Angel: They're gonna release Vivo on DVD in April next year and hell yes I'm gonna buy it! *eyes shine*
And this story will get updated every Friday, at least until I'm caught up enough with the show to do more updates. So far I'm only on episode 5. Happy New Year, everyone! We'll see what 2022 awaits us in terms of...well, everything XD
"Oh, man!" Tuck laughs from inside Jenny's house, inside her bedroom. Sitting on the ground is a Jonny Zoom racecar, surrounded by some pieces for the track. "I can't wait to try my new super hypersonic drag racing mean machine!" He starts working on the controls with a screwdriver. "Okay, the remote control is all set. Is the track ready?"
He looks towards his brother with a smile. Brad looks up from his clipboard. "Just one last run through. Let's see," He turns around to a very elaborate track to test the race car in that they built themselves. "Upside down shortcake, super twistzzilla, the mega fudge brownie, swoop-de-loop soup, and the piece de resistance, raging robotic ponytail plunge!"
Jenny is near the finish line and she smiles as she lays down her head. Her pigtails act as a ramp for the track and she gives an okay sign.
"Okay, Tuck, all systems are...go!" Brad exclaims without looking up.
Tuck moves the lever with the remote, moving the race car onto the track. It zips past them and they pump their fists in excitement. The two cheer and the car goes through the track with no problem. "Alright!" It felt like an actual racecar with the speed it was going at. It goes through every single path. The car approaches Jenny and before it could go over her, Mrs. Wakeman storms in, slamming open the door.
"What's going on in here?"
Jenny sits up in alarm, taking the ramp with her. The racecar goes flying off the track. "Look out!" The boys cry out in alarm. The toy goes flying towards the woman and she opens her mouth in shock. She ducks her head and then there's a crash.
Once the smoke clears, Jenny stands up and they gasp to see that the race car had crashed into Jenny's TV. The robot gives a wide-eyed look. Dr. Wakeman turns to them with a growl as she does not look pleased. Her face turns red and Jenny frowns at her expression.
"Uh, Jenny, we gotta go," Brad points towards her door, as the look on their faces suggest that they didn't want to be in trouble like she was about to be. He runs off without his brother.
"But I want my car back!" Tuck protests, only to be grabbed by Brad and dragged away without the toy. He waves to his friend while standing at the window.
"Don't forget to write!" And with that, he's gone as he dashes out the window.
"A super powered robot built to protect the planet, and you turn yourself into a child's play toy," The woman starts scolding the teenage robot. Jenny just has an exasperated look on her face at the lecture. "You need to treat your body with more respect. And pay attention to your remaining monitor."
Inside the television, however, are a few pair of eyes looking in on the conversation, which the two don't notice.
"There she is!"
"It's Wakeman!"
"We should strike now!"
"No!" The pair of eyes belong to a group of rats, who are led by their leader Vladimir, and all of them have one common personal grudge against Dr. Wakeman. "We must have patience, comrades. Indeed, we have suffered much under the cruel tyranny of Dr. Wakeman." They watched as she storms out of Jenny's room, fists clenched. "Our once strong, thick tails have been made thin, stringy, and limp!" Two rat tails go limp and they frown in disappointment. "Our subtle, sensitive ears, blackened, misshapen! And our sleek forepaws, mutated into swollen, freakish, hands!" He holds up his four-fingered gloved hands to prove his point. Thunder strikes somehow inside the monitor.
All of the rats start screaming in terror as they're reminded of their hands, staring at them. "But soon, we will have the opportunity for revenge..." As he's saying this, he's staring straight at Jenny sitting on her bed.
"You need to treat your body with more respect," Jenny mocks her mother, groaning and laying back on her bed. "Ugh! What's there to respect?! Nobody in their right mind would want a body like mine..."
"You couldn't be more wrong, foolish automaton," Vladmir rubs his hands together, turning to his rat army. "Commence Operation Lullaby!" One of them starts running on a hamster wheel, playing a record player. The record plays a soothing tune, and two move a speaker towards the TV so that it would amplify the sound.
"Being stuck in this room is so lame," Jenny complains to herself, annoyed. "And stale and...boring...and peaceful," Her eyes drift as they close. "And...calm...Huh?!" She shoots her eyes open. "Gotta stay awake...watch for trouble," She turns to her monitors as a countdown is going on.
