Angel: I didn't realize that this episode is actually supposed to be before the one I actually released, my bad on that.
The bell rings for school to end and a whole crowd of students file out. Brad frowns as he's walking. "Boy, I really tanked that test," He complains to himself, hands in his pockets.
"I would've studied, but my sister ate my homework," A boy speaks up behind him, several other kids laughing.
"Well, I had rabies all last week," A girl states, earning laughter again.
"How can you study when alien invaders vaporize your bedroom?" Jenny points out, earning laughing again. Amy looks away awkwardly since that wasn't a joke...not to mention that it's a whole different scale because no one else besides her and Jenny are saving the day all the time. "No, seriously. Try explaining those laser stains to your mom." Everyone just stares at her for a few seconds, Amy pinching her nose.
"I say, I'd forgotten what an absolute freak looks like," Brit remarks to her. "Oh, that's right," She points right at Jenny, making her freeze. "Thank you, Jenny," She walks off with the others, everyone laughing while Brad and Amy glare at them. Jenny sags her shoulders.
"Ignore them, Jen. They haven't got a clue about the life of a superhero," Brad remarks, Amy coughing awkwardly.
"That's just it. No one does."
"Mm," Amy narrows her eyes in annoyance, Jenny smiling sheepishly at her.
"I wish I didn't stick out like a sore, opposable digit," She laments to them.
"Well, they just don't understand what it's like. They haven't lived in your shoes," Amy gestures to Jenny.
"Speaking of opposable digits," Tuck walks up to them with Claudia, Emily, and Piri. "Get your thumbs ready for the grand opening of...the Goop Zone!" He shouts loudly in their ears, making hair flop from everyone besides Jenny.
"Oh, I forgot all about it," She says apologetically, Amy adjusting her hair while Tuck smiles widely. Suddenly screaming is heard in the distance. "Guess that's for me," She readies her pigtails. "See you tonight," She flies off into the sky.
"Be at our house at 7 sharp!" Brad calls out to her, Amy whistling awkwardly.
"I...forgot something in my locker, I'll meet you at 7!" She then dashes away so fast she leaves smoke, shocking them all.
"Where does she go all the time? Nowadays, we don't see her as much as we did," Claudia rubs her chin.
"Maybe she's got a secret boyfriend," Emily teases her, Claudia waving it off.
"We would've known by now, she'd never keep something like that a secret."
"We could follow her," Brad smirks and they flinch before giving mischievous smiles.
Amy hides herself in a locker and transforms before flying straight up out of the locker and out into the sky. She flies away just as the others go inside the school to find her.
Jenny tracks the panic to a subway, and suddenly this giant goop monster shoots out of the entrance. People and cars move away from it as it starts stomping and destroying everything. It wiggles around like a slug, roaring as Jenny and Amy arrive. "Great, XJ9 and Ms. Mecha vs. Tadzilla," Jenny deadpans at this. "Another story starring Jenny, the one-of-a-kind freak."
"Jen, right now we gotta focus on-"
A light shines bright, causing them to recoil back a bit. Amy groans in pain from the brightness and then they look up to see three flying teenagers! "It's Teen Team time!" They all cheer in unison. The one in blue and white speeds right past them like it's nothing, causing Amy to spin around a bit. Jenny checks his speed from her monitor.
"Whoa; Mach 5," She smiles in awe as Amy adjusts herself, feeling dizzy.
"The Amazing Orion! Take that, tadpole of terror," He points blue lightning or energy at it, and it knocks him into a wall with its tail.
"The Stupendous Squish!" Squish turns into toothpaste and then a small squid with a hat. "Never seen a bronc that can't be broken," He latches onto the slug like it's a bull, cheering. "Yeehaw! Yee-hee-hee-haw!" The slug also knocks him into a wall, causing him to splatter.
"The Elusive Mist-ery," She charges forward, doing a flew flips before turning into smoke entirely. "Okay, Tadzilla, let's see what's behind that pretty face," She goes into its body. "It's just a kid...and its biggest fear is spankings..."
