Following Byakuran's defeat, the future Dino's memory was shared with present Dino, spurring him to go through with his plans to propose…

"Who would've thought that when Tsunayoshi and his friends disappeared they actually were sent to the future of all places?" Rosetta commented with bewilderment as she and Dino were taking a stroll one evening after memories were shared.

"It's even harder to believe that it actually happened - or could've possibly happened - in the first place. To think someone would go that far…" Dino added with deep concern. "By the way, about the Byakuran of this time…"

"I've already made some personal calls and they've allowed me to keep tabs on him too." The Mezzanotte boss replied. "They'll let me know if anything happens."

The Cavallone boss smiled with relief. "I should've known you were already on it. That's what I love about you."

She was surprised at the last thing he said and looked around before reciprocating with her own smile. They both gazed at the horizon fondly and since they were alone Rosetta took the chance to take his hand in hers and lean on his shoulder.

Dino relaxed into it and stood silent for a moment before asking, "By the way I never had a chance to ask but are you okay after witnessing your future self's memories…?"

The brunette hesitated at first. "I am…relatively okay. If anything it was a bit disorienting, as the way she remembered the events were all fragmented and jumbled up." She answered with a bit of difficulty. "All I can truly recall is the fact that Byakuran could be dangerous and a single name…Vero."

"Apparently...Vero is the name of our son in the future…"

"Really…?" Rosetta was surprised at his comment. "I was wondering what significance that name had…"

The Cavallone boss smiled bitter sweetly in response before pausing in silent thought. "I wish…I could've seen more of their family life."

"Why do you say that?"

"I…wanted a bit of assurance…before I asked you to marry me." Dino blurted out casually before turning to gaze at her to gauge her reaction. Surprised after seeing her shocked and tearful expression he continued, "Rosetta, why are you crying?"

"Dino you know that I can't accept your proposal." she answered, seeming upset at someone but it was unclear as to whom.

"Yes, of course I do." He said while pulling her into a comforting hug. "I didn't want an answer right away. Like I said it was really just an assurance. I can wait, however long it takes."

"But I don't want to keep you waiting. Who knows how long sorting out my family mess is going to take and even though it pains me to say this, maybe you should move on-."

"How could you say something like that?!" Dino interrrupted urgently. "I refuse to move on, because the only one I see by my side is you. So I will wait, no matter how long it takes…"

"Dino…" Rosetta muttered tearfully, finally hugging him back. "You can be a real idiot sometimes, but thank you…"

'Hopefully we don't end up regretting this…' she couldn't help but think to herself however.
