chapter 13 : Asuka Strikes !
'Why the hell does this have to be so boring !'-Shinji thought as he sat on his seat , for the last hour he Rei and Misato accompanied by Toji and Kensuke made their way to the pacific fleet to pick up The Second Child and Eva 02 . Kensuke as always was speaking some military gibberish and Toji was as always trying to make moves on Misato , meanwhile Shinji couldn't listen to that and took out his secret weapon out of his sports bag. his SDAT and the Megamix #2 as he finally put the tape to its use and the track #1 started playing
"MAD MACHINE!"
In a savannah enraged by sandstorms,

"What ?"-Shinji asked as Kensuke's face showed like he wanted to tear him apart
"Don't you see ?! This is the pacific fleet and the creme de la creme of the UN fleet ! The aircraft carrier Over The Rainbow !"-Kensuke screamed before few objects looking like flying sleds passed them leaving a track past them
"WOW !? Those are the new flying platform prototypes ! Powered up by both a propeller and a rocket engine !"-Kensuke screamed as Shinji looked outside of the VTOL and an idea came to his A-10 headset wearing head
'Rocket engine ? And judging by the size of those platforms it has to be pretty small . I need to get my hands on one or two , and I will finally maybe be able to build a bike exactly like Priss-chans'-Shinji thought as the VTOL finally landed on the flight deck . The company got out and Shinji could stretch up . As Shinji wanted to lit up a cigarette he noticed that Toji was chasing around this according to Shinji ,,Dumb looking hat" before it stopped under someone's shoe . And Shinji, while keeping a straight face, was overwhelmed . Yellow sundress , tall masculate yet "Still feminine legs , crystal blue eyes that matched his darker shade . the ,,curves" that would get anyone around her interested , and that long red hair . It was still new to Shinji that girls can have longer hair that reached to the arms. Since all the girls in Neogoya had their hair cut short or to the ,,tomboy" style since sexual assault was a normal thing . But the only thought that came to Shinji's mind was 'wow'. As Shinji's mind was locked in stasis, Rei stared The Second Child down and then looked upon her brother . 'Why is he locked like that ?'-Rei thought as the silence was broken
"Hi Misato , how are you doing ?"-The girl asked as she still had the smug grin and her hands on the hips
"Great , and you have also grown"
"Yes , and i grow where it was necessary"-The girl said as she obviously meant her chest
"Let me introduce you to the Second Child , pilot of the Evangelion Unit 02 . Soryu Asuka Langley"-As Misato finished introducing her , the wind lifted up Asuka's sundress, which resulted in showing her panties. And so the stooge duo received two juicy slaps . But Shinji's Neogoyan fighting sense screamed 'DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODGE !'- And so he did . Shinji grabbed Asuka's hand and sweeped behind her letting go Asuka's hand
"Not bad , not bad at all . Footwork practice mixed with an element of surprise and you can try again"-Shinji smirked as he thought '1-0 for the HS'- And this was at this moment that Asuka turned back and finally noticed Shinji 'THAT SON OF A BITCH ! Who does think he iii'-Asuka stopped as she analyzed her failed target. Medium long brown hair that in a few weeks would start to reach his neck , Muscular body that even if underweight still had more muscles than an average boy , White A-10 hair clips shining on his head like little stars , the scar on his right cheek that always caught a girl's attention . And the customized purple NERV jacket with various patches , and the only thing that Asuka could think was also 'wow'.
