Chapter 14

"It is the quality of one's convictions that determines success, not the number of followers." -Remus Lupin

The figure stood still, as Dean pulled Jamie behind him. "Who are you?" Dean demanded.

"I am Castiel, and I am an Angel of the Lord. I am glad that your youngest brother has found his way to your and your brother's side. We will need his help in the fight that is to come," Castiel stated.

"What fight?" Jamie asked.

"The fight against the demons, it will take place, at your old school, James. Your old headmaster is the demon that killed your mother. My hope is that you learn the so-called 'Family Business' over your holidays, and you train your magic during the school year," Castiel stated.

Jamie just nodded.

"Dean I need your help now, I need you to keep a close eye on your brother Samuel. When he was a child, the demon bled into his mouth, so he has demon blood in his system. From what I can tell, Sam was meant to lead an army of demons, and it appears that he is Lucifer's perfect vessel, just as you, Dean are Micheal's perfect vessel. Now we do not want to start the Apocalypse, so we need to stop you from going to Hell. One thing I suggest is contacting Remus Lupin, and I will work on breaking Sirius Black out of prison. MCUSA will offer him asylum, and Remus Lupin will gladly help with Jamie if you guys are busy hunting. Also, Jamie might hate this, but I advise to contact Severus Snape. He swore an oath to protect Jamie," The angel stated. Jamie nodded, and Dean gaped at how easily Jamie had believed the man.

"Angels are real?" Dean asked, his voice sounding rough.

"Yes, your mother always told you that angels were watching over you, but what she didn't know is that I am the angel that was assigned to watch over your family. I have especially enjoyed watching over you, Dean. You fascinate me more than any other human ever. Jamie, please watch over your brothers," The angel instructed. Jamie nodded, and Dean was still in shock. He could not believe that angels existed.

"I have a question, if you guys, angels existed then why did mom have to die?" he asked.

"Sadly, she made a deal with a demon for John's life, so after ten years, her time was up, but she is in heaven and loves you boys more than anything," Castiel stated, and Dean had tears in his eyes. Jamie smiled at the angel.

"Thank you, Castiel," Jamie murmured heartfully. Castiel nodded, and touched Dean's shoulder in a gesture of comfort, and then disappeared. Jamie, without Dean noticing, paid for the broom, and lightly pulled his older brother out of the quidditch supply shop. Dean was shaken out of his shocked state by the sight of Jamie shoving him into the driver's side of the Impala. The broom went into the backseat, and Dean started up his car, starting the way back to their house, or compound.

Jamie asked if they could stop and get some food, so Dean pulled over at an old-fashioned diner. They sat down and a waitress took their drink orders, Coke for both of them, then took their food orders, Dean got a burger, while Jamie got fish and chips.

"How are you so calm about finding out that angels are real?" Dean asked his younger brother.

"Well this may shock you, but I am technically a pagen, I believe in the old gods, like Hercate, the mother of magic, so the idea of an angel or even multiple angels is not that off for me," Jamie stated calmly, as he was looking at his brother's face. Dean did not look too shocked to find out that his brother was a pagen.

"Well, I spent my whole life thinking that only demons existed," Dean stated.

"Sadly, I think that you may be wrong on that fact," Jamie teased, and Dean threw a straw wrapper at Jamie.

"So how are we going to break the news to Sam?" Jamie asked, his voice getting more serious and worried.

"I have no clue, but can we talk about that angel for a second, and please don't judge me, but he was kinda hot," Dean stated.

"Dean why would I judge you when I am bisexual?" Jamie asked.

"Wait, what is bisexual?" Dean asked.

"It means that I am attracted to both men and women," Jamie stated calmly.

"Wait, that is an option?" remarked Dean, confused.

"Yes, you can even be bisexual with a heaveir preference towards women or men," Jamie smiled at his brother, who was starting to think for himself. Dean thought and decided that he needed to think about this subject on his own time, and alone. The angel, Castiel, had literally stared right into his very soul, and it seemed that he found something that he liked because the look that he had given Dean, made Dean all hot and bothered.

"Let me think about this, but for the meantime, can you not tell anyone about this?" Dean asked desperately.

"Of course, this is your secret and it should be your choice," Jamie responded. After that their food came out, so the two brothers sat across from each other, just laughing and making jokes.

One thing that the brothers could not see, was a certain angel was watching and listening to them from up in heaven. Castiel had been in love with the soul of Dean Winchester since Dean's mother had died. In fact, Castiel was the reason why none of the other Winchesters died that night. He stood invisibly between the flames and Dean as Dean carried Sam out of the house. He had also cast a shield around John, but he saved the father to protect the son. Cas continued to watch over the brothers, and he smiled as he watched Dean take care of Jamie. Yes Dean Winchester would be perfect.
