Chapter 25 : It's never enough for me
"Come on , Come on"-Shinji thought as he looked at his watch ,it was 5:50 in the morning and Shinji sat on his motorcycle . After the battle with the spider angel designated Matarael, Shinji and Asuka finally came back to work on the HS. And after a few weeks with tools and ordering parts another model was ready , lightened up enough to according to Asuka , 'It will reach 550 with an ease'. 'Asuka I love you with all my bloodstained heart , but I'm not sure if going faster will be possible . But i don't know if i wont try , besides Aimi is here and if i crashed she would get me to a hospital and kill me again'-Shinji finished his train of thoughts as he thought about the ponytailed Girl . He wasn't even able to think why she agreed to watch him pursue something that killed her brother and what made Shinji respect Takuro even more . Giving his life to the "Gods of speed" , probably only Deities that Shinji believed to exist.
"Rise, Shine and Focus ! We have a task to do !"-Asuka said over the headset inside the Helmet , Shinji sighed and put on the helmet
"I'm in the position , currently waiting for the start"-Shinji said as 15 kilometers away Asuka and a quite unique group made out of her , Rei , Hikari , Toji and Kensuke alongside the girls as they stood on a side of the highway with Misato's Alpine parked next to them with a bike trailer attached to it . 'Misato is probably too drunk to notice that we took her car'-Asuka thought as she felt her shoulder being tapped
"Asuka , I need to ask you a question , why the hell did you make me wake up at 4:30 in the morning ?!"-Hikari asked as Asuka smugly smiled
"Because , I wanted to hang out with you in a different way than usual . And Rei over there is not enough of a moral support to deal with those stooges"-Asuka said as she pointed at Toji and Kensuke helping Aimi and Sakura set up the radar speed tower
"A bit to the right !"-Aimi said as she held one of the legs
"I would if those two were pushed in the right direction !"-Sakura said as Toji and Kensuke shared a look and pushed in another direction . After few minutes the tower was finally set on
"Ok , it's now turned on"-Kensuke said as he looked at the screen
"All right then"-Asuka said as she grabbed Shinji's laptop with a harness and started up the program that monitored the Motorcycle's performance
"Why are we even here ?"-Toji asked as Asuka Hikari and even Kensuke gave him a look
"Because we need dumb muscle to help set up the equipment"-Asuka said as Toji grew more and more annoyed
"And because we're gonna see one of the best street racers in Japan behind the scenes !"-Kensuke said as he took out his camera and popped a tape in
"You know , tests weren't always so hard to perform"-Aimi said as Sakura looked at her friend

"YEEEEAAAAHHHH ! LIKE A COWBOY !"-10 year old Shinji Ikari screamed wearing only a pair of goggles passing Mana Kaori and 5 year old Aimi holding a radar . After passing the trio Shinji managed to press hard on the brakes and stopped in a slide. Shinji managed to use all the strength his small yet strong and muscular 10 year old body and managed to get off the infant Highway Star and laid it on side of the wall
"How did I do !?"-Shinji asked as he runned over to the girls
"212 km/h , not so bad !"-Aimi said as Mana looked at Shinji with a worried look
"Shinji ? Wasn't that too fast ? I mean there is nothing wrong with it but isn't that enough ?"-Mana asked with a worried look while Shinji chuckled
"Fast ? I didn't feel anything ! It's even too slow if you ask me ! You know what Mana ? One day I will do two things . One is two set a world speed record on that bike , and the second is to prove that the Japanese can beat Yankees and Europeans on the track and the road !"-Shinji finished his Monologue as he Noticed a black Kawasaki ZX6R passing them with the same basic mods as Shinji's Highway Star , Shinji took a look at the radar gun and noticed that it read 209 km/h. As the bike stopped and was put to the side to reveal its rider. A 10 year old boy with black hair and green eyes .
