Chapter 51
Titans Unlimited
It has been two months since the incident with the demon and the rock band. And during that time, the Titans had been the opposite of 'lazy'. They were coming full force to recruit new potential heroes. They had expanded their team... all across the country and all across the country, these new Titans came.
Each with their own skills and powers. Sure they needed intense training and practice, but they were teams none the less. Currently they had three new teams set up: Titans North, Titans West and Titans East.
And as their name implied, they were responsible for their own corner of the team was lead by at least one member of the original team with members of the New Teen Titan's acting as senior members of the new teams.
And in Jump City was their main tower
We start at Titan's West, not that far outside of Gotham, where a silver and blue jet with a large yellow T symbol on the side landed. The cockpit opened, with Nightwing emerged. He wore a new costume, which shone in the light. Dick was wearing a dark blue armoured costume, open-toed boots for mobility, yellow-edged blue shin-guards that protected his blue kneecaps, small yellow edges on his torso and waist, dark blue gloves with lighter blue finger guards, light blue arm bracers with yellow protrusions, a light blue bird on his chest as his logo, and a dark blue domino mask "Hello Titans." Nightwing spoke as he walked out... and found an empty roof top.
"I guess the team's not here yet?" Raven asked as she walked out of the ship next. Raven was wearing a set of grey pantyhose, atop that being white knee high boots. She wore a white long sleeve leotard, very similar to her original one, with two gem belts that hung from her hips making an X shape. Fingerless white gloves with red gems where on her hands. And finally she had a white ankle length cloak with the hood down. She had some blue eye shadow around her upper eyelids and her hair was still short and spiky with the red steaks in the back
"Seems not. Though they do fly. Maybe they're taking the scenic route." Nightwing answered as Cass walked off the ship.
"Young Justice. Having fun." she said as she got out of the ship, while also helping the two month pregnant Duela off the ship as well
"Thanks, Cass." Duela smiled as she stepped off, showing off her new costume. She wore some shiny dark purple hip-hugger pants, a purple waist coat that she left the top few buttons of undone, a neon green tie and some purple arm sleeves
"Looking good, Duela." Raven commented.
"You said that before." Duela chuckled.
"You pull it off." She gave a small smile as two people began to fly towards them
"They are back." Cassandra said, her new cape flowing in the wind. Cass was wearing a dark blue to black costume with a black cape, a yellow outline of a bat on her chest. The suit was a dark blue that neared black. It covered all of her body besides her head. The bat spread proudly across her chest. Around her waist was a silver belt while she had silver boots and gloves. Her cape was one solid colour, reaching her knees. However unlike her old full face covering mask she now wore a large silver domino mask with bat wing like edges
"Sorry, we're late. We just wanted a sweep of the city." A voice apologised as two figures approached. This was a twelve year old blonde girl going by the title of Wonder Girl. She wore a tight black tee-shirt with Wonder Woman's double W logo on the front, the type you could buy at any store. On top of that was a red jacket, some blue jeans with stars on them and some boots
Next to her was a black-haired and bright-blue eyed pre-teen boy. He was wearing a blue fullbody costume with a red cape and boots with a red-edged yellow pentagon shield on his a chest with an 'S' on it and he also seemed to be 12 years old
"Aren't we missing one?" Duela asked
"Yeah, where's Robin?" Nightwing asked
"Sorry, I'm late. I was seeing the tower." A ten year old boy came up and apologised. He was wearing a dark red armoured shirt costume with black trousers and boots, an 'X' shaped utility belt over his chest with a red 'R' on the clasp and a black domino mask.
"Hey Robin." Cass waved
"Hi, Ca-Batgirl!" Robin waved back excitedly, before catching himself.
"Batwoman." She corrected him and smiled lightly
"Sorry. BatWOMAN." He emphasised.
"Thank you for accepting us, Mr Nightwing, Sir." Cassandra bowed out of respect. Her name was Cassandra Sandsmark, daughter of an archaeologist and Zeus.
"You don't need to keep thanking us Wonder Girl. You three have worked well for the past month." Nightwing assured
"R-Right." Cassandra responded.
