Chapter 14 : Israfel part 1 : Asuka strikes again !...And failes
"Well , out of sight"-Shinji said as he lit up a cigarette . Always before school a cigarette was a necessity for Shinji since he lived in the Neogoyan ghetto after the age of 12 . In Tokyo 3 it was always a problem for him to attain them since a smoking child wasn't something common here . So a NERV card became a necessity if he wanted to acquire the way to lung cancer. Shinji snuggled next to the escalator as he knew that he would lose a few hours without the return . And Shinji hated that with burning passion . Even if he cared for his education he could leave his old school at any time . Since he would get 100/100 anyways . And according to Shinji the whole city felt like that . Even if it was a giant armory for him behind the controls of "one-chan" and for NERV. It felt like a little town compared to Neogoya that was just behind Tokyo 3 in the podium for the biggest city in the country in terms of surface . No giant neons and abandoned highways also felt weird for him . And most importantly little cramped streets where you could get almost everything during midnight while the whole street was shining like it was a day thanks to the neon lights. And it has been a few months since Shinji saw rain . Even if the Second Impact made Japan stuck in eternal summer the cities that laid close to the sea still recieved a good set of rain . But Tokyo 3 lay a few kilometers away from the sea, somehow still was stuck in the burning claws of summer . Rain was one of the things that made Neogoya unique in post-impact Japan . And strengthened Neogoya as "The city stuck in the 80s with 80s Japan's problems" . Tokyo 3 in comparison felt bland and boring . Most of it were just city blocks with only one big street resembling what Neogoya had almost across the whole main city . If it wasn't for NERV Rei and probably payment Shinji would probably stay in his city as even if dangerous he could survive as he was a master in navigating in his terrain as the years of experiences and memorizing the streets he was uncatchable. But the "older brother spirit" was stronger and until the Angels would stop arriving he would stay here to protect Rei , but also there was another reason why Shinji wanted to stay , and that reason was behind him
"Guten Morgen"-Asuka greeted her rival/frenemy . And like always when she talked to him Shinji's skin received goosebumps as he turned to Asuka
"Guten Morgen Mein Fuhrer"-Shinji said with a cigarette in mouth trying to keep his "Bad Boy" facade and not explode with emotions. Asuka was the first girl that broke Shinji's demisexual shield and felt sexually attracted to . Over the hundreds of girls that Shinji saw wanting to get into his pants Asuka was unique and special . She had that fire and character that the other girls besides Kei lacked . And it was noticed by other boys in school as gossip and a number of love letters and date proposals were mostly devoted to her . But Asuka always told them to fuck off or threw the letters away as she mostly spent time with Hikari and Rei . She was becoming popular with boys as Shinji was with girls . And the fact that according to Shinji's mind was more beautiful than every girl in school
"Your german is getting way better Ikari , you should learn more than just internet stereotypes , AND STOP SMOKING THIS STUFF ! I don't want to keep crying Rei on my shoulder because her dear brother died of lung cancer !''-Asuka screamed as a little voice in her brain said 'Or maybe because you won't have a male body to fantasize about- SHUT UP ! I ONLY WANT THE IDEAL MAN THAT IS KAJI !! NOT SOME (pretty hot) BOY !'- Asuka's senses fought as she looked upon Shinji . Just as he saw her, Asuka thought the same about him . All the boys in the school were like dumb children to her . Especially boys , dumb testosterone-fuel perverts that only cared about grabbing a boob or seeing what is under a girls's skirt . Shinji was unique , he seemed adult and not doing dumb pranks . Always sending out cold rejections to the harem of girls that was following him . Never fueled up by testosterone and always calm in making his decisions . And he never cared for any girl besides Rei . And according to some girls he was hotter than every boy in this building . And that was also the only thing that Asuka could agree on with the other girls in school . Even if she neglected him by swiping it off saying that he is just a boy
"Ah relax , LCL purifies us in some magic way after we get in an entry plug . So my lungs are safe"-Shinji said as he shot Asuka with a finger pistol . Immediately creating a blush on her face 'Oh you don't idiot ! Commence counter fire ! I hope that testosterone will emerge from you ! It will be 2:1 !' Asuka thought as she her evil plan formed
"Well you are right about that Ikari , LCL does seem to make our bodies better . I'm not right Shinji ?"-Asuka asked as she lifted off a bit of her skirt to reveal a part of her leg . Just a little flash so her panties would still be a mystery to him . Shinji on the other hand was shocked with her move as the blood was slowly leaving his brain and making its way to his crotch. But Shinji somehow stopped it along side a small blush that appeared on his face , so he decided to play it cool
"Well you do look great Asuka , no wonder the boys are all around you"-Shinji said as he fired his counterattack . And it worked as Asuka's face became crimson '2:2' Shinji thought as the blush slowly left the Redhead's face 'Well you survive this attack Shinji Ikari , this will be more fun than i expected'-Asuka thought as the retreat was now the best option
"Well I'm going to the classroom to hang out with Hikari and Rei . See ya Ikari !"-Asuka said as she runned to the school building . Shinji sighed as he thanked his luck that this confrontation was somehow victorious and also made his way to the classroom . Shinji decided that music can drug him off for a bit . So he took out his SDAT out of his pocket and slid in the Megamix #2 cassette tape as the track #2 filled his ears