"All right sis , tell me how fast i went ?"-Takuro asked as he took the radar gun from Aimi . And after looking at it his face showed a frown . Then he rushed back to his Kawasaki and started to Kick it
"STUPID PIECE OF SHI-OH FUCK !"-Takuro said as the bike fell on him
"Oh shit !"-Shinji said as he rushed towards the bike with Aimi beside him and Takuro were trying to put the bike back on its two wheels . Meanwhile Mana and Kaori were watching that scene play out
"Look at them Kaori , the stupid excuse for the thrill of speed might get one of them killed"-Mana said as she looked at her friend who had a pondered expression on her face
"Why ? If they enjoy going fast then nothing is wrong with them . The only thing we could make them do safer is riding with helmets"-Kaori said as Mana looked at Shinji's motorcycle and then at Shinji and Aimi trying to get Takuro's bike back on two wheels
"But that won't be possible , because quoting Kaneda "Only pussies ride in helmets". That's just dumb"-Mana said as two another bikes stopped beside them
"What's going on ?"-Kaneda asked as he managed to get off his bike with Tetsuo following him
"Probably that"-Tetsuo said as he pointed at Shinji and Aimi trying to lift Takuro's bike up from him
"Shit , looks like we have to help them"-Kaneda said as both he and Testuo rushed to the bike. After they reached the motorcycle they both grabbed the sides of the bike
"Ok , on 1 , 2 , 3 !"-Tetsuo said as four of them plus Takuro from under the bike managed to push the bike back up
"Thanks guys , i wasn't sure if i would be able to push it myself"-Takuro said
"Wait , MYSELF ?! WHAT ABOUT ME AND SHINJI ?!"-Aimi screamed as she punched her brothers head
"Ow , ok i'm sorry . Both of you did help"-Takuro said as he wiped his head and got up. As they all got back up to their feet all of them heard sounds of Motorcycle engines coming with lights in the distance
"Oh shit"-Shinji said as he looked at the lights like a frightened Deer
"CLOWNS ! GUYS WE BAIL OUT FAST !"-Kaneda said as all of them got up on their bikes and made them run and got away through the sewers as they bumped up on the streets.
"For god's sake Shinji ! You and Kaneda said that this sewer was your terrain !"-Mana said as she held onto Shinji
"It was , but those fuckers don't respect us just because we're smaller !"-Tetsuo said as he rode beside them with Kaori on the back
"We probably gonna need to expand our numbers , half of us is on the streets selling stolen meds and another half gets either hospitalized during the fights with the clowns or they lack their bikes"-Kaneda said as they entered the 8th district that was the core of The Capsules
"The problem is that we or them lack bikes"-Takuro said as Kaneda looked at them and than at Shinji
"What's the problem with that ? The only thing we need to do is to steal a few bikes and Shinji will change the numbers on the bike and in the documents !"-Kaneda said as they heard police sirens and noticed blue lights behind
"Shit , cops. Ok i know what to do"-Shinji said as all of them pulled up on the side of the street. Shinji got off the bike and stood in front of the police car . 'Oh crap , it's probably who i think it is'-Shinji thought as the door opened to reveal a tall muscular man in his early 30s with his only hair being a tiny mohawk and a mustache
"Good evening officer Shikishima , looks like it's not a busy night if you spend your nights chasing children"-Shinji said as the officer bended down to Shinji
"And you want to come back for another 24 hours Ikari ? You and the rest of your friends , a bunch of young criminals and whores"-Shikishima said as Shinji looked at the man and with a swift kick managed to send him on the mask of the car
"And you can't do anything about it ,RUN !"-Shinji said as he rushed back to his bike and got on and with a blink of an eye four bikes disappeared

"And that was one of those tests i remembered the most"-Aimi finished as Sakura checked her watch
"It's 5:59 , in 30 seconds Shinji should be starting the test"-Sakura said as Asuka looked at the laptop and noticed that Shinji started the engine . Meanwhile Shinji held his hand on the clutch as he switched from the Neutral to the first gear . While looking at the watch he revved the bike and watched the green sparks flying from the front discs. 'Come on , come on , AND THE WAY WE GO!'- Shinji thought as he let go of the clutch and went flying onto the highway. Shinji looked at the display . '250 on the first gear ? Damn i forgot i could pull out so much on just a modified stock gearbox'-Shinji thought as he switched to the second gear. As he finished the second kilometer Asuka could see that he was reaching the end of the first stage. 'Come on Shinji'-Asuka thought as the display said that Shinji finished the first stage. '325 , only 225 left'-Asuka thought. As the sound could be clearly heard even from there
"Oh , he's coming and he's coming fast"-Toji said as Kensuke recorded everything
"This is so exciting , We have the privilege to see probably the fastest street racing motorcycle on this side of the planet , if Shinji won't screw up anything he could even reach 450 !"-Kensuke said as Aimi Sakura and Hikari watched with disgust as Rei and Asuka looked at the camera footage . 'For gotts sake Shinji , you really had to start up a twitch channel . I suggested that you should use other social media than 4chan but that ?'-Asuka thought as Shinji finished the second stage.