"Thanks for giving me a chance." The young Superboy added. This was Connor Kent. The clone/son of Superman, created by a lab called CADMUS. He pulled down the sunglasses he was wearing and giving a small wink to Batwoman...
Cass just frowned at him and punched him in the nose "Have boyfriend. Kid."
"GAH!" he yelled and fell on his backside "She-how?! She got through my force field! How?! My force field is impregnable! I feel so… so… penetrable!"
"Rule one about Batwoman: never mess with Batwoman." Red Robin answered. "Rule two: don't mess with her parents."
"Yeah." Dick smirked proudly at his little brother
"Which is tough, since she has four." Duela joked/stated
"Huh?" Superboy asked, scratching the back of his head. "I know I'm not one to ask but... who?"
"Us two, Oracle and Lady Shiva." Duela counted
"Five. Ivy as well." Cass said suddenly "She and Oracle. Lovers."
"... Whoa." Superboy blinked in realisation. "You're lucky." he said to Nightwing
"Yeah, I am." He nodded, taking Duela's hand. Although he only had one lover, not that he minded "Okay Young Justice. time for some training." Nightwing called

We arrive in Metropolis, one of the great cities of America, home to the famous Superman. But we're not here for him. We're arriving at the newest tower for the new Titans. At the moment this team was the newest, the tower being opened just a week ago. Titans North, nicknamed Team Metropolis, only had two members of the team right now.
James arrived at the tower with a smile, seeing it stand proudly "Wow. It looks amazing." James commented as he held a travel cup of coffee.
"Well it was hard work." Cyberian said from behind him
"I know. Great job with the interiors, Vic." Rose added
Cyberian had been given an upgrade, looking even more sleek and stylish. His feet were white boots with four little blue lights, his legs up to his waist was black, a white ring around his hips and a blue circle on his front, his chest was white with a blue circle in his middle, his arms looked more human but had small cybernetic circuitry lines, he had white forearms with black and blue cybernetics, black hands and a simple black hood.
"The new gear?" James asked
"Yep." He nodded.
"What about me? Don't I look good?" Rose teased as she posed. Rose was wearing a black and blue-silver costume, black armour with silver edges with the silver-blue being her main costume. And finally her mask, her 'pirate bandanna' was redesigned to be black and blue with two ties flowing behind her, all to contrast against her now red skin and all trace of orange was completely gone
"You look great too." James answered. "Ah, here we go."
"That skin stuff still throws me off." Victor commented as Rose' skin had this strange habit of shifting colour
"Yeah, I can't really control that yet. Sorry that it creeps you out, Victor." Rose apologised
"It's fine." Vic assured
"So, who is on this team?" James asked, Vic activating a holo-screen from his arm
"Variant and Firestrorm."

"That's it?" Rose asked
"That's it." Vic nodded
"Not much of a team at the moment." Rose commented.
"We weren't much of a team when we started, Rose." James admitted. "I still remember when Jinx kicked our ass that first time."
"Well it is hard to deal with luck powers." Victor added as they entered the tower
"True." The two answered.
Welcome home, Titans.
A voice spoke as they entered their new base.
"... Did you install that?" James asked, pointing to a speaker.
"I thought it'd be a nice touch." He answered
"FRONT AND CENTER, RECRUITS!" Rose called like a drill Sargent
Both James and Victor flinched at Rose's sudden order, James almost spilling his coffee.
"Coming!" Variant called out, running to see her 'aunt'. There was clanging of metal, the girl rushing into the room in excitement. She had grown a little in the past month, having her hair grown out and gaining an inch in height. Her body completely made out of sleek silver and grey metal plating, outside of her face showing her ebony skin. She also had her long flowing brown hair. The only mechanical aspect of her head was the one robotic eye, her right eye, which glowed a soft blue as well as her chin guard. The only thing that broke up the silver of her main body was a series of small blue lights around her belly button, hips and shoulders "Variant arrived and... and... err... Ready to report!" She responded, giving a childish attempt of a soldier's salute which just had the three snickering softly
"Did I do it wrong?" Variant asked nervously.