One of the rats unplugs the screen so that she receives static, and then puts in a different plug. this switches the screen to a calming picture of the ocean, seagull sounds included. The other screens are changed to the sky as a bird flies by on one, and one of them is also of a meadow with a sheep going by.
Jenny lets out a yawn, watching a man playing a pan pipe, and it was very calm and mellow. After that, she's entirely knocked out, x's in her eyes.
"Now's our chance. Go, comrades, go! And capture the neighbor so that we may use her to our advantage, the oldest female one!" Vladimir orders his rats quietly so as not to wake up Jenny.
The rats crawl out of the vent, a picture, and the screen as they go towards Jenny. Several of them leave through the window to go over to Amy's house. The others swarm Jenny's bed, looking over her robot body one by one until their leader reaches her stomach. "Now, to enter our metallic vessel of doom!" He presses an ear to her bolt and then turns it, listening to the sound. It eventually clicks and he smiles, the panel opening. "Last one in is rotten borscht!"
He dives in, followed by the other rats. They storm in through Jenny's body and wires. "To your stations!" Vladimir orders them and they manage to log into Jenny's controls.
Meanwhile, the other rats going towards Amy's house are swarming over by road, with no one around to see them. They see a vent on the side of the house and break in through there. They arrive in the kitchen, where they see Amy's three sisters hanging out in the living room. One of them is the same age as Tuck, wearing a simple white shirt with pink overalls. She is also the same height as Tuck with short brown way hair reaching her shoulders and a white headband over her head. She has black eyes as well as the same skin tone as her oldest sister. The second sister is about 12 years old, with dark brown hair that is heavily curled behind her back, with pink lipstick on. She's wearing a dark blue blouse with blue dots all over them, as well as white jeans. She has black flats on her feet and a black beret over her head, and has black eyes. The last sister is just a year younger than Amy, with light brown hair like the oldest sister. She has it tied in a low ponytail over her shoulder, a pair of glasses over her face as her bangs rest over her shoulders. She wears a white shirt with a blue vest over it, blue jeans, and blue flats. She's reading a book while the other two sisters are watching TV, none of them aware of the rats.
Amy is sitting in bed, laying across the headboard. She's reading a magazine as her headphones are over her ears. She bops her head to the music, but relaxation stops once she hears screaming. She blinks and lifts up her headphones. She then rushes out of her room, running down the stairs.
"What's going on?" She slides into her living room to see her three sisters freaking out over a bunch of rats. They're crawling all over the floor and onto the three girls. She narrows her eyes and grabs a broom nearby without a second thought. She spins it above her head like a bo staff, knocking several away with ease. Some rats scream at her presence after seeing her moves and she sweeps them out the front door. She feels something and looks down to see rats crawling up the broom.
"Ha!" She smacks down the broom so that they go flying off and then starts kicking at them. Because they feel like they can't face her, the rats run off in fear in a pile. Amy shakes a fist angrily as she watches them leave.
"You stay away from my sisters! And don't come back, either!" She slams the door shut, sighing knowingly as she leans her forehead against it forlornly. She thought she'd be safe this afternoon, but no...
"Dr. Wakeman, not again..." She mutters to herself knowingly.
Because she lives across the street, sometimes Dr. Wakeman's inventions tend to make their way over to their house...they would move if there were houses for sale, but there aren't. Not to mention that despite the scientific experiments going awry half the time, it's a nice neighborhood, and moving out of it would mean a longer commute to school for all four girls.
She turns to her three sisters, who are hugging each other in fear. "Go lock everything and then hide in your rooms. I'm gonna go sort this out with Dr. Wakeman, again," She opens the door in annoyance. "Third time this week..."
She had been used to Dr. Wakeman's experiments for years, so mutated lab rats aren't exactly out of the ordinary for her to encounter. The special form of agony she's had to bear so far though was the explosion that resulted in taking the roof off their house, and they had to camp outside for about 2 weeks to get the house fixed. Every single time they try to talk to the woman, she keeps insisting that it's for science, though Dr. Wakeman's not annoyed by her neighbors. Especially because of the damage that can follow from her experiments, which she usually apologizes for...She herself just wished that they'd be a bit more understanding.
Jenny slowly opens her eyes, finally aware of what's going on and lets out a scream to see the rats crawling into her metallic body. She stands up and starts grabbing them from inside her, throwing them away. "Get out, get out, get out!"
"What's going on?" Vladimir asks one of his friends.
