Despite the wide open space of Ancient Fairy's grove it still felt enclosed, with the towering trees and their thick branches that extended to serve as a type of dome. A large rock rested in the center were Ancient Fairy was resting upon while a number of other fairy and animal spirits stood in attendance. Below, at the base of the rock, between the entryway and the Dragon was Regulus, the ever regal single horned lion. But despite the orbs of cheery bright fairy lights that danced about the grove, the whole of the area still retained this weight of apprehension and fear.

Perhaps that was why both dragon and lion appeared so calm and detached from the court. If the leader of their world wasn't worried, they should take it as a sign that all would be well again soon. Right?

"Aki," Ancient Fairy roused up from her coiled position, the fans of fins on the side of her head lifting at the Rose duelists' approach. Witch of the Black Rose followed by Aki's side, with both Black Rose Dragon and Stardust Dragon in attendance at her back. "What is the word of your human friends, the little one has not had the strength to visit..."

The dragon turned her head to point with her muzzle at a hanging swing between the branches of a tree. A number of random fairy spirits were hovering about, but Aki could easily recognize the singed feathers of Cyber Petite Angel resting. But a look to the side and Ancient Fairy's heart felt heavy at the quiet expression on Aki and the Witches' faces.

"Your expressions do not fill me with hope," Ancient Fairy finally answered for all of them.

"No, physically Asuka is fine, so is her brother, most of the others... If they didn't endure physical pain their hearts and minds have endured it instead," Aki explained before Witch floated forward.

And it was her that explained to the Dragon ruler what had happened to the rest of the group, and the trauma she had seen.

"Many of these spirits are born from the love of their human partners and never get the chance to meet those partners. But to meet and be torn away by such cruel manner and then for their humans to suffer so..." Ancient Fairy mused allowed as she thought of the poor children. "Right now everyone is staying hidden, no one wishes to engage these spirits out of fear. There have even been residents of Yami who have moved out of their own region in the hopes of protecting themselves."

"That part of this incident is human, they are not residing in the Duel Spirit world, they are instead visiting as you currently are." Regulus noted from his Major Domo position before the Ancient Fairy. He stretched out his sharp claws as his only outward sign that he was brooding over this unpleasant situation.

"I realize the Crimson Dragon has made its desire to be not be involved apparent. However; could you gather your fellow dragons? I have need to give better an explanation as to what the 'Gentle Darkness' is. More over; with Honests' death we have no idea what went through Yusuke's mind to make him do such things..."

"Not only that, but Honest employed hypnosis on the student body of your human school. Now with his death everyone is undoubtedly awakening to the realization that the human they thought they knew was a Duel Spirit. There will be questions from they as well I suspect," Regulus pointed out and in the shadow of the trees asserting wickers of horse type spirits could be heard.

"How was that possible? Yusuke apparently was upset with Honest given what Asuka and the others said. How could Honest be able to manifest in the human world 'and' make himself be visible?" Aki inquired as Black Rose and Stardust settled in.

"Is it his card? Like is Honest, as a type of spirit popular?" Stardust asked only to get a negative shake of the head from Fairy.

"I would suspect that he got in contact with a magician spirit of sorts and had something made. There 'are' spirits who can 'stay on the field' as it were and if Yusuke saw the world as the 'field' he could have made it possible to stay. But I am more distressed by the description you had of the children," Ancient Fairy noted. "Fire does not do that, we can't make fire that burns long after it has gone out. Melting skin and flesh..."

The large dragon shivered, revealed as a wave of darkening scales that ran from the tip of her muzzle down her whole long body. Dimming the bright azure blue as a ring that ran down her serpentine form, along with her wings momentarily. "He was sustained for... I'm sorry but for how long? I wasn't here back when this began so."

"I..." Aki looked at Witch, but really there was just this sense of helplessness between the pair. "I don't know how long Honest was with them to be well, honest. I know that Isao kept him away from the school for over a year. But given his ability he could have been there for months before then or years. And finding out the truth could be next to impossible what with Honest being dead now."

"Maybe Fubuki? Honest revealed himself to be a Duel Spirit to him, so maybe while they were talking Honest confessed to that?" Witch asked thoughtfully before her gaze moved from the Ancient Fairy over to Aki. "Should I go to the hospital and ask? I don't mind!"

"That would be a great help Witch, as you know this group more than I. More over you would fit better in a hospital and cause less alarm if someone stumbled upon your presence. Far less than compared to me..." Ancient Fairy noted with an amused glance behind at her long draconic body. Because while Witch could easily freeze up and pretend to be a doll, Ancient Fairy wasn't going to convince 'anyone' she was just a helpless toy...