"Of course not." Victor shook his head, while giving a headpat to his daughter.
"Heh!" Variant grinned widely and proudly
"Where's Firestorm?" James asked
"Oh, the Professor and Ronnie are in different places. They didn't want to share a room." Variant answered as two men walked into the room
"Forgive our lateness. The lab has amazing equipment inside." An older and distinguished gentleman apologised. He was wearing a tweed jacket, a white button shirt and black trousers, a pair of rectangle frame glasses and greying brown hair.
"Yeah, the Prof wanted to check around. I'm digging the bedrooms." A young man, barely younger than James and Victor added, he had brown hair and eyes, wearing a torn jean jacket and trousers, a red and yellow shirt that looked like an atom or streaking comet.
"And what kept you, Ronnie?" James asked the younger man.
"Calling dibs on a room." He answered, scratching the back of his head. "Don't want to tread on any toes or anything."
"Mine are living metal, so I don't mind." Variant chuckled making Rose facepalm
"Good to have you on the team, Firestorm." Victor responded.
"Thanks." Ronnie said awkwardly
"Thank you very much for having us, James." Professor Stien added
"No worries." James smiled "As of right now, you two... three... two... are the only members of this team. But we are looking into something involving that."
"I hope so. Hey, Professor. You liking the lab?" Ronnie asked
"It was very impressive." he nodded in amazement
"Right, let's do some 'seniority training'." Rose rubbed her hands with a smirk. "Show us what you've got."
"Well Ronald, we better get ready." the professor said as he held out his hand
"Right you are, Prof!" Ronnie nodded and clasped his hand
"Firestorm!" they said as one, encased with light
"Jeez! Still not used to that." James rubbed his eyes as he was seeing spots.
In place of the elderly professor and the youthful rogue, was a tall, red-suited man with a golden atom symbol on his chest, golden boots and burning hands with a crown of fire on top of his head with glowing eyes. "Well? What's first?" Firestorm asked with Ronnie's voice.
*elsewhere*
"Whoa! This is awesome!" Bart jumped about excitedly as he saw their new tower. Clad in his normal yellow suit with red belt, gloves, boots and chest symbol. His brown hair flowing free and ears protected by lightning decorated... Ear protectors... He did not look any different besides growing a bit more. Following him, was Kori and Kom, showing their signs of pregnancy but now in different but comfortable costumes.
Kori was wearing a mainly purple costume, her legs were covered in a purple material with green connectors just above the kneecaps, gold interior thighs, a purple belt-design that went around her hips and up to her neck, a small diamond shape boob-window a purple neck-guard and shoulders with purple fingerless gloves with green gems near the elbow. The suit also expanded, perfect for her 5 month pregnant belly. Which for a Tameranian was about 8 months
And Kom was wearing a black and silver costume, long thigh length boots with diamond-shaped ankle guards, kneecaps and thigh protectors. Black and silver upper-arm length gloves, with silver fingertips and knuckles, silver wristguards with red gemstones, a black and silver bodice with a boob-window to show off her cleavage, red connecting gemstones on her hips and silver collar. Both sisters where equally pregnant and still just as beautiful
"And we've got a new team to train." Kori added
"Memories." Kom smiled proudly
"I heard we've got people from space! How cool is that?" Bart added

"We are aliens, Kid Flash." Blackfire deadpanned
"... I forgot." Bart admitted sheepishly. "You're family, so... I didn't think about it." making them smile
A green light filled the air as a black haired teen landed in front of them "Hey, I'm not late am I?"
"No, Lantern Rayner. It is nice to meet you." Kori nodded, looking at him
The 'Lantern Rayner' had black hair, covered by a green mask, wearing a white and black costume with green bracers and boots, on his left pectoral was a glowing green symbol which looked like a basic lantern symbol. "It's nice to meet my mentors."
"You are actually the first one back." Kori commented
"Really? Wow." Rayner blinked and landed. "Where are they?"
"No idea." Kid Flash shrugged "... Who are we waiting for?"
