Angel: Okay, so this one almost got me because I do not speak Japanese, at most I took three years of French, which is entirely different. What I did was I had to look up what Jenny was saying only in English, so just pretend she's speaking in Japanese for the entire episode (and that the Japanese people are speaking it too) because I'm not even gonna bother trying to type out Japanese...so yeah, might be a cop-out, but I could care less by the end of the day.
A citizen in Japan screams in terror, and so do other people running around in panic because right now, there's something going on. In the moon in the sky, two figures fly up, landing in the midst of the chaos. The duo are Jenny and Amy in her superhero form. Jenny grabs a man by his shoulders. "What's wrong?" She asks in concern, but he just looks confused.
"Eh..."
Some whirring is heard and Jenny suddenly spoke in Japanese. "What's happening?" She asks him and Amy just stands there, looking around since she doesn't speak Japanese. Her sister Claudia does though, but that doesn't help her...
"Look over there!" He points behind him, and the two are shocked to see foreboding shadows in the distance with yellow eyes. They look like tiny cat people with fangs and claws, and they don't look friendly either. One of them hops forward, the others doing the same. The citizens all scream at this.
"Don't panic!" Jenny says in English, and then switches to Japanese. "Don't be scared!" They stop and stare at the two as she holds out her arms. "Take cover. Everyone, hide! Amy," She nudges the girl, leaning forward. "There should be a translation system programmed. Just look for the button."
"Um...okay?" She asks in confusion, looking inside her helmet. Indeed there's a translation button inside and she looks at it. The button turns into a retinal scan for her, and then it scans one of the citizens. "We will protect you!" An automated voice translates to the group and she blinks in shock. The voice sounds similar to hers, but not enough for people to determine who she is. "...Cool," She remarks with a small smirk.
Everyone divides themselves into groups to find hiding spots big enough to hide them in. They peek from their hiding spots, the two glancing at the villains around them. Jenny narrows her eyes while Amy wiggles her fingers, staring them down as well. They wait for an attack and one of the cat people lunges forward with a snarl. Jenny simply raises a fist with a smirk and bonks him on the head. She and Amy watch as the creature disappears into thin air.
Another one hisses, but Jenny gestures to him at the brunette. She smiles and bonks him on the head. The two do the same thing with the others, but in funny ways, and soon, all of them disappear...but then they turn around in shock to see not only more of them, but a huge one. The biggest one jumps into the air that it whistles, Jenny glancing around. She notices something nearby.
"Hey!" A Japanese person pops out of his hiding spot. "Toss me a pipe! Throw a pipe," She translate the last sentence, looking up in worry as the big cat creature is soaring back towards them. The kid tosses Jenny a pipe. "Thanks!" She says in Japanese, waiting for it. Once the cat gets in front of her, she swings her bat and it disappears. Amy flips and lands on each cat, getting rid of all of them.
"Yay! Homerun!" More cat creatures appear and the two flinch. Jenny looks up at a globe from a statue nearby, tearing it off. She tosses it like a bowling ball, getting rid of them. "Strike!"
"Yaaay!" Everyone cheers for the duo, the globe rolling back towards them.
"Here you go," A little girl hands the two of them gifts.
"Thank you very much!" The duo say happily in Japanese...well, Amy's automated voice saying it. They flinch as they see the giant globe, screaming and running away. Jenny raises a brow in confusion and Amy turns around just as the globe is out of sight.
"What was that?" She wonders and then the globe lands right behind Jenny, hitting her in the back of the head. As it does this, a CD flies out of her mouth and she lands on the ground. The giant globe lands in a window, the CD rolling to the little girl. "Jen! You okay?!" Amy bends down to her in concern. The citizens murmur at this as Jenny stands up, holding her head.
"I'm okay," She answers in Japanese still to Amy and the people.
"Excuse me! Excuse me!" The little girl calls out while holding the disc.
"I'm okay! Well, bye!" Jenny waves to them as they both fly off, Amy raising a brow at the robot. The girl shouts up to the both of them, waving the disc still.
"Hey, robot!"
Neither of them hear her and Amy is too far away to speak to her.
Jenny goes to Tuck and Brad while the brunette had already left to go transform back to meet up with them. The boy waves to her as she flies down. "Hey Brad, Jenny's back!" He calls out and they run up to her. Amy runs across the street back to normal. "Hi, Jenny. How was Japan?"
"Good afternoon!" Jenny greets them, the brunette blinking in confusion that she's still speaking Japanese.
"Konichiwa? Cool!" Tuck smiles up at her and she holds out presents for the both of them. "Oh, for us?"
