Chapter 2
"Welcome to the family!" -Jared Padalecki
"W-what?" Sam asked, gaping, and then looking over at Dean. Dean had this look on his face that was a look of disbelief.
"Jamie?" Dean muttered softly. Harry just nodded, and Dean, in a very un-Deanish way, rushed and pulled Jamie into his arms. Jamie stiffened at first, then collapsed into the hug. Dean just held the child close and started to run his hand over the child's hair.
"I am also willing to do a DNA test," Jamie admitted. "If that would make you guys feel more comfortable."
"Why are you so young, Jamie?" Dean asked, as he pulled away from the hug to inspect his younger brother.
"So, I was basically put into a coma by the man who took me, and the coma stopped the entire ageing process. I was frozen in the coma for ten years, before I was pulled out of it," Jamie explained.
"I didn't know that we had another brother," Sam stated.
"We never talked about Jamie, because it was too painful for Dad or I to bring up, speaking of Dad, I will need to do that," Dean stated. He passed his kid brother to Sam, and walked over to the Impala, where he called his father's number.
"Hey Dad, this is Dean, I just wanted to let you know that Sam and I found our Jamie, call me back," He left the message, and went back over to his younger brothers. Sam was now holding Jamie in the same way that Dean had held him.
"Hey, Jamie, how did you find out about us?" Sam asked, as he looked into his brother's eyes.
"Ok, so what I am about to tell you is a little unbelievable," Jamie stated, as he pulled away from both of them. They just nodded at him to continue.
"So, I am what you guys, hunters, call a 'Natural-Born Wizard' which means I did not make a deal with a demon for my power, I was born with it. The guy that took me, sensed the power that I have, and took me. He drugged me into the coma, and gave me the antidote, and gave me to the people that I thought were my parents. The person, Lily Potter, that I thought was my mom, left me a note that told me about you guys," he stated. Dean grinned.
"I am glad that you found us, and for your magic, let Sam and I talk to Dad, it is better that he hears it from us then you," Dean stated. Jamie just nodded. Dean ruffled his hair and pulled him into another hug. "Hop in the backseat, we are going to Bobby's house for some family bonding."
Jamie, not knowing who Bobby was, just climbed into the back, as his brothers climbed into the front. Dean driving, and Sam on the passenger side.
"Who is Bobby?" Jamie asked, as Dean began to drive towards South Dakota.
"He is like an uncle to us, when Dad would be on a hunt that would take a while, he would drop us off at Bobby's. Bobby is like a big-time hunter researcher, he is like the google for hunters," Sam explained Jamie just nodded. Just then, Dean's phone rang, and he pulled it out to see that it was John.
"Hey, Dad."
"Is this a joke, Dean? Jamie is dead." John stated.
"No, he is in the backseat, we are going to Bobby's and running a blood test once we are there, but I am 98% sure that it is him. Meet us there?"
"Yeah, let me finish this hunt."
"See you there." And Dean hung up. "Well, first time in three months that I have actually talked to dad."
"What does he do normally?" Jamie asked, as he settled in the backseat, with his arm in a makeshift sling.
"Normally, he will send us coordinates to where he wants us to hunt," Dean explained, as he passed a soda back to the child, who nodded his thanks. "Get some sleep, kiddo, we have a 5-hour drive, so get comfy." Jamie nodded at that, and put his feet up, relaxing into the leather seats of the 1967 Chevrolet Impala.
Dean kept on driving, after about an hour, he looked back to see Jamie, asleep, with his head resting on the window. When Dean passed over a bump, he saw bruises going all the way down from Jamie's neck, and down his shirt.
"What do you think, Sammy?" He asked as they kept driving.
"I think that he was abused," Sam stated. Dean nodded.
"If I ever get ahold of whoever took him, and whoever abused him, they will not live to hurt another soul," Dean promised both Sam and himself.
"He is only 11 years old; do you think Dad will believe us?" Sam asked, as they got closer to Bobby's.
"I have no clue, the kid looks like he is eight at the most," Dean responds, while looking at the child in his rear view mirror.
The car got to Bobby's house, and Bobby was on the porch, with a shotgun and a silver flask, waiting. Dean got out of the driver's side, Sam the passenger, and Dean reached into the back, and gently carried a child up to the porch. He gently passed the child to Sam, and took a swig from the flask, then took the child back, so Sam could take a swig. Bobby carefully, as to not wake the child, dropped a bit of Holy Water on his head, when the water had no effect, Bobby let the boys in, and Dean carried Jamie up to the room that Dean and Sam normally shared. The room had two twin sized beds, plus a single sized bed. He put Jamie down on the bed furthest away from the door, which was one of the twins.
Dean motioned for Sam to take the next one in, which was also a twin, and Dean took the one right beside the door, which was the single. "One of us should stay with him during the time when he is asleep, that way he does not wake up alone, and in a strange place," Dean told Sam, who nodded.
"I will go fill Bobby in on everything, you stay here with our brother," Sam stated, and Dean just nodded, and settled in on the bed next to Jamie's bed, with his gun resting at his side, and a book open on his lap. The book looked like Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut, which Dean had read numerous times.
Sam walked quietly back down the stairs to Booby's living room, where Bobby was waiting for him. "So, what is the deal with the kid? Your dad just called me up, and told me to prepare for you guys, and that he would be here in a few days," Bobby asked, passing Sam a beer.
"That little kid had a note saying that he was James Oliver Winchester, and that he is a natural-born wizard. Have you heard of them, Bobby?" Sam asked, before taking a long sip of the beer.
"Yeah, I have. Natural-borns are really secretive in nature, in fact, that is where our monsters come from. Things like Vampires and werewolves have magical counterparts that are better than ours. Also, the natural-borns are said to get their magic directly from God himself, if you believe in that," Bobby stated, and Sam just nodded. That made sense to him.
Dean sat on Sam's bed, reading for a good two hours, until he heard Jamie starting to wake up. He tossed the book at his bed, and went over to Jamie's bed, and sat on the side of Jamie's bed. Gently, Dean put his hand on Jamie's good shoulder, and Jamie's eyes opened, and he smiled at Dean.