"Stargirl and Blue Beetle." Blackfire commented, looking at the papers
"I know those two. They're good people." Green Lantern commented
"Well hopefully they don't keep us waiting too long!" Kid Flash whined
"I wouldn't be waiting for too long." Kyle pointed to two incoming flying people.
"What, where they on a date or something?" Blackfire joked as they landed
"Sorry we are late." a blonde haired 16 year old apologized. She had rather small curves and was wearing a blue long sleeve shirt that stopped before her stomach, a single large white star over her shirt. She had white and blue shorts which stopped halfway down her thighs and ankle high boots. Her body was toned, showing she was athletic like a dancer or a runner maybe even a swimmer. Her upper face was hidden by a large blue mask connected to her shirt and she had short wrist length red gloves. In her hands was a strange golden staff, literally as tall as she was
"We lost track of time." The second figure added, he was wearing a blue and black insect-styled armour that covered his entire body, yellow eyes and a strange insect on his back.
"Realy? What where you doing?" Starfire asked innocently
"... Getting pizza." The girl, Stargirl, admitted.
"Was it a date?" Kid Flash joked
"No!" Both Stargirl and Blue Beetle answered together with big blushes
"Oh?" Kom grinned "I think this requires a lot of talking."
"No thanks!" The two answered
Blue Beetle was muttering something under his breath, something in Spanish
"I'm sorry, what was that?" Bart asked
"Leave him alone." Kori encouraged
'Thank goodness I kept my mouth shut on that.' Kyle thought, since his Lantern Ring allowed him to instantly translate what Blue Beetle said.
"Hey, why don't we go inside?" Kori suggested
*at the main tower*
"Wow. Looks like I'm 'the leader' here." Garfield joked nervously.
BANG!
"Ow..." he muttered, falling to the ground. He and a few others were still at Jump, in their main tower
"You okay, Changeling?" Jinx asked as she helped him up after dropping the bucket that was currently on his head for the leader remark
"Yeah, I'm fine." he nodded. He was wearing a white and red sleeveless suit with a decent amount of padding, his hair having grown out into a slight mullet
Jinx however was wearing low-thigh high black boots with a purple under-suit for her trousers, a dark purple long-sleeved and gloved shirt with two lace 'V's on her torso and a clasp on her chest with a purple and interior pink bat-wing styled cape. And tied around her hair horns were two black-purple threads.
The tower had also became very advanced, becoming a new and hyper advanced tower which was the most advanced place on the entire planet
"James and Vic did a great job; didn't they?" Garfield commented as there where now a series of large coaches, several massive screens, some holographic interfaces and more
"Thank god you saved up, right?" Jinx joked.
"Yep." He nodded. "And I've been reading the manuals."
"Hey guys." Tara called as she walked in. Tara was wearing a red and yellow costume, red boots, yellow thigh costume with a red torso area, yellow gloves with a circle symbol with red edges reminiscent of glowing yellow light and her hair was slightly braided.
"Hey, Tara." The two responded
"Find your room okay?" Jinx asked
"Right next to James'? Yep." she smiled
"I hope the new team can find this place easy enough." Jinx commented
"How could they not? We're a giant 'T' on the middle of an island." Garfield commented
"Yeah. But we need to do these interviews." Karen added as she regrew, sitting stop a TV
Karen had regrown and showed off her new costume, black trousers and boots with yellow markings, a yellow utility belt with hexagon pouches, a black crop-top with prominent yellow markings that looked like a 'V' that went around her chest and under her neck, yellow arm bracers with black gloves with electrical circles on her palms, diamond shape visor glasses and finally cybernetic nearly see-through bee wings.
"True." Garfield nodded. Jinx and Karen where in charge of the final tower, which still hadn't finished construction, with Aqualad as their help
"Where is Garth, anyway?" Jinx wondered.
"Making sure the island isn't too top-heavy." Karen responded.
"Oh, right." Jinx nodded in understanding
"Should I go and help out?" Gar suggested.
