So it turns out my skill tree has been reset... I still had sensing thankfully but my other options to get were now gone. The options that replaced them were decent. If leveled they could be great possibly... I just wondered what to get. Some could only be used in very specific situations. Others could be used at any time. Poison resistance was just a repeat sadly. I'd only need it for Sasori and that was pretty much it and water walking would be learned later anyways

I decided on chakra threads. If I could use them for what I wanted to then I'd be flaming Spider-man. Also I could use them for defense and getting weapons back. That would be hella useful. I could always gain these skills but Chakra threads was the most useful at the moment. I quickly bought the skill.

My face faulted. I would have to level it up. I made a lone, sad thread and watched it move around for five seconds before I retracted it. It wouldn't be that useful at the moment but It would be very useful later. Suddenly fantasies of fire beasts and massive fire floods came into my mind. I could make that dream come true with this.

It was almost time for me and my friends to spar. 1 v 6 sounded fair. Mika and Tenten would be there as well. I looked in the mirror. I had changed my outfit a bit. I got rid of the cloak for now for a black T-shirt.. I was just too lazy to go get another cloak. I had bandages covering my entire upper body under the shirt and gray pants. I was comfortable okay. I'd add back the cloak later until I could come up with a better outfit.

Soon later I stepped out of the door.

Kukui's pov: Training ground seven.

"Damn where is he?" Ino asked, tapping his foot. I've been watching for 15 minutes, Reading a book in a tree with stealth periodically activating. I also bribed Hinata to not rat me out. I decided it was time to dance. I closed my book. Mika and tenten were also there. Tenten was talking to Naruto, whilst Mika was gloating over her Sharingan to Sasuke. Overall it sounds like they were getting along finely.

I turned off stealth. "Here!" I exclaimed waving to my friends, some of which were angry.

Ino looked mad. "WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU? YOUR 15 MINUTES LATE!" She asked, screaming. Ah, I missed this.

I grinned. "I've been here for 15 minutes!" I exclaimed, I was being as cheery as possible just to rile her up. She'd make more mistakes. If there was a weak link, The team would go down.

"Where were you then? Why make us wait?!" She asked, Still mad. She was calming down though. Likely seeing through my ploy.

I pointed to the only tree in the area. "I've been there reading a book. Watching you all fuming and Mika gloating" I said smiling. "Now enough talk lets begin," I said. I felt danger sense activate immediately. Ino jumped back as Naruto and Sasuke stopped talking to Mika and Tenten. They both tried to punch me in a lung respectively. I grabbed their fists.

Naruto was shocked but he didn't give up. He pulled out a tag he didn't use immediately. "What the? How did you know we were coming?" Naruto asked, stunned

Sasuke grit his teeth trying to overpower me. "He's a sensor, remember? He probably sensed our chakra." Sasuke said. He was actually starting to overpower me. I felt danger behind me. I kicked Sasuke away and jumped. Hinata was below me with her byakugan activated and I could feel chakra coming from her palms. Gentle fist.

Hinata looked up and tried to thrust her palm into my stomach like our first spar. I grabbed her hand as I landed. "I'm better now. That won't work on me like last time" I said as a large shadow was being cast over me. Chouji and the partial expansion jutsu activated over his arm. I jumped out of the way and into safety. I also threw Hinata into Naruto who caught her. Bridal style. It was adorable.

"Shadow possession jutsu, Success" I heard Shikamaru say. I could already see that fucking smirk on his face.

He had me turn around. "You lose Kukui," He said as everyone surrounded me.

"Aww man, I didn't even get to do anything" Ino whines.

I tried to break free. I twitched. Come on level 50 willpower don't fail me now. I broke free. "Not just yet. I haven't even broke a sweat yet" I said grinning. They were going to need to be smart to beat me. I jumped high into the air. I threw 5 blunt shuriken. I also went through some hand seals. "Shadow shuriken jutsu!" I exclaimed. 5 multiplied into 25. I then watched as My friends who had gathered into one area dispersed. I grinned.

Shikamaru looked only slightly shocked "Damn he broke free. Ino your paralysis poison better damn work" Shikamaru said. He threw some senbon at me. I ducked. Another senbon was thrown at me. I made an earth clone. It took the hit for me. It pulled the senbon out of its arm. Poison didn't affect clones thankfully. "Go after Ino and Shikamaru" I ordered. My clone simply nodded. I'd take the head off of the body

I was facing Hinata, Chouji, Sasuke, and Naruto at once. The biggest Taijutsu behemoths of their year. Naruto threw a tag onto the ground. Feathers surrounded me Blinding me pretty much. I felt a kick land on my back. It hurt but not much. I grabbed the leg. I swung it around. I heard Hinata, Naruto, And Choji's screams of pain echo out. Suddenly I was holding a log.

I jumped into the air over a fireball. "So we're using elemental jutsu now huh? Well take this: Fire style: Fireball jutsu!" I said, spitting out a plume of fire at Sasuke. Sasuke backed away.