"She's awake!" A mouse exclaims, pointing towards outside. "She's awake!" Jenny's robotic hand reaches out to him from behind and he lets out a fearful scream. Vladimir gasps at her hand, narrowing his eyes.
"Hurry! Disable the central wiring system!" He sees the ones who went to Amy's house coming back in amongst Jenny's throwing, which has distracted her long enough for them to come in. "And where is the neighbor girl?!"
"She's too strong for us!"
"Bah! I'll just have to do it myself," Vladimir growls and the other rats go over to Jenny's wires. They start chomping on them, and that makes her lose control of her body. Her body stretches out, bending over so that she hits her head against the floor. As they continue messing with her systems, her stomach bloats up. Then her body parts extend, her head becomes a paddle ball, she becomes a cuckoo clock of sorts with a police light instead of pigtails and then she holds her head. She tries to get back control as she feels a little woozy.
"I'm okay...I'm okay...I'm okay..." She twitches as her head stops in place. She glances around in confusion before her head spins around. Then it falls off her own body and she looks up in shock to see Vladimir's head popping out.
"We've done it!" He grins happily. "Now Dr. Wakeman shall meet her doom! And the girl will be ours!"
"Not if I can help it!" Jenny jumps up and bites down on her foot. Vladimir tries to shake her off.
"Let go, you robotic vermin! That's my toe!"
"No, it's not! It's MY toe!" She protests back in a muffled voice, still holding on. The rat kicks her into the wall multiple times and it makes her dizzy.
"Say toodleooski to your toe and the rest as well!" He manages to kick her off and she lands on the ground, her eyes with x's in them. "Now, onto Dr. Wakeman and then, the world!" Vladimir walks over to the door and crashes right into it, making a hole as he leaves.
Tuck peeks in from the window, smiling. "Hey, can I get my car back? Jenny?" He gives a suspicious look as her room has been trashed. "Anyone here?" He asks slowly and then tip-toes in, feeling a bit creeped out. "Why is it so quiet...? Deathly quiet?" He bumps into Jenny's inactive head and feels it behind him with his hands. He turns around and sees her, and when he does, he starts screaming. To him, she looks dead. "...Oh, Jenny, I'm so sorry!" He cries out, taking hold of her head. "If my stupid car hadn't crashed, Mrs. Wakeman wouldn't have dismantled you! Don't worry, I'll take care of you." He gathers around some of her stuffed dolls, tearing up as he stares at her. "There you go. Surrounded by all your friends." He had put her in the middle of her stuffed animals, and he is just now noticing that they all have only one face. "What's there to be smiling about?!" He continues to sob in his hands. "Oh, Jenny!"
A few seconds later, she reactivates as her head has its own power system for situations like these...well, not just like these, but Mrs. Wakeman is always prepared. "You were the best freaky...creepy...robot...friend that I could ever have!" He wails out, gasping between words.
"Hey, who you callin' creepy?" She asks in offense, giving him a small glare.
"Aah, it lives!" He screeches, running off into hiding.
"Tuck, what's taking so long?" Brad peeks in from the window. "Where are ya?"
"Here..." Tuck peeks out from a large stuffed toy, shaking in fear.
"Where's Jenny?" He asks curiously as he fully steps into the room, wondering why his brother is reacting like this.
"There..." The little boy points to the bed. Brad looks over and then his mouth opens in shock to see only Jenny's head as she frowns.
"Guys, I need your help!" Jenny pleads with them.
"No kidding!" Brad walks over to her. "You're a disembodied head! What happened to you?"
Tuck comes out of hiding from behind his brother. "Mrs. Wakeman strikes again..." He states, now terrified of what Dr. Wakeman is capable of.
"It wasn't my mom, it was a bunch of her super-intelligent mutated lab rats. They've got some kind of grudge against her. I've gotta stop 'em!" She narrows her eyes and then remembers the oversight she has right now. "But how am I gonna do that without my..."
"Entire body?" Tuck finishes for her.
"Hmm..." Brad thinks of an idea.
Mrs. Wakeman is in her lab, reading a book, when booming footsteps approach. Then the door is kicked open by Vladimir. "Wakeman..." He starts off furiously.
"Yes?" She turns around and then recognizes him with glee. "Oh! Hello there." She then notices the rat in Jenny's body. "Say, what are you doing with XJ9's body, Mr. Scruffles?"