"450 , if you want to break your record it's gonna take more than that"-Rei said as they looked at the stats . '36000 rpm , Shinji will have to do more than that'-Asuka thought as they watched the laptop. Meanwhile Shinji was fighting with his bike as he watched the world blur around him. 'It feels so relaxing while knowing that one tiny mistake can send me flying and straight to hell. To be honest I still haven't used Nitrous Oxide . Oh shit that's right !'-Shinji thought as he armed the system and took one of his fingers off the left handlebar. 'Ok , and , go !'-Shinji thought as he pressed the button and felt his bike jolt off at a tremendous speed . Shinji took up his head a bit and felt the air pushing his head down 'Really ? I think I'm gonna need to make a more aerodynamic helmet'-Shinji thought as he managed to look at the display.
"Holy crap ! 516 ?! Come on, come on !"-Shinji said out loud as he put his head back down as he tried to watch the blurry road , but instead of actually watching it mostly revolved on riding on automatic memory while feeling his ears being pierced even though the earplugs. Meanwhile Asuka looked at the laptop while nervously chewing bubblegum. '520 , 535 , 540 . Come on Shinji , you have 500 meters left'-Asuka said as the sound of a engine was now roaring louder than any angel at this point
"He's coming !"-Kensuke said as the girls closed their eyes. And so a purple and neon green rocket zoomed by while bringing up the wave of dust and wind lifting up every girl's skirt. As the wind went down Asuka walked up to the radar gun and checked the result
"551 km/h , JA !"-Asuka declared as she started muffling some words in German before tightly hugging Rei. Shinji meanwhile was trying to brake . After 30 or so seconds Shinji finally managed to stop his bike. After that Shinji put the bike on the footer and sat on the asphalt. As he laid his back on the bike and took off his helmet he felt an itch of pain.
"Holy shit so hot !"-Shinji said as he looked upon his bike. And what he noticed was that the disc covers were almost entirely melted down. 'oh crap , and bye disc covers. But the drive ones survived'-Shinji thought as he got up and took the handlebars and started to push the bike back towards the group . After 20 minutes Shinji finally managed to push the bike back
"Here you are !"-Asuka said as she rushed to Shinji and hugged him tightly
"Yep , we did it . But we have a problem"-Shinji said as he pointed at the melted discs. Asuka kneeled down on her knees and examined the plastic before touching the hot brake .
