"Rua?" Ruka spoke into the painful generic noise of the evening shows that filled their condo.

The lights were on, all of them in fact, Ruka sat on the couch with her legs drawn up, leaning to the left, her back supported by the couch. Her twin, Rua, supported her on the left so she didn't flomp over to the side. He was quiet as well, his usual boisterous nature quiet and just as disinterested in the tv as she was.

"Yusei's late isn't he?" Rua answered his own gaze flickering towards the lift that Yusei used to come to their condo. But it was more than just an absence of their big brother. It was in the air, this weird feeling that Rua didn't know how to define. It wasn't anything he ever felt before, though Ruka becoming quiet and nervous was nothing new to him.

"Yeah... somethings off though..." Ruka noted as she tucked her knees to her chest a little closer.

"I feel it too," Rua admitted as he reached around and hugged Ruka closer.

She wasn't taking the meds for her heart and her health as steady and strong was a great relief to him as he sat there. If this feeling had happened a year ago, he would have been a bundle of helpless nerves. He wouldn't have admitted to feeling it so his sister could relax without worrying about him. Now...

"You do?" She pulled back to look at him in surprise. He looked a bit embarrassed as he admitted it, squirming a bit in his seat.

"Yeah... I mean I feel something that I don't know how to describe. I just feel anxious... like something..."

"Like bugs crawling on you?" she asked strangely excited and worried as he began to nod. She could see him thinking about that and comparing it to how he felt. The slow nodding and she felt both the relief that she wasn't alone and the worry that he couldn't do as she could. 'If something bad happens he can't defend himself and I can feel that Ancient Fairy is busy.'

"Is it like this for you normally?" Rua asked, trying to distract the two of them from this feeling, but unable to deny his own curiosity.

"Eh, no... its a little weird to me too... Something is happening in the Duel Spirit World I think," she explained as she settled back at his side. More at peace as she sat by his side as little unseen ants crawled against her skin.

"If we were older big brother and big sister would bring us along," Rua pouted as he sat there but Ruka shook her head.

"No, they were busy with the Captains at the hospital, even if we were older we can't do much to help them." Ruka pointed out earning a small nod from Rua.

"Well, yeah about that we're kinda useless, wait... I am but you're not, couldn't you and big sister Aki just use Ancient Fairy's ability?" Rua asked turning to face his sister with an honest curious expression on his face.

Ruka found herself a little thoughtful on the idea herself as she sat there, "It would come down to the field card though... We've never tried to use a field card with her here in the human world... Soo what would have happened if she had to destroy the hospital as the 'field' card?" She asked and the stricken look on Rua's face told her all she needed to know. "See? How would the human world react to what would be considered a 'field card'?"

Rua's frown wasn't the comical pout, but instead the thoughtful furrowed brow and frown of a duelist. "Well a field card would change the setting right, so if someone used an ocean card..." He shook his head. "Big sister Aki would summon an ocean with a field card and that sounds impossible... Maybe it would just give the spirits a boost in power? She can summon the Gardens after all, but plants growing from the ground would be more reasonable..."

Ruka sat there and his observation sent her thinking, 'I get shields yeah but I've never tried to call an ocean... And its not an hologram either soooo...'

The twins were left pondering...

"Tell me how I can help," Johan finally asked while his family went about pushing the fog back. Restoring light and balance to the area.

Stardust, personally, found the guy comical, he was an incredible help so far but he seemed so unused to it that he was asking for conformation? 'Or maybe he's just clueless, I mean, Yusei's used to the warriors life style and Judai's just a mess. This kid seems just flat out helpful...' But helpful with a twist because he was untrained, a... there was a term for untrained untested types... But Rosy and Ancient would know better than him.

"You don't speak Japanese so there isn't much you can do save help us get into the Duel Spirit World," Yusei pointed out before diving to the right to avoid a thorny spear aiming straight for his chest. Like Aki, not a hologram and the weapon slammed into the ground and tore up tracks of grass on impact. The spear grounded through the soil, the ripping sound of the grass from its bed as the ground got churned.

Yet it wasn't Aki, it didn't feel of her or her own sadness and anger so facing 'her' wasn't any bit of a difficulty. It was the fact he wasn't able to 'fight' save using holograms which had all the 'damage' of being attacked by an opinion. But it was doing well in keeping Yusei where he was, no matter how much he wanted to just physically beat this fraud down.