With a nod of consent from Aki, Witch waved and faded out of sight...

"Right now we have seen neither the human or the spirit that attacked the children. Due to the delay it took for us to be notified. We don't exactly know which portal the human took to enter or leave our world." Ancient Fairy noted thoughtfully. "This situation makes me regret all the more my time imprisoned, for I am of no help in matters that happened during my absence."

"Oh now don't say that. We weren't any more help either, what with our situations," Stardust noted as he flexed his wings. "Can't you summon one of the other Honests? Its always possible that they know something about our Honest. How he managed to stay in the human world or what he might have got in contact with..."

"It 'is' a thought..." Regulus acknowledged, his voice dropping an octave as he spoke. "One I thought in passing to investigate myself in fact." He shook out his thick mane as he settled down into a seated position. "But there simply are no other Honest's on our world. I'm unsure if its because he was a one of a kind spirit, or if they were wiped out and if so when."

"That's dark, I know us dragons are one of a kinds. Even the legendary Dark Magician, while he has multiple copies and thus spirits. No other spirit is 'him'."

"And he is the odd one, the original one is far removed from any of his copies. Those are only as strong as their support spells allow, he is powerful regardless..." Rose noted with remarkable amounts of lucid thought. "Both the most powerful magician in human existence and the one Priest who is closest to our God. Many copies but not the original..." Her head shifted tilting from side to side, as though scrutinizing a thought made manifest.

"Those are the odd spirits aren't they," Aki asked looking about. "Not true Duel Spirits rather they are human souls? While well the love and devotion of a human enamored by the cards gives other spirits their forms..."

"Indeed, they are born directly from human souls, but Honest is like the others here, born from the love and devotion of humans." Ancient Fairy acknowledged as her guests began to settle down. Getting lost in their own thoughts as they waited.

"Is there anything that can be done for the injuries?" Aki asked looking up at Ancient Fairy, her arms folding across her chest as she began to brood.

"I have sent calls out to the spirits of their decks... Hoping that there was a healing draught that they may have carried or something of that type... But all that had spirits died in that horrible battle."

"I wonder where Carly and Misty are..." Aki shook her head at the thought, "Carly probably would be the better option..." Aki began before she turned to face Stardust. "Can you tell me where Yusei is at the moment?"

"Hmm let me check," Stardust faded out, leaving an empty space by Black Rose Dragon.

"I faintly recall the Carly human, she of the Fortune Fairy deck. But what of this other woman you speak of?" Regulus asked, now that there were literally two other members of their conversation that was now missing.

"Misty is a model and a duelist. But like Carly she does fortune telling, i-its stupid," Aki shook her head, dismissing the thought.

"Hoping that the children's luck might turn around?" Ancient Fairy asked kindly as Aki started to make a seat upon the grass.

"Yeah, but it occurs to me that the very 'luck' is fickle and if Momoe gets anything less than great... Carly's reading isn't detailed, not like Misty's but..." Aki paused as she gathered herself , closing her eyes and taking a calming breath. 'I'm going to have to see her anyways I need to brace for that.'

"Misty reads the lines and such of a person's face and Momoes' 'face'.." She took a shuddering breath as Stardust faded back into view behind her.

"Yusei is currently shopping and if not for the matter at hand I'd stick around watching him. Grocery shopping for the twins and fighting the urge to put them on a pure 'Cup Noodles' diet is a thing to behold."

"Well that's a lot better or you know what..." Witchs' voice was the first thing they heard before she faded into view. She appeared a little ruffled, her hair a bit disarray and she was currently trying to smooth down the ruffles of her dress. She looked at her audience and her lips became a straight line of awkwardness. "Guess who managed to call God? Or in her case God'Dess'..." Witch waved her wand before landing on the ground amid the chaos the announcement created. Not just Aki, or Black Rose and or Stardust. But Ancient Fairy, Regulus and any other spirit in ear shot roused up to stare in open disbelief.

"And we got marching orders," she called out over the wave of questions and surprise.

"Yugi... she called upon, and got an answer from the 'Yugi'?!" Aki asked in disbelief which got her a nod from her spirit.

"Yeah, a very unimpressed version, said we needed to find a healing Duel Spirit who can bond with Momoe to help with the..." Witch gestured to the side of her head, the corners of her mouth unable to stay in any straight position. "And apparently we're going to split our forces, her and her group needs to deal with Yusuke, we need to deal Yubel..."