"You know the fireball jutsu..." He said, stunned. I made everyone get away from me by turning the flamethrower on everyone else. I jumped into the air and then kawarimied with Naruto. I jumped up into the air And punched him down to the ground. Knocking him out. The biggest pain in my ass was taken care of. I felt danger sense activate. I turned around and punched my earth clone. It was holding a poisoned senbon. Shikamaru was with ino who woke up. Clearly looking in pain.

Sasuke then came up beside me. I grabbed his shirt and quickly knocked him out. God, I loved sprinting. I held a kunai to his throat. "Give up, I have a hostage," I said, smirking I had won the war. I saw a shadow rush toward me. I jumped backwards past the limit of the jutsu.

Shikamaru slumped in defeat. "Fine, you win," Shikamaru said. He also grumbled something about troublesome Genin.

I grinned.

I heard Mika laugh in the Background. "Hahahaha he kicked your asses!" I heard Mika shout.

Tenten pinched her. "Don't be rude. They fought their hardest" Tenten said.

Ino huffed. "It's true though. He beat Sasuke and Naruto with ease and they're supposed to be the best in taijutsu. He could have beaten all of us but instead, he chose to end the fight early. We need to get stronger" Ino said slumping to the ground.

Chouji ate some chips. "Yeah we barely managed to do anything. He just dodged, blocked, and evaded. He keeps knowing where we are for some reason and we can't do much when he jumps in the air" Chouji said, also sad.

I felt bad now. "Don't feel bad guys... there's always room to improve. Konoha wasn't built in a day" I said, trying to comfort my friends. They weren't bad. They were quite good actually. But I'm better and more battle experienced.

Ino had a fire lit in her eyes. " You're right! We can still catch up! We'll beat you one day damnit!" She exclaimed.

I smiled. "That's the spirit," I said before going back to reading my book.

Soon after Naruto and Sasuke woke up

Kukui's pov: Home

I grinned. I was going to try something no doubtedly stupid. So I had snuck into the Jonin part of the shinobi library again. I got three books, Jutsu creation parts one through three. I was going to create a jutsu. Nothing too hard as of now. I had read the books three times each.

My goal was to create a jutsu with sound. Liebe Taught me how to adjust without sight. Sound was the next best option if sight wasn't available. My goal was to create a screech attack.

I gathered chakra in my throat. I condensed a lot of chakra into my voicebox. I had the idea for the jutsu down. Now it was just practice.

I got ready. I went through the necessary hand signs to mold the chakra. Bird, dog, rabbit, Horse.

I opened my mouth... Nothing came out and I began feeling pain in my ears...

Damn It didn't work...

I was a long way from making the fire equivalent of chidori or rasengan.

Training ground 7: A day later

"Alright. I have deemed you all ready." Hayate said. He nodded to himself and looked at us.

We were all puzzled. "Ready for what sensei?" Tenten asked. Wondering what the fuck we were ready for now. I swear this better not end us somehow fighting fucking Pain.

Hayate smirked and held out weights. "Regular training isn't doing anything for you anymore. So I have deemed you all ready for weighted training. You will all wear these ten pound weights on your wrists and ankles at all times until you are used to them. Once you are then they will be doubled" Hayate explained. Mika and Tenten groaned at the harsher training. I grinned. I always wanted to have insane weights like lee. Think about the hype potential!

I smiled. "Great! We can progress faster!" I said excitedly.

Hayate nodded in the negative. "Yes but also no. You'll progress faster than without these but only slightly faster than a few months ago" Hayate explained. I drooped a bit but I was still excited.

"Okay sensei!" I said excitedly.

Soon we all put the weights on.

Kukui's apartment

I sat down with a sigh. It had been a long few days for me. Adjusting to my eye being missing and to just get back into the swing of things has been a bit time consuming. My spar with my friends except Mika and tenten was really helpful Speaking of my teammates. Mika unlocked her Sharingan and Tenten got Hidan's scythe.

Mika with her one tomoe sharingan was now able to keep up with me in taijutsu. Sharingan bullshit. Ironic how when I lost an eye she unlocked hers. Tenten was as good as ever with a new strong weapon. Hidan's scythe was strong as fuck. They gained something and I lost an eye. Such bull... even though my quest rewards were making up for it lol

It was surreal to be honest. I was closing in on two years in this world in a few months. Canon began in around a year. I had that much time to prepare for the shitshow that is canon. I'd need to get stronger. I still wasn't even a third of the way done with my quest

Everything had gone up by one since yesterday which meant everything was at 40. That was cool and all but they needed to all be at 150, I needed a rinnegan and some other mystery requirements... Damn this blew. I needed to be better. I decided to make some tea.

I quickly began boiling the water.

Soon my tea was ready.

I sensed a chakra signature outside my door. It was the Hokages. I quickly opened the door. "Hello, Hokage-Sama. It's been some time I see... Would you like some tea?" I asked following the formula of most of our conversations. It was weird seeing the man visit after so long.