"Sure I can open a gate, but not while my family is here," Johan explained as he looked about the field and the onlookers in the distance. "Why... are they here though? I would think people would be running..."

Like any sane western country, why on earth were people willing to stand around when tracks of land were being torn up?

And then Black Rose Dragon manifested!

She was not in her happy place.

For which the 'audience' did finally take a note and leave.

Rose was in a fury, as she erupted from the shadows below the false Rose. Black Garden was twisting into the world, coiling into the air with the same twisting fashion as though there were poles. The rustling of leaves as they unfurled could have been steel drawn from leather sheaths. Each and every leaf was pointed with a needle point edge. Black Rose Dragons' pink eyes were blood red as she shook off the fake Rose as a dog would water. Tossing back her head right before she snaked her head out to tear into the false Roses' throat!

Her vines spun out of her body, slapping away the attempts from the fake Rose to fight back. Her own viper wedged shaped head was stubbornly holding on with a bite with sharp fangs.

"That's my Rosy," Stardust began bobbing his head in approval...

The two Black Roses coiled into a fighting ball of roots and petals, even as Aki's own Witch flew back into the fray! If Yusei's deck was nothing more than holograms, Akis' was with raw power backed spirits! The Mark on his arm reflected the anger the spirits held, the violation that the mockeries presented and Aki's own approach. Two of the same type of Spirits was nothing in the eyes of Duel Spirits. No difference than two Japanese men meeting for the first time, same national point of origin. But these defilement were something only the spirits could understand and process.

After all their world had a documented beginning by a being that could be reached and conversed with. No need for scientific detective work there! More spirits entered the field and Yusei shut off his duel disk and took off running. The ground may have shook, but it didn't churn the way it did when Aki unleashed Rose against him.

While the Mark also transmitted the emotions to the other Dragons. Alerting Crow and Jack, the two least aware of the spiritual realm, that something was up.

Illuminated by the presence of Stardust Dragon, Yusei traveled through the growing battle field as he went for Trueman. Startling the spirit back into its male form as it realized Yusei wasn't going to finish the duel.

"You would abandon the duel?!" Trueman recoiled in shocked disbelief, "What honor do you have as a duelist?!" He demanded as he backed up a step as Yusei hopped over a particularly large root.

Johan was a bit stumped himself where he stood, Duelists were meant to be held at a standard. At least back home, and while he heard that Yusei was an unconventional duelist he hadn't realized just 'how' much so until now.

It wasn't Yusei summoning these spirits, the theme of the spirits didn't match his mechanical or warrior type deck. Yet he moved among them as easily as though they were his own, the Black Garden readily became a curtain pulled back for Yusei to travel through. Both Rose Dragons were whipping the other while tearing strips of bark and petals off each other.

Stardust Dragon was soaring into the pair of dragons and joined the attack against the fake Black Rose. Leaving the air awash with enough thunderous noise that he began covering his ears to soften some of the sound. 'I realize he wants me to open a portal, but what about that guy over there who's dueling? Shouldn't he be aware as well?' Johan thought to himself as he tried to see this red jacket teen with brown hair in the distance. The garden was making it difficult, certainly, so Johan began making his way there, giving the Black Garden plenty of space.

Dirt rained from the sky, he could feel the ground below roll occasionally as a root tunneled below his feet. Ruby ran ahead of him, and seeing the little smoky gray spirit struggle against unstable ground was upsetting. On the one hand he feared Ruby would twist a paw, on the other he was afraid he would break an ankle! A lamp shattered and was torn down as a root rose up and twisted it into a crumpled heap. The flash of the light as it died gave him a sight of the spirits around the other guy and the awareness this was another person like him!

Unlike Yusei who was surrounded by the spirits of another, this person had his own spirits. "Ahh do you speak English?" Johan called out as the pattering of dirt hitting the ground made it sound like heavy rain.

"You can ride on my back?" Tortoise offered as he followed along, and watched as Johan nearly fell on his face.

Whirling around, Johan looked at the loyal yet very aged face looking up at him. Emerald looked like someones' turtle grandfather, with peaks of rich emerald crystal as part of his shell...

"No, Emerald, you need to stay back!" Johan pleaded as he moved back to the aged spirit. "The grounds aren't stable!" he warned while the white eyebrows went up on the aged turtle.

