Happy Birthday Atem

The last few weeks of their sophomore year were filled with dreaded exams. It was now late May, Yugi and the gang were in class taking their last final of the year. Tomorrow they would have a carnival during school hours and that night they will hold a Prom for the Juniors & Seniors.

Yami was a little disappointed when he learned that he couldn't take Yugi to the Prom and that he would have to wait until they would be Juniors or Seniors.

"Finally done," Yugi said as he stretched his body out backward onto Yami's desk and gave him an upside-down smile. "Hey handsome", he giggled.

"Hello beautiful," Yami chuckled as he leaned down and kissed his younger lover sweetly on the lips, making him giggle again.

"How long have you been done At'e?" Yugi asked him.

Yami smiled at him, "I got done about five minutes before you did."

"Hey Atem, Yugi", Ryou and Malik said

"Hey Pharoah, Midget," Bakura and Marik said. Ryou, Bakura, Marik, and Malik had just joined them.

"I am not a midget! Yugi pouted.

Yami stood up, picked Yugi up, and sat down with him in his lap Yami looked down at him, "You look like an angry kitten when your mad, but it's so cute," he chuckled kissing his cheek. Yugi pouted and looked away from his lover.

"Hey did you guys just get done too?" Atem asked them.

"No, we finished about twenty minutes ago. The teacher asked us to retrieve these two from the auditorium. The principal made a deal with them if they didn't touch anything explosive anymore that she would pass them for the next two years." Ryou explained pointing at Bakura and Marik.

"Why what did you two blow up this time ?" Yami asked

"Nothing, we made a stink bomb and set it to go off in Tea's car so now she's gonna smell for weeks to come. Nobody will go within fifty feet of her. Unfourtanly she complained to the principal saying that we were trying to kill her unborn baby." Marik said rolling his eyes.

Yami rolled his eyes, "you and I both know she doesn't give a damn about that baby. I'm surprised she hasn't had an abortion yet."

"From what I heard from the other dancers that use to be friends with her. That her parents are forcing her to go to full term, saying she was irresponsible enough to have unprotected sex then she can have this baby." Serenity said

"I wish she would just drop out, that bitch annoys me," Marik said.

"I know what you mean. I can't stand her. Ever since I got my own body she's been a complete bitch to Yugi for no reason at all. Other than the fact that she's jealous that I asked Yugi out and not her. I have told her several times that I am gay. She's too stupid to understand the word no". Yami grumbled.

All too soon Yugi grew tired of listening to the Yamis talk he walked over to the other Hikaris.' "Hey guys", Yugi said taking a seat in between Ryou and Malik.

"How's our little mama doing?", Malik said with a grin.

"Shut up," Yugi said nudging him in the ribs. "So I wanted to ask you guys for a favor. Yami's birthday is Saturday and I wanted to know if you guys and your Yamis' would help me out. I want it to be a surprise. I already got Joey and Tristan to agree to help."

"Yea sure! We can help. What do you need us to do?" Ryou asked.

"Well I'm already five and a half months pregnant and Yami would have a stroke if he knew I was doing anything strenuous," Yugi said placing a hand on his bulging tummy. "I'm mostly going to need your guys' help decorating. I'll be making his cake. He said he wanted a devil's food cake, so I'll make him that."

"What time do you want everyone there?" Malik asked him

"Well set up shouldn't take that long. I already bought all the decorations. I'll send Yami out on a food craving on the other side of town so he will be out of the house. So come over to our house after school tomorrow."

"Won't Yami suspect somethings up if you send him out on his birthday?" Malik asked him.

"Hmm, you got a point. What if we have the party on a different day? Not on his actual birthday. What about having the party this Friday, after school is out for the summer? Then Saturday night I'll make him his favorite dinner and do whatever he wants to do."

"Which will be you on your back, naked in our bed," Yami said quietly in Yugi's ear, with a smirk on his face, making his little one yelp and jump in the air.

"YAMI! That's not funny! How long have you been standing there for?"

"Long enough to hear about you making me my favorite dinner and then you on your back begging me to fuck you harder," His older lover smirked back at him.

"YAMI!," Yugi squealed as his whole body turned bright red making Yami chuckle deeply while Ryou and Malik roared with laughter at the look on Yugi's face, who by now covered it with his hands.

Yugi just blushed and hid his face in Yami's chest making him chuckle more.

"So what were you guys talking about Yami asked them as he wrapped an arm around Yugi's waist bringing him in closer to his chest as he ran his fingers through Yugi's soft silky locks, relaxing him.

