Intro: Natsu sends Lucy on a mysterious scavenger hunt one morning. What could be the big surprise she spent the entire time searching for, be?
Lucy hurriedly got dressed as soon as she saw the note on her desk, left from her best friend. ''Get ready for a scavenger hunt today, Luce! I know you were upset about me destroying everything on our last mission, so think of this as me making it up to ya!' Lucy was surprised to see the note written without any spelling mistakes. Maybe her lessons were working after all. It wasn't the best handwriting, but at least she could read it. She grabbed a lavender tank top and a white skirt and got ready to leave her apartment.
Making sure to grab her keys on her way out, she started her search. She got her first clue immediately, when the sticky note fell off her door when she opened it. 'Go to a place, where you can get your favorite milkshake.' Lucy smiled as she headed off towards the guild. This was just too easy. Calling her hellos to all the townsfolk as she made her way by, she finally got to the guild. Upon entering she ducked as a chair started heading in her direction. Some things just never change. She skipped up to the bar and sat down. "Why, hello there Lucy! I see you found where to go very quickly." Mira joked as she sat down the glass she was cleaning and went to retrieve a milkshake for Lucy. "Well, you're the only one who can make it like I like." the celestial mage stated. Mira smiled and handed over Lucy's milkshake as well as a sticky note. "Drink the milkshake first before you head off." Lucy nodded and happily started eating the milkshake.
Flipping over the sticky note, she was met with another clue. 'Go to the messiest place you can think of that you've been to here in Magnolia.' This took Lucy a few moments to get, before she guessed Natsu and Happy's place. She could be wrong, but she was willing to take the chance. Finishing up her shake, she handed the glass to Mira and stood up and got ready to leave. Once she got to Natsu and Happy's place, she wondered where exactly she should be checking. The outside, the inside, and exactly, where? She decided to check inside first, seeing as it was hot outside. She was in there for maybe 15 minutes before she found the sticky note. It was on the floor mat the entire time.
After many more clues, she finally got to the end. 'This is the last one. This is not really a clue, as much as it is a direction. Go to the Sakura Tree.' After a tiring day of this scavenger hunt, she was excited to see the words, "This is the last one", for two different reasons. One, because she was almost down. Two, she got to see her surprise. Once she arrived at the tree, she didn't see anything unusual. Starting to think of this as a prank, she grew upset. But she continued to take a look, just in case she found something. "You won't find a gift here. I didn't buy you a gift." a voice came from behind her. Startled, she jumped up and turned around. "Jeez, you can't scare me like that Natsu!" she whined before settling down. "So, what was the surprise if you didn't get me anything?" She was growing tired and just wanted to go home and get some rest. "Well...I think it will be easier to show you my surprise." Lucy looked up a little confused, seeing as he just said he did not buy her anything. However, she was cut off from saying anything as warm lips wrapped around hers.