"You don't have to worry about me Johan. I can help get you over there," Emerald offered with a quiet, earnest tone.

"Of course I do, we're family! Just look at how angry and dangerous the dragons are! What if they whip downward?" Johan pointed out as he tried to turn the turtle around while glancing over his shoulder. If Turtle got slammed down from one of those roots... The mental image of what could happen to this poor aged turtle made Johan's blood turn cold. "I'm going to go and grab that guy over there, you stay and keep an eye on the portal," he offered. Beating his head briefly at the worry he felt for the spirit.

Even Cat seemed to realize what was going on, Johan watched as she gracefully jumped over roots and around other obstacles in an effort to get to them. Ruby moved off and traded off with Cat guiding Emerald to the portal while Cat rubbed up against Johans thigh as a 'come on' gesture. Johan resumed the trek towards the other guy while Cat tested the ground as they moved. "Turtle would be better shielding the portal at the moment. It wouldn't do any good if they hurt themselves on the way to this mess."

"I wish I could bolster all of you to be able to do more," Johan sighed before spitting out some of the dirt that just got into his mouth. "Bleck!"

The guy that the teen was facing felt more 'real' than the ghostly image that Yusei was fighting, yet he appeared dangerous all the same. Given that he was bringing out spirits, or at least versions of spirits.

"Um hi, you need some help?" Johan asked as he reached the red jacketed teen.

"Huh? Uhh That's... English right?" Judai asked, for which he could hear the cat rumbling softly.

"I suspect he doesn't speak your language Johan," She warned as her ears flicked back while positioning herself between the Shadowy spirit and Johan.

"You think an untrained priest can stop me?" Trueman scoffed now that he got a clear view of the priest. The youth had potential, and certainly would be a threat if properly trained up. But currently the one active priest was too far away and the other was... actually a threat as her spirits were manifesting here now. It was certainly proof of her power that she could manifest so far away. His versions of her dragon and witch were blasting chunks out of his copies as well. Judai had potential, but his bond with Yubel was crippling his ability greatly.

This other priest wasn't as limited, just untrained.

'The one spirit is protecting the gate to the Spirit world, perhaps they wish to try and stop Yubels' attack on the village?' Trueman pondered. From the corner of his eye he could see his Black Rose get flung at him. The two priestlings in front of him be damned in the eye of the true Black Rose Dragon clearly.

Stardust slid under the flung body and wrapped his arms and wings around the nearly flattened pair of human children.

"Rosy, please try to remember there are people on our side that need to not be crushed like a bug..." Stardust chastised as the fake Black Rose slammed into his back and rolled back over his neck and face. 'If only we were back home, I could use my breath weapon...' Stardust thought disgruntled in thought as he pulled back on his long neck so he could lift up his head.

Even in the darkness he could see the city before him, a breath weapon would kill anyone on the road, there were several buildings still just inside the range of his attack. A light 'puff' of a breath was also meaningless. Dragons couldn't really modulate their breath weapons the way humans had learned to adjust fire or water pressure.

"If you would allow me to find the priestess that is supporting you... I can banish the rest of this fog and push that spirit away..." Rainbow Dragon finally offered. "Johan is not yet strong enough to support summoning me and giving me that much access to my abilities... If you would kindly teach him though..."

The dragon wasn't fully enough in the world to be visible given Johan was spending so much of his strength sustaining the rest of his family. But Stardust turned to look at the dragon all the same.

"I mean you can ask Aki when you find her, her deck is responsive to Yusei because they don't really get a choice. But if she's willing to let you help us, feel free," he offered lifting his beak nosed face and pointing in the direction he could sense Aki in. "Just remember she might be using public transport. If that's the case she won't respond with words, but you'll sense her power."

"Of course," Rainbow agreed before coiling up into the air for height. Sensing the priestess wouldn't be difficult given her affinity with dragons, but... well he was a strange dragon, would she be willing to tolerate his presence? Black Rose Dragon was infamous through out all of the Duel Spirit World. What was her partner to be like?

Johan and Ruby were a pair certainly, playful, lighthearted, but staunchly loyal and true friends and family through and through.

Black Rose Dragon on the other hand...

Only Stardust Dragon had the ability to interact with her safely.

'Please Crimson Dragon, let her be calm when I find her despite the severity of the current situation.' Rainbow Dragon thought to themselves as they flew off into the darkness.