"Oh, you didn't have to bring these," Brad smiles at the robot. "Where's Amy's gift?"
"Um, she has to expedite it," Amy lies as she bites her cheek.
"But she could just fly it over..." The boy states in confusion. "And how do you know that if she just got back here?"
"She...called me! Yup, it's so special that I have to wait longer for it," Amy sighs in relief as Brad drops his suspicion. That was a close call for sure...
"Yeah," Jenny looks away with a smile.
"Oh ne," Tuck laughs at his brother, who joins in on it.
"I gotta run to the mall. Hey Jen, Amy, you guys wanna come?" Brad offers them.
"Um, sure, Claudia can watch after Emily and Piri," Amy glances at her house.
"Let's go," The robot responds, Brad looking confused at what she said. Amy too looks confused as she stares at Jenny.
"Huh?"
"What? Do you have garbage stuck in your ears?" Jenny looks annoyed by their confusion. "I love shopping." Her eyes widen as she finally realizes that she's not speaking English, and they don't understand a word of what she's saying. "I can't stop speaking Japanese! Why can't I stop speaking Japanese?!" Brad just glances down at his brother. "Why?!" She screams as she runs off towards her house, Amy blinking. She slams the door shut.
"Well, I'm late to the mall," Brad walks off with a smile. "I'll see you guys later."
"And I'm late to the opening of my present," Tuck smiles and walks off with it.
"Hm," Amy rubs her chin as she tries to think about why Jenny is speaking Japanese and how did that happen. She walks off towards her house, deciding not to go to the mall anymore in case something happens in town. Like Jenny, she has a monitor installed in her room, but a silent one and it's hidden in her wall (thanks to Jenny installing it for her after asking her mom how to do it). If her sisters ever stumbled onto that thing...
Jenny gasps and then turns around happily to Amy. The girl flinches in alarm at the robot's look at her. "Claudia speaks Japanese and English!" She exclaims in realization, grabbing Amy's hand and dragging her across to her house.
"Whoa! Slow it down, Jen," Amy tries to calm her down as Jenny throws open the door. She grabs Claudia from the couch in the living room, dragging the both of them to her house.
"I need your help!" She exclaims to the both of them, Amy still confused.
"What's up with Jenny?" Claudia whispers to her sister.
"I wish I knew, she's been like this for awhile," She whispers back. Jenny throws open the door to her mom's lab.
"Something's wrong!" Jenny exclaims to her mother. "I can only speak Japanese! I can't speak English at all! I've become a Japanese robot! This is bad!"
"XJ9," Dr. Wakeman holds up a hand. "You must slow down. Japanese is not my forte." Claudia meanwhile has a look of understanding.
"I can't speak English!" The robot points to herself.
"Uh, you want sushi?" Dr. Wakeman wonders, still not understanding Jenny at all.
"I can't speak English," Jenny repeats herself slowly.
"You need to go to the dentist?" The woman raises a brow in confusion.
"I can't speak English," She says it very slowly this time.
"You want to play charades?" Jenny shakes her head and then she realizes that it could help get the message to her mother. She points down with a happy smile, nodding. "Oh, goody," Dr. Wakeman sits in a chair. "I love charades!"
Jenny holds up her hand. "Four words." The robot extends her eye into her mother's face, winking. "Eye." The robot points to herself and then makes a little doll appear out of her stomach, and it does the can-can, while the music plays. The doll slowly moves backwards while dancing and then bends down before Jenny closes it. "Uh, can-can?"
Jenny moves her hands together, gesturing to shorten it. "Can! I can!" Dr. Wakeman beams and Jenny then ties one of her arms into a knot. "Knot! I cannot...uh..." Jenny points to her mouth. "I cannot pat my tummy and rub my head at the same time." She shakes her head as that wasn't even close to the answer. "I cannot bungee jump while painting my toenails." Jenny glares and drops her arms. "I cannot stop eating cheese in my milkshake."
Amy shakes her head while Claudia just groans in disbelief. This was painful to watch...
"No! What are you doing?" Jenny protests as it's supposed to be four words and yet her mom is getting it so wrong.
"I cannot stop petting those cute little puppies," Dr. Wakeman giggles and Jenny facepalms. She growls and shakes her fists.
"This is troublesome!"
"Oh, this is impossible," Her mother crosses her arms. "How can we play charades if you cannot speak English?" Jenny flinches in surprise as she just went through all of that and NOW her mother gives her the answer. "Let's go find out what's wrong," She walks off and Jenny just shrugs.