He flinches at the name, narrowing his eyes. He doesn't go by that name anymore, as he changed it when he became sentient. "No longer do I go by that clownish, lab-given name," He points to himself angrily. "I am Valdimir! Befall your doom!"
"Oh...well," She wiggles her fingers anxiously, frightened by what he could do to her. "You seem a little upset." He then starts breaking all her things and she backs away towards the wall nervously. "Now, now, let's not do anything rash," She chuckles anxiously as he storms over to her. "Can't we discuss this over a plate of cheese?"
"You can't buy yourself with your cheap, dime-store cheese!" He looms over the woman furiously.
"But it's imported!" She protests to him.
"Hey!" Tuck and Brad peek in from the door, Tuck holding a remote. They both glare at him. "Rat fink!"
"Huh?" He glances over his shoulder to see the two, confused.
"Let's get this show on the road," Brad declares, Jenny's head driving past them. They had attached her head to Tuck's toy car for her to get around. "Turn it to the left. Now right! Now go straight, straighter."
"Will you be quiet?!" Tuck shouts at the top of his lungs from the directions and Brad's backstreet instructing. "I know what I'm doing!"
However, he drives Jenny into a wall, which suggests that he didn't. "Reverse, reverse, reverse!" Brad calls out, waving his hands rapidly. Tuck drives Jenny into the wall multiple times with an anxious look, much to her irritation.
"Oh, what are you guys doing?!" Jenny shots at them.
"Destroy the infidels!" Vladimir demands, pointing her own robot hand at her. "Yes, yes, power bomb!" It seems like it was going to fire a laser, and instead, it releases bubbles. They pop in his face and he glares down at his allies, now embarrassed. "You fools! I said power b-" The laser is fired from the hand and Jenny gets moved out of the way, being swerved back and forth to avoid them.
Brad glares down at Tuck for the mundane movement, hands on his hips. "Is that the best you can do?"
"You wanna try?" Tuck retorts back.
"Yes!" Brad grabs the remote from his brother, who fights for it back. His older brother holds onto his head, trying to get it free.
"Let...go...!" He struggles to say, annoyed.
Amy suddenly comes into the house, not looking happy as she storms over to the lab. She wants to give her a neighbor a piece of her mind for this. She and her family can only take so much from the woman. "Dr. Wakeman, I have had it this week with your experiments," Amy speaks up with an angry look as she slams open the door. "Your rats somehow got out and now they're..." She blinks as she sees Vladmir in Jenny's body. "Terrorizing...my...house..." She finishes slowly.
"Yes, I can see that, Amelia," Dr. Wakeman calls out nervously from her spot.
"You came at a bad time," Brad deadpans at her.
"Uh, guys?" Jenny calls out as Vladimir is aiming his hand at her again to fire another laser. Amy gasps at what was happening, about to step in. But then the laser stalls and it sputters, with only smoke flying out of the hand, to his surprise.
"What's going on down there?!" Vladimir demands to the control center. "I need action now!"
"We're doing the best we can," One of his comrades reports as everything is breaking down in Jenny's body, mainly because they don't know her schematics that well. "But the system's overloaded!"
"Now you'll see some real driving," Brad brags to Tuck, who has his arms crossed while glaring up at his brother. He drives Jenny around and she glances back at her friends.
"Smash me into my central computer hub," She orders, and Brad drives to a ramp, which soars her into the air, heading towards her body.
"Hurry, I need power fist!" Vladimir urges the control center, and he gets a giant robotic fist with spikes. "Yes, good." But then a rocket appears on the back, baffling him. "Huh?!" He starts flying around the room, causing Jenny to miss as she crashes onto the ground. Tucket smirks up at Brad, a wheel going over to Dr. Wakeman.
"We need to end this demolition derby," She rubs her chin. "Before XJ9 destroys herself," She peeks out the window, noticing the pool in the backyard. Vladimir in the meanwhile is flying out of control, breaking through a wall. Amy winces as she looks away, confused by what's going on.
"What have I stepped into here?" She asks herself.
"Bring Jenny in for a pit stop," Dr. Wakeman tells the boys.
"What are you doing?!" Now Vladimir is doing a headstand, flinching as he sees Jenny heading for him. "She's right under us. Smash her!" However, she drives right past his head, and the body falls down.
"What's up?" Jenny wonders and then sees Amy. "Hey, you're the girl I saw a few days ago!" She beams up at her, the girl flinching.
"Um...hi?" She waves nervously. "So that's you over there?" She looks over to Vladimir.
