Chapter 13

"Be careful who you trust, remember, the devil was once an angel." -Dean Winchester

Dean got into his baby, the Impala, and Jamie got into the passenger seat. Today Dean was driving his kid brother to register for magic school, which was a sentence that Dean never thought he would even think those words. Jamie spent the drive just listening to Dean's music and watching the country passby. They were driving to Sweetwater, Texas, which was about an hour from the border of the United States and Mexico. In the small magical only town in Texas, there should be an area or a building that was there for people to register for Ilvermorny, the only magical boarding school in America that was open for the public to register to go to. There are more than that, being Salem Witches Institute, but that was a boarding school only open to witches, and furthermore, only witches that were descended from the original magicals in America.

"So, kid, where do you think you register?" Dean asked Jamie, as they pulled through the magical shield that kept the small town hidden from the no-majs, or as Jamie knew them, muggles.

"If I had to guess, I would say that it is in the post office of the town, which if I would guess, would have both muggle post and magical post, which is using owls, like Hedwig," Jamie responded, still looking out the window. As much as Dean did not want to admit it, he was really enjoying learning about a whole society that had been kept from the normal people. Also Dean had learned that he had magical blood in his veins, and if he had a kid, then the kid would most likely be magical. Thank whatever deity there is, that Dean met Jamie before he had settled down, because if he had a kid before he knew about the magical community, he sadly would have most likely thought that his kid made a deal with a demon for the powers, or was possessed by a demon. Now that was a scary thought because Dean would never hurt any kid. Dean loves kids.

Jamie watched as Dean parked in front of the post office, and both of them got out of the car. Dean followed Jamie into the building, and was amazed by the amount of owls in the office. There was a counter in the corner labeled 'Registration'. Jamie approached it, and rang a little bell. A dotty witch appeared from the shadows.

"What can I do for you young man?" She asked.

"Hi, ma'am, my name is James Oliver Winchester, but my adopted name is Harrison James Potter, and I wish to register for Ilvermory," Jamie stated.

"Ah, yes, welcome to the American magical society, Mr. Winchester. And I am guessing that this is your older brother Dean?" She stated.

"Yes ma'am."

"Alright, let me just get a small sample of blood to confirm your identity." Jamie held out a finger and the witch pricked it with a small silver dagger, and dropped the blood on a sheet of enchanted parchment. The blood sweared, and formed the words 'James Oliver Winchester, or Harrison James Potter' .

"Aright Mr. Winchester, your name is down for the fall semester, in two weeks you will get a sheet of parchment that will have you pick your classes for the fall, and two weeks after that you will get a supply list. Welcome to Ilvermorny."

"Thank you ma'am."

After that, they walked out, and Jamie brought Dean to a store that looked to Dean that was full of cleaning supplies, afterall it was full of broomsticks.

"Alright Dean, this is a quidditch supply store, we are going to buy you and Sam brooms for flying. Sam told me about your fear of flying, but I want you to see that if you are in control of it, then flying is a little bit less terrifying," Jamie instructed Dean. "Now, hold your hand out, and feel for whatever broom feels the best to you."

Dean foolishly closed his eyes, and walked around the store, until he felt like one was calling his name. He opened his eyes and saw an Air Wavy Gold, which was a racing broom made out of the magical willow. The seat of the broom was a light blue, and for some reason it felt like this broom wanted Dean to take it home, almost like it was something that already belonged to Dean. Jamie looked at the price tag, which stated the broom cost about 75 galleons, which was not bad, it also said that if you were to pay in american dollars, you would pay about $315. That was not too bad, because some bicycles cost upward of $500-$1000. Jamie had always liked spending money on people he cared about.

"Did you find a model that you like?" Jamie asked his older brother. Dean just nodded, and reached out to hold the broom. When his fingers touched it, a figure appeared in front of the two of them.

"Hello Dean," the figure stated, and looked up, his bright blue eyes piercing Dean, like he was staring into Dean's very soul.