"So , you are The Second Child ? Shinji Ikari"-Shinji said as he reached out his hand
"Soryu Asuka Langley , charmed huh ?"-Asuka said as she shaked Shinji's hand
'You're goddamn right'-Shinji thought as let go of Asuka's hand
"Well then you are the Third Child ?"-Asuka asked as Shinji smirked
"The very same , the one that killed 3 angels with luck , a giant cannon and with some help from my sister"-Shinji said as he pointed at Rei as Asuka looked upon her
"So you must be Rei Ayanami , pilot of the Eva 00 . I'm Soryu Asuka Langley , let's be friends"-Asuka said as Rei remembered what Shinji told her . That you need to try to make friends since you always have someone in a backpocket, And Shinji's word became more of an order to her than a sibling advise
"If you insist Pilot Soryu , we can be friends"-Rei said as Asuka shaked her hand
"Wunderbar"-Asuka replied as she let go of Rei's hand
"Hey ! we need to get going"-Misato said as the newly formed pilot trio made their way to the bridge
"I thought you were just touring a group of boy scouts"-The captain of the ship said as Misato checked some papers
"Here you have data for the battery"-Misato said as she handed him the papers , meanwhile Shinji lit up a cigarette
"If I would allow this toy to swi-Wait you can't smoke here !"-The captain roared as Shinji just looked upon him
"And what do I have for you ?"-Shinji said before putting his spare hand in his pocket and took out a middle finger
"A juicy fuck you straight delivered from ,,I dont give a shit land" , this is how you treat someone who did something that a nuke couldnt and probably a fleet of puny little ships that could be destroyed with few divebomb bombers that would get oblitirated by laser fired from an octahedron ? , my my captain you have to have a really small pp. If you brash off this ship that probably the tekkaman wannabe carried by it would break it with a single stomp ?"-Shinji finished his monologue and breathed out a smoke cloud straight to the captain's face . As the rest of the group stared him down, especially Asuka . 'Wow , such a badass . NO NO NO WAIT YOU HAVE ONLY ONE CRUSH ! AND IT IS ON A REAL MAN , NOT ON SOME IDIOT BOY !'-Asuka thought as the captain finished his coughing
"Little shit"- he whispered as Misato kept a straight face
"Consider this an emergency backup"-Misato said
"And that's why you are protected by the Pacific Fleet . Which is a bit STRONGER then someone applied , and we can do far more than just be delivery boys"-The captain finished as he clearly was pissed about Shinji's disrespect
"And you summoned the whole fleet to protect one toy"-the captain added
"And it is too small considering a price of an Evangelion , please sign those papers"-Misato said as the captain brushed her off
"Later , NERV Germany gave us guardianship over The Second Child and Eva 02. I won't allow myself to be controlled and offended by some brat !"-Captain said as Shinji whispered "Small-dicked old man"
"When will we receive them ?"-Misato asked
"When we will dock in New Yokosuka"-One of the officers replied
"This is our terrain captain , here you are under our command"-The captain added
"I understand , but remember that during an emergency NERV takes full control"-Misato added as Shinji decided to turn off his mind . Before it was turned on as another person
"Sharp as always"-Kaji said as he entered the bridge
"KAJII !"-Asuka squeaked as she noticed her guardian . And Shinji could notice the change in Misato's facial expression . They had to known each other
"Oh look , its Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop"-Shinji said as Kaji shot him with a finger gun
"I understood that reference , no offence taken"-Kaji replied as he finally entered the bridge . Another few minutes of talking passed as the group left and made their way to the cafeteria . And everyone could feel the tension between the only two adults in the group
"So are you seeing someone ?"-Kaji asked as he looked upon his ex
"Not your business"-Misato replied as she looked to the other side
"So you live with Katsuragi now ? So is she still , wild in bed ?"-Kaji asked as the entire group except for Shinji and Rei had shocked facial expressions
"No , actually she is more of a screamer , and for most of the time she is drunk"-Shinji said as a smirk came on his face. Meanwhile Misato's face became more crimson than the whole Eastern block .
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SAYING !? BOTH OF YOU !?"-Misato screamed as Kaji just laughed
"Street sense of humor , A street kid will know a street kid , Shinji Ikari"-Kaji finished as he looked upon Shinji . It was the first time that he could see him in his full ,,glory" , He spent a few months of 2014 tracking him and collecting information necessary for both SELLE and WILLE . Kaji could notice that he became a lot softer since the last time he saw him

"Shin ? I believe it's enough for him"-Kaneda said as he looked upon Shinji ,the beaten up drug dealer and than at Tetsuo
"If we want to clean the streets from AKIRA , we need some information"-Shinji said as he gave a kick to the drug dealer's face