"We were planning our summer vacation for this year. Yugi asked us if me, Marik, Ryou, and Bakura could come over tomorrow after school lets out for summer, so we decide where we are going to go this year." Malik said.

"Well, we better get going Ishizu will have our heads if we aren't back before dinner. She currently isn't too happy with us for the stink bomb incident in Tea's car." Malik snickered.

"Okay, we'll see you guys tomorrow. Bye, guys!" Yugi called as Yami took his hand in his and they walked over to Yami's car. "Can we stop at the store before we head home? I need to pick up a few things."

"Sure thing little one", Yami said getting into the car and kissing Yugi sweetly as he started the car. "I love you aibou so very much."

"I love you too Yami," Yugi said sweetly as he gently squeezed Yami's hand since he couldn't kiss him as he was driving.

Once they got to the store Yami parked the car and Yugi got out. "I won't be long Yami. You can stay here I only need to get a few things then I will be out."

"Ok, aibou I'll wait here," Yami said kissing him before he left to go into the store.

Yugi grabbed a cart and walked over to the meat section of the store. He pulled a list out of his back pocket and took a look at it. "Ok, so Yami wants me to make him Fattah so I need some beef and lamb since I'm not sure which one Yami would like more. So I'm going to make them both. Then I will need to get pita bread and tomato sauce, we already have rice at home and I need to get the stuff to make his cake too. I hope he will like what I got him," Yugi mumbled to himself as he walked through the store grabbing the stuff he needed for Yami's cake.

He had bent down to get the flour and had to put a hand under his large belly for support when he stood up. Ra bending down is getting harder the further I get in this pregnancy. Yugi thought to himself.

As he was checking over his list he felt someone shove him hard from behind and he fell to the ground clutching his belly trying to protect the growing child inside him.

"Oww! What the hell is your problem?" Yugi asked as he tried to get up and was immediately kicked in the back and fell onto his belly. "Oww!" he cried. He turned around to try to defend himself when he was met with Tea's angry face.

"I thought I told you to stay away from MY Yami!" she screamed at him kicking him in the stomach this time sending him to his knees in tears from the intense pain he was in.

Ahhhh! Yugi cried out in pain. He had to try and breathe through the pain to contact Yami through their mind link but it wasn't working as he was in too much pain and he kept getting hit by Tea making the pain worse he had to try and distract her long enough to get her to stop hurting him and the baby inside him.

"First of all, it's Atem to you, second of all he's not yours and never will be," Yugi said through clenched teeth trying to breathe through the pain in his belly, as he stood up. His pants felt wet and he feared that the baby might be in danger. Just as she was about to land another hard hit to his stomach again, she was yanked by her hair hard and landed on her back.

"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING YOU STUPID CUNT!"

"Y-Yami", she studdered out, terrified of the man standing over her His crimson eyes were practically glowing with anger as he glared at her.

"He-He attacked me Yami I had no choice" She lied placing her hand on his and trying to get him to help her up.

"SILENCE! WHORE!" Yami yelled at her ripping her hand off of him and rushing over to Yugi.

"Are you ok Aibou?" Yami asked worriedly.

"N-N-no I-I think something is wrong with the baby!" Yugi cried as Yami gathered him into his arms. He pulled out his phone and called for an ambulance.

In less than five minutes the ambulance arrived to take Yugi to the hospital. Yami told the cops to meet him at the hospital as he was riding with Yugi.

They took Yugi back and Yami was not happy he could not be there with his aibou. He figured he might be a while he decided to make a few calls to their friends to tell them what happened. Once he got off the phone the police arrived and wanted to talk to him.

"Hello son I am officer Daniels and I would like to ask you a few questions if you have time."

"Hello Sir I apologize about earlier but my fiancee was the one in the ambulance. I'm very worried about him, he's five and a half months pregnant with our first child" Yami said shakily

"That's alright son can you tell me your name, age, and address please."

"Sure, It's Atem Sennen and I live at the Kame Game shop on 12th in Tokyo, and I am currently 16 going on 17." I live with my fiancee and his Grandfather Solomon Mutou, who is currently in Egypt supervising an archaeological dig and can't be reached."

"Thank you, Now can you please tell me what happened at the store? I already got Miss Gardner's version and I would like to get your side of the story Atem."

