Chapter 52
Meeting The New Teams
It had been a few hours later since the team had introduced themselves, with some of them having come out of their breakdowns.
"You feeling better, Jaime?" Stargirl asked as she rubbed his back.
"Yeah, I think so." He nodded. He was sat on the roof, the black and blue full head mask having retracted and revealing his face. He was a handsome young man, brown-tanned skin with black hair and brown eyes.
'He really is cute.' Stargirl thought "You want to talk about it?" she asked
"Oh, Stargirl. I... I dunno. All that I've known about this guy, it's a lie... No, not a lie. More, it just makes sense." Jaime responded "I was probably a bit stupid, thinking it was just luck I randomly got super powers and there here no downside. Right? Just a stupid kid who got in over his head because he happened to find a weird blue... thing on the ground."
"You know, I think that's how many teens get their powers." Stargirl answered
"Huh?"
"Well, some people get their powers from hard work and tenacity, like Batman. Some are born with them naturally, like Superman. Us? We're in the third category. Finding something that gives them powers. We don't know what they were originally built for, but... we can use them to do what's right." She answered. Stargirl held her staff carefully, Courtney looking to the sky
"Is Kyle like us too? What am I saying? He's a Lantern. Of course, he is." Jaime asked before retracting his comment.
"Literally. Ring just flew down and shoved itself in my face." the Lantern laughed from behind
"Gah! Okay. When did you get here?" Jaime asked as he turned around.
"... Five minutes ago?"
"Right." Jaime sighed "... No, I'm not going to-Just, calm down." He told his Scarab.
"What did it say?" Courtney asked
"He asked if he could attack Kyle, he felt threatened by him." Jaime answered. "Guess the whole revelation has put us all on edge."
"Must be the Reach/Lantern thing. My Ring is giving me so many warning flags." Kyle explained
"You know I realised something else." Courtney smiled "We are more than just 'the space team'... we are 'Team Legacy'."
"'Team Legacy'? What do you mean?" Jaime asked. "Is this because of Ted Korg and... Like, the Lantern Corps?"
"Yeah. And I am the successor of an old hero called The Star-Spangled Kid, who is my Step Father was the side kick of back in the old days. The Star-Spangled Kid eventually died... I found his equipment and took over. As well as gaining the Cosmic Rod." Courtney smiled "I am the second Star-Spangled Kid, Stargirl. Jaime is the, apparently at least, third Blue Beetle. And.. well... there is that entire Corps of Green Lanterns."
"Yeah, I guess that makes sense." Jaime responded. They where going to be a real interesting team
*Elsewhere*
James was alone outside the Tower... or rather he was outside facing down Slade, the two ready to spar
"Ready?" Slade asked, drawing two swords
James nodded, ready to transform if needed "So... what is the story about Joey?" James asked, catching the sword that Slade passed him
"Joseph. Don't give him a nickname." Slade glared.
"Sorry. Just trying to make conversation." James apologised.
"It's not a pretty story." Slade answered, lunging forward at him.
"Well I need to know." James pointed out
CLASH!
"Okay. Fine." He answered, clashing blades with James. "He's Rose's little brother. But from my first wife."
"... Ah. Had an affair to have Rose." James nodded, blocking the next slash
"Yes." He hissed "He was kidnapped when he was younger. I thought I was fast enough. And I was... Barley. He survived the knife that was held against his throat, but it had been close enough that it cut his vocal cords."
"I'm sorry to hear that, Slade." James responded, parrying the oncoming blade.
"If you have kids. When you have kids. You'll have to make the hard but right choice." Slade answered
"I hope I can." James said in worry, thinking about his pregnant lovers
Slade hummed gently as his response, going in for a lunge, but with his free hand, feinting a punch to James' stomach. James raised his leg, kicking Slade's knee out and just absolutely throwing the attempt out, neutralizing the attack/event. Slade grunted as he hit the floor, but quickly got back up using the momentum of the fall. "You've gotten better these last few months."
"Yeah, better than you now." James joked "Hey, so... What is with Joseph? I mean is he... You know..."
