CHAPTER 22.

Kara couldn't believe how lucky she and Helena had been since they entered that ship. This world took them in immediately.

They had a justice league here, a league that still asked her questions, but didn't turn its back and rather took them in, that was very good, she was afraid... Helena may or may not have said that the chances of them falling into a world where heroes were villains were as great as in a world considered normal for them. Luckily they stopped at a good one.

Batman still did the interrogation and Jon still read their minds, but that was expected.

What wasn't expected was that instead of the Titans, there was a different team, but that wasn't something she couldn't get used to. If that was the price for keeping Helena safe and seeing Clark and Lois one more time, then she was happy to accept it.

Speaking of Helena, the younger girl had woken up some time before the alarms went off, but Red Tornado explained the Robins' situation. That calmed them both down a bit.

Bruce and Dinah arrived soon after, needless to say Helena threw herself into her father's arms while crying. Their Bruce hadn't shown this much affection since Jason left, Kara thought, another proof that this was not his birth world.

Dinah acknowledged her with a nod, which Kara returned.

''It's very nice to meet you Kara.''

''Thanks again Dinah.''

''It's the least we could do.''

Kara cracked a small smile at that.

Bruce finally let his now daughter pull away from the hug, damn, she was a perfect blend of him and Selina. The last few hours have been more emotional than he's used to, a sister, a daughter and a biological son have shown up, in addition to the adopted ones, and even though Bruce knows they weren't his, he can't help but think they are. After all, these are the partners and children of his alternate versions, so he would obviously take care of them.

Helena wiped her tears away. ''So... I guess you already know who my mother is... you know, we Robins know you very well.''

Bruce nodded, not denying anything.

''Oh please, I didn't know that being emotionally stunted was genetic.'' Kara joked.

Helena shook her head. ''Kara already told you...''

''Everything I need to know.'' He interrupted. ''Red Tornado must have told you about our...'' He looks at Dinah.

''Guests?

''Talked about the other Robins, you mean?'' Helena asks.

He nods.

''Yes, he did. Clark had commented to me about it, too.'' Kara leaned against the stone wall.

''Actually I was thinking about that, maybe it kind of led the two of us here... I can't explain...'' Helena made movements with her hands as she tried to explain. A habit no doubt coming from Selina... Bruce really had to talk to her, but that was later, he had more important things now.

''Maybe, but we don't know how to be sure.'' Dinah replied.

"True.

They were silent for a few seconds with their thoughts before Bruce looked at his daughter again. ''Are the medicines taking effect?''

"Yes, I hardly feel anything. She smiled innocently.

That was a lie and everyone in the room knew it. Kara even raised an eyebrow at her.

''Leave it to Tim, Hel, hiding injuries doesn't suit you.''

Dinah and Bruce looked at each other. So Tim existed in their world too. Dinah started a mental chart for the boy.

''Stubborn bat.''

"Stupid alien.

''Whoa, let's stop for a moment before green rocks learn to fly.'' Dinah held up her hands and approached the black-haired girl. ''You will stay here until you recover, the team and the Robins will come to keep you company until you heal and that is not up for discussion, for I will not release you until you are firmly on your own feet.''

"She didn't get Kryptonite. Kara muttered to herself in response.

''You think.''

Dinah sighed, ''She sure is your daughter, Batman.

''You had doubts?'' Was the dry reply.

This caused all three women in the room to giggle. Dinah shook her head and sent a message to Red Tornado for him to warn the team.

Bruce looked at the two girls. ''Before we get into the details of our world and about the Robins, I would like to talk to you about what we can do to make it look like you are residents of this Earth.''

''And then we will talk to the newest Robin, and when we do that, you will go back to rest.''

''But I'm fine!''

''I don't call two broken ribs, a dislocated shoulder and a concussion okay.'' Batman replied in the same tone he spoke to Dick when the boy wouldn't sit still in the mansion.

Did he really train all the Robins to be stubborn like that?

Helena leaned back on the bed she was on. ''Fine, but I want to see my brothers.''

''First you're going to rest, okay?''

''So this is the pile of justice?'' Damian asked looking around. ''The league of my world never actually built that place. They just moved from the palace of justice to the tower.''

''I think this place is amazing, I mean, it's literally inside a mountain!'' B.J. exclaimed.

''What's your base?''

''The Palace of Justice.

''Really?''

''Our hideout is amazing indeed.'' Kid Flash interrupted.

''You mean the League's hideout.'' Carrie smiled.

"It's ours now''. Artemis left the kitchen after taking her plate. Everyone had finished eating by now.

"The tower is more technological.'' Damian sat down next to one of the female Robins, Rochelle, he discovered...his aunt. A swordfighter just like him, it is not hard to understand how she intercepted him in the middle of his attack, the fighting genes of the Wayne family was very good.

M'gann sat down next to him, the previous threat forgotten. ''Did you meet the watchtower?''

''Actually I was talking about the Titan Tower, but yes, the Watchtower is pretty good too, I've visited it more than once.''

''You guys haven't?'' Jason frowned.

''It's the league's HQ.'' Kaldur explained, but that had no effect on the Robins, as they just stared at him as if to ask ''so what?''

''And only the league has access?'' He tried again.

Silence.

''So Robin of the Katana, which world do you come from?'' Jason asked, changing the subject from the awkward silence.

I confess that I don't know. Dad created this contingency because of the Flash, but we never had a confirmation of this, until today. So I don't know which Earth I come from. And my name is Damian, not Robin of the Katana, that's ridiculous.''

