Intro: Lucy and Natsu are in their late 70's. Lucy has had some medical issues the past few years. Today is the day the doctors marked as her death day. How will they spend their last day together?
(Warning: There WILL be death in this story! If you are not wanting to read this, please move on to the next one.)

Natsu's POV:

I held Lucy's hand as we walked around in the Magnolia hospital. According to the doctor, today would be Lucy's last day with me. We had known this was coming a long time ago, when a few of her organs started going. The doctors as well as me tried telling Lucy to stay in bed today, but she refused. So, we made a deal where she has to stay in the hospital all day at the very least. Me and Lucy have been married for over 50 years, but we never had any kids. As much as we tried, we were never able to conceive. In the long run it was probably the best since we didn't stop going on missions until in our mid 40's.

While many of the other guild members had kids, most of them were spending time with their families today. They had all said their goodbyes to Lucy the past week, and are all spending today together since only I am allowed with Lucy today. Happy was not pleased to hear that, but said his goodbye's yesterday and is spending today with Chalre and his 3 children. I snapped out of my thoughts as Lucy faltered a bit in the hall. I quickly grabbed her and steadied her. "Luce, are you okay?" I asked her as delicately as possible. Lucy looked up and gave the best smile she could manage with small tears streaming down her face. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just had a moment with my heart there." I just nodded feeling my eyes start to water at the thought of her heart starting to fail.

Lucy noticed my tears and took her hands out of mine and put them on my face. "Hey, don't be sad. We've known for quite awhile now that this would happen. Let's just spend as much as today together as possible, and happily." I put my hands on top of hers that were still on my face and nodded. Giving her a quick peck on the cheek I took her hand back in mine and continued our walk around the hospital. After we walked around 2 more times, we went back to her room to get ready for lunch. Noticing her having a hard time getting on the bed I walked over and helped her get on. Lucy gave me a smile as thanks. I sat down in the chair beside her bed and grabbed her hand and held it. Looking down at it he could see the many wrinkles on both of their hands. They had changed a lot in their old age. Many wrinkles, a little weight gain (though not much), grey hair, and just changing in general. Clothing style, personality, everything.

After Lucy ate they didn't do much more besides laugh, talk, and watch some movies on a TV lacrima. Lucy has had many scares so far, but she is still here with us. It's about 7:30 right now. We were laughing at a joke we made about Erza and Jellal's kid before Lucy's breath hitched. Her heart monitor started beeping out of control again like it has many times today, and again, I stood up panicked and leaned over her. "Luce, Luce, stay with me." I could tell she wasn't hearing anything I said. Suddenly I was pushed away as the doctors came rushing in. By now Lucy was coming back but only a tiny bit. Noticing I wasn't there she looked around until her eyes rested on me. Her hand started to reach out for me, and I longed to be beside her and holding her hand.

The doctor in front of where she had her hand reaching out of me, moved away and let me go to her. I hurriedly grabbed her hand and held on. "Lucy, please. Stay with me!" I cried out as I continued to hold her hand. Lucy gave me a small smile and whispered, "I love you." I continued to let tears stream down my face as I responded. "I love you too Luce." She pulled me down to give her a kiss. As I pulled back she gave me a smile with tears streaming down her face. By now her heart was rocketing and the doctors were panicking. "Luce..Luce please!" I begged. She told me once more, "I love you Natsu." she closed her eyes and the heart monitor let out a loud long beep, that had no end. At hearing this sound, I dropped to the floor crying and holding her hand, begging her to come back to me.

(A/N: Well...this one didn't really have a happy ending, but it does show Nalu! Don't worry, the next story will be more uplifting! I promise. However..Ima take a break. My hands hurt. ;-;)