"What?" Slade frowned
"Gay?" James shrugged "Nothing against it but he kinda said I was attractive while in his sisters body and... Just kinda want to know the situation."
"No. He is not gay." Slade rolled his eye "But he is not straight either."
...
"What?"
"He's just... Quiet. Perceptive." He responded. "He does not see gender. Since he can just pass between bodies."
"Huh. Guess that makes sense." James realised. "So when he was in Rose he saw me as 'attractive' because of Rose's feelings for me."
"That's one way to put it." Slade nodded and struck out at James; James barely deflecting the blade with how close it got to him "However he will fall in love with a person and not their bodies. He is a... Weird mix of asexual and pansexual. I don't understand this stuff honestly, I just get what he has told me about it."
"Okay. That's got to be the weirdest power for a kid to have." James commented
"He is fourteen." Slade explained "I believe this will make him the most sympathetic person around there."
"I thought he was younger. Sorry." James apologised.
"He got his height from me." Slade admitted
"... Not going to even joke about that." James answered making Slade scoff "What? I'm serious."
"You're stance is a joke right now." He answered
James smirked and span his sword "You sure about that?"
"Heh." Slade smirked back and stuck once again.
*Inside the tower*
Joseph was sitting quietly with his sister. She was holding his hand, looking at him in amazement. She... she didn't remember him, even though she was apparently there since he was a baby "You must know something about me, right?" Rose asked gently with Joseph nodded calmly and simply Rose tried to think of something, anything to say "Was? What? No... Was I... nice?" She asked timidly.
Joseph began to sign, making Rose groan. She would have to learn this, maybe Megan could help
"I can't. I'm sorry. I don't understand." Rose frowned as she felt useless. Her own brother... and she couldn't even understand him.
Joseph stopped... and reached up, holding her cheeks. He nodded her head softly as he smiled at her
Rose's eye welled up as she saw that. She was a good sister. A small tear streaked down her cheek before she hugged him. "Thank you." She whispered as she stroked his head. She pulled him into a hug, rubbing her back softly
Scarlet was silent as she was seeing this, feeling overwhelmed with emotion... she wanted to hug someone too and so she hugged Firestorm, who was standing next to her
"Err...Okay." He commented and hugged back
'Just let her have this, Ronald. There's no harm in it.' Profesor Steins' voice responded in his disembodied form.
"I guess..." he blinked
Victor was frowning from the doorway, his red eye glowing
"Thanks for the hug." Scarlet answered, letting go of Firestorm.
"Welcome." he squeaked a bit
"Hi daddy." Scarlet smiled as she hugged her father.
"Hey Scarlet." he nodded "Is all of your systems working properly?"
"Yeah. They're fine." She nodded. "I was just happy."
"What do you want to do now?" he encouraged softly
"Hmm... Learn sign language. I want to translate for Joseph." She answered
"Ah." He nodded, knowing she had some trouble with language lessons
"I thought maybe I could be his voice while he's here." She added
"That's my girl." he smiled proudly
*Elsewhere*
"So, you can beat anyone?" Superboy asked Cass, to which she nodded. "Okay. So if I threw a punch at you; you'd kick my teeth in before I'd hit the floor." Again, Cass nodded. "...You sound badass." He smirked
"Am." she nodded casually
"Seems like she's making friends." Duela smiled as she sat next to Dick.
"Hmm. I can actually relax a little now." Dick answered
"I wonder. Would WonderGirl and Cass be good sparring partners?" Duela thought
"What do you mean?" Dick asked curiously
"Well, how would Cass do against an Amazon? Would Cassie manage to fight and improve from our daughter who can read body language?" Duela answered
"It is most definitely an interesting idea." Dick smiled
"Speaking of, where has she gone?" Duela wondered
"Not sue." Dick shrugged as we zoom through the tower
Cassie was up on the roof, looking over the city that the Tower was protecting. Besides her was Tim, the Little Robin looking at her and the skyline in equal wonder "It's a big city, right?" Tim commented
"It is. I just hope I'm up to the task" Cassie answered
"I'm sure you are. My brother's a great judge of character." Tim smirked "He wouldn't let you on the team if you couldn't do it."