"Aw aw aw aw hot ! hot !"-Asuka said as she was waving her finger in the air. After few minutes Both of them decided to pack up the bike and equipment
"Be gentle with her ! She is more expensive than most of your stuff !"-Shinji said as he pushed the bike on the trailer with Toji and Kensuke
"Hey ! It wasn't my plan for the school-free day to help you and the devil !"-Toji said as Kensuke punched him on the head
"Don't say such a blasphemy ! What we are holding is thanks to today is the fastest street racing bike on this side of the continent , besides Toji he can finish you in 30 seconds for calling his girlfriend a devil"-Kensuke whispered the last part to his ear as Toji looked at Shinji who already had a 'Say that thing again and i'll kill you' facial expression on his face . Toji just swallowed air and the three stooges finally loaded the bike up the trailer. Meanwhile Asuka tried to wipe off Hikari who was covered with dust
"I'm so sorry Hikari , how about I'll take you shopping today as a compensation ?"-Asuka asked as Hikari wiped the rest of the dust from her hair and clothes
"Ehh fine , but I don't know why you keep doing that. I mean understand supporting your other half but getting exciting over something like that ?"-Hikari asked as Asuka looked at her with pondering facial expression
"The reason is that Shinji loves speed . And I know that speed is his ticket to something that besides me can grant him. And that being two things , happiness and thrill of speed. Besides its thanks to him "-Asuka said as Hikari was thinking about a reply before finally replying
"And why do you help him ? I know that being in a couple means tolerating the other halfs antics. But why do you try to push for such a speed ? One minor mistake and he could be turned into a pulp"-Hikari said as Asuka looked at her and than at Shinji helping Aimi and Sakura with the radar gun
"Because for his entire life Shinji pushed for the thrill of speed. And it finally gives my other skills a chance to shine"-Asuka said as Shinji finally folded the radar gun inside the trunk of the alpine.
"Ok everyone , since I know that you're angry. But I made lunch so you can dig up. And because you don't take alcohol or pills here you have some food"-Shinji said as he took out a few bentos. All of them started to eat . As Asuka was talking with Hikari and Rei Shinji alongside Toji and Kensuke were looking at things on the internet
"Look guys , here he goes. And BOOM ! IT EXPLODES AND HALF THE FACE IS GONE !"-Shinji said as they Kensuke took off his glasses
"Jesus christ Shinji , where do you get those videos ?"-Toji asked as Shinji smirked a bit
"4chan and 2chan , and thanks to german lessons from Asuka i can finally see things from Krautchan"-Shinji said as opened another video
"Oh no , is that ?"-Kensuke said as the video started with a image of a jar and naked man in front of him
"OH COME ON ! REALLY SHINJI ?!"-Toji said as Shinji's sociopath genes were being fed by this video
"Big brother , what are you watching ?"-Sakura said as she and Aimi popped up to see what was on the screen . Toji closed the computer in a rush as Shinji barely managed to catch it from falling
"Oh was that one man one jar ?"-Aimi asked as Shinji nodded in agreement
"They should be lucky that they haven't seen one man, one screwdriver"-Aimi said as Shinji swallowed air trying to halt the Vietnam flashbacks in the form of a puddle of pukes.
"Wait what ?"-Sakura asked as Toji took Sakura's hand and took her to the side with Kensuke following them leaving Shinji and Aimi alone. Shinji looked sadly at his bike and the melted plastic.