"Nah, we need you up here. You read the manuals." Jinx answered

"Oh, that's probably the installers. Coming!" Garfield called out and went to the door. He turned into a hawk, zooming through the building as fast as he could before he came to a stop at the front door "Oof. Stuck the landing." He chuckled and opened the door. "He-llo... You're the new team." He opened the door and saw the three teens before him
First was a young blonde haired teen, about sixteen years old, wearing a red full-body costume, yellow bracers and cloak with a yellow arrow-head on her chest. On her back was also a quiver filled with arrows and a bow.
Next was a young man, about sixteen himself, with red hair, green eyes, freckles and sporting a green jacket with a white button shirt, blue jeans and sneakers.
And lastly was an African American young man, about seventeen, black dreadlock hair, wearing blue trousers and boots with yellow markings on them a black armoured shirt with a lightning bolt in a circle, a blue exterior and yellow interior hooded duster coat, a white domino mask and a pair of blue goggles.
"Hey, nice to meet you." The African-American young man waved with a kind smile "Names Static!"
"I'm Phantasm." The freckled boy smirked cockily.
"My name's 'Speedy'." The girl answered
"Well, nice to meet you all. I'm Changeling." Garfield introduced himself.
"What's with the mullet?" Phantasm asked
"Gah!" Garfield flinched as he felt his ego got shot "This thing is cool!"
"Thirty years ago maybe." Phantasm jeered as Garfield got to his knees in defeat upon hearing that.
"Now that's not nice, Danny." Speedy responded. "I'm sorry for his rudeness, Sir. Are you 'Mr Garth'?"
"Huh? No, Garfield. I'm one of the older Titans."
"My name is Garth, Garth of Atlantis." A voice said from behind them. Garth was now dressed in a more detailed version of his older costume. Silver belt design and left shoulder-guard, dark black and blue fish-scaled designed armour with exposed toes for his feet.
"Ah, Garth. You're back. Well. This is your team. Bumblebee and Jinx are inside." Garfield got back up.
"Wow..." Speedy muttered with a blush as she looked at the Atlantian
"Pleasure to meet you." Garth bowed out of respect.
"Why don't we show you around. This will be your home after all." Garfield spoke up.
"Do we get our own rooms?" Danny asked
"Of course." The two senior Titans answered as they went inside.
"For now at least. Our tower is still under construction." Jinx added
"Whoa. Hello~." Danny looked on in shock.
"Easy there, boys." Karen answered "We're taken. And your teachers."
'Darn.' Danny frowned.
"You're, Jinx and Bumblebee; right?" Speedy asked respectfully
"Yes we are. And we've heard about you from Green Arrow. Real cool." Jinx nodded
"Guess I haven't made a big a splash as you then." Static chuckled awkwardly as he turned to Speedy.
"Actually." Terra responded "You caught our attention all by yourself."
"Ah, this is Terra. Your final Teacher." Garth introduced her.
"A-"
"I'm taken too." Terra answered simply.
"Fuck!"
"I'm sorry about Phantasm. He's a good guy, really. You just...have to get to know him." Static admitted
"A lovable jerk? Yeah we have a few of those." Garfield joked
"C'mon. Let's show you the island to get your bearings." Tara offered

The kids were excited to have their own rooms in the tower, seeing the sights of their new location... though Robin was a little homesick. Luckily this tower was literally JUST outside of Gotham with a nearby tunnel leading directly to the BatCave... It was the only way to get Batman to agree, considering Tim was still in the early phases of training and BatDad was in full protection mode
The three kids, alongside the Grayson family, where in the living room of the tower, which WonderGirl was amazed by "I can't believe how close we are to Gotham." WonderGirl commented, seeing the city before them.
"Well, don't get too comfy, we've got training and sweeps of the city." Nightwing added before the doors opened and a familiar dark figure walked into the room.
It was Batman.

"Dad! /Grandpa!" Tim and Cass cheered as they two rushed over and hugged him
Batman smiled and hugged back, kneeling down to their level. "I see you've gotten here alright."
"Ba-buh-bah-bah-bat..." WonderGirl muttered in shock as she saw him "Batman!"
"Hello, there." Batman spoke respectively.