"You need to get the Dragons together, its way beyond me to try and explain," Witch offered as she stood there. "I mean God literally was talking about a 'negation of reality' and that's a little too intense for my ability to understand."

"I'll send you to talk to Yusei, I'll head directly to the hospital... I need to be with them... No wait I need to find a Duel Spirit..." Aki started course correcting, as she tried to figure out what would be the best use for her resources.

"'I' shall gather the healing spirits among the world, you see to the child and I will send them to you once those who answer arrive. What God orders will not be easy, the spirits will have bonds with other duelists. But I have faith in His wisdom," Ancient Fairy instructed.

"Her actually, Asuka said it was a woman Yugi that showed up, and she didn't sound like she was the most friendly of versions... And the way the place felt when I arrived..." Witch shivered. "Asuka has never grabbed me but she... she was a little distraught when I arrived..."

"I'm going," Aki began and got back to her feet. "Thank you Ancient Fairy, hopefully we can get this dealt with quickly..."

Behind her Black Rose Dragon stood up while Stardust stayed seated, "there's no promise that the spirits will know how to get to a human hospital in that particular city. I'll bring the most likely candidates to you," he rumbled as he lowered his head towards Aki. "Who knows, if I can find Archfiend I'll drag him along for the flight."

Aki smiled in gratitude as Stardusts head got on eye level, "I don't envy you or Yusei's duty as leader..." She admitted as she rested her hand on the side of his head.

"When it comes to leadership there's three types of people. People who want to but don't have the skill, people with the skill but don't want to, and people who have both the skill and the desire. We've always been in the second camp, but even back then, having friends made the effort worth it." Stardust replied, his orange colored eyes reflecting Akis' reflection back at her. "Go on."

Sitting by the river, Kara looked at the flowing currents and pondered where the ideal moment to make the copies would be... 'What's the point of being me if I don't just do it my way?' she thought before she climbed to her feet. She stepped down into the time stream, and walked along the time frozen stiffened grass.

The land of Yami looked a great deal like any other land, the stand out point being that there was never any daylight. So the plants took over, absorbing the light of the unseen sun, they emitted the absorbed energy into light, creating soft glows that guided or beguiled the unaware. Once night fell upon the land, the stars would be added to the darken skies above.

But for now time had stopped, and she walked about this small idiot group of children on this field trip to the Duel Spirit World. She studied the sight in front of her, of the multitude of spirits that walked along side their humans. They were touring and chatting, unaware of the broken human and the broken spirit who were about to unleash a hell upon all of them.

"Pharaoh?"

"Ahh Maha, did I wake you?" She asked as she studied Djinn and thought about how soon the queen's back would be snapped in two.

"It is fine, long has it been since you have spent so much time in timelines," the voice finally gave form, as Dark Magician materialized in a kneeling position at her side.

"Really now? I didn't think it had been 'that' long," she mused to herself as she stood there.

"May I ask what brings you to this moment?" Mahaado inquired as he followed his ruler along.

"I received a prayer, undoubtedly for one of my more gentle counterparts," Kara began as she looked about. "And I'm done playing with the little emo idiot who has been..." She paused before turning to look at the magician. "Do you know about what is going on?" she asked as she tried to remember if she ever woke Mahaado back up and explained the current 'situation'.

"My apologies my Lady, I fear I was asleep and am unaware," Mahaado replied, before he felt the slight tug on his robes. The silent 'stop looking like a duel spirit and go back to looking like a living person' gesture. It was almost amusing how every single one of his Lords and Ladies shared Set's same inclination about apparel. Granted this was 'his' Pharaoh, but that didn't stop the others when they woke him up by accident or design.

"Ooh well, in that case, I'm currently been asked to help a mortal in this timeline. Seems that Judai the moron went and sent Yubel into space and they came back a space case. Violent, dangerous, and is about to brutally attack everyone here. Between themselves and a less dangerous broken child they... well that one, you see that girl..." Kara pointed to Momoe while Mahaado turned to observe as he switched to his formal priest robes. "Her flesh is melting off her body and uh, yeah. Stop gap it now until this timeline gets their Seto back, or its going..."

Mahaado turned back to his pharaoh and bowed his head slightly in acknowledgment. "Its spreading on her skin, what's injured now will consume the rest of her until nothing is left?"

Kara gave a half shrug half nod before she turned and got to work.