"Well, no, my body," The robot head replies and Amy blinks.
"Okay then..." She murmurs to herself, deciding not to ask, it was probably better if she didn't know.
"Anyway, if girl time is over, we have a plan," Dr. Wakeman speaks up. Vladimir meanwhile is getting knocked on the head over and over.
"Stop, stop," He calls out in pain.
"We can't, we can't!" One of the rats reports back.
"Okay, sounds good," Jenny says after hearing the plan. "But I'd do better on autopilot."
"Autopilot?" Tuck wonders in alarm, snatching the remote back from Brad. He would've known if there's an autopilot for this thing, they did spend hours on building it. "There's no autopilot." When looking down at the remote, there was indeed an autopilot button right behind the stick. "Oh," He chuckles awkwardly, Brad and Amy raising a brow at him. "Will you look at that? Heh heh, hmm..."
"You set everything up," Jenny tells them. "I'll lead the big boy outside," She turns around and heads for her body, where the stomach is now pulling an umbrella up and down.
"What are you idiots doing?" Vladimir demands to his group.
"Hey, pierogi-breath," Jenny gets his attention, right next to her foot. "Come and get me!" She bumps into it hardly and he jumps up and down, holding the robot foot.
"Yikes!"
She drives herself out the door, with Vladimir chasing after her angrily. She goes down the staircase rails, with her body tumbling down the steps. The rat lands in front of the door just as Jenny goes out. She goes through a small doggy door, Vladimir growling as he sits up. He kicks open the door, the robot girl head glancing back with a smirk on her face. She revs up the wheels and takes off, Vladimir falling for it as he chases her. She goes off a ramp that was set up, soaring over the water and landing safely on the other side. She turns the car around, satisfied as Vladimir trips from a wire, unable to stop himself from landing in the water. The others reveal themselves with grins on their faces.
"Yeah!" Tuck cheers, holding up his hand. "High fiii..." He stops himself as he remembers that Jenny still doesn't have her body back. "Never mind."
Due to the pressure of the water, the bolts inside break off, and it starts to flood the control center. The rats look around.
"You fools! We're sinking!" Vladimir exclaims at them. "Ignite the rocket boosters! Get us out of here!"
One rat sweats a lot as he's in front of the rocket booster button, slowly reaching out his finger. "Must...push...button. But...rat...instinct too...strong. Must...abandon ship!" He shouts the last two words at the top of his lungs, the other rats running off screaming. They make a break for it as they reveal themselves out in the open, swimming away.
"No, you fools! Come back here!" Vladimir shouts, Brad scooping them up with a net. Amy gets the other side and they both put the rats in a trash can, which Tuck closes with a smile.
"Hooray!" He cheers, Dr. Wakeman looking around in alarm.
"Where's Mr. Scruffles?"
Vladimir salutes as he sinks, Dr. Wakeman cannonballing in the pool to save him. The four watch in anticipation before she gets out a few seconds later, holding the rat...in her mouth.
"Gross," They all say in unison.
The next day, pest control comes by to pick them up. As soon Amy's parents heard about the rat incident from one of their daughters, they called them to get the rats away from their home and away from the neighborhood. Tuck looks outside Jenny's window, a little sad.
"Gee, I know they were mutant vermin bent on destroying humanity, but I can't help feeling a little sorry for them," He looks up at Jenny, who was draining the last of the water out of her robot body.
"Not me," Jenny states with a glare, angry for what they did. "They got what they deserved for turning my body into their play toy, and for what they did to Amy too," She places her hand back in place.
"We shall play again, robot," Their eyes widen as Vladimir was left behind. "I shall have my revenge on you, Wakeman, and all of humanity!" He's stuck in a cage, so he's not really much of a threat now.
"Ooh, a certain Mr. Scruffles sounds a little cranky~ Well, I have a couple of experiments that will cheer you up. And when we're done, you'll be ready for my little surprise. Ta da!" She holds up a pair of red pants with white buttons on it, and he gives a look of horror.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Jenny couldn't help but think how was the girl doing now that she knew she has a robot for a neighbor...
Amy has her arms crossed as she glares at the pest control van getting away. She's just glad that they won't be terrorizing anyone else from now on...she glances to Jenny's house, not sure how to feel. A robot teenager lives in her neighborhood now...that's something she definitely didn't know about. She shrugs a bit as she walks towards her house.
It wasn't like they'd be friends anyway.