"Ah~." WonderGirl fell backwards onto the floor.

"... Is she okay?" Tim asked
"I think she's overwhelmed. Diana may have hyped me up to her a bit too much." Bruce answered
"I'm guessing you haven't seen the news?" Superboy joked
"What news?" Duela asked
"The news hypes up Batman big time. Especially outside of Gotham." Superboy explained
"You haven't-?" Dick asked his adoptive father.
"No, I haven't bought news on myself." Bruce rolled his eyes.
"It is the news. You know 'who is the Batman?', 'the powerless hero who protects the worst city in the US', 'the silent guardian who stops the most psychopathic murderers'. Plus talk shows, gossip and so on." Superboy explained
"There's been talk shows?" Duela double took.
"How could you not know?" Superboy asked
"We've been busy with life." She answered "Plus we kinda don't... watch that stuff."
"Ah. No trash tv, gotcha." Superboy nodded "... Why is Batman here though?"
"Well we Titans do have our own team and city to look after." Nightwing commented "You guys are your own teams. We are your mentors. And members of the justice league and other heroes have volunteered to help train you."
"R-Really?" Cassie got back up as she heard that.
"Yep." Duela nodded
"Then that means, Wonder Woman might come here." Cassie answered
"That's right." Batman nodded making Cassie squeal happily
"I wonder if the others are having this much fun?" Duela chuckled
*with James and team Metropolis*
"Well. This escalated quickly." James quipped as he saw Firestorm flying in the air and transformed a bunch of their equipment into random household objects.
"Sorry! We'll put them back to normal!" Firestorm apologised as he dodged lasers.
Variant, meanwhile, had both of her arms in the forms of guns and she looked a little top-heavy with the guns. She was firing the guns skilfully however as she jumped around and dodged
"That's it, Skarlet. You can do it!" Victor cheered as he clapped, almost coming off as if helping her keep time to an invisible song
"He's a good dad; isn't he?" Rose asked
"He is. Oof! Ow. That's taken him out." James nodded, before he saw Firestorm slam into a moving hand that knocked him out. Rose nodded before she looked to the side... And pushed James away
A sword came swinging down, stabbing into the ground
"Thanks." James called out, relieved that he didn't get cleaved in half as Deathstroke now stood before the Titans Metropolis
"Daddy?" Rose gasped
"YOU!" Slade glared, pointing his blade at James.
"...Oh nuts." He gulped

"Congratulations Ross." Slade said a second later, standing tall
"Oh~, thanks, Daddy!" Rose got up and hugged her father.
'Am? Am I dead? I've got to be dead right?' James thought as a second figure emerged from the shadows, a young and shy boy
"Who's that?" Variant asked kindly as her hands turned back to normal and Victor stopped the simulation.
It was a blonde haired boy, wearing clothing similar to Slade's
"My son, Joseph." Slade explained
The young boy waved at the group, looking a little timid and kept his mouth shut.
"Hello." Variant waved
Joseph moved his hands in careful and understandable motions.
"What did he just do?" Rose asked as she saw her brother
"He said 'Hello, it is nice to meet you'." Slade interpreted.
"He's mute?" James asked in shock.
"... yes." Slade said guiltily
"Hi Joseph. I'm your sister." Rose smiled, getting to a position where she looked eye to eye with Joseph... and Joseph suddenly became what looked like a ghost, dashing into Rose
"Rose!" James gasped
"What happened?!" Victor glared at Slade
"It's his power. He has the ability to possess people." Slade answered. "Joseph? Rose?" He asked his daughter, thinking he can get through to either.
"Hello father." Rose said her voice sounding... distorted, her body language entirely different
"Son?" Slade asked as he heard Rose's voice, but it sounded overlapped with a young boy's.
"... What's exactly going on?" Firestorm squeaked to the voice in his head. "Oh...I'll just play dead." He whispered
"Why are you two here?" Vic asked
"Father saved me. Ever since Brother Blood killed our mother and took Rose into his school, I was held by a sect of Trigon followers. They were trying to use my psychic abilities to help strengthen their god." Joseph explained
"Thy. Did. What?" James held back his profanities but his anger was seeping out making 'Rose' back up in fear. James realised what he sounded like and backed off. "Sorry. I'm not mad at you. I'm mad at-" He tried to explain.