Hiruzen smiled. "I see you are feeling better indeed. And yes I'd love some Tea Kukui-kun" Hiruzen said sitting down. I summoned an earth clone from a scroll. They were really useful. I had it prepare the tea

Once we sat down Hiruzen immediately went on to business. "I knew you didn't fully report the events of what happened to you during the attack by 4 different S-rank criminals. Tell. Me. Everything. Now" Hiruzen said harshly. I almost pissed my pants in fear but I stayed strong.

I gulped. "Well everything I mentioned was true. I just left out one part... Their name is Akatsuki" I said. If there was one person I feared more than Itachi it was the hokage

Hiruzen relaxed. "I see... Is that truly all?" He asked just to make sure.

I nodded, now feeling a lot more relaxed. "It is. I have no more information other than who they are and what they told me and what I have seen" I said nervously.

The hokage nodded. "Sorry for scaring you Kukui-kun but you should not withhold information if it can be used" The hokage said, taking a sip of tea that my earth clone had just delivered. Man I loved clones.

"I know but you never know who the information will end up going too. There could be spies anywhere that would look to try to get this organization on their side" I said covering my ass. It wasn't all fake though. I didn't want to know what Danzo would do with that info. Could be good. Could be bad. I didn't know

Hiruzen nodded but he looked a bit alarmed. "That does indeed make sense. Now that is out of the way, would you like to play a game of shogi? I hear you're getting good at it from Hayate" Hiruzen asked, pulling a shogi board from nowhere.

I smiled. I wanted to beat the old man. "I am... Today will be the day I beat you!" I said hopefully

Training ground 7... again...

"So what are you going to teach us today sensei!? I asked curiously. I was also excited. Sensei said he'd teach us all a jutsu once again. Our third jutsu

Hayate smiled a bit. "Hyper brat. Well For you I've decided you need another Offensive jutsu. As you might know, Fire is one of the least versatile elements to use. So we're going to try to teach you a second element to compensate." Hayate said and I was amazed A second element. But didn't I already have earth jutsu? So did that mean I would learn earth

I still was smiling. "Does that mean I'll learn earth? Since I know the earth clone jutsu" I asked curiously. Anything would happen but this was the most likely thing to happen

Hayate nodded negatively. "Not necessarily. Earth may not be your secondary affinity, So we will have to see with a secondary chakra affinity paper" Hayate explained.

I was confused. "Secondary chakra paper?" I asked curiously

Hayate nodded. "Yes, although not commonly known unless one is a jonin but there is secondary chakra paper as well as regular chakra paper," Hayate said, pulling out a little blue sheet of paper. He handed it to me. "You know what to do so let's see what you get. As you know water would turn soggy, Earth would turn into dust, fire would crumple, and wind would cut" Hayate said

I inspected the thing for a second. I channeled chakra through it. It crumpled into a ball. I smiled widely. Lightning was badass! Maybe I could create a version of the chidori I could use? IT'd be better than a fire chidori. "I got lightning!" I exclaimed happily

"Lightning eh... It's a good offense but a bad defensive element. I think it'd suit your style well" Hayate said, nodding at his answer. "To train it you'll need to crumple a leaf into a ball using lightning chakra. Once you have that completed I will have someone I know teach you a lightning jutsu as a favor" Hayate explained. I was excited. If Kakashi wasn't the only lightning user in konoha I'd get someone else but if he was then I'd get trained by the fucking copy nin!

Hayate handed me a leaf. " Go ahead and try... It will take a while though." He said before sitting down. He was a shadow clone so he really didn't care.

I grabbed the leaf. I tried to channel lightning chakra into it. It burned up instead.

I knew I was in for one hell of a time

Unknown pov

A disembodied voice spoke up "Come... clo... child..."

The person did come closer, looking for the voice."Huh?"

The voice spoke up again. "Yes... come closer"

Eventually, the person pin-pointed the voice to a scroll. "Who is this?"

The voice from the scroll smirked from where they were located. "I am jashin"

Yes I am an asshole! I left this on a clifhanger on purpose for two reasons: One I'm tired of writing, As of uploading this chapter I should be taking a day off and two, I wanted to be a bit of a prick today. Anyways did you enjoy the chapter? This one was honestly tough to write... I'm thinking of making net chapter more slice-of-life-esque before moving on to the next arc. Just for a bit of team three bonding ya know. I want their sort of friendship to be more explained... Although I have never written much slice of life before so I'm nervous about that. I don't want to fuck up.

Next we have already surpassed 115k words this year! Its already been a productive year for me and I'm happy about that. Although I might upload less... Okay that's probably a lie like the last dozen or so times. I'll just abandon my other projects and return to this... I do have other project(s) In development. A oneshot and other SIOC fic but not sure when they'll be uploaded r if they're good.

Anyways enough ranting, Here's the question of the chapter time!
