled Hidan but Hidan quickly destroyed it. Hidan then rushed toward me and smacked me with his scythe sending me away. Something definitely broke then. A rib or two maybe?

I saw Hidan rush toward me once more But Mika quickly kicked him out of my way allowing me to get up as She engaged Hidan in a battle between kunai and scythe.

Hidan eventually got the kunai out of her hand and tried to cut her with the scythe. But Tenten stepped in, blocking the hit with another Bo-staff

Tenten looked happy. "I won't let you kill my friend!" She shouted, unsealing Hidan's old scythe and parrying Hidan's next strike with it. Hidan looked shocked as all hell.

Hidan's surprise lasted only a few seconds as Tenten jumped back and sealed the scythe as she grabbed Mika and jumped toward me.

I looked at my teammates. "Are you two okay?" I asked worriedly

Mika cringed. " I am but I sure hurt like hell right now. That fucker sure is strong" Mika said bandaging her leg. I would heal her but Chakra constraints were really fucking us all today

Tenten nodded. "Yeah I hurt a lot right now as well but everything is fine other than that," She said as Hidan rushed back toward us.

I nodded. "Good," I said as I blocked another downward slash of Hidan's scythe. Hidan looked pissed.

"JUST DIE!" He shouted, punching me away and kicking Mika and Tenten away. He went toward Tenten. Murder in his eyes. He broke through the Bo-staff she had as a weapon and punched her in the nose. He got ready to bring his scythe down upon her for a finishing blow.

Mika shunshined in and kicked Tenten away.

The scythe was going to kill her instead. Suddenly she ducked the blow as if it was in slow motion. Hidan sped up the pace even more and kicked Mika as hard as he could in the sternum towards me. Tenten got up and unsealed a kusarigama. She swung the iron ball on it at hidan as she parried a strike from his scythe. She looked like it was crushing her wrists. I made another earth clone and had it check up on Mika.

Quickly I jumped in, unsealing my old club and struck hidan in the back. Hidan turned around. "THAT HURT YOU MOTHERFUCKER!" He shouted. Suddenly I felt a kunai pierce my stomach. It hurt. I was then kicked away. Luckily the kunai came with me. God damnit I couldn't black out here. My tanto also slipped away from me.

Tenten and Mika showed up to keep Hidan from me.

My earth clone caught me and I went through some hand seals. " Healing technique," I uttered. An orb of yan chakra began closing my wound. I then got up once more and rushed toward Hidan grabbing a nearby spear Tenten threw earlier. I screamed in agony as I ran toward Hidan who was focused on the other two.

Hidan turned around after stabbing Tenten in the arm and kicking Mika away once more to see me.

He grabbed the spear before it could pierce him. Hidan smirked and used the but of the spear to send me flying after he overpowered me.

Mika caught me. "Dammit he's slaughtering us," Mika said, breathing heavily.

I nodded. "Yeah. At this rate, we won't win. We need to find an opening. Tenten could you give me a bladed weapon please?" I asked as My tanto wasn't with me at the moment as it slipped out of its sheath.

Tenten nodded unsealing a katana. "Sure take this... What should we do now?" Tenten asked tiredly.

I thought for a second. "We all attack. Carry on the original plan. " I said while inspecting the Katana. I wasn't used to one but it'd do.

We all looked to hidan who picked up my tanto and was dual-wielding his scythe and my tanto now. "Haha I got your stupid little sword. You're done for now you little cunts!" Hidan laughed, running at us. I kawarimied to him and clashed with the tanto scythe combo. I could feel the Katana wouldn't hold up through much more of this. I picked up a kunai from the ground as Hidan smirked. He was stabbed by Mika and Tenten but it did nothing. He kicked them both away and kicked me.

I felt tremendous pain but I persevered. I stabbed hidan in the groin with the kunai and Kicked it. Hidan screamed in agony and swiped my tanto upwards. I leaned backwards trying to dodge. Suddenly I felt immense pain in my right eye suddenly. I say Mikacome in and kick the Tanto way. Shattering it after the amount of abuse it had gone through today. I collapsed onto the ground. I put my hand up to my eye... blood, lots of blood was pouring out of my eye.

I had lost an eye.