''My father can help you with that, he found out about their Earth.'' Zatanna leaned forward on the couch.

''... Zatanna?'' He asked with surprise, paying attention to the mage for the first time.

''You know me too? Do I exist in your world?''

''We already told you, you exist in all our worlds Zee.'' Steph replied, ''Although you are much older.''

There was a chorus of confirmations with the exception of Rochelle, but that was understandable, if Zatanna existed in her time then it was wise to stay hidden.

Damian turned to Steph, ''Speaking of older...am I your Batman? I will certainly have to reconsider my principles if that is the case.''

Steph rolled her eyes, ''Don't even think about it, I won't tell you about my world. And you're younger than me there too.''

''That's pretty crazy.'' Superboy shook his head.

Dick snorted. ''If I had a nickel for every time I thought that, I'd be rich.

''You're already rich.'' Tim smiled.

Jason almost choked with laughter.

Kaldur himself held back a laugh at that.

''Good to see you're having fun.'' Superman smiled as he entered the room along with Zatara, Flash and Green Arrow. The four greeted the new Robin, receiving only a nod.

''Hey GA, tell me something, when is Roy coming? I talked to him about the Robins, but haven't heard back.'' Kid Flash ran up to his uncle out of consideration.

''Roy said he's coming to visit tomorrow.''

''Good, we haven't seen much of him.'' M'gann exclaimed.

''He's been busy.''

''Too busy to see his friends.'' Dick rolled his eyes.

''Tt Harper has always been a jerk.''

''Not the one I know.'' Jason replied.

''Ours is.'' Artemis snorted.

''It's probably a phase.'' Steph squared her shoulders, she herself did not socialize much with the archer before the virus devastated her planet. She contained a shudder at that. It's getting harder and harder to act normal around some people.

Tim notices the movement and frowns at this.

''I hope so.'' Oliver scratches his neck.

''How was the meeting?'' Tim asked, changing the subject and Steph immediately relaxes.

''The flash drive is still being decoded, the machines haven't given us many answers, but they're still being analyzed.'' Batman entered the room along with Black Canary, ignoring his teammates. Barry rolled his eyes at that.

Bruce looked around the room, this was starting to get crowded. ''The Green Lanterns are using their contacts to find out what they can about Komand and the rest are investigating the league of injustice. The information you guys got was very helpful, good job.''

The team stared at each other in shock and happiness.

''Did he just praise them?'' Carrie leaned over to Jason.

''I think so.''

Dinah frowned to keep from giggling, Clark, Barry and Oliver chuckled softly. Bruce kept his face neutral, although he wondered why they were so surprised. He certainly complimented Dick on his accomplishments.

''Is he sick? Dick asked.

''Maybe Super dressed up in his Batman uniform again.'' Steph squared her shoulders.

"But Clark's over there... B.J pointed at the Kryptonian in question, who put his hand to his mouth to stop himself from laughing.

Apparently not.

''Back to what really matters.'' Batman exclaimed.

''No, that's him.'' Tim looked at them.

''First thing in the morning we'll bring more clothes for the new arrivals, plus we'll have meetings with all of you. We need everything you can tell us about Komand.'' Bruce continued.

''And I hope you will come and talk to me soon afterwards, as much as it may not seem like it, talking helps a lot. And I can't in good conscience ignore the obvious triggers of some of you and let you go back to your worlds like that.''

Canary stepped forward, looking around the room, although he was referring to the Robins.

Tim and Steph looked at each other.

''Still no ETA back?'' B.J asks, looking at the other adults in the room.

''No, and neither is how many more will be coming.'' Barry replied, he had been in charge of conducting the readings.

''Your team told me that our presence here is part of a larger plan, will you let us know when you find out more information?'' Damian asked this time.

Of course, you'll be the first to know.

Damian nodded, this version of his father seemed more... calm? Paternal? than his own. Weird.

Dick cleared his throat. ''B, I think we need to talk...''

"The team knows.'' He stated.

"The team... never mind, obviously you know.''

"And you're okay with that? M'gann asked.

''At first I wasn't, but the damage was already done and you would find out soon enough anyway.''

''That will be safe with us Batman.'' Kaldur speaks firmly.

''Yes I know.'' He looks at the team again. ''It's getting late, go home and rest. And Green Arrow? Tell Red Arrow that the meeting will take place tomorrow.''

''He's right, you guys need to rest.'' Barry agrees.

''Rest from what? Today was quieter than yesterday...'' Kid Flash complained as he stood up and followed his mentor into the zeta tubes. After saying goodbye Artemis, Dinah and Oliver, along with Zatana and her father following them.

Clark walked over to Conner, ''I was wondering, do you want to meet Kara and then come with me to Smallvile?''

Conner looked at him startled and turned to the team members.

M'gann looked about to jump for joy, Kaldur and Dick smiled and nodded to their friend.

Some of the Robins who were informed about the two's relationship were also making excited gestures.

''Go on Supey.''

''Enjoy Kon.''

''Have fun.''

Conner smiled at his friends and looked back at the older Kryptonian. ''I'll go pay for my stuff.''

The two left the room heading towards the infirmary and then the bedrooms.

Realizing that Batman wanted some time alone with the Robins, Kaldur stood up and wished everyone good night, signaling for M'gann to do the same.

Bruce closed the door and took off his hood after they left.

''I think it's past time for me to talk to you guys.''
