"After 15 years the Angels have returned , it's all too sudden"- Said one of the old men
"It's just like 15 years ago . Calamity never warns before striking"- Said another one
"This might also considered a blessing , all our investments were worthwhile"- Said another one
"That remains to be seen. If it is not useful, it is the same as wasted money"- Said another one
"Indeed. Information regarding the Angels is spreading across the public , we need a disinformation campaign , Nerv's work must be carried out both properly and quickly"- Said another one
"Those concerns are already being addressed. Rest assured"-Said Gendo as the old men were not assured
"Well that is definitely true, still Ikari . Are you sure that you can trust Unit 1 to someone like that ?"-said one of the men
"His criminal record shows that he can be a major danger to the project, also the destroyed buildings will cost a big sum of money to repair "- said one of the men
"People , Time , And Money . You and your son seem to have insatiable appetite for funding"
"I want to remind you that the human instrumentality project is your top priority"- Said one of the men
"That project is the only glimmer of light in this desperate situation" - said another one
"In any event , there can be no pushing back the project's timetable due to the Angels arrival .Your budget request will be considered, We will take this from now on-Said another one
"Good work, Ikari " - Said one of them as 5 holograms of 6 disappeared
"Ikari there is no turning back" - Said the last one as it disappeared

One of the members of the conference . A short and old man with a face that someone could compare to a rat stranded off his chair and took his cane as another man entered the room.
"Our sleeping agent is in"- Said Rye as the old man chuckled
"The world will change , if our plan will work correctly the instrumentality will just be a distant memory" - Said the man as he took the glass of Whisky .
"I still don't trust him, Mr. Nezu . What if he pulls off a stunt and we will be exposed ?"- Said Rye as Mr Nezu looked across the window
"He is too smart for that , it's only a matter of time before he will find out about instrumentality . If he will stop the Nephilim from uniting with Lilith the real game will start . Ikari Shinji will change this World . For both the good and bad , SELLE will be destroyed and we can finally do something about this pathetic world"- Said Mr Nezu as he continued to look across the window
GEOFRONT
"Are we finished Ritsu ?" - Shinji Ikari asked as he was laying on a Hospital bed
"Yep, we're done"- Ritsuko said as Shinji jumped off his bed.
"Fucking finally"- Shinji said as he left the room . But there is only one thought left in his mind 'Rei'. His half sister that he learned about a couple hours ago . Who was she ? Why did nobody tell him ? WHY DID SHE LOOKED EXACTLY LIKE MOM ?! He kept thinking as he saw Rei on a hospital bed . Shinji waved to her and showed her a smile as he got no reaction from her . 'What kind of a person is she ? Is she drugged or something ? I will definitely need to check her meds'. Shinji continued to walk as he saw Misato with his things . After that, they went to the elevator . After the elevator door opened Shinji saw his father and showed him a middle finger, they stood like that for a minute before the door closed.
"What ? he will be living alone ?"- Misato asked as Shinji lit a cigarette
"Correct. His quarters will be here in the Geofront , is this acceptable ?"- Gendo asked
"Yeees sir"- Shinji said with a disrespectful tone
"Are you sure about this Shinji ?"- Misato asked as Shinji said
"Yeah , i lived alone for the last 10 months it's not a difference"- Shinji said as Misato looked at him
'Oh no , you lived alone for too long'- Misato thought as an idea came to her head
"What did you say ?!"- Ritsuko asked as she talked with Misato on the phone
"I said Shinji will be living with me ! I got permission from the top brass !"- Misato said as Shinji observed the situation in his new purple NERV jacket and still wearing his A-10 clips
"Don't worry, I wont mess around with some kid"- Misato said as Ritsuko screamed from the other side of the phone
"Of course you won't! Don't even suggest that !"- Ritsuko said as Misato putted the phone away
Half an hour passed and Shinji and Misato made their way out of the Geofront both wearing bluetooth headsets to keep talking .
"Right , then! We have to celebrate in style tonight !"-Misato said as Shinji had a curious expression on his face
"Celebrate what ?"-Shinji asked
"That i have a new roommate of course"-Misato said as she was finally able to ask the question she wanted ask since she checked Shinji's bag for his transfer papers
"Shinji ?"
"Yes ?"
"Who is that Takuro Hiei ?"- Misato asked as she could see Shinji shiver at the mention of that name
"That is classified"- Shinji said with the most serious voice he could make
"Why ? was he "- Misato tried to ask as Shinji stopped her mid sentence
"I TOLD YOU THAT ITS CLASSIFIED !"- Shinji screamed as Misato was shocked by the tone of his voice . It was not plain fury , more like a mix of different emotions
"Okay , okay"- Misato said as she looked at him and kept wondering why he is so scared when talking about that person . After they bought the groceries they finally took their way to Tokyo 3 .