"Ahh , i think i overdid it again"-Shinji said as Aimi looked at him with pondering expression
"Well , maybe it's enough ? I mean that you probably squeezed everything you could. I may not care about motorcycles like Takuro did but I remember hearing a lot of the times you two read magazines and manuals ? its amazing enough you managed to push 550 with it"-Aimi said as Shinji looked at his bike and than at Asuka
"No , it's not enough . At least not yet , I believe that this bike still has something to show before it's gonna go under the sheets. It has one main task , winning. I want to win and that means going faster . Now our main task is to push for the world record. But now one thing remains and that is to test it out on the track , and due to the lack of track we will have to use the streets. But first clean out the plastic from the discs . Looks like i'm gonna have to use silver"-Shinji said as he touched the front tire of his bike
"But Mana once said that chasing the thrill of speed might kill you"-Aimi said as Shinji frowned a bit
"Aimi , I don't really care about what Mana said . I know that she was one of my best friends but she doesn't really fit in my moral code. Even if i loved her running away to join the military is a big no-no in my book"-Shinji replied as Aimi looked at Asuka and than at Shinji with a red face
"Yet you love Soryu , someone who doesn't completely match you , i get it that you like someone who knows engineering and other things but , you have a good heart while she is literally a devil who brags and is being proud out of your accomplishments"-Aimi said as Shinji is face turned red
"Listen here Aimi , I love you as much as I love Rei. But I love Asuka with all my heart. I know that she seems like that. But she went through some things several people i know would've already kill themselves"-Shinji said as Aimi turned her face away from him
"I'm just sad that you don't have as much time with me anymore. Now it's just Soryu Soryu and Soryu . I'm afraid you're gonna leave me again"-Aimi said as Shinji noticed that tears were forming in her eyes
"Hey hey , don't cry. Of course I wouldn't leave you. Takuro would've kick my ass if did that"-Shinji said as he hugged her
"Shinji , is there a way we could spend some time together ?"-Aimi asked as Shinji wiped her tears
"Well , I need some help with cleaning up the plastic from the discs . So will you help me ?"-Shinji asked as Aimi happily nodded
"Ok , we should be leaving"-Asuka said as all of them got inside the alpine
"All right , key , clutch , gear 1. And here we go"-Shinji said as he put on his gloves and a pair of glasses
"Ehh , where did you get your driver's license done ?"-Hikari asked as she sat on back seat cramped up with Rei , Toji , Kensuke , and the girls
"Heh , I never did"-Shinji said as he pressed the pedal to the metal and made their way towards the old entrance. After several minutes of dangerous high speed driving the alpine with a connected trailer stood in front of Toji's house
"See ya guys"-Shinji said as he shaked Toji and Kensuke's hand and hugged Sakura sparking Aimi's jealousy for her "brother". After they reached the apartment Shinji and Asuka with the help Rei and Hikari unloaded the bike from the trailer
"Ok , I'm going to change and I'm leaving with Hikari"-Asuka said as jogged towards the apartment and 10 minutes of so passed with Asuka returning with a Tape Deck under her armpit and a cassette in her hand.
"Now , I'm leaving. And since you want to work on the bike I brought you this, now see ya"-Asuka said as she put the tape deck and the cassette on the ground and kissed him on a cheek and made her way with Hikari while Shinji and Aimi looked at the bike
"Ready ?"-Shinji asked as Aimi nodded and Shinji put the cassette inside the deck

For the next several hours Shinji and Aimi were cleaning the bike and Aimi was helping him with fixing the mechanical problems and dents . After finally finishing cleaning the bike Aimi and Shinji fell on the ground and fist bump. They laid there for a few minutes as Aimi noticed a message on her flip phone.
"Its mom, she said i have to go home"-Aimi said as she got up from the ground
"I'll get you home , come on"-Shinji said as he gave Aimi his helmet and put on his old goggles and started up the bike . After several minutes due to Shinji riding slowly due to safety with Aimi being onboard they finally reached the Tokyo 3 suburbs. Both of them got off from the bike and made their way towards the door. Shinji knocked on the door and it revealed a woman in her late 30s to early 40s wearing an apron
"I'm back mom !"-Aimi said as she hugged her mother's leg. While she was happy to see their daughter she was quite surprised to see Shinji
"Hello Hiei-san"-Shinji said as he bowed in respect. Even if he knew her since he was 4 he knew that a lot of time has passed since he last saw her. And he wasn't expecting to be pulled into a embrace
"You grew a lot Shin-chan, do you want to stay for tea ?"-Ms.Hiei asked as Shinji nodded in agreement. Shinji sat on the couch as he looked at Aimi helping his mother. 'They both look so happy'-Shinji thought as and Aimi brought tea.