Her pigtails are brought together as she's sitting in a machine, a cone being placed over her head. A scan appears nearby and a red dot beeps from her mouth, indicating that's where the problem is. The two girls just watch nearby. "Hmm," Dr. Wakeman rubs her chin. "Open your oral drive, XJ9."
She does so, revealing several discs, the middle being missing. "Aha! You're missing your language OS disk."
An alarm goes off in the room, Amy flinching as she recognizes it. Dr. Wakeman gasps as she steps forward. "XJ9, there's a fire in town!" The brunette gasps quietly to herself.
"Well, see you later," Jenny flies into the ceiling to go take care of it.
"Uh, sounds good," Her mother responds in confusion.]
"Hey, Dr. Wakeman, you wanna learn this really cool Japanese phrase?" Claudia asks suddenly.
"Oh, well, I suppose so," The woman rubs her chin, smiling at them.
Claudia then clears her throat, Amy raising a brow at her. "Anata wa sharedo o suu!" She simply recites, Amy blinking at her.
"Ooo, what a wonderful phrase!" Dr. Wakeman closes her eyes in glee. She then blinks in confusion as she still doesn't speak Japanese. "Uh, but what does it mean, dear?"
Claudia gives her a Japanese to English translation book. "Look it up."
"Alrighty then," She flips through the pages, the older sister looking at Claudia.
"What does it mean?"
"Let her translate," Claudia holds up a hand. "It'll be funnier."
"Ah, here we are!" Dr. Wakeman beams once she finds it, reading it out loud. "Anata wa sharedo o suu translates to 'you suck at charades'," She blinks in shock, taken aback from the translation. "What?!"
Amy snickers and Claudia laughs along with her. Both of them immediately stop once Dr. Wakeman gives them a death glare. The two clear their throats and smile widely, running out of there back towards their house.
Amy hugs a wall and glances around to make sure no one's watching her. She presses on her brooch, transforming into her superhero identity and flying out into the sky. Claudia blinks as she glances up to the sky and sees nothing. She then shrugs and goes back to her home.
Someone in Tremorton screams similar to the way that it happened in Japan. People are panicking as some buildings are indeed on fire. Over the sun, two shadows appear, just like how the two flew over the moon in Japan. The duo land in the middle of the road, seeing the screaming people.
"Don't be scared!" Jenny orders them, but because she's still speaking in Japanese, they don't understand her.
"Uh, did you get that?" A man asks someone as they just stand there in confusion. They talk amongst themselves to try and figure out what's going on with her. And they notice Amy standing next to Jenny, murmuring at her.
"Who is that?"
"Another robot?"
"Where'd she come from?"
The girl sighs in relief that no one knows who she is. "Everyone don't panic!" She steps up as she addresses the crowd. "My friend and I are here to save the day! There is no need to panic."
They stare at her and then start screaming again, as apparently that didn't work on them.
"Probably not the best approach, I'll admit..." She tells her friend, and people run in circles while they're panicking over the fires again.
"Hide!" Jenny instructs them, but they freeze and stare at her. The robot and Amy give blank looks, raising a brow. A man runs up to the both of them and Jenny grasps his arms, stopping him in place.
"Hey! Please help! Please help everyone pass!" She pleads with him and he gently pushes her off him.
"Lay off the threads, Mama. I can't understand a word you're saying," He tells her and if Amy could facepalm, she would. "If you're going to stay in this country, you gotta learn to speak English," He walks away from her and they stare.
"Hey! She's saying to help us!" Amy calls out to him, but he ignores her. "Hello?!" She grunts in annoyance at this and then they hear fire horns. They turn to see a fire truck approaching, Jenny beaming happily in hopes that they'll understand. The firefighters jump out from the back.
"Thank goodness! I was about to give up!" Jenny exclaims happily as they approach the duo. They just stare at her like she has a second head.
"I think it's Japanese," The police chief says to the others, horribly confused. "Do you know Japanese?"
They all talk to each other, all of them saying that they don't know Japanese and they don't know a lick of what Jenny is saying to them.
"Hi, I'm her friend," Amy waves to the four, getting their attention. "She's lost her way of communicating English, and-"
"Ah! So you can help translate," The police chief interrupts her happily and she rubs the back of her metallic neck.
"Well, no, I don't speak Japanese, so I can't really-"
"Quick, to the library!" The chief interrupts her and she opens her mouth in shock as they jump into the fire truck and go in the opposite direction!
"Oh, come on!" Amy exclaims at this in exasperation. Jenny stares at the truck wide-eyed, frowning as she drops her shoulders.