"You're too kind, Robin." Cassie answered. "I do wonder though." She muttered
"Wonder what?" the younger hero asked, tilting his head softly
"I wonder if we'll be up to the task." She answered
"Well. It's only day one. I'm certain we're going to get better over time." Tim answered "... say, how strong are you?"
"I'm... Quite strong. I wouldn't say 'ridiculously strong'. But I can manage." She answered humbly.
"Okay." Tim nodded before he added "You need to stop sitting so close to the TV. You are already squinting."
"Huh? I am?" She asked in shock, touching her face lightly and picturing herself wearing glasses 'Could be a good look.' she admitted to herself
*Elsewhere*
We arrive back at the main tower, where the three new recruits where running an obstacle course that the original Titan's designed. It was a dirt track around the island, with normal hurdles and low level threats to test their physical capabilities but also their adaptability
"That's it, guys. You've got this!" Tara called out. "Danny, no using your powers."
"What?!"
"This is entertaining." Garfield laughed
"Yeah, 'cause you're not running it." Jinx commented
"So?" He responded, getting some popcorn "These newbies are hilarious."
"Hup!" Mia leapt over some of the obstacles with ease.
THUD!
"Ow!" Danny groaned as he fell face first into the sand.
"You okay man?" Static asked, passing him
"Yeah. Great. Just fine." Danny answered, getting back to his feet. He huffed and followed the others, doing his best to keep pace
"They're doing well for newbies." Garth commented
"Popcorn?" Garfield asked, passing over a bag.
"Please." the Atlantian nodded
"How long do we have to do this for?" Virgil asked as he ducked under a trap.
"Another three laps." Terra informed
"Urgh!" Danny groaned
"I can do it easily." Mia smirked
"Shouldn't have skipped leg day." Virgil joked
"Come on Danny, you can do it!" Bumblebee encouraged, trying to be a good teacher and no one noticing how her voice seemed to echo near the end
"I. I can. I can do this!" Danny got back up and pushed himself, still in last place, but getting better, keeping up with Mia and Virgil.
"Wow, he has a second wind." Jinx commented
"Yeah. Wow, you've got some good pep-talk, Karen." Garfield smiled.
Karen nervously chuckled as she began to realise... this was the second time it's happened. This wasn't a coincidence 'No... this couldn't be.' she thought
'Oh, but it could. You're encouraging them, helping them with your powers.' Queen Bee spoke in her head
'Shut up!' Karen thought
"Are you alright?" Garth asked Karen. "Do you need a drink?"
"Huh?" Karen looked at them. "Oh, yeah. A drink would be great. Could you get me some water?"
"No problem. Water coming up." Garth and Garfield got up to go get some water.
...
"What was that?" Jinx asked
"No idea." Karen lied casually
"Hah, hah, hah. F-Finished." Danny panted heavily as Virgil helped him up.
"Nicely done man." Static smiled
"Yeah, good work." Speedy praised
"Thanks... I need to work on leg-day." Danny joked.
"Hey, it's what teams are for buddy." Static assured
Danny, Virgil and Mia laughed together, growing as a team.
"Here you go, Karen." Both Garth and Garfield passed her two trays of water.
*Elsewhere*
Back with Team Space, Titan's East, Bart returned in a blur of yellow and red carrying dinner for the group "Hey, take-away's are here!" Kid Flash called
"Didn't we just place this order?" Kori asked making Kid Flash smirk
"Never underestimate the speed of a speedster." Kori commented afterwards with a smile
"Hmm~, sweet and sour. That's mine." Kom licked her lips "Where is the pickles?"
"Oh yeah, pregnant." Bart answered. "Here." He passed them over.
"Oooh, this looks good." Jaime smiled as he took his food
"Should do, best Chinese meals in the city." Kori spoke up "... At least, that's what their slogan says."