"Of course, Well first off you shouldn't believe anything that girl says, she is a liar. But anyway my Fiancee, his name is Yugi Muto and he's about to turn 16. We had just got out of school and he wanted to stop at the store because my birthday is Saturday he wanted to get the ingredients to make dinner he said he didn't need me to come in as he was only getting a few things. So I stayed in the car. But after ten minutes I started to get worried, call it what you will but something didn't feel right, so I went into the store in search of him."

"When I found him he was laying on the floor clutching his stomach and I saw Tea about to try to kick him again and I grabbed her by her hair and yanked her backward to knock her off balance." She said she had no choice, that he attacked her, and that she was worried about the safety of her baby when he attacked her, Sir I have known Yugi for four years he has never ever harmed anyone, even if they attacked him first. I've had to save him several times from bullies that would go after him at our school. because he wouldn't defend himself. Anyway, after I made sure she wouldn't attack him again, I knelt down beside him and that's when I noticed that his pants had blood on them and he said he thought something might be wrong with the baby that's when I called for an ambulance."

The officer was writing down everything Yami had told him and was comparing notes back and forth. "I have to ask you Mr. Sennen what was the reason Miss Gardner attacked Yugi?"

"That girl has issues," Yami said

"In what way? You also said earlier that she's a liar. Why do you say that?" Officer Daniels asked him.

"Since I got together with Yugi last year she has been harassing us severely, mainly Yugi. This is the worst it has gotten. We tried going to her parents and the principal at our school because a few months ago she hired one of the guys who use to bully Yugi to beat him up and then tried to break us up by saying to the entire school that Yugi doesn't know who the father of his child is, making people think that he sleeps around and that she is pregnant with my child which isn't true. I am a gay man, sir. She is crazy she seems to think that I should be with her and not Yugi. I have told her several times that I have no interest in her whatsoever and she just doesn't get the picture and will continue to bother us. I want to press charges and I want a restraining order put on her."

"Alright, Atem I think we have all the information we need. If we need to contact you what would be a good number?"

"Yes my cell is 817-769-522"

"Alright thank you, Atem. I am going to need to talk to Yugi as well."

"That's fine I understand," Yami said

As Yami continued to talk to the officer all their friends showed up. "Hey, Atem what's going on? All you said in your text is that Yugi was taken to the hospital." Joey asked him

"That stupid cunt attacked him again. She kicked him in the stomach and hurt our baby there was a lot of blood." Yami growled.

"WHAT?!" Joey yelled.

"Yea I don't know anything yet they wouldn't let me come back there with him."

"Family for Yugi Muto?" A nurse asked as she came out from the emergency room doors.

Yami and their friends walked over to her. "I'm Atem Sennen I am Yugi's fiancee', how is he? How's our baby?"

The nurse smiled at him, "he is fine just some minor bleeding which we were able to stop and the baby is fine. He is awake and asking for you but I'm afraid I can only allow one of you in at a time," she said looking at all of their friends. "So Mr. Sennen if you will just follow me I can take you to his room." She said and Yami followed her to his little one's room.

"Aibou!" Yami cried out running toward his little one and embracing him in a gentle but firm hug.

"Yami!" Yugi cried as he squeezed his darkness for all it was worth. "Ohh Yami I was so scared."

"Shhh hush now little one it's ok, the baby is fine and so are you," Yami said comforting his little one. He climbed up onto the bed next to his aibou and pulled him into his lap and Yugi clung to him sobbing.

"Shhhh it's ok aibou, our baby is fine. You are ok," Yami said as he started rocking Yugi back and forth running his fingers through his hair and trying to calm him down some. Yami looked up as he heard knocking on the door.

Officer Daniels poked his head into the room. "Hello is it ok if I ask Yugi a few questions about what happened earlier at the store ?"

"Aibou? This is officer Daniels he needs to talk to you so he has your side of the story as well."

Yugi looked up at Yami with big wet eyes "O-O-Ok but I- I want you to stay with me."

"I'm not going anywhere aibou I promise," Yami said kissing him on his forehead, making him smile. Yugi had explained in detail to Officer Daniels when Tea attacked him in the store.

"Well, I'm convinced that this was an unprovoked attack. I still have to review the security footage from the store. You had said that you would like to press charges against Miss Gardner is that right Atem?"

"Yes", Yami growled. "I have warned that bitch before if she hurt Yugi again I would press charges."

"Alright well, I will go back to the station and file these reports."

"Thank you Officer Daniels I appreciate it", Yami said

Once Officer Daniels left a nurse came in with some discharge papers for Yugi.