Tuck has that exact same expression in his own home. "Okay, I give up," He looks at his present, as he's spent a lot of time trying to figure out what exactly Jenny gave him. And after finally setting everything up, even putting the thing in a test tube like the instructions said. But for the life of him, he couldn't figure this out. "What is it?" He looks at the paper of directions, which are also in Japanese and not translated into English. "Let's take another look at this gobbledygook. Ooh, what's this?"
He sees some pictures associated with the test tube. "Test tube plus water drop equals frowny face. Test tube plus no water equals happy face." He stares at it for a couple of seconds. "It must mean to add water!"
He puts in a single drop of water, and whatever the thing was, it reacts with a scream. "Cool!" Tuck remarks, adding more and it grows. "Cool!" He frowns as the thing gets bigger, overflowing the test tube and breaking it. "Whoa!" He was staring at a medium-sized sponge creature. "Easy, boy. Easy. You want some water?" He feeds it water, and it reacts angrily, growing even bigger. Tuck backs away from it.
"Stay back!" He notices his water gun nearby and picks it up. "I said stay back, you filthy slime!" He moves away in fear as the thing advances towards him. "Don't be a fool. You have your whole life ahead of you!"
He squirts the creature with water, and it growls, growing even bigger. Tuck runs out of his house and the thing grows so big it breaks the entire living room... "Oh no! My dad's gonna kill me!" Tuck cries out in fear, pulling out the instructions. "What did I do wrong?"
He runs down the hill, the creature trailing water as he follows Tuck into town.
A burning building is about to crash when Jenny holds it down. Amy is about to help when a scream is heard and she looks up in alarm to see some people looking out the window. "Jen, keep holding it, I've gotta do something!" She flies into the air with her rockets, floating in front of the window.
"I need water!" Jenny cries out as burning debris falls past her. She looks up as Amy carries some people from the building and onto the ground. She glances to the side to see a fire extinguisher a few feet away from her. A man runs by it.
"Hey! Please connect this hose to the fire hydrant!" She uses her belly bolt as a hose, throwing it to the man, who just looks confused.
"What did you say?"
However, the hose...hits him on the head, knocking him unconscious, and the hose misses the hydrant.
"Darn it..." She grumbles just as Amy reappears. She sees the man and gasps. "Amy! I need your help!" Jenny calls out, but Amy pays no attention and bends down to the man.
"Jen, what did you do?! I gotta get him somewhere, I'll be right back!" She calls out, picking the man up and soaring into the sky.
"No! Amy, wait!" Jenny cries out, groaning at this. She sees someone else, calling out and waving a hand. He freezes in place and turns to her.
"Uh, you need something, miss?" He asks politely, and she nods, pointing to the hose with a smile.
"Please connect that to the fire hydrant!"
However, he sees a puppy walk by and gasps, bending down. "Well, aren't you a cutie! I think she wants to meet ya."
"Wrong! Wrong!" Jenny corrects, even though it's pointless for anyone to understand her... "The hose! The hose!"
"Oh, the hose?" He points down to it.
"Yes! Yes!" She nods happily that someone understands...and then he hits the hose against the sidewalk.
"Huh, this is kinda fun."
"Wrong! Connect the hose, please," She tries to tell him once again. "To the fire hydrant!"
He blinks at her and looks to the fire extinguisher. "This? You're pointing to this?"
"Yes!"
"Alright," He picks up the same puppy from before, handing it to her as she had sadly failed to convey the message...once again.
"You fool!" She shouts angrily in frustration.
"Hey, that's no way to talk to the animals," He frowns in disapproval and then leaves.
"Hey! Please come back!" Jenny cries out angrily and then Amy flies back down to her, flinching.
"Umm..." She points up at the building, and the robot looks to see that there's no point for the fire extinguisher anymore because the building was now a burnt crisp. The top of it falls over and Amy ducks out of the way, watching as it rolls down the road, making holes in it.
"Deja vu..." Jenny raises a brow, and then Tuck appears with the giant monster in tow. He keeps screaming and running while the monster walks around him...and then steps on him. The giant monster roars, pausing as the giant globe from before rolls up to him, tipping over a water...and it pours right over him, making him grow even bigger. The main line to the emergency water system breaks, and Jenny connects herself to the fire extinguisher, smirking...and then the water goes out.
"Why?! Why?!" She exclaims in disbelief, glaring at the hose that is her hand. She looks up towards the fire. "What do I do?" They both hear a roar, turning around to see the giant monster heading towards them.
"I've already done this!" Jenny complains while Amy gives a shocked look. She then facepalms as she realizes what happened.
