Winter Shenanigans
Hello everyone, and welcome back to Humans After Halloween. This chapter will happen around Christmas, as this will be the Christmas episode.
Also, everyone should stop worrying about what I did in the first chapter. It's my story, I can write what I want in it. And the girls have their bodies they have because why keep making them like their dolls?
One last thing. I think in a future chapter I might put in Dimentional Travel, where some of the Gen 1 monsters travel to gen 3 of Monster High. I mean, if they can have Time Travel, then why not do that? Anyway, let's get to the chapter.
We are at Monster High, as we hear the final bell ring and everyone rushed out, very excited to start their winter break. Our main group came out, taking in the winter air. Robecca had joined their group, as she stuck close to Zechariah and Venus. Reason being is that not only did the Normie save her life, he also fixed her inner clock, which she was very greatful for.
"Man, this is going to be great! Not only will there be no school, we get to have some winter fun!" Clawdeen exclaimed, clearly excited.
"I think this is the first time I seen you this excited." Zechariah said, as he was holding Venus close to him.
"Duh, that's because it's winter break. Who wouldn't be excited to get some time off of school." Clawdeen told him.
"I see. Well, anyone up for the Maul for some Christmas shopping?" Zechariah asked, which got some positive responses from the ghouls.
"Now you're speaking our language." Cleo said.
Since it was too cold to walk there, everyone rode in seperate cars to the Maul. Zechariah used his car, to which Venus, Robecca, Clawdeen and Frankie had joined him. Once at the Maul, everyone went in and started shopping. All the ghouls were shopping together, while the manster's were doing the same.
Zechariah was looking for a present to get Venus, as this would be their first official Howliday together as a couple.
"Hey, guys? What do you think I should get Venus for Christmas?" He asked the guys.
"Just get her someting from the heart, man." Clawd said.
"Yeah. Whatever you buy, she will love." Gil added.
"Totally." Deuce agreed.
They continued to walk, when something in a jewlery store caught Zechariah's attention. He went in the store without the other guy's noticing. Once inside of the jewelry shop, he heard a familiar regal voice that didn't belong to someone friendly.
"Ugh, what are you doing here?" Nefera asked, just as Zechariah walked in. The reason she was here was to see if there was any jewelry that suited her taste, though she wasn't having any luck. And on top of not finding any jewelry, the normie that her sister was friends with was here.
"For your information, a piece of jewelry caught my eye and I want to buy it for my ghoulfriend." Zechariah told her, not too pleased to see the mummy.
"How...quaint. If I were you, I wouldn't bother here. They don't have anything good here." Nefera said, as she was heading off.
"Just because you're a spoiled rich daddy's girl, it doesn't give you the right to slander everyone and everything around you." Zechariah said. This made Nefera stop and turn around.
"Excuse me!? Just who do you think you are talking to me like that?!" Nefera said in a stern, yet demanding voice.
"You might be next in line to your dad's throne, but you won't be a great queen. Cleo would be a better queen than you." Zechariah told her. Even though Zechariah had known everyone at Monster High for a little over a month, even he knew Cleo would be a better queen than Nefera.
Nefera gritted her teeth, as she let out a growl of frustration. One thing she hated hearing the most was someone saying that her sister would make a better queen than her. She wanted to curse Zechariah where he stood, but she decided to just storm off in frustration.
After all that, Zechariah then proceeded to purchase what he came here to buy.
With the ghouls, they had finished their shopping, when the guys walked up to the group without Zechariah with them.
"Hey, where's Zechariah?" Venus asked, wondering where her boyfriend was.
"We dunno." Deuce answered.
"Wasn't he with you guys?" Frankie added.
"He was with us, but I guessed he wandered off without us knowing." Clawd said.
"Hope he hasn't gotten hurt." Venus said, with a worried expression.
"Don't worry, luv. Wherever he is, he will be fine." Robecca told the plant monster, as she placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Yeah, you're right. I'm just probably worrying over nothing." Venus said, as she started to calm down.
Back with Zechariah, he exited the jewelry shop with a small paper bag, having bought what he needed. He was hoping Venus would love what he got her. Now all he had to do was get back to the group.
From a distance, a certain mummy was watching him with frustration in her eyes. Ever since the normie was hanging out with Cleo and her friends, he has been getting under Nefera's skin. Luckily, she brought an idol from home and took it out. She didn't exactly remember what it did, but she rubbed it and it activated.
The idol shot a light into the skyline that was in the roof of the building and phased through the glass. Once it got high up in the sky, it changed into a black cloud and grew to the size of the mall. Once it got that big, it started snowing, as it then turned into a blizzard.
Back with the group, everyone saw what was happening outside, as they were getting worried. That's also the time Zechariah returned to the group.
"What is going on out there?" He asked.
"It's clearly a blizzard, duh." Clawdeen snarked to him.
"I can see that. What I want to know is why there's a blizzard going on out there." Zechariah said.
"We don't know. We're just as confused on how it started too." Frankie said.
"The weather person said there would be light snow today." Venus said, as she hugged onto Zechariah.
"There's only one reason this could happen. Nefera!" Cleo exlaimed with a bit of venom.
"I just ran into Nefera when I went into the jewelry store. I didn't see anything on her that could cause something like this." Zechariah said.