Mika was batted away by Hidan's scythe. It hit her in the head, knocking her out and sending her flying over to Tenten. who also was knocked out by the force of Mika hitting her. Hidan looked over to them. "Hahaha Looks like you brats will die after all... HAHAHAHAH THIS IS WHAT YOU FUCKING CUNTS DESERVE FOR DESTROYING MY CHURCH!" Hidan shouted in both rage and excitement. He focused on Mika and Tenten. He then looked back at me and smirked cockily. "I'll come back for you once I used and killed your bitch teammates," Hidan said sadistically.

I felt anger and despair enter my being. 'I failed. I failed to protect my teammates. I failed to kill Hidan. I failed my family... I won't come back to my friends and loved ones. Never again.' I thought sadly. I then looked over to my teammates. 'They're going to die because I'm weak...' I thought.

I was a failure. Sure we were fighting an S-rank but still I had failed... Suddenly 3 scrolls came out of one of my pockets... The earth clones. I unsealed them. "Go! We failed grab them. One of you will stay with me" I said and my clones obliged. Suddenly my clones had Mika and tenten and they ran away.

I stood up. Hope in my lone eye. I channeled fire chakra through my Katana. I looked at my earth clone. "Distract him for me," I said seriously.

My clone nodded. "Okay, boss!" It exclaimed. It gave me a solute before running toward Hidan. Hidan looked infuriated.

I kawarimied behind Hidan... He was distracted by my clone.

My clone was cut in half by Hidan's scythe. "HAHAHAHA! I DID YOU YOU LITTLE BITCH ASS CUNT! YOU'RE DEAD!" Hidan shouted in pure ecstasy. My clone dissolved into the dirt. "Huh?" He said questioningly. He didn't notice it was a clone.

I jumped behind him. Sprinting activated. I had practically no chakra left so I couldn't coat my blade in flame. Hidan looked behind him to see me. "THIS IS FOR SENSEI!" I shouted, slashing my blade horizontally. Blood spurt out onto my face that wasn't my own.

I opened my lone eye to see Hidan's head on the ground shocked. We looked at each other. "I did it" I said before I collapsed onto the ground

Hidan began shouting. "PUT MY HEAD FUCKING BACK RIGHT FUCKING NOW OR I'LL KILL YOU, YOU LITTLE FUCKING BASTARD" Hidan shouted in complete anger.

I stood up. "No... you'll kill me either way. Now, no more tricks, no more regeneration, no more of your strength... This was an undeserved win from me. But I won. I beat you and now you're gonna die" I said, grabbing my katana and holding it above me. I was going to cut his head in half.

I swung. Black threads stopped me by poking into me

"Yes. Pain-sama is sure of his skill within our organization. He's most likely be your partner"

"Are you sure? It looks like the kids have figured out how to beat it"

"It looks like the kids are losing. A shame... they could have been half-decent bounties later."

Black threads sprung to life

Kukui's pov

"Sorry brat" we can't let you do that '' A man said as the black threads retracted. Danger sense was going haywire now. I looked over to where the black threads came from. I saw a very tall, tan-skinned man with long dark-brown hair. His eyes had an unusual coloring: green irides, no pupils and red sclerae. A very muscular build. A black mask over his lower face, a gray hood which covered his hair. His clothing included A black cloak with red clouds, the Takigakure forehead protector with a scratch in the middle, and gray pants with matching shinobi sandals. Another fairly tall man of fair complexion. He had black eyes, under which were long, pronounced tear-troughs. He had jet-black hair that was pulled back in a low ponytail and his face was framed with center-parted bangs that extended to his chin. He also had a black cloak with red clouds on it. And then there was a woman with short, straight blue hair with a bun, gray eyes with lavender eyeshadow, and a white labret piercing. She has worn a large light blue paper flower clipped on her bun. She also wore a black cloak with red clouds. I would have blushed if my life wasn't in extraordinary danger at the moment

Akatsuki. They sent Itachi, Konan, and Kakuzu.

I gulped. "Uh... This is bad" I simply said.

Hidan shouted. "DAMN RIGHT THIS IS BAD. STOP FUCKING IGNORING ME YOU LITTLE TWAT" Hidan said. I kicked his head, which I was allowed to do. I kicked it again for good measure.

