Intro: It's Christmas time here at Fairy Tail! Instead of getting everyone a gift since the guild is so big, everyone has a secret santa. What is to happen here at this crazy Fairy Tail Christmas?
Lucy's POV:
Christmas is finally here! Christmas is my favorite holiday, because of all the lights and decorations that are put up across town. I didn't really get to have Christmas with my dad much as a little kid, but this year I can enjoy it with my Fairy Tail family! Since there are so many people at the guild and everyone has a budget, Mira had us all draw names from a hat, naming them our "Secret Santa". On my list I have Natsu, which may be harder than I thought it would be.
You would think I would have it easy, seeing as I am one of his best friends besides Happy. But that's just not the case. Once you think about it, what can I get for him? He doesn't really wear much clothes besides his usual attire, you can't really give him food for Christmas, and I don't really think he's one for books, crafts, or games. So this makes it harder than usual. Seeing as I've had his name for over 2 weeks now and tomorrow is Christmas Eve, I have to find him something, and fast.
I've asked Mira for help, but she really didn't help me much. She kept giving me the options of giving him my, "love", my "first kiss", and many other options. Of course I like Natsu, but that is definitely not something I"m going to do for Christmas, seeing as we have to give our presents in front of the entire guild, and I don't know if he likes me back. After a while of thinking I had a great idea. Now I just have to sneak over to his cottage, grab the materials and come back without being caught!
A day later... (Christmas Eve/Fairy Tail Party)
Lucy got ready in quite a hurry today. She usually takes her sweet time getting ready, especially on a holiday or something, but today she had no patience. After finishing up her project last night and getting it wrapped, she is very excited to give her gift to Natsu. Opting for a quick shower instead of a bath, she thought about his expression when he would see what she made him. She smiled at the thought of him enjoying it as she finished up her shower. Getting into her emerald green knee high dress with silver heels, she got ready to leave her apartment.
As she entered the guild she waved and hollered her hello's to everyone who greeted her while she walked to the bar with a bright smile on her face. "Why hello there Lucy! You look very happy this morning." Mira greeted as she cleaned a cup. Lucy nodded and said, "Just very excited for the party is all." Mira gave a smile as she walked off to put the cup away. After having a short conversation with Levy about her novel, Lucy stood up and walked over to the Christmas tree where all the gifts were sorted. Placing her gift down she started partying with her fellow guild mates.
About 2 hours later, after some dancing, talking, eating, and just hanging out, Mira suddenly yelled, "Alright everyone! It's time we open presents! I need everyone to sit or stand at a spot in the guild." Everyone followed her instructions and got in their own place. I sat by Natsu, Happy, Wendy, and Carla at our own table. Mira continued with her instructions noticing that everyone was settled in. "Alright, I'll be calling a name one by one. Whoever's name I call, I need you to come get your present and hand it to your secret santa! You have to stand there and watch them open it." Everyone nodded and watched as Mira walked over to the Christmas tree.
Many names later she spoke another, "Evergreen." Evergreen got up and walked over and grabbed her present. Walking over to me she gave me the present and stood in front of Lucy while she unwrapped the present. Opening the box Lucy saw a cute skirt and shirt as well as a book about astrology and about spirits. Giving Evergreen her thanks and a small hug, Evergreen went back to her seat while Lucy put her things back in the box. Mira went through many more names. Natsu had gotten Carla apparently, so it was sweet seeing her open it up and receive a framed picture of her and Wendy. Finally Mira got to Lucy. "Lucy." Lucy walked up to the tree and grabbed her present she had for Natsu. Walking over to Natsu she handed it to him and said, "I hope you like it. Please don't be mad I took some of your things." Natsu gave a curious look but happily grabbed the present.
Unwrapping the present Natsu opened the weird album-book like thing and stared at it in shock flipping through the pages. Lucy stood there staring at Natsu as he looked at her gift. Lucy had made Natsu a memory book in sorts. Taking pictures from his house of Igneel and him, him and Fairy Tail, and him and her. She also gave little short stories on some pages of ones Natsu has told her. So he can always remember the funny memories. She thought it was a good present, but now she was not sure as Natu continued to look through it not saying a word. Growing scared every other second, Lucy was surprised when Natsu suddenly flung up and gave her a long hug. Lucy was shocked for a second before hugging him back. "Do you like it?" Natsu gave her a nod as an answer before sitting back down. After about 20 more minutes, the gift exchange was over and everyone was showing off their gifts to one another.
Natsu and Lucy were talking in a corner of the guild since Natsu pulled her over to the side. "Lucy, thank you so much for the present. I know I didn't say anything earlier, but I was sort of shocked and not expecting it. However I appreciate it and thank you very much." Lucy gave off a smile and waved his worries off. "Ah, don't worry about it Natsu! I'm just glad you enjoyed it." Smiling at each other they hugged and were fixing to walk away before they were interrupted by the one and only Mirajane.
"Now, now, y'all can't leave just yet!" They looked at each other strangely before looking back at Mira. "Uh, what do you mean Mira?" Lucy asked. Mira simply let her smile grow bigger as she pointed up. Lucy and Natsu looked up and stared in shock. Right above them was a mistletoe. Lucy's face grew red as she looked back at Mira and started naming excuses. Natsu also had a small blush on his face if you look closely. He's not as oblivious as others think of him as. Mira, not giving in, started pushing them back towards each other and grabbed a lacrima camera. "Now, kiss!" Natsu and Lucy looked at each other nervously before leaning in slowly. A few centimeters away from the others lips, both spoke at the same time. "I like you!" Both stared at each other in shock for a quick second before giving a smile and closing the distance in their first kiss that will turn into many.