"She was probably hiding a magical idol in her purse. Follow me." Cleo demanded, as she and everyone else went to find Nefera.
It didn't take them long to find her, as they saw her at a table, fiddling with the same idol that caused the blizzard. They marched up to the table, as Cleo slammed her hands on the table.
"Turn this blizzard off!" Cleo demanded.
"I will do it, if he says I will be a better queen than you will." Nefera said, as she pointed to Zechariah.
"Really? You did this because I said Cleo would be a better queen?" Zechariah asked.
"Yep." Nefera said, as she had a big smile on her face.
"How pety can you be. You trapped about a hundred or so monsters in here, including yourself, all because of a little bit of truth?" Zechariah asked, as a dark aura was starting to form around him from anger. Everyone in the group got a worried expression on their faces, especially Venus, as they haven't seen him this angry before.
This also frightened Nefera a bit, but she didn't let them see her scared. "So what? What are you going to do about it?" She asked, crossing her arms. This was the wrong thing to say to Zechariah, as he pinned her to the nearest wall a couple feet off the ground, as his friends and ghoulfriend gasped at his actions. This actually scarred Nefera a lot, as she dropped the idol and was shaking in fear.
"You better take away this blizzard, before I show you what I can do." Zechariah said in dark, scary voice.
"I-I d-don't know h-how. I usually use these without knowing how to reverse it." Nefera said in fear. That's when Frankie, Venus and Robecca came up to his side.
"Zechariah, let her go!" Frankie pleaded.
"She's right, luv. No matter how cruel Neffera can be, she doesn't deserve this." Robecca added.
"Please let her go. For me." Venus begged, as she hugged Zechariah around his torso.
Zechariah took a look at all three of the ghouls, as he started to calm down. He set down Nefera, as he hugs Venus back.
"I'm sorry. I usually don't get that angry. I don't know what came over me." Zechariah apolegized.
"Just don't do it again, please." Frankie said. All three ghouls and Zechariah got up and moved back to the group.
Cleo walked up and took the idol that was near Nefera, who was sitting in the fetal position and shaking. She took a look at her sister for a second, before taking a look at the idol. After looking at it for a few seconds, she points it to the sky and it fires another ball of light.
Once the ball of light reached the clouds, instead of making the storm worse, it made it disappear completely.
"Glad that's over" Clawdeen said.
"Yeah, but what will we do with her?" Draculaura asked.
"Guess I will make sure she gets home." Cleo said, as she got on her phone and called someone.
Once all that was settled, everyone went to the food court to relax and calm down. Zechariah sat at a table with Venus, Robecca, Frankie and Clawdeen. Everyone else sat at nearby tables, talking with each other.
"You shouldn't let someone like Nefera get to you like that." Clawdeen told Zechariah.
"Says the ghoul who gets frustraited over the littlest of things." Frankie joked, to which everyone gave a chuckle, while Clawdeen just smiled while rolling her eyes.
"So, what did you get from the jewelry shop?" Robecca asked, looking to Zechariah.
"Yeah, I want to know." Venus said, to which the other ghouls at the table wanted to know too.
"Okay, okay. I bought Venus a present for Christmas. You know, since this will be our first howliday together." Zechariah said, which got a bunch of Aww's from the other ghouls at the table.
"You didn't have to get me anything. Just being with you is all I need." Venus said, as she hugged Zechariah.
"I know, but I thought I'd get something as special as you are." Zechariah told her, which more Aww's came from the ghouls.
"Well, can I see what you got me?" Venus asked, curious on what Zechariah got for her.
"Well, I would normally wait for Christmas to give you it," Zechariah teased, though the ghouls at the table and the group of friends wanted to see what he got her. "but I can make an exception."
Zechariah grabbed a box out from the jewelry bag. It looked big enough to hold a bracelet. Zechariah handed Venus the box and wanted her to open it. She opened it and took a look inside, letting out an audible gasp. Inside was a golden bracelet with a bunch of plant charms on it. The biggest charm on it was a venus flytrap that had an emerald in its mouth.
"It's...beautiful!" Venus exclaimed, giving Zechariah a huge hug, followed by a kiss on the lips.
"Anything for my ghoul." Zechariah said, getting a whole bunch of 'Aww's' from the ghouls surrounding them. Draculaura was even crying tears of joy from seeing this.
Meanwhile, just as the group was doing that, Nefera was being escorted by her Anubis guards to go home. As she was leaving, she looked over to the group just as Zechariah gave Venus her gift. As she got to her vehicle, Nefera began thinking.
'What is it with that normie and his friends?' She thought, though it was more out of curiosity than malicious intent.
Wait, was she really thinking about that normie? Her father told her all her undead life that normie's weren't to be trusted, that they were beneath them. Was he wrong about normies? Either way, she told the guards to take her home, to which they did.
There, that chapter's done. I wanted to get this posted on Christmas and before the New Year, but me playing videogames got in the way of that, so belated Merry Christmas and hope your New Year is going good so far.
Also, we got to see Zechariah unleash some anger to Nefera, which scared her more than his friends. I know Nefera probably doesn't scare that easily, but I thought Zechariah's anger would be scary to her. Anyway's, hope you enjoyed this chapter and see you next time.