"Spankings?" Orion raises a brow in confusion.
"That's our specialty, guys," Jenny announces as they glance behind them to see her and Amy flying side-by-side. "Just hold him down." They dive forward, Squish shrugging and turning into a man. Orion holds it up as Squish summons giant knees. Orion puts him down as Jenny's hands turn into a hand wheel of sorts. Amy's hand grows bigger, the slug growling until it gets spanked, starting to cry.
"We did it," Mist-ery in shadow gets out of the slug. "Our guppy friend has given up," She turns back into her normal form. Orion tosses it back into the sewers and everyone cheers for the four as they wave and smile at the crowd. Jenny glances at the trio, smiling happily as she's found her people.
Brad looks at his watch as the girls are running 15 minutes late. "Goop Zone!" Tuck and Piri cheer as they run around their siblings. "Goop Zone! Goop Zone! Goop Zone! Goop, goop, goop, goop, goop, goop, goop," They actually run up the wall of the outside of the Carbuckle house. "Goop, goop, goop, goop, goop!"
The trio look annoyed at the two. "Come on, let's go."
"We're wasting vital goop time!" Piri pouts up at her sisters.
"No, we better wait for Jenny and Amy. Jenny already feels left out as it is, but if you want to," As soon as Brad puts down Tuck, he dashes down the sidewalk, Piri racing after him. "You and Piri go ahead," He finishes with a deadpan look.
"Just be careful or Amy's gonna ground you if you don't behave!" Claudia calls out after Piri, who didn't seem to hear her.
"I can't believe it," Jenny gushes as the five are at Tremorton's sign. "A group of superhero teens, just like us," She smiles as she admires them. Amy just sits on the letter O as she watches Jenny. "Where did you guys come from?"
"From outer space," Mist-ery comes out of hiding. "Natch," She doesn't have her mask on, revealing that she's a bit pale. She then starts jumping around. "We were born in totally different galaxies. But we did have one thing in common," She lands in front of Jenny and Amy. "All three of us felt like outsiders in our own worlds." Squish slid over to her.
"So we got together and formed the team to hang out-"
"And kick some monster butt," Orion adds in with a smile.
"Yeah, it pays the bills," Squish turns into a piggy bank.
"Wow, I've always done it for free," Jenny places a hand on her cheek.
"You'd never know it," Mist-ery tells them. Amy raises a brow, wondering what that meant. Mist-ery eyes Amy very closely, making her nervous as she bites her lip.
"How did you two become a team?" Orion points at the duo.
"Oh, well, one day, I...crash landed on this planet, she found me, we became friends slowly over time, and then she asked me to be her partner," Amy smiles at the robot. "And I've been doing it ever since." She doesn't wanna give away too much since she just met them, and trusting them with the secret that she's actually human would be too much too fast.
"You guys got some righteous moves," Orion informs the girls.
"You totally fit right in," Mist-ery adds in with a smile.
"Like a glove," Squish turns into a glove.
"We do, don't we?"
"Hey, don't leave me hanging," Squish smiles and the two high-five his face. "Ow..."
Mist-ery continues staring at Amy as something felt off about her. She could just feel like Amy was hiding something, because she has the power to sense things like that.
"Brad!"
"Guys!"
It's now nighttime as Jenny or Amy didn't show to meet them. "You won't believe it!" The two finally reach the trio. "It's amazing! The goop! The candy! The prizes! The speeches! The fun! ...Guys?" They look up at their older siblings as they didn't respond. The three are actually asleep into Tuck rushes into the house. He comes back and Piri grins widely as they do something to their siblings. "Sweet dreams, bro..."
"I'm gonna stay up all night!" Piri cheers as she heads home, Tuck going inside. All three look like clowns, but Brad has no pants or a shirt on...
"I mean, how can you study when alien invaders vaporize your bedroom?" Mist-ery complains to Jenny as they had been talking all night. Amy rubs her eyes with a yawn.