"Yeah , i don't even know why the hell we care , its not popular enough for us to sell it"-Tetsuo said as Shinji hanged the beaten up man on the fence and turned to his friends
"Number 1 , from the moral point of view it's inhuman to sell a death pill . And from the business point of view that if junkies start buying this stuff our clientele will die off . That's why we have to react if we want to stay on the drug market"-Shinji said as both Kaneda and Tetsuo nodded . Just as they wanted to say about their agreements two more bikes drove into the alley
"Well ?"-Shinji asked as both Yamagata and Kaisuke got off their bikes
"Nothing Shin"-Yamagata said as the quartet exchanged looks
"4th district cleared of AKIRA dealers but still no info about the place where they make those bad boys"-Kaisuke said as They all got back on their bikes
"Ok , MOVE OUT !"-Kaneda ordered and the 4 motorbikes left the alley , meanwhile Kaji was taking a walk next to the alley as he removed his hoodie and noticed the beaten up man

"So you know me ?"-Shinji asked
"Well you are famous in our business . The famous Third Child who with no training killed an angel"-Kaji said
"Well maybe I'm a natural ?"-Shinji said as both he and Kaji started laughing as meanwhile Misato wanted to hide in the deepest hole on the planet
"This has to be nightmare"-Misato said
Kaji looked upon a baggy in his hand as he and Asuka as they observed the sea
"So , what do you think about him ?"-Kaji asked as he looked upon Asuka
"I am surprised . He is not a stereotypical alpha male but not a weak doormat , he can be my worthy rival . Even if his brain is a bit crazy"-Asuka said as her pride still couldn't put it through as Shinji dodged her attack but also laughed at her footwork and killer instinct . And also it was this moment that Shinji Ikari was caught by the eye of the redhead
"Well he got thrown into the deep water , but his first synch ratio was 68 %"-Kaji said as he knew what Asuka's reaction would be
"WHAT !?"-Asuka screamed as she left Kaji alone and made her way down the staircase , meanwhile Kaji finally took a look at the baggy , it was stolen by WILLE so that their ,,Sleeping Agent" . Also known as Shinji Ikari would bug his father and allow WILLE to get more info about SELLE. Meanwhile the rest of the group made their way using the escalator
"That captain , who does he think he is ?"-Toji asked
"Well he is a prideful person , he just can't accept the shift in times"-Misato said
"Well Kaji seems like a nice guy , the same level of street life like me"-Shinji said as he smugly looked upon Misato
"I don't know what you see in that idiot"-Misato said as she looked in to the wall
"Ikari ? With me !"-Asuka said as she took Shinji's hand as the escalator reached the top
"Follow me"-Asuka said as they left the interior and returned to the flight deck before Shinji noticed the giant canvas , before Asuka lifted it up
"So that's Unit 02 , eh 5/10 in terms of looks , plus i don't like mixup of orange and red , i would suggest adding white and switching orange for yellow"-Shinji said as they got to the mockup cage

It's about the performance of my dear redheaded-co pilot . Me and Unit 01 killed 3 angels . Who cares if I synched better , it is still a better unit since it has more experience on the battlefield. And going by that philosophy i am the better pilot"-Shinji finished as he left Asuka stunned
'That idiot ! HE LAUGHED ME OFF ! But this is not a directal offense . This is an offer for a rivalry . And i pick up the glove Shinji Ikari'-Asuka thought as instead of feeling offended she played his game
"You are maybe right about the performance . But wait until the next angel attacks and I will show you how superior my Eva and my piloting skills are !"-Asuka finished as Shinji smirked 'well 1-1 Asuka'-Shinji thought before the ship started shaking
"Explosion under the ship"-Asuka said as both her and Shinji jumped out of the cage and made their way to the balustrade and noticed the explosion of several ships
"Angel , well miss Soryu, you are getting your chance !"-Shinji said as Asuka turned to him with a smirk
"You are gottdamn right Ikari"-Asuka smirked as she took Shinji's hand and ran to the staircase
"Wait for me here !"-Asuka said as she runned under the stairs with her own bag . And Shinji knew what she was planning so he checked his own bag . And here it was , a new plugsuit still unopened . Shinji began to change . Meanwhile Asuka was thinking why he hadn't taken a look at least once , 'That's strange , normally boys would be sneaking over to see me but him ? He really is unique'-Asuka thought as she heard the click of Shinji's plugsuit. 'You came prepared Third Child ? I'm impressed'-Asuka thought unce again as she also pressed the button 'Its go time , Asuka'
"Ok , let's hit it !"-Asuka said as the plugsuit-goggles combo Shinji was standing in front of her
"Yep , let's show those old pricks what an Evangelion can do !"-Shinji said as they both gave each other a high five.