"Ok Mr. Muto we just want to take one last peak at the baby then you are all set to go home. Ok sweetie, just lay back and lift your shirt up so your belly is showing," the nurse said kindly

Yami unwound himself from his little one, got off the bed, and stood next to him taking Yugi's smaller hand into his larger one.

The nurse squeezed some cold gel onto Yugi's swollen belly, making Yugi shiver at the coldness

"Sorry hun it's a little cold," she apologized as she moved the wand around Yugi's belly trying to find the baby. "Everything looks good. Would you like to find out the sex of your baby?" she asked.

"Really?" Yugi asked with a teary smile.

"Yup," she smiled back at him.

"Yami what do you think?" Yugi asked him.

"If you want to find out then let's find out aibou". Yami said with a gentle smile, one that was only reserved for him.

"Yes, we would love to find out. We tried to find out at my last doctor's appointment but they were being shy," Yugi giggled.

"Well I got a clear picture now," the nurse said as she turned the monitor around so they could see. "Congratulations honey you are having a little girl". the nurse said.

Yugi squeezed Yami's hand firmly as he started to cry.

"Aibou?" Yami asked carefully.

"I'm ok these are happy tears. Look at her At'e' she's beautiful." I can't wait till we can finally hold her," Yugi said tears streaming down his face as the nurse wiped the gel off of him.

Yami had tears in his eyes as well as he looked at the screen. "She is beautiful, just like her mamma," he said as he kissed Yugi's cheek.

"Ok Yugi you are all set to go, my dear, just sign these papers and you can be on your way."

"Oh before we go can we get a copy of the ultrasound please?" Yami asked her.

"Of course you can it's going to take a few minutes to get it onto a disk do you mind waiting or would you like us to mail it to you?"

"We don't mind waiting if it's only going to take a few minutes," Yami said to the nurse.

"Hey, baby I'm going to go make a phone call. I left our car at the supermarket so I'm going to call Joey to see if he and Ryou can pick our car up and pay for the groceries that were left behind. I'm not leaving I'm just going around the corner so I can call them ok sweetie?" Yami said to Yugi kissing the top of his head.

Yugi nodded his head and sat down as he waited for the pictures and Yami to come back after what happened today he really didn't wanna be alone. "I'm really glad you're ok sweetie. I was really worried that that mean lady had killed you. Mommy and Daddy love you so much already my little cherry blossom and we can't hold you in our arms," Yugi said as he gently stroked his swollen stomach, tears falling down his face.

Once Yami had finished with his call he walked back over to Yugi's room and found him sitting on the bed, crying and rubbing his belly. Yami walked over and sat on the bed behind him wrapping his arms around his little one.

"Aibou, what's wrong sweetie are you ok?"

Yugi didn't trust himself to speak so he just nodded his head. Yami knew Yugi was still very upset, so he just picked him up, sat him in his lap, and held him there.

Yugi clung to Yami like no tomorrow and sobbed. "I-I-I was so so s-s-scared Yami I-I thought I'd lost our baby when I felt my pants were wet and I saw the blood underneath me I thought she killed her I want her charged," he said angrily.

Yami held him tight against his chest. "I know aibou, I know. I already told Officer Daniels that we are pressing charges and that we want a restraining order," he said as he gave Yugi a sweet kiss on the lips. "I love you aibou so, so much and I'm glad that my Queen and our little Princess are ok. I'm really excited to be having a little girl." Yami said softly as he rubbed Yugi's swollen stomach.

"Me too," Yugi said quietly. I'm not going to school tomorrow I'm too tired." It's already 7 o'clock. Usually, we've already had dinner and the dishes done by now and we would be cuddling on the couch together watching a movie or playing a game. Yugi pouted.

"I'm sorry aibou how bout I give you a massage before bed?"

"That sounds absolutely wonderful," Yugi said

The nurse had come back with a wheelchair for Yugi and started to push him down the hall and Yami followed closely behind. Yugi was wheeled outside where all of thier friends met them in front of thier car. Yami opened the car door, scooped Yugi up in his arms, and placed him in the car. While they were on thier way home Yugi texted Ryou.

Yugi- Hey

Ryou- Hey what's up? Are you and the baby ok? I mean Atem told us what happened before he came to see you. But I just wanted to be sure.