"Why?" She mutters to herself at this. The two fly into the sky, punching the creature from opposite sides, only to get water because that's what he's made out of it. "Okay, gross," She flicks away the water from her hand. The duo fly around, punching the sides, but once again, can't hurt it. After a few attempts, their arms get tired. The creature picks up a bus and tries to knock them out with it. They move out of the way as he uses it as a fly swatter.
"Put the bus down!" Jenny demands him.
"What?" He throws the bus down safely onto the road. "You speak Japanese?" Amy looks between him and Jenny in shock.
"You're the one who speaks Japanese," Amy gasps and points forward as she sees Tuck's legs wiggling from the outside, begging to be let go. "Please let go of our friend."
"Yes!" He lets out a deep breath and spits out Tuck, who rolls to a stop soaking wet. He blinks and looks up at Jenny.
"He talks like Jenny," He murmurs in surprise, gasping at Amy in the air. "Whoa, who's she?!"
"Yes, that is hydropelix, quite common in Japan," A Japanese tourist states right next to him. Tuck stands up as they watch the conversation between robot and creature. "He's apologizing to the metal girls for his great size. Water makes him grow and also hurts him. He speaks of an evil child who kept feeding him with water, no matter how hard he screamed." Tuck looks away sheepishly since...he was that evil child.
Jenny gives a happy shout, pumping up her fists. "Water!"
"The robot is excited to hear he is full of water." The two girls pick him up from underneath, carrying him together. They squeeze the water out of him to douse the fires, and this makes the creature smaller with each squeeze.
"Hey, Jen," Tuck walks up to her, gesturing to the man. "These guys know all about little hydrowhosits. Who's your friend?"
"Um, no one, gotta go now!" She flies off into the sky, people taking pictures of her.
"We will be happy to bring him home," The man holds out his hand, the little creature landing in his hand with a smile.
"Excuse me!" The little girl from before appears from behind with Jenny's disc. "Excuse me! Robot!" Jenny beams at it while Tuck is confused. "Here is your disc!"
"Thank you!" She takes it happily.
"Oh, great, more Japanese," Tuck says in annoyance. "How's anyone supposed to follow what's going on?"
Amy comes up to him from behind. "Amy! You missed all the action! There's another robot superhero in town!"
"Oh, darn," The brunette smiles innocently. "Oh well, there's always next time," She winks at Jenny, who returns it.
Jenny inserts her disc. "Don't worry, Tuck. From now on, there'll be no more misunderstandings," She smiles, hands on her hips.
However, Tuck forgot about his house, and Brad comes back from the mall. "Hello, Tuck?" He calls out. "You home?" He walks in, holding the instructions for his gift, and not noticing the state of the house. "Did you figure out Jenny's gift? Sun equals frowny face. No sun equals smiley face...oh well," He shrugs, placing his gift on a table, somehow still not processing what happened to the house. He walks off while whistling, and the sun shines directly onto the test tube, hurting the creature and the glass shatters...
"Thanks for coming with me to Tokyo earlier," Jenny smiles at Amy as they're both walking down the street to Amy's house.
"No problem, it was fun seeing Japan," She smiles back, hands behind her back. "This is what you do on a daily basis?"
"Well, not every day, but with us as a team, you get to explore a lot!" The robot tells her and Amy rubs her neck.
"I thought about it, and...being a hero just felt really satisfying, and I'm helping save people without them knowing who I am. So...yeah, I'll be a superhero with you, Jen," She states gladly and earns a bear hug.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
"You don't need to thank me," Amy chuckles at her friend. "Just don't make me do all the work!"
"Don't worry, I won't! Oh! You need a name," She rubs her chin in thought after putting the brunette back onto the sidewalk. "How about the Amazing Tin Lady?"
"Definitely not," Amy shakes her head. Not only is it lame, but she's bound to earn the new title of being the local laughingstock...
"Ooh! Mecha-Awesome," Jenny holds up a finger.
"What? No," She shakes her head, humming as she taps her finger against her chin. "How about...Ms. Mecha?"
Before Jenny could comment, a roar is heard and they look up ahead to see a purple monster forming, just like the one Tuck made come to life. "Oh, not again," Amy pinches her nose at this. "Call Claudia and tell her I'm coming home late. We've got a town to save...again."
Jenny smirks as her wings appear and Amy taps her brooch, becoming her metallic other identity again. The two fly off towards the monster together as a new team.
Angel: The phrase thing with Claudia and Dr. Wakeman came from jebens1. Also I'm not sure if Ms. Mecha is the best name, let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions for names.