"Yay." Stargirl rolled her eyes, taking her pizza
"How's the pizza?" Kyle asked
"Hmm." She nodded as she ate "Tastes good."
Kyle nodded, taking his own food from the mass collection
"Whoa; what did you get?" Bart asked
"Quite a bit, actually." Kyle joked
"Huh." Bart blinked, eating
"Never mind." Kyle answered, sitting down next to his team.
"So, what's next after dinner?" Stargirl asked
"Usually bed. It's been a long day." Kom answered. "Can't be heroes if we abuse our bodies."
"So no late night stuff?" Kyle asked
"We're pregnant, so we can't stay up too long." Kori answered
"Yeah, okay, that makes sense."
*Elsewhere*
"So... Why should we call him?" Firestorm asked as Team Metropolis where in their 'calm room' "I mean he is gonna need a code name."
"I am unsure." Professor Stein answered
Rose hummed, rubbing her brothers hair soothingly as she thought 'What can I call your codename?' She thought gently.
Joseph slept in Rose's arms as she held him. Just happy to see her again.
James was relaxing against the wall and smiling at the sight. It was just... nice to see Rose so happy. He sighed heavily and closed his eyes, thinking "Jericho."
"Sorry?" Rose and Firestorm asked
"Why not 'Jericho'?" James clarified.
"Jericho?" Variant asked
"Why that name?" Firestorm asked
"I think it sounds cool." James explained. "... I'm not the best when coming up with names."
"We know." Victor, Rose and Slade deadpanned
"You couldn't have sugar-coated it?" James frowned
"No." The three responded immediately making him lower his head in shame
"But you're a heck of a Titan, that's a plus for you." Rose answered with a teasing wink
James chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck gently "I guess." he nodded
"Time for me to get back to work." Slade commented
"Not off to kill people again; are you?" Victor asked
"Might have a contract or two in my travels." he shrugged
Joseph looked up at his father and signed a question.
"No, don't worry. They're bad people." He answered, reassuring his son "But I am going on a search around the planet. We need to stop that Trigon fucker after all."
...
"Yes, I know that was a bad word." Slade apologised since he understood his son's signing. He ruffled his sons hair softly, looking down at him with a shiny joy "Keep them safe, Tennyson." Slade warned James.
"I promise." He nodded, as the assassin left.
*Elsewhere*
We are back at the main tower as the new recruits where exhausted "Urgh. Too tired." Danny flopped onto his bed exhausted. He was amazed at the room but too tired to think about that much 'Man, this room is great... too tired to think.' He thought as he flopped onto his pillow and yawned. 'This isn't too bad though. Lots of attractive ladies.'
In Static's room, he was putting up a couple of pictures before he went to bed, one with him and a friend of his and also a picture of his family "I'm doing good Mum." he smiled proudly at a picture "I promise I'll make you proud." Some Lightning sparked around his fingers as he smiled hopefully at the picture. He knew he could do this. He put the picture back on the bedside table and tucked himself to sleep "Ah~, night." he said to himself
In Mia's room, she was hanging her bow on its own hook with her quiver, keeping in mind about what Karen said. 'James and Victor are finding the cure for AIDS.' She knew it wasn't likely. Or that it would happen soon. However... Just the fact they'd try and find a way to cure her HIV meant so much.
It felt like a dream come true.
To finally have hope
She pulled out the pillow and hugged it like a cuddly toy, just happy to have this hope once again 'Thank you Titans.' she thought
In other bedrooms, the group were getting ready to go to bed "These recruits are good." Jinx commented
"Yeah, I agree. I think they'll go far." Karen nodded as the two where changing into their underwear/sleepwear
"How're you feeling since this morning?" Jinx asked as she slipped into bed.
"What do you mean?" Karen asked
"You looked a little off." Jinx answered
"I'm fine." Karen assured. Jinx just nodded sadly and waited in bed for her, it wasn't fair to try and force it out of her. They where lovers, this stuff came out in its own time when you trust each other.