"Exactly."
Jenny's belly bolt rings right then and she presses it. "Uh-oh. We gotta go. But we'll be back right after school, okay?" Jenny tells them as Amy stands up, stretching her arms.
"Man, now I gotta go to school running on empty," She murmurs as she hadn't gotten any sleep, since she's not a robot or an alien that wouldn't need it.
"That's not necessary," Squish dismisses and she frowns. "We were getting tired of you guys anyways." He then turns his face into a clown face. "Psych!" Jenny chuckles and Amy laughs weakly at this. She was honestly dreading having to face her sisters as she realizes she was gone all night without telling them anything.
"I'll see you later," Jenny laughs as she and Amy fly away to school.
Brad and Amy snore into their lunches. "Guys? Guys! Guys!" Jenny calls out to them and they lift up their heads. Brad's still wearing the dumb fake glasses.
"Huh?! We're awake! We're awake!" He looks like he has a fake green beard.
"I can see that," Jenny smiles in amusement.
"Oh, hello, Miss Robo No-Show," He deadpans at her while taking off the glasses. He would chew out Amy, but he'll save it for later because she's just as tired as he is.
"Sorry about that, Brad," Jenny smiles apologetically. "But I met these really amazing kids with Ms. Mecha called the Teen Team. You would love them, and I promise to meet you outside the Goop Zone tonight, for sure, okay?"
"Okay," He doesn't sound too happy about it, though.
"Great...um," She gestures to her chin and he looks down at his face. He removes it to reveal a mustache instead. Amy places a hand on her cheek, closing her eyes. She then snores as she falls asleep again, letting her face hit the table.
"Ah!" She snaps awake after her forehead hit the table.
"Why didn't you show?" Brad turns to her. "You said you were getting something from your locker and then we couldn't find you after that."
"Umm...we had to deal with a slug in town, and it captured her. But then it made her drowsy and she's still feeling the effects," Jenny lies to him, Amy rubbing a temple. She just hopes that Jenny wouldn't get caught up with them again, she needs sleep to function unlike the others.
The two fly and land on something. "Guys, where are you?" She looks at what they're standing on. "T-T? Teen Team!" They take flight again, following two arrows to a soda factory that looks abandoned. They step inside, looking around in the dark. "Guys, you in here?"
"XJ9, Ms. Mecha, you have been selected to join the legendary Teen Team," Orion's voice announces to them.
"Seriously?" Jenny smiles happily, Amy yawning with a weak smile.
"Great."
"But first..."
"The initiation," Orion finishes for Mist-ery. They turn around to see the team in cloaks.
"Psych!" Squish gets into their faces.
"That was just to set the mood," Mist-ery smiles, taking off the hood.
"Let the real initiation begin!" Orion announces to them.
"Where we test how sharp you two are as superheroes," Squish's head turns into a buzz saw, tossing it at the both of them. The two fly over it and Squish destroys a conveyor belt instead. They land safely, jelly holding up giant nail fliers. Squish turns into a wheel, landing on the ground...with his teeth all messed up. Mist-ery flips over to the duo, knocking both of them to the ground. The two get up to battle her, kicking and blocking all of her attacks. It's to the point where they just stand while she attacks. They jump back a bit, Jenny summoning multiple hands and legs. Amy flips over to Mist-ery while Jenny attacks her, Amy sweeping her leg and then kicking Mist-ery while she's in the air. She hits the wall while her body is tied up.
"Okay, girls," Orion flies above them. "Let's check your speedometer," He flies past them and they follow, making bows and then their names out of clouds. He then flies below them, causing them to look down. "What's the matter? Can't stick to me?" He flies backwards, and the two blink at each other.
"Hello," Squish flies above him, getting Orion's attention. "You've got earthlings on your back." He looks down to see that they are indeed sticking to him. He screams in alarm and stops, swatting at them. "Get 'em off! Get 'em off!"