"So , how are you doing here in the new city ?"-Ms.Hiei asked as Shinji took a sip of his tea
"It was kinda hard at the beginning , a few bumps here and there. But i got used to that"-Shinji said as he looked at the window to see his bike standing on the driveway
"You're still riding that old thing ?"-Ms.Hiei asked as Shinji nodded
"Yes , and it goes even faster than in the old days. Today Shinji broke the 550 km/h barrier"-Aimi said as her mother looked at her and then at Shinji.
"Aimi please go to your room , i want to talk with Shinji alone" said as Aimi nodded and made her way towards her room.
"For god's sake Shinji, are you crazy ?! You want to end up like Takuro ?"-Ms.Hiei asked as she grabbed Shinji's hand
"I only wanted to break the speed barrier, there is no other philosophy in that"-Shinji said as Ms.Hiei let go of Shinji's hand
"Wasn't racing with people twice your age enough ? Now you want to break speed records ?" asked as Shinji closed his eyes and breathed in and out
"I want to win , and if I want to win I need to go faster. Besides, I stepped up in terms of safety . I now wear a helmet. Not to mention the price of repairs if i crashed it down"-Shinji said as Ms.Hiei looked unconvinced
"But isn't it enough ? Think about Aimi for a second. She had to bury her older brother because he was going too fast. Now how heartbroken she will be if she has to bury you. You were there for her ever since the beginning" Ms.Hiei said as Shinji looked at his hands and than at her
"I love Aimi with all my heart. I would die for her if I had to. But I can't give up on going faster. It's one of the things that keeps me going . Besides i can die inside an Eva so its 50/50 in my book"-Shinji said as Ms.Hiei sighed
"Shinji , please think about it. I'm not your mother and I would never try to replace her. But you always have a place between us"-Ms Hiei said as Shinji finished his tea
"I'm going to say goodbye to Aimi"-Shinji said as he got up and made his way towards the stairs . As he got up to the first floor Shinji found Aimi's room. As he opened the door he noticed Aimi laying on her bed with her face being buried in a pillow
"Hey there , why the long face ?"-Shinji asked as Aimi turned her face towards Shinji
"Did mom forbid you from seeing me ?"-Aimi asked as Shinji looked at her with a smile
"Let's just say I had to listen to the same talk again and again . Remember this Aimi , it's never enough for me . And i'm too stubborn to die"-Shinji said as Aimi smiled and tightly hugged Shinji
"Will you promise you'll never die ?"-Aimi asked as Shinji looked at her with a pondering expression
"It's pretty 50/50 in my terms. But i can promise that i can try"-Shinji said as Aimi hugged him even tighter.
"So , you're off ?"-Aimi asked as Shinji nodded. As he wanted to leave the room Aimi grabbed him by his hand and escorted him out of the Hiei Household. Shinji said goodbye to both Aimi and and got on his sighed and put on his helmet as he started his bike
"Ok , fuel levels are stable . Disc drives online. I think i can have some fun tonight"-Shinji said as he revved his bike and switched the gear to reverse. After going out on the main street he revved his bike and watched the green sparks going out from the discs. As he revved the bike in front of the lights. After the lights turned to green Shinji blasted away from the lights as Shinji made his way towards the mountain pass. After a few minutes Shinji reached the pass. Of course no one was around since most of the people were licking the wounds after Matarael's attack. 'Damn Angels , now I have to wait another week for racing to return'-Shinji thought and took off his helmet and put on his SDAT earbuds. Outside of the Megamix tapes Shinji also had several one track tapes. Shinji scrolled through his pocket as he finally found it . Shinji looked at the empty street as he pressed the play button and put on his helmet