In the ocean, Garth was sleeping on his own bed... a sea bed. He stretched out softly, looking to the sky 'What a day. Still... Why did I become compulsive to do what Karen did?' He thought... No, it was just him being nice. He was sure "I'm over-thinking things." He sighed gently and fell to sleep with his fish friends. And his dreams where filled by his queen
*Elsewhere, time skip, next day*
"Morning." Dick smiled as he woke up next to Duela.
"Morning." the three month pregnant clown girl smiled
"Sleep well?" He asked, rubbing her stomach.
"Hmm." She nodded. "Feels nice having our own bed here."
"Hey Terry." Dick whispered happily to her stomach, kissing his wife
"You never know, he might be the best of both worlds." Duela teased
"Oh?" Dick smiled
"Your looks and talents, my sense of humour. It'll be a good match." She added
"Hey, I'm funny." Dick said, pretending to be offended
"Your adoptive dad is known to have a permanent scowl." She teased.
"So?" he huffed
"Boop." She smirked and booped his nose playfully.
"Hey don't boop me without permission, that's Boop-asault!" Dick joked
"Boop, boop." She smirked as she did it twice.
"Hey!" he wined "I should call the cops on you for all these permissionless boops!"
"Then boop me back." She laughed
"Boop." he grinned and poked her boob
"Oh! Playing right for the big ones!" Duela gasped and 'fainted' making him laugh
Outside Cass was helping Tim with some early morning training "Ready?" Cass asked as she saw her youthful uncle.
"Rea-yawn-dy." Tim nodded before he let out a yawn.
Cass chuckled with a smile, getting into a fighting position. Tim shook his head to wake himself up and got ready. He knew Cass could read his body like a book, but he had to try. This was training after all. She was teaching him how to fight. And what better way to learn then to be instructed by a person you can not hit
Tim's fist launched forward, aiming to hit Cass in the side, trying not to hurt her too hard. Even though she was his teacher, she was still family. Cass' job was dodging and blocking, teaching Tim how best to fight with his body 'Doing good. Needs to be better.' She thought as she blocked and twisted his body around "Widen stance." she instructed
"R-Right." Tim turned around, doing as she said and widened his stance, trying his best to keep up with her training.
"Extend your leg higher, push your weight the other way." Cassandra continued, the family working together. Tim giving her a work out and Cassandra helping him improve
"O-Okay. Higher. Weight. Whoops!" Tim muttered and accidentally tripped.
"You okay?" She asked
"Yep. I'm good. I can keep going." He answered, getting up himself.
Cass nodded with a smile... before her eyes flicked to the darkness in the corner of the room "Hmm."
"What? What's wrong?" Tim asked as he saw her eyes.
"Mother." Cass said... as Lady Shiva emerged from the darkness
Shiva was wearing dark black pants, which looked to be made out of leather, and a black small top. Over that she wore a green jacket that almost seemed to big, covered in green and red detailing which depicted a dragon and a tiger on it. Around her waist was a golden sash where a sword was held "Daughter." Shiva commented, her lips still having the black lipstick
The two warrior's did not say a word to each other after that, they just held eye contact for a moment, and rushed into battle
Tim immediately backed off as he knew better than to get between a mother and daughter. Especially the deadliest women on the planet. It was terrifying... and awe inspiring to watch. He saw the vast difference in technique and skill, decades of experience versus innate reading of non-verbal language. It was like a metal symphony, a mismatch of beauty and power you'd think would be a perfect contradiction... But it worked perfectly
And then Superboy and WonderGirl came rushing out, attacking Shiva "Get away from her!" WonderGirl called as she threw a punch, that Shiva easily dodged
"Guys, wait!" Tim called out as Shiva grabbed Cassie by the ankle as the super heroine rushed past, the deadly martial artist throwing the blonde in the opposite direction using her own momentum
"What is she do here?" Superboy asked, throwing his fist at Shiva. Sure he didn't know who she was, but it was someone random who was attacking their teacher! Shiva dodged the blow and reached up, slapping him across the face "Gah?! Again?!" he yelled, covering his face "Someone got through agai-WHOAAAAAA!" Shiva span around and slammed a foot into the Boy of Steel's hand covered face, which sent him crashing through a wall
"She's-!" Cass tried to answer, only for WonderGirl to wrap up Shiva with her rope and threw the warrior woman into another building
"WonderGirl!" Superboy gasped in shock, before turning to Shiva, using his telekinesis. He shot out a burst of telekinetic energy through the air, trapping her and forcing her put of the building "Who are you and what are you doing here?!"