"Well then Ikari Shinji , get in the robot , and don't disturb me "-Asuka said as the entry plug revealed itself and Shinji jumped in behind the pilot seat as Asuka started the sync sequence
"LCL einlass , Anfang der Bewegung, bestätigt. Anfang nächste die Herzmonitor, bestätigt. Synchrostart, nun!"-Asuka said as the word ,,Fahler" appeared
"Thought noise"-Shinji said
"Well what i told you about disturbing !"-Asuka said as she remembered the language the eva was set on

"Well sorry but i'm not in a mood of conquer europe !"-Shinji screamed
"IDIOT ! Ah forget it, switch language to Japanese . Evangelion Unit 02 , launching !"-Asuka screamed . Meanwhile on the bridge Misato was butting heads with the captain as the voice came over from the speaker
"Othello is reporting Eva Unit 02 launch !"-The voice said
"WHAT ?!"-The captain screamed
"COME ON ASUKA !"-Misato screamed as put her face to the window
"Halt the activation !"-The captain screamed before Misato grabbed the mic
"Don't listen to him Asuka ! Launch"-Misato screamed before the captain grabbed the mic again
"Eva and the pilot are under our command ! execute the order !"-Captain screamed as Misato tried to take the mike away
"Not good , the Eva has B-type equipment !"-One of the officers noticed though his binoculars
"So we improvise then"-Shinji said
"Yes , and now we need to not fall in water"-Asuka said
"You are also here ? Shinji ?"-Misato asked as Shinji replied with "Yes"
"Well then , it's do or die time , Asuka launch !"-Misato said as Unit 02 jumped in the air , as it impacted the vessel Shinji only sighed as he thanked himself that he hid his bag somewhere safe
"We have only 58 seconds left"-Shinji said as he looked at the timer
"I know ! Misato prepare the cable !"-Asuka said over the comms
"Well then , we are gonna play frogs"- Asuka said as the giant started jumping across the vessels one after the other before the crimson titan finally landed at its destination and plugged the cable
"It's coming on 9"-Shinji said as the fish angel made their way to the aircraft carrier
"And we don't have any weapons"-Shinji added which resulted in a snap in the forehead by Asuka
"You have to be such a drama queen ? I only need a prog knife !"-Asuka said as she pressed the button on the HUD which resulted in taking out the super sonic blade
"What a giant fish"-Shinji said as it could be bigger than Ramiel
"And exactly how i wanted my first kill to be"-Asuka said as the trademark grin was still on her face
And so the angel finally jumped on board as Asuka kept holding to it
"Yes Asuka ! keep holding !"-Misato said as the Angel finally did return to water taking clinging Unit 02 with it taking it underwater
"Asuka you can't fight underwater with B-type equipment !"-Misato screamed over the comms
"We will see about that !"-Asuka said as she kept holding onto the Angel with the umbilical cable going in almost every side of the flight deck throwing numerous machines to the sea
"Asuka we will be out of cable ! it will pull so be ready !"-Misato added as she observed the cable , and in few seconds the cable finally stopped
"Damn it"-Asuka said as the time for a plan slowly started to run out . Meanwhile on the flight deck a Yak-38 a launched as Kaji knew that his mission was successful and managed to put Shinji's bag back on the main ship with the bugchip in it .
"He runned away"-Toji said as Rei just observed the facial expressions of her comrades . Meanwhile underwater the crew of you unit had a bigger problem
"It's coming !"-Shinji said as the giant fish made its way to finish the job
"Now i won't miss"-Asuka said as she tried to move the Eva
"What the ?"-Asuka asked
"Its B-type , we need to improvise"-Shinji said
"
"Then come up with something idioooaaaaa!"-Asuka did not finish as the angel got the Eva in its jaw
"Damn , it's like fishing"-Toji said as he pointed out the similarity of the situation
"Fishing ? Fishing ! Asuka hold on tight. I have a plan ! Captain , i need your help"-Misato said as she explained the plan to the bridge crew
"This is crazy"-The captain replied
"Yes , but maybe it will work"-Misato said
"Ok"-the captain replied as the procedures started for the execution of the plan , a few minutes passed as everything was ready
"Ok , pull back the cable !"-Misato ordered as the giant cord started reversing back as Shinji and Asuka started to pull the Angel back to the surface , Shinji tightly grabbing the controls while Asuka was hitting his head
"Ok now we need to open the jaw"-Shinji said before Asuka transformed the joysticks and grabbed Shinji's hands
"Ok , now lets do it !"-Asukasaid as they started pulling the jaw out , as for something that fell like eternity the jaw finally opened as the two fregate ships went into the angel's mouth
"Fire !"-Misato ordered as the cannons fired to the angel ending it . And so the giant tidal wave occurred before Unit 02 finally runned out of power , the entry plug opened and the second and third child collapsed on flight deck heavy breathing
"See Ikari ? this is how a real pilot does it !"-Asuka said as proud as ever even if she now focused on gathering air
"Fine , you proved your abilities , but this is not the end"-Shinji said as the crew finally returned to the deck . As the medical crew runned over to them Including one holding Shinji's bag
"Excuse me ? is this yours ?"-One of the medics said as he handed Shinji's bag , as the owner replied with "thanks" the duo that saved the world couple minutes earlier made their way to the ship for medical checks
"This will be the beginning of a Beautiful friendship, Shinji Ikari"-Asuka said with a sarcastic tone as they could finally rest as world's heroes . At least for a bit
A/N : Wait no epilogue ? Yep since there is nothing interesting between Gaghiel and Israfel i decided to fill it up with another Mari chapter . But the Israfel arc will be split into 3 episodes all having tiny bits of Asushin goodies . And yes I decided that this relationship will be (At least for now) Friends/rivals chasing each other for the title of the best . And I know that I kinda screwed up a bit with Asuka . But this is the first time I'm writing her . So in the next main chapter will have her better written