Shinji twisted the throttle as he blasted away to the first corner . As he leaned to the right he felt how much he missed regular racing . Yeah the tests were nice . But in terms of excitement, regular street racing or mountain passes was still a first place in Shinji's heart. Shinji was now on the straight line as he checked the gauges. '325 ? That's a new record for this track , I wonder how fast I would go back home ?'-he thought as he leaned to the left as he felt his head being close to asfalt . As he got up back he watched the road in front of him with a big grin under his helmet and twisted the throttle. 'Come on come on'-Shinji thought as after a few minutes he finally reached down the mountain . 'ok and the time is . 5:23,45 ? Crap , maybe in the straight line this girl is fast but we have to work in the corners'-Shinji thought as he put down his phone and decided to make his way back towards the apartment. After 30 minutes of "safe" riding, Shinji finally reached the apartment. After putting down the canvas he made his way towards the apartment
"Im home !"-Shinji said as Asuka rushed into his arms and kissed him
"Welcome home dummy"-Asuka said as both of them walked into the apartment
"Hey Rei"-Shinji said as he noticed Rei watching Cutie Honey on the tv
"Hello brother"-Rei said as she didn't took her eyes of tv with the only thoughts inside her head being 'Honey Flash'
"So what do you want for dinner ? Ramen ?"-Shinji asked as Asuka happily nodded and embraced Shinji from the back while he was cooking dinner. After putting the bowels on the table the door of the Katsuragi apartment opened to reveal tired Misato
"Im home"-Misato said as the first thing she did was to stumble to the kitchen for a can of beer
"KIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH ! NOW THAT'S WHAT I WAS WAITING FOR !"-Misato screamed as Shinji facepalmed in either anger or embarrassment. Just as he wanted to sat with the girls he felt a wing of the warm water penguin
"Oh hey Pen-Pen , lemme guess . Beer and Tuna ?"-Shinji asked as the bird nodded. Shinji only sighed and opened the fridge to give Pen-Pen his food and drink
"There you go you little drunk , at least someone respects my work"-Shinji said as he patted Pen Pen's head who began to eat . Shinji silently retreated to the table and started to eat his Ramen
"So , how did the test go ?"-Misato asked as Shinji shrugged it and looked at Asuka
"Well , pretty good . Shinji over there broke the 550 km/h barrier"-Asuka said as Misato looked at Shinji
"Wow, that's impressive ! Why didn't you say anything ?"-Misato said as she punched him on the shoulder
"It's because we still have to work on something , the beast is quick . But it's not agile enough"-Shinji said as he finished his Ramen and washed his bowel before hitting the shower . As he got out he noticed that the girls sat on the beanbags watching TV
"The bathroom is free"-Shinji said as he grabbed a coke zero from the fridge and noticed the line that was in front of the bathroom . After finishing another can of coke zero. Shinji threw the can to the trash and made his way towards his room. As he opened the door he crashed on his bed . After several minutes as Shinji was drifting to sleep the door opened to reveal Asuka
"Now tell me what's wrong ?"-Asuka asked as she went over to Shinji's bed to hug him from behind. Shinji of course didn't mind being used by his girlfriend as a spoon and simply laid there. Asuka noticed that Shinji was stuck in the trans so she kicked him with her knee a little to take him out of it
"Ahh fine , Aimi and her Mom keep saying that it's enough and what I accomplished is my peak . I hate that . I know that the Hiei's care for me but they don't understand that i want to go faster"-Shinji said as he felt the hug tightening around him
"They probably still grieve about Takuro . I mean look at me , I still grieve over my Mama. But I think I see how this works. If he died on a motorcycle, and you do dangerous stunts on the motorcycles. They are simply afraid the same will happen to you"-Asuka said as Shinji turned to Asuka
"Well no shit Sherlock , but I only want them to understand and not to worry. Enough simply doesn't exist for me . It's just one bar to jump across"-Shinji said as he pointed at the ceiling
"And Judging by your philosophy, the thing you are pointing at is enough . And it doesn't exist"-Asuka said as Shinji kissed her on the cheek.
"You know me so well Asuka"-Shinji said as he snuggled with her before finally drifting to sleep
A/N : Well , another chapter done . Lets just say that this filler arc will be laying the fundamentals for the next post angel story which will really REALLY diverge from the main cannon