"We're gonna make a stop ok ?"-Misato said as Shinji was ready to answer, a group of 5 to 6 bikes passed them going almost 250 km/h . While Misato was pressing the horn Shinji smiled and said .
"Well i'm now happy , racing is here and i will finally try the new turf"- Shinji said as Misato looked at him
"You don't think about Racing are you ? " - Misato said as Shinji smirked and looked at his bike . He spent 4 years mastering his racing technique .
"Of course I will , remember ,,My Rules" ? That is one of them . Tokyo 3 has one of the best layouts for racing . And now that I have the time I need, Project VTEC can finally be executed . Shinji answered as Misato was thinking about a comeback but she finally remembered what Ritsuko said to her
"You really planned everything just to embarrass your old man ? Wow you almost gave everyone a heart attack"- Misato said as Shinji smirked
"Yep it was always my plan , just embarrass my old man"-Shinji said as both he and Misato chuckled.
"Oh we are here"- Misato said as she got out of the car and Shinji got off his bike and saw the city where the duo were making their way .As Shinji was stunned by the buildings were rising from the ground
"Wow"-Shinji said as he was observing the city rising
"Welcome to Tokyo 3 the city you saved"- Misato said
"I think your boxes are already here, actually i only moved here recently myself"-Misato said as they made their way through the apartment complex that reminded Shinji of his apartment in Neogoya . Except that this apartment corridor was clean and no graffiti or drunks laying on the floor . As Misato opened the door she looked at Shinji and said
"Come on in"-Misato said as Shinji was pretty shy
"Listen , thank you for having me . It will be the first time in almost a year that i will be living with someone"- Shinji said as he entered the apartment
"Shinji this is your home now"-Misato said as Shinji said
"Well todaima then"-Shinji said
"Welcome home"-Misato said as she closed the door
"I know that there is a little mess" - Misato said as Shinji facepalmed .
'You call this little ?'-Shinji thought as what he saw was a total catatonia of trash .Yebisu cans and other bottles that contained alcohol we're laying around like Death bodies in Neogoya
"Also, can you put the groceries into the fridge ?"-Misato asked
"Fine"-Shinji said as he opened the fridge
"Ice Snacks and Beer ? What is this Kaneda's room ?" - Shinji said out loud as he finally checked his phone .
"250 missed calls ?"-Shinji thought as he finally pressed the call button
"JESUS CHRIST SHIN WHAT THE HELL ?!" - Kaneda screamed on the other side of the phone
"Oh hey Kaneda "-Shinji said as his ears were still ringing from Kaneda's scream
"Shin , where did you get a giant robot ? Purple and green are your trademark so dont say that it's not you"- Kaneda said as Shinji scratched his head
"My old man called me here just to pilot that thing . I told him either you pay me or I'm out . So 700 000 yen landed in my pocket . I have a place to sleep so tell everyone I'm ok"-Shinji said as he put down the phone as he noticed the second fridge .
"Misato, why is there another fridge ?"- Shinji asked as Misato was changing in her room
"Oh, leave that one alone. I hate to bother someone when they're sleeping"- Misato said as Shinji wondered what she meant
"Let's eat !"- Misato said as she took a sip out of her beer can
"KYAAAAAAAHHH, This is what makes life worth living !"- Misato said as Shinji looked at her
'So she is a functional alcoholic gureto daze'-Shinji thought as he looked at the takeout
"Are you not hungry ? I know it's takeout but it's really good !"-Misato said as Shinji looked
"Well i'm not used to eat like this"- Shinji said as Misato as misato tilted herself to Shinji
"Are you being picky ?!"
"No but you could tell me you can't cook . I can cook next time"- Shinji said as Misato tilted back herself
"isn't this nice ? Sharing a meal with someone ?" -Misato asked as Shinji blushed
"Kinda , it's actually the first time in my life I live with a woman"- Shinji said as Misato had a curious expression .
"What about your mother ?"
"I don't know . I remember her, and my uncle always talked about her and showed me her photos . I know how she looks but sometimes it feels like a distant memory . She died in a lab accident so bad that her whole body disappeared . And uncle died in a public drive-by so I was living alone and working to pay the bills. I didn't want to go to the orphanage so I kept working and paid the bills . Now i have some family friends that pay the bills while i'm out here saving the world"- Shinji finished his monologue as Misato pulled him in a tight embrace
"Umm ?" - Shinji tried to say while his face was buried in Misato's ,,Attributes"
"Im sorry , I knew you had rough . But remember that your safe now"-Misato said as she letted Shinji go
"Well now is the time to order the parts "- Shinji said as he opened his laptop with Yahoo auctions booted up .