"More children?" Shiva scoffed, finally speaking
"We are not kids!" WonderGirl snapped "Now answer his question!"
"I... oooh~" Superboy said only to groan and fall to his knees, loosing the grip on his powers and freeing Shiva from his telekinetic hold
Shiva landed on her feet, glaring, as she slipped the lasso off her form. She gripped the lasso with one hand and pulled the blonde towards her with all her mighty muscle
"GAH!" WonderGirl yelled as she was ripped off her feet, being sent flying towards the woman. She fell face first into the dirt, groaning as she had a small look to see what caused Superboy to react like that... and saw Robin standing there, holding an open black box that had a glowing green gem inside it "Robin?! What are you doing?!" She snapped
"St-Stay away from her!" Robin called
"Who is she?!" WonderGirl snapped
"My mother." Cassandra deadpanned, walking forwards... confusing the two teens while also making them embarrassed as fuck!
"You-Your mother?!" Superboy gasped "But... what about HarleyQuinn?!"
"Also her mother." Shiva said as she stood tall, tossing the rope she was holding back at WonderGirl "I am Lady Shiva, her birth mother. Nightwing is her adopted father and HarleyQuinn is her step mother through that. Her adopted mother is Oracle, making Poison Ivy her other step mother."
"As said. Five parents, four mothers." Cass repeated from yesterday
"... Huh..." Superboy slurred at the confusing family tree and the Kryptonite radiation
"Robin, enough. Put away." Cass ordered
"O-Oh! R-Right! Sorry Batwoman." Tim nodded, putting the black box away
"You? Urgh. Have. Kryptonite?" Superboy groaned as he was slowly regaining his strength.
"All do. Batman's orders." Cass explained
"Talk about paranoid." Superboy groaned as he propped himself up on a seat.
"Why are you here?" WonderGirl asked Shiva.
"I heard my daughter was in charge of a team and decided to say hello as I was in the country." Shiva answered seriously
"You attacked her!" WonderGirl snapped "You don't just attack your daughter!"
"We were catching up." Shiva frowned "To us, fighting is a language. Neither of us where serious."
"That was 'not serious'?!" Superboy snapped
"Nope." Cass shook her head
"It looked serious to me." WonderGirl frowned
"Because you are untrained... And yes Superboy, fighting is a language." Shiva said harshly
"GAH! How did you do that?! Are you psychic?!" Superboy gasped
"No." Shiva smirked "Your body told me. Just like how my daughter and I held conversation by fighting."
"Er..." Superboy blinked
"The way their language works is not as simple/complex as sign language or words. A motion had no meaning." Tim tried to explain "It all comes down to intent. And it isn't exactly conversations how we know them it is more like two letters being written and read at the same time. At least that is what I have been able to pick up scientifically by talking to Shiva about it."
"... So. Like sign language?" Superboy asked
"Sort of." She nodded "But completely different." Shiva added "Again, movements are not correlated to an expression. A high kick does not equate to "Hello" and a block is the same as "how are you?", the movements do not matter. It is the temperament, the subtle tension of muscles, the body language and so much more. Batwoman and I are reading each other's bodies and telling our own stories at the same time. It is like you and Robin where both singing songs at the same time, but could clearly hear each other over your own voices and you didn't have to think about the next line. It is a beautiful form of talking and one I am proud to share with my daughter. And its ultimate perk is that it is impossible to lie using it, not even Batman can. "
"Confused. Anxious. Defensive. Don't believe. Scared of self. Scared of origin. Of father. Scared of legacy. Tries to hide with humour. Shocked and confused. Amazed. Disbelief." Cass suddenly started saying, effortlessly listing off what Superboy was feeling to his own shock and others "A few months old. A clone. Doubts own existence. Aroused. Scared of own bise-"
"Okay! Okay! We get it!" Superboy yelled with a blush
"... How much did you get out of that?" WonderGirl asked in shock
"I just looked." Cass said "Want me to do the same?"