Yugi- Yea I'm ok just sore. Anyway I need your help we're gonna be home soon and I need to finish this cake for his birthday party tomorrow. So I was wondering if you can text the rest of the gang except Duke and Mai cuz they r out in America somewhere and I don't think they will come. But all I need is for you and the rest of the gang to come over so they can distract Yami while I make his cake and then I'm going to need to lock it in the fridge in the basement until his party so he won't find it. Hopefully, he won't notice the smell but I guess I can bake a bunch of vanilla and chocolate cupcakes to mask the smell of the cake and say I had a cupcake craving. It's not strange. I did that a few weeks ago I made brownies from scratch just because I had a craving for them, and we got cake mix in our house. I just wanted to make Yami's cake from scratch, he deserves it. This is his first birthday with all of us and I want it to be special.

Ryou- That's so sweet Yugi! I'm sure Atem will love the cake and yea I'll text the rest of the gang and ask them to come over. Malik and I will help you in the kitchen while the others distract Atem for a while.

Yugi- Thank you so much Ryou.

Ryou- You're welcome.

Yugi- Oh and before I let you go can you please please pretty, pretty please pick up a few more things for me please?

Ryou- What are you making?

Yugi- It's a dessert from Yami's time called Baklava and it's his absolute favorite so I figured that we can have pizza, cake, and ice cream.

Ryou- You're not making the pizza from scratch are you lol?

Yugi- Haha lol no I'm ordering it from our favorite pizza place downtown. I just found out that they deliver.

Ryou- lol so now when you have a craving poor Atem doesn't have to run all the way to the other side of town for pizza lol.

Yugi- Yea lol I still feel bad about that but at least he wasn't mad. I can honestly say I have the best fiance' in the world.

Ryou- You really do, he worships the ground you walk on. But back to the subject on hand Me and Bakura will head over to the supermarket to get that stuff for you then we will be over Joey and the others are already on their way.

Yugi- Thank you Ryou, you are the best.

Ryou- Your welcome Yugi.

Once they got home Yami carried Yugi from the car into their living room. "Yaammii I can walk ya know.

I know aibou I just like carrying you he smirked at him as he walked out the door to go get the groceries from the car.

Once Yami had gotten everything out of the car he locked it up and walked back into the house. Once everything was put away he sat down next to his aibou, pulled him into his lap, and drew him into a passionate kiss. "I'm so glad you two are ok. I don't know what I would do. I'd be lost if I lost you, either of you for that matter You two are my world little one."

"I know I'm sorry Yami. I'm sorry I went in alone. I should have had you go with me. I seriously thought that with her being pregnant she would leave me alone. Why does she hate me so much? I don't understand. She was one of my best friends at one point." Yugi sobbed into Yami's chest.

Yami held him tight and rubbed his back trying to get him to calm down a little bit. "I know aibou I'm so so sorry if it weren't for me she wouldn't be doing this to you. It's not your fault. Honestly, if she was really your friend at one point then she wouldn't have done the things she's done that's not a friend that's a coward."

"You have plenty of wonderful friends aibou. Look what happened today. All I had to do was text the group's loud mouth and next thing I know every one of our friends is at the hospital asking how you and our little princess are." Yami said making Yugi smile.

"You didn't tell them what we are having right ?"

"No, I didn't little one. I figured you wanted it to be a surprise for now."

Yugi smiled brightly as he turned to his Hikari friends. "Ok, let's get started." They all sat down at the kitchen table helping Yugi get the ingredients and washing each dish and utensil so Yugi didn't put any stress on the baby.

After a while, Yami walked into the kitchen to see what Yugi was up to. Luckily the cake was already cooked and in the basement fridge waiting to be frosted. "Hey aibou what are you making? "Oh hi, Yami I had a craving for homemade cupcakes so I made some."

Yami smiled that sweet smile that was only meant for Yugi as he placed a hand on his aibou's tummy rubbing it gently. "I guess our little one will have a sweet tooth just like their mamma," Yami said as he kissed Yugi sweetly. "Are you willing to share?"

"Yes, Yugi giggled shoving a cupcake to Yami's lips I'm not going to eat 24 cupcakes by myself. I will bring some into the living room for everyone." Yugi said with a sweet little smile.

"Mmm, these are good aibou," Yami said shoving the rest of the cupcake into his mouth.

"I don't know shrimp, I've seen you eat more than Joey at an all-you-can-eat buffet. Are you sure there's only one of the Pharoh's spawn in there? I mean your getting pretty big " Bakura said as he walked into the kitchen.

Yugi's sweet face fell and he started to cry. "I'm a whale!" Yugi cried as Yami picked Yugi up and placed him in his lap comforting him and making sure he was ok.