"It's alright, Joseph. Remember when I came to save you? How angry I was?" Slade spoke in a fatherly tone.
"Yes." he nodded
"James is like that. Angry at the people, not you. It's alright." Slade reassured him.
"No offence but why is he here?" Vic asked
"Because I trust you to watch my son than myself." Slade answered honestly "You are going to make him a Titan."
"What?" The group asked in shock.
'Just play dead, just play dead, just play dead!' Firestorm thought, panicking while Slade was there.
"Sure. We'll look after and train Joseph." James answered "I think he will fit perfectly for Team Metropolis."
"Thank you. Oh. And congratulations, Rose." Slade answered "On the engagement."
"Sister is getting married?" Joseph asked, still inside Rose' body
"Yeah, that's right." James nodded "To me."
"Wow... And you are handsome. She is lucky."
"Thanks... Can you get out of Rose, please?" James asked nervously to his future brother-in-law. For both said brother-in-law seemingly flirting with him while also just seeing his lover acting so strangely
"Okay." Joseph said as he seemed to just... 'walk out' of Rose's body
Rose shook her head as she regained her senses, though she did have a recollection of what Joseph did "I... wow... just... wow that was... strange... so strange."
"I am sorry about that. He just wanted to speak to you since he has not mastered his telepathy and he knows that you do not understand sign language." Slade explained, sheathing his sword. He turned to James and frowned a bit "You kids better look after him. I had to slaughter a *bot of Trigon worshipers to save him."
"Okay. But you need to explain to us about his speaking problem soon." James added, freely giving the younger boy space
*with the Twins and Team Space*
"Very good Lantern Kyle, very good." Kori clapped as the rookie Lantern used a cartoonish shield to literally bounce back Beetle's attacks
"Wha-hey, knock that off!" Beetle seemed to snap at himself, dodging the blasts
"Dude, it's training." Kyle responded
"Not you!"
"Huh?" Kyle blinked
"That suit still being annoying Jaime?" Stargirl asked
"Yeah." he nodded
"I have to admit, I am shocked you can control Reach tech so well." Kom commented

"What's Reach tech?" Beetle blinked
"A race of aliens who are intergalactic conquerors. They have been vying for total control for years. But they were at a stalemate with the Lanterns and both sides signed a treaty. But they got around that, claiming ignorance when they started sending those things to planets. 'Scarabs', they latch themselves into the spine of their host and take control. But somehow, you're in control, Jaime." Kom and Kori explained
"They work under the process of 'slow invasion'. Setting up am infiltration unit to get into a position of power. Then the Reach arrive and get in the civilisations good graces, slowly poisoning the species with chemicals that work as mind alterants. Then after several decades, maybe a century or two, they force a cataclysm that puts the race they are invading on the brink, only for the Reach to come in and be the 'oh so kind saviours'." Kom explained with a roll of her eyes, clearly disgusted by them "They just need a 'little help'. And with the chemicals they introduced to the invaded species over so long truly seeping into their genetics they get a willing slave force."

Jaime's legs buckled out from under him. He was...An 'invader'? His Scarab was part of those horrible aliens? "What the hell Scarab?!" He snapped and Scarab responded to Jaime via their connection. "You can't just feign ignorance on this! They made you! You're a part of this! Get off of me!" He tried to grab his Scarab off his back, trying to yank it off.
BEEP BOOP
"Don't remember? What are you talking about?! And who's Dan Garret? I thought Ted Kord was the previous Blue Beetle!"
"Kinda wish we could talk to it." Kori commented
"Agreed." Kom nodded
Kid Flash was sat down, watching in fascination
"Jaime..." Stargirl said sadly
*main Titans Tower*
"So... Static." Terra said as they were in a room by themselves, holding a clipboard and a pen "What are your powers?"
"Well, I have electrokinesis, electrical discharge and a form of levitation." Static answered. "Can I demonstrate?"