Squish turns into a hammer, knocking them off and sending them flying towards Mist-ery. She turns into a flaming wall before reading both of their minds. "I've got 'em." The two try to block her out. "Their weaknesses are..." Jenny presses her belly bolt, shutting off her brain. "Ah, she shut off her brain. I got nothing. And Ms. Mecha's is..." She pauses and then gasps. Before she can say anything, Amy simply grabs the flame and throws her off, surprising Mist-ery as no one's ever been able to do that before. Jenny giggles while slumping her body.
"Jenny's head get smokey."
"Oh boy," Amy sweats a little at her. "Sorry, she gets weird when she's like this."
"You're true hero material, Jenny," Mist-ery tells her with a smile.
"Welcome to the Teen Team," Squish grins, hands on his hips.
"Congratulations."
Jenny falls onto the ground, Amy looking down at her. "Jenny go boom..." She giggles and Amy shakes her head.
"Great, another quality recruit. As if Squish weren't bad enough," Orion remarks while walking off.
"Hey!" Squish turns into an exclamation point.
"What about me?" Amy raises a brow, Mist-ery flinching.
"Uhh...we'll talk about it," She says dismissively, flying off with Squish to talk to Orion. Amy just looks on in confusion, wondering what was going on. Mist-ery whispers something to them and their eyes widen, glancing back at the brunette, who just feels awkward.
"Umm...Ms. Mecha, it's nothing personal. Actually it is. But we can't let you join," Orion explains and she freezes.
"...Why?" She places her hands on her hips.
"Look, you may be Jenny's...partner and all, but she's much better off with us. I don't know why she chooses to hang out with a regular," Squish says rather rudely.
"Excuse me, a regular?" Amy scoffs at them. "You mean a human?"
"Humans just aren't our thing," Mist-ery informs her. "And in your case, you're...well, not like other regulars. We'd just wouldn't be taken seriously with you around."
"...You found out I used to be a boy, didn't you?" She narrows her eyes at them and they say nothing, glancing at each other awkwardly. "Unbelievable," She whispers to herself, pointing at them. "I thought you guys were cool, but now you're just being jerks. Me being born a boy shouldn't have anything to do with it. Jenny offered to have me as a partner, and it's the best thing that's ever happened ever since I even became a girl."
"Still doesn't make it any less weird," Orion crosses his arms. "Jenny's with us now."
"You can have her! I'm out," Amy huffs, storming off. If she wasn't gonna be on the team for both being human and being born a boy, she didn't wanna be anywhere near them. She just hopes that Jenny will realize how awful they are as heroes sooner than later.
"Attention, the arcade will be closing in one hour," A woman announces at the Goop Zone...as Jenny and Amy are both no-shows again. Brad frowns while waiting at the door. "So will the loser in front make up his mind?" He looks up as she's talking about him. "Is he going to sulk all night or come in and have some fun?"
"I'll show you what fun is," He grumbles at being called out. "You've never seen fun like I'll show you fun."
Amy arrives, looking annoyed as she waves. "Hey, Brad, don't wanna talk. Let's go," She says quickly as she walks past him and he blinks at her.
"Yeah, baby!" He cheers once they're in. He takes a goop blaster and starts firing. Two teenagers duck underneath a table as Amy joins in, firing back. Brad laughs as he fires, going over to the animatronic mascot Goopy. He then crawls on top of it, pumping his fists. "On top of the squirrel, ma!"
"Hey, you!" A janitor calls out to him. "Get down! That squirrel is a goop-free zone!" He gets gooped on by Brad, who fires at Sheldon, Tuck, and Piri. Amy, Claudia, and Emily join in as they fire back at the group, ducking as the squirrel animatronic breaks and then goes off on its own. Brad screams as the girls fall off, looking up in alarm. A group of people scream, moving away to leave only a helpless baby! Three shadow Ts appear in the sky and he looks up happily.
"It's Teen Team Time!" The three announce, with Jeny there. They fly down and make a catapult for Jenny to fly forward and punch it to the ground. Everyone cheers as the four land to celebrate.