I looked around. They clearly didn't see me as a threat. Shit If I only summoned Liebe... He could have saved my ass. Fuck I'm dumb. Oh well, I couldn't do that now. Any wrong move and I'd be dead. I actually would die no matter what... "Any chance you want him?" I asked knowing why they were likely here.

Kakuzu nodded, using the Jiongu to stitch Hidan's head back to his body and to restrain him. " Yep. You just softened him up for us." He said evenly. Probably thinking about how much money they could get from Hidan or something.

Itachi spoke up next. "Now that you have seen us I'm afraid we cannot let you go" He said. monotony. This was bad. Fucking bad.

I gulped. "Itachi the kinslayer, Kakuzu the thread beast... and a woman who is with them. Unknown... This isn't good" I said to myself. I put my hand up to my eye letting the blood seep to it. I began running and going through hand seals immediately. "SUMMONING JUT-" I was stopped by some paper.

"I'm afraid we cannot let you do that," Konan said. I needed to live. I had little chakra left but I wasn't out of options.

A log took my place. If I had to spam kawarimi to survive I damn well would.

Suddenly Itachi was in front of me. "Tsukuyomi," He uttered softly. Blood coming out of his mangekyo sharingan. The world turned red.

Itachi looked at me. Multiple of them did. "Now Kukui-Kun. You'll learn to fear Akatsuki" Itachi said as multiple versions of him appeared with swords.

I tried to break out of Tsukuyomi. "NO I'LL LIVE DAMNIT. I'LL LIVE AND I'LL RUN AWAY" I said in fear. The chakra from Itachi was intimidating... I had to get away. I ran but another itachi appeared and grabbed me.

"It is futile to run. I rule everything here. You'll be tortured for 72 hours... You'll be lucky if you survive. Let alone be a shinobi again" Itachi said, stabbing me. Multiple itachi's began stabbing me.

"You indeed are a strong willed one. But you are foolish like my brother. Playing the hero" Itachi said as I was stabbed

I glared at him. "You have no right to talk about your brother, you sorry excuse for a person" I said angrily. I sadly didn't get to yell at him even more as a crow covered my mouth

I screamed for seventy two hours.

Kakashi's POV

Kakashi was rushing over to the clearing quickly. He had been told by an earth clone what was going on. He had felt powerful chakra in the area. He was sure what would greet him wouldn't be pretty. Damn it why couldn't they have been there quicker. They left Genin to fight an S-rank.

"Almost there," Kakashi said, determined to go save the child.

Kakashi soon reached the area where the battle was fought. He saw blood. Lots of blood. He then saw the boy he was looking for. Covered in blood. Passed out. A lot of blood covering his right eye. He lost an eye.

Kakashi also saw his chest was still moving up and down. He was alive. That was good.

He quickly went to go apply first aid. There were multiple cuts, broken bones, and some internal bleeding along with the damaged eye. He couldn't heal it.

Kakashi applied enough chakra so Kukui would be stable. He also took out the damaged eye and cleaned the wound. He made sure nobody would die. He would need to get the story from the boy himself about what happened since his teammates wouldn't be able to fill in everything.

It wasn't known when He'd wake up though

Kakashi took Kukui back to Asuma and Tiger. They bother were surprised to see the boy alive.

Nevertheless, they looked around for Hidan and determined he was a missing nin. Mission completed at the very least. But at what cost? Hayate wouldn't be happy to see his students so roughed up. He had just woken up too.

This is my longest chapter in a long time. I finally got one out though. So did you like the fight? It was awesome to write. I know I made team 3 seem a bit op but Hidan actually thrashed them. I hope the fight was long enough as It took up like 2k words to actually write. Everything else is like 1.7k worth of word count. and I'm happy with that. I hope I got the Akatsuki right though its my first time writing any of them so I need more practice. Anyways what did you think?

Anyways yes Kukui lost an eye. I decided that since most other fics don't have the mc lose a limb or an eye I decided I would have Kukui lose an eye... Not a limb as I don't want to give him hashi cells or a puppet arm. As for the Tsukuyomi. Itachi wasn't aiming to kill. Just invoke fear and basically let Konoha know two members of the Akatsuki. Also no I won't have Kukui be so traumatized that tsunade is needed. I'm not doing that arc this early.