"And ordered" - Shinji said as Misato checked his laptop
"You ordered a whole engine ? and a touch screen ? alongside a whole list of performance upgrade parts ? "- Misato asked as Shinji smirked
"I want to take the VTEC mechanism out and put it into my cbr. Also new touchscreen to weigh down the bike . The switches and lights are kinda heavy . My goal is so that the bike will now have 280 horsepower . Also to sell the VFR and get some of my money back"-Shinji said as Misato looked at him impressed
"You are a mechanic ?"- She asked
"My uncle taught me everything he knew"- Shinji said as he and Misato splitted off the chores . As Shinji finally made his way to the bath . He opened the door and he saw a penguin ?!
"FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK MISATO ?! WHY THERE IS A PENGUIN IN THE BATH!"- Shinji screamed as he runned out of the bathroom
"Oh you mean him ? That's Pen-Pen , he is a warm-water penguin and our other roommate "- Misato said as Pen-Pen waddled out of the bathroom and returned to his fridge , it was this moment when Shinji noticed that he was completely naked and runned back to the bathroom
'Katsuragi Misato , I think I can trust you'-Shinji thought as he laid in the bathtub. After the bath Shinji finally got to work on his Jacket and put on the patches . On the back there was his insignia crossed with The Capsules logo and took off the NERV insginia and replaced it with patches of automotive logos and other companies like Marlboro and Cannon. After that he finally got to his new room and laid on his bed
"Shinji, I'm opening the door. I know that you had a hard life but you can always talk to me . And people will thank you for what you did , good night Shinji"- Misato said as she closed the door
AD 2014
NEOGOYA
"They are heading to the tunnel , quickly !"- Takuro screamed as he started making his way to the tunnel with Shinji following him . Takuro and Shinji were far from the rest so it was their job to get rid of the clowns .
"TAKE THIS !"- One of them screamed as a Handmade grenade hit Takuro . For few more seconds Shinji skipped a heartbeat as he saw his best friend laying on the street
"TAKURO !"-Shinji screamed as he pressed hard on the brakes and quickly took the photo of the bike that threw the grenade
"Sh-Shinji (cough)"- Takuro said as he was in critical condition . few seconds later Kaneda and the rest arrived
"Holy shit Takuro ! What the hell happened ?"- Kaneda screamed as Shinji called the Ambulance
"Oh my god" - Kaisuke said as he puked on the ground
"It's really bad with him ! "- Yamagata said as he helped Shinji secure Takuro from the burning corpse of his motorcycle
"Kaneda , what now ?"-Tetsuo asked him as he looked at Kaneda who was on the verge of tears
"Ambulance is coming " - Shinji said as they could hear police sirens
"R-Run"-Takuro gasped as Shinji's heart was on the edge
"We can't just leave you here"-Shinji said as Takuro slapped him with a bit of strength he still had
"D-Don't be such a (cough) baby now Run ! All of you ! Get out of here !" - Takuro screamed as Shinji took a last look before driving off and Takuro showed him a thumbs up . That was the Last time he saw Takuro Hiei alive .
"NOOOOOOOO!"-Shinji screamed as he woke up and saw Misato sitting beside him with light being on
"Shhh Shinji you had a nightmare"-Misato said as she pulled him to her embrace as Shinji sobbed in her chest. After a few minutes he was finally able to sleep .
Next days came and went . Shinji installed the VTEC and the new parts . After that he sold the old parts so he still had 500.000 in his pocket . Right now Shinji was standing in his new school uniform still wearing his Jacket and his A-10 clips . He parked the bike in the parking spot and made his way to class 2-A . When he heard that he can enter he saw a group of curious students looking at him as he bowed and said just as Misato instructed
"My name is Ikari Shinji , pleasure to meet you"
A/N : So yeah this is the start of something I call ,,Settlement arc" .Since this the beginning of the arc i decided that it will just be an entry to the bigger story. It will be started here, filled out with the next filler chapter and wrapped off in the battle with Shamshel . And for those that don't know, Takuro and the rest of Hieis are my OC's. Also here is something new
NEXT TIME ON HIGHWAY STAR : Shinji will finally talk with his sister Rei ! Will meet some of his classmates and form beginnings of new friendships ! Highway Star will make his debut in Tokyo 3 ! And also meet a figure from his past he did not expect to see ! TO BE CONTINUED