"Jenny?" Brad pops up next to her. Amy doesn't look too happy to see her, though.
"Hey, Brad," Jenny then realizes that she forgot their plans again. "Brad. Goop Zone. Ah, gosh, am I late?" She feigns innocence as Amy crawls up to them, arms crossed. She flinches and gestures to the others. "Hey, Brad, I'd like you to meet the Teen Team. Hey guys, this is my friend Brad."
The three glance over to them, stopping in their tracks. "Yeah, sorry, Jen. We, ah, don't associate with regulars. It's like we told Ms. Mecha earlier."
"...Psych!" Jenny points at them, giggling, but both Brad and Amy aren't amused. "You got me."
"He's perfectly serious, Jennifer," Orion tells her, Squish crossing his arms with his head held up high. "We just don't fit in with regular humans. It never works out. That's why we didn't let Ms. Mecha into the team. Mist-ery found out that she's a human. A...different one at that."
"I know it's hard, Jenny, but we outsiders have to stick together," Mist-ery places a hand on her shoulder.
"Come on, Jen, let's blow this popsicle planet," Squish states, all of them flying off at the same time.
"Leave the Earth?" Jenny whispers to herself in disbelief. "Ms. Mecha didn't get in?"
"So those are your new super friends? What a bunch of losers," Brad scolds her, Amy nodding in agreement with him. "I mean, none of your regular friends would make you wear spandex. Synthetics so don't go with metal. You look like you're ready to do some aerobobics," He and some other kids laugh at her. "Get it? Aerobobisc? You don't need it. You already have buns of steel!"
"Hey, knock it off," Amy pushes him slightly. "That wasn't cool."
"What do you say, Jenn? Losers, huh? Jenny? Jenn?" He looks to see that she flew off. "She's actually leaving? Well, that's fine! Good riddance! Go be a Team Teeny Booper. We don't need you anyway."
"Unless you want some excitement in our lives," Tuck points out. Brad frowns, sagging his shoulders. "Without Jenny or Ms. Mecha, nothing thrilling will ever happen."
Amy smiles weakly at Tuck.
Some pounds in the grass appear in town before it's revealed to be a giant frog, which lands on top of Goop Zone. It roars down at them. "Okay, maybe not..." Tuck corrects himself. Amy then slides down the mascot, heading for the bathroom.
"You guys, wait," Jenny stops the trio, flying in front of them. "Regulars aren't so bad, and Earth as so much to offer; the oceans, the mountains, and turtle racing every Thursday night at Mezmer's."
"Look, kid, roaming the universe is what we do," Orion reminds Jenny.
"You'll love it, Jen," Mist-ery smiles up at her. "Come with us."
"What was that whole thing with my partner, though?" Jenny glares at them. "Why didn't she get in? You told me she'd meet us there and she didn't."
"We just told her the truth," Squish replies nonchalantly. "That she can't be seen with us because...well, she's not really like us."
"What?!" Jenny shouts at them angrily.
"If I didn't find out she was a human, she would've gotten in easily," Mist-ery crosses her arms while floating.
"But all that armor doesn't mean she's a hero. It's embarrassing that you've been partners with her for so long the way she—it is," Orion dismisses, Jenny glaring at them while clenching her fists.
"How DARE-"
They hear the roars from the Goop Zone and Jenny gets a closer look using her telescope. She then sees the frog banging on the roof. "The tadpole, it's grown up, and attacking the Goop Zone." She then zooms in to see Brad shooting at it while Ms. Mecha flies up, blasting it with a laser, but it doesn't do much good. "Brad's down there, and my partner needs help!" She turns around to the trio. "Guys, we're responsible for that overgrown tadpole. We have to help; come on," She's about to fly off when Orion stops her.
"Let the local authorities handle it."
"I am the local authorities," She corrects Orion, pointing a thumb to herself.
"Okay, ego check. This planet did just fine before you showed up, and it'll be fine when you leave. Leave your partner to do it if she's so inclined," Squish rolls his eyes. "You wanna be one of us? Then let's go."