As the song finally wrapped off Shinji finally entered the classroom with a thought that somehow he always has the right song . Like it was all planned . Just as the lesson started Shinji returned to his usual activity that was scrolling through 4chan and Bōsōzoku media . Shinji wrote and sent the message as he grinned in victory . Before he slightly looked upon Asuka who's face color matched her Eva . '3:2 Miss Soryu' Shinji thought before he noticed that Asuka already started to type her message

Shinji finished writing as the bell finally rang . And so Shinji made his way to Toji and Kensuke as Asuka made her way to Hikari Rei and the rest of the girls . As the break finally wrapped out the PE lesson started as both boys and girls made their way to the changing rooms. Asuka changed her school uniform into the PE uniform as she still couldn't believe how short the shorts were 'Well I'm gonna have to steal from Ikari , there is no way I will be wearing those'. Asuka thought as one of the girls runned into the changing room
"GIRLS ! LOOK WHAT I GOT !"-She screamed as she took out pictures out her envelope , and it was at this moment when all the girls besides Hikari and Rei surrounded the bench to see the photos
"Holy shit you got those ! Can you print me a photocopy ?"- one of the girls asked as tons of questions like that followed
"10 000 yen and I will print out the whole collection for each !"- The girl said as Asuka decided to take a look and what she saw was mind blowing to her 'was zum teufel ? I knew that Japanese boys were perverts . BUT THIS ?! AND WHY IKARI ?!'- Asuka thought as she looked upon pictures of Shinji , and probably taken without his consent . It was mostly pictures of him standing alone . Some of them were taken during PE , but most of the girls stared down the third category of pictures , the ones made during boys swimming class . "Angel attack"-they both replied in synch as they started to change back into school uniforms . As they rushed out of the school they not only notice the section 2 car , but also Shinji as he got on his bike and begun the starting sequence , as Asuka and Rei got into the car Shinji turned on his SDAT as the track #3 of the Megamix #2 started playing

Shinji finally drove into one of the Geofront gates as he got down from his bike and made his way to the pilots locker room . After quickly changing into his blue plugsuit and changing his A-10 clips for the "Battle Variant" Shinji put his goggles on his forehead. Before an announcement was made through the speakers
"The Third Child and The Second Child report to the flight deck"- The voice said as Shinji put his hand on his forehead 'Either she will brag and brag on about her superiority , or if i'll kill it will be the same so it's a win-win situation and it will be 4:2'-Shinji thought as he made his way to the elevator . As the elevator's door opened Shinji noticed Asuka wearing her red plugsuit
"Took you long enough Ikari"-Asuka said as Shinji got in the elevator and closed its doors . The ride to the flight deck was a silent one before Asuka decided to break the silence
"Well Ikari , are you ready to see how the superior pilot does it from the first person ?"-Asuka asked as Shinji chuckled
"Well that depends , if the superior pilot will just stand and brag on as i destroy the angel"-Shinji said as Asuka's face showed a frown
"You should be more grateful for having me alongside you on the battlefield , someone with more training proves to be more useful than just plain luck"-Asuka said as Shinji found a comeback
"Well training is still a different thing than real combat , so our experiences may differ . But even if we are rivals fighting for being the best we can still be a team"-Shinji said as Asuka turned away 'well , consider this a draw Ikari' Asuka thought as they finally reached the flight deck and got into the Entry Plugs as the planes took off from the air strip , the flight was mostly silent until a comm window appeared
"Shinji ? Asuka ? Can you hear me ?"-Misato asked as Shinji showed a thumbs up
"Loud and clear Misato"-Shinji said
"Well I can finally prove to that idiot over there who is the superior pilot , AND DON'T YOU DARE GET IN MY WAY . YOU HEAR ME ?"-Asuka said as Shinji replied with a middle finger. And so the Evas were dropped as the two giants calmly landed at their destination .
"2 against 1 ? It's not my style"-Asuka said as the comm window opened
"It is not us who dictate the conditions, what matters here is mankind's survival"-Misato said as they connected umbilical cords to their Evas .
"I'm going at it ! You cover me up !"-Asuka screamed as rushed up at the angel with her Progressive Axe
"Wha ? Ah fuck it . At least I will have satisfaction when it will send you in the air"-Shinji said as he started providing cover fire with his Pellet Rifle . Asuka meanwhile finally jumped in the air and with a giant scream coming out of the comms Asuka slashed the angel , cutting it in half
"See Ikari ? This is how the best pilot does it ?"-Asuka's tone changed as the Angels's corpse started to metamorph
"IT'S NOT DEAD YET !"-Shinji screamed as he dropped down his Pellet Rifle and took out his pistols , just as two figures appeared out of its corpse , one white and one orange
"That's not fair !"-Misato screamed in the field command center before the two angels sent Unit 02 flying in the air
"HA ! Best pilot is out ! Well it's up to me again"-Shinji said as the white half appeared in front of him
"AH FUCK !"-Shinji screamed as he noticed the orange half behind him
"DOUBLE FUCK !"-Shinji screamed before being sent flying . He flew for 10 seconds before his Eva finally hit the ground making its legs stick out of the ground . Shinji turned on the emergency cameras to see N2 mines dropping onto the Angels . 'Well damn it , we will need some good strategy to defeat it Misato'