"Of course." She nodded.
Static grabbed something from his bag, a metal dish that seemed to be a modified dustbin lid, as he stood on it, his hands and eyes began to spark with electricity and let him levitate a foot or two off the ground. He then levitated the chair he was currently sitting on and effortlessly lifted that. "I'd do the 'Static Bolt's too but... I don't want to fry any circuitry."
"I'd like to see you try and fry our circuitry." she smirked
Static chuckled awkwardly, not knowing if she was serious or not. "Err. Is there anything else you could let me fry. I don't want to cause a shut-down or anything."
"I'm serious." she said simply
Static gulped and nodded, powering up his electrical bolts...and shot outwards, hitting the room's walls, making sure not to hit Tara and the lights increased in brightness, but nothing else happened
"Impressive." She said, taking notes
"So... what happened? Usually when that happens-." Static tried to figure out.
"We've got failsafes. And failsafes for failsafes." Tara answered. "Basically you gave the tower an extra..." she quickly looked at her board and nodded "An extra two days of power with our current charge. Impressive."
"... Is that good?" He asked
"It's definitely good." She nodded.
"I wonder how the others are going on." Static wondered
*with Jinx*
"You go by... Phantasm, correct? Son of two FBI agents?" Jinx asked
"That's correct." Danny nodded. "Best ones in my opinion." He smirked
"And your powers?"
"My powers are telekinesis. But I do have a genius-level intellect and I'm proficient in many levels of espionage." He responded... which sounded like bragging, which was taken note of "I can show you if you want." Danny offered, confidently.
"Show me what?" she asked
"What I can do. My telekinesis." He answered, as he began to lift up Jinx and the chairs and the tables with ease.
"I see." Jinx hummed, but quickly realised what he was trying to do and clicked her fingers
"GAH!" Danny yelled as one of his chair legs broke and he fell over "Ow! The hell?" He groaned while Jinx easily landed on her feet as her chair landed
"Bad luck." she commented, knowing he had tried to sneak a peek at her underwear
'Shoot.' He thought. 'She saw through me.'
"But I will admit, your intelligence stuff is intriguing." Jinx admitted
"Really?"
"Yes, knowing what our enemies will do, how to plan around that, halting plans before they come to fruition. It's important. Lives can be saved and stakeouts can be more fruitful. A man on the inside." Jinx explained
"Thanks." He grinned
"So, how are your physical abilities?" Jinx asked
*In Karen's room*
The Bumblebee was taking note on Speedy's skills.
"Very good." she nodded, making notes on her paper "As skilled as Green Arrow said you were."
"Thank you, miss. I've tried to improve each day." She admitted with a bow
"Now, tell me. Do you have any health issues?" Karen commented
"... Oh..." Speedy said, looking down almost in shame
"It's alright, you can tell me. It's so we know what we can do for you." Karen answered reassuringly.
"... I... am HIV positive." Mia admitted bitterly
Karen double-took and lowered her hands. "I'm so sorry."
"I... use to be a prostitute." she began "I ran away from my abusive father and got caught up in something... terrible. I don't think I need to explain what happened. And... I contracted it."
"Okay. Okay, thank you for telling me." Karen answered. "We'll contact the hospital so you can have your medicine."
"Thank you." she muttered
"And James and Victor are already looking into cures for these diseases, they will keep a close eye on you." she assured
"R-Really? They are?" Speedy asked, tears forming in her eyes as she heard that.
"Well, this is a terrible disease after all." she nodded
Speedy fell to her knees and began to weep tears of joy as she was given this hope "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
"Hey, hey." Karen said as she knelt down and held Speedy's chin softly "Calm down. No crying now."
Speedy sniffed gently at that, stopping herself from crying "O-Okay. I'll. I'll stop crying." And wiped her tears.
"Huh?" Karen blinked, shocked at how quickly that happened
"Thank you, Miss Bumblebee." Speedy responded with a smile, feeling much better.
"I-Okay?"
"I-I should get back to listing my strengths, right?" She asked
"Y-Yes." she nodded. This was going to be a long day...