"Yeah, and we're not going down there just to help a faker," Mist-ery tells her. She glares and flies down there, ignoring them.
Brad continues firing at the giant frog, but it does nothing. Amy flies up to it, but it smacks her onto the ground next to Brad. Enny appears and summons the spanking hands, using that against the frog. He smacks her away, flinging his tongue to capture her. He then eats her whole.
"Jenny!" Amy shouts while looking up at her.
"Hey pond-scum, let her go, or face another barrage of Brad!" He presses the trigger...but is out of goop. The frog steps in front of him and he smacks the blaster against the foot. Amy picks him up and flies around the frog, distracting it.
Meanwhile, Orion, Squish, and Mist-ery watch from the clouds. She sees just how unwilling Amy is to give up, realizing that maybe they were too quick to dismiss her skills as a hero. She places her hands on her hips, giving them a scolding look. Especially since Squish has popcorn. "Enjoying the show?"
"Actually, yes," Orion smiles at her. "I've got 20 dollars riding on the frog."
"You losers," She flies down to the frog.
The frog smacks Amy and Brad down onto the floor again, this time breaking one of Amy's wings. She grits her teeth, sitting in front of Brad as she looks up. The frog raises a foot, about to step on them both. "Hyah!" Mist-ery comes flying in, kicking the frog so that it spits out Jenny. Brad and Amy smile, rushing over as Jenny and Mist-ery attack it, but this doesn't help. "This is getting us nowhere."
"I know; got any bright ideas?"
A light flashes in front of their faces, Brad and Amy sitting on spotlights. "Hey, toad breath!" Brad calls out to it. "Yeah, you. Come on, slime ball, over here."
"You know you want some!" Amy waves her hands. The frog throws its tongue and Brad pushes Amy out of the way, flipping a lever. The frog gets electrocuted and then turns into dust.
"Not bad for a regular," Mist-ery flies over to them as Brad helps Amy up from the ground. Jenny flies over to them.
"Regular? Brad and Ms. Mecha are true super friends. Although I definitely could've done without the lying," Jenny gives Mist-ery a subtlety angry look. Mist-ery rubs the back of her neck awkwardly, about to say something when the crowd starts cheering for them. The two girls place the lights over Brad and Ms. Mecha, who take in the praise.
"Gotta go," Mist-ery walks over to Jenny with a smile. "You sure you can't come with us?"
"No, Earth's where I fit in best," Jenny states as Amy slides down to them. "With the best partner I could ask for," She places an arm around Amy, who grins happily.
"I'm...really sorry I misjudged you, Ms. Mecha," Mist-ery looks away in shame. "You and Jenny were right. We shouldn't judge you because of who you used to be. And it wasn't cool of us to treat you like that."
"...You know, it's the first time anyone's actually apologized for doing that ever in my life," Amy states, hands behind her back. "Yeah, it was a jerk move to judge me, but with friends like I have, it's not as hard to go through stuff like that alone. And you actually helped us and realized you were wrong, so...we're cool. But I'm definitely not letting you do that to someone again."
"Promise I won't."
"And hey, call me Amy," Amy smiles a bit.
"Cool. And don't worry, your secret's safe with me," Mist-ery winks at her, flying backwards while waving. The two smile up at her. "See you guys in the stars, robot girls."
Thankfully Brad wasn't listening in and Amy clears her throat, jerking her head to him. "Brad, I'm sorry I've been such a jerk," Jenny states sadly to him. "Can we be friends again?"
"Mm, maybe...but first, there's a little initiation you have to pass," He smirks at her.
Jenny and Amy laugh while getting gooped by Sheldon, Brad, Tuck, and Amy's sisters. Amy was also forgiven by them since she did flake at least once on them. Jenny then shuts down, walking forward out of control. The group look to each other in concern before she flies in front of them. "Psych!" They all laugh in unison, and spend the rest of the night having a good time.