"Don't worry daughter, if she wants the same treatment I'll happily do it." Shiva commented, ready to demonstrate everything that Cassie was 'saying'
The blonde 'meeped' and covered herself, suddenly feeling exposed
Shiva chuckled gently as she immediately saw Cassie's fear and embarrassment "Mother." Batwoman frowned
"Sorry. Let's continue." Shiva smiled and readied herself to fight. Cass nodded and got ready to fight, the two new Titans sitting next to Tim and looking in confusion
"Is... this a regular thing?" Cassie asked Tim.
"Yeah, it is." He nodded "She comes by every two months or so."
"Huh. Okay." Superboy answered
"Yeah. It is how they catch up." Tim answered
Up in the tower, Raven smiled down at the sight before her
*Elsewhere*
We arrive back with the space team as they prepare for more training "Okay, everyone. Is everyone suited up?" Kom asked
"Two of us are permanently suited up." Courtney joked, pointing to Jaime and Kyle
"Hey, I can turn my suit off any time I want!... I just don't want to." Kyle argued
"Why, because you are going commando under that?" Stargirl teased
"Were you peeping?!" Kyle snapped with a large blush while Stargirl blinked in shock
"What's wrong with going commando? We do it all night." Kori asked

"Anyway." Kom diverted the conversation, annoyed at her sister for giving away such information
"For the record, no. I was joking." Stargirl added honestly, blinking
"... oh..." Kyle blinked in embarrassment as he realised he outed himself
"Training? Please? I want to mentally wash that away!" Jaime asked
"Okay." Bart nodded with a grin
"Right, we're going to do some basic training." Kom called out as Kid Flash zoomed away
"... He is exceptionally fast." Stargirl commented
"I'm faster." Kyle answered
"You fly faster. But you can't run faster." Kori responded
"And I am still faster." Bart responded... As there where suddenly two Bart's
"HUH?!" The group asked in shock
"Two? Huh? How?!" Jaime asked
"Super speed." Bart answered "I am moving so fast I am distorting your vision. Standing still for micro-seconds in these two spots, tricking hour eyes into seeing me at two places at once."
"I call hax on that." Kyle joked, making the others laugh.
"I'm not even close to my full speed." Bart added playfully
"How much faster can you go?" Jaime asked
"Not as fast as Wally." Bart answered "But very fast. I can run through time if I try."
"Yeah, okay. I've heard enough." Jaime sighed in inadequacy.
"Yeah, some heroes make you feel real under powered don't they?" Courtney chuckled
"The exercise is simple. Hit me." Bart grinned as there where suddenly ten of him "By working as a team."
"Try and hit you?" Jaime asked as his Scarab shot out limbs to try and hit Bart.
"Yep, game time!" Bart cheered
"Now, try not to kill Bart. Just hit him once." Kori warned them.
"Let's go guys!" Courtney cheered as she jumped up, her staff pulling her along as she rocketed forwards
*back at the main tower*
"Hmm. What a night." Virgil stretched as he walked out of his room after a shower.
"Yeah, this place is great." Mia nodded as she emerged from her own room "Too bad we are only staying here for a few days."
"True, but it's got soft beds." Danny yawned
"Well, let's go." Virgil encouraged "I think our teachers are waiting for us."
The three future Titans headed to the main training room, where Jinx, Karen and Garth were waiting while Garfield was eating vegan chips and Terra relaxing, almost sunbathing
"Okay everyone, ready?" Jinx asked cheerfully
"Yes ma'am!" Virgil nodded
"Good. Because today... you have tests." Karen said, pulling out papers

"You see, young warriors." Aqualad said, arms behind his back "You must have knowledge on your friends and foes."
