A group of girls are chatting in school, all of them holding envelopes with heart stickers on them. Another group of girls surround the Crust Cousins as Brit holds up another envelope. "And the last invitation to the Crust Cousins' annual sleepover goes to...Pteresa," She hands it over, the other girls walking away in disappointment.
"Awesome!" She smiles happily. "That fudge and feather prank last year was the best. I can't wait to see how you top that."
Brit's eyes widen as she glances down at her cousin. "Neither can we..." Turns out, they didn't have a big prank planned, which is a tradition during their sleepovers.
"What are we gonna do this year?" Tiff wonders to her.
"It must be unparalleled in its rascality," Brit declares, shaking a fist.
"Girl, we need something extreme," Tiff smirks at her cousin.
"A secret weapon..."
"Something huge and freaky!" Her eyes go wide as she looks to both Jenny and Amy opening up their lockers. Jenny hums a song while placing her books in her bag using a giant claw. Amy turns to her curiously.
"Hey, what song is that?"
"Oh, I just heard it one day on the radio. I'll let you listen to it when we get home," Jenny offers her with a smile.
"Cool. It's gonna be great, we're gonna have movies, popcorn, and all sorts of stuff so that you can experience what a real sleepover is like. Though my sisters are definitely gonna help, I'm not always into the girly stuff," Amy glances away awkwardly. "Last time Emily gave me a makeover and it was just..." She shudders in horror. "Never again."
The cousins smirk at each other knowingly. Brit snatches two invitations from a pair of girls, running up to the duo. "Oh, Jenny! Amelia!" The two walk away, ignoring her. "Won't you come to our slumber party, darling?"
The two stop and glance back at her in disbelief. "Come on—I wasn't built yesterday and Amy's no fool either. What do you have planned? Replacing my batteries with roasted weenies? Pouring soda pop on my circuits? Or embarrassing my friend again just because you don't like the fact that she used to be a boy?"
"No way would I ever even think about going to your slumber party," Amy holds her head up high. "Unlike you and Tiff, I actually have standards. You really think I don't remember how you've been trying to make me miserable ever since I stepped into school when I transitioned? Or when you framed us for arson? Or when you had those freaky crystals and attacked Jenny with them? Besides, Jenny and I already have plans to have our own sleepover tonight."
"Oh, but ladies..." Brit pulls them closer. "It's those very naughty things we've done that we'd like to make up for. Let's start over."
Amy raises a brow, scoffing and crossing her arms. "Well..." Jenny hesitates at this.
"Please, girls. We want you both to be our guests of honor," Brit insists to them, even though Amy is right to believe that something is up.
"Oh please!" Amy exclaims in disbelief. "I don't buy it."
"A slumber party guest of honor?" Jenny could just imagine sleeping in a bed between Brit and Tiff marked guest of honor. "It does sound tempting..."
"Jen!" The brunette turns to her in protest. "She's making that up. It's just a ploy to get you to come so that they can secretly embarrass you anyway," She gestures to Brit, who tries not to snap at her to be quiet.
"We need your RSVPs. Now," Brit insists to them, ignoring Amy.
"Okay, I'll be there, your guest of honor!" She runs off, dragging her friend with her.
"Guest of horror, more like it," Brit hints to Tiff, rubbing her hands together. "If we play our cards right, we can use that little robot freak to pull the greatest night of pranks in Tremerton history!" A group of girls gather around them, all of them laughing in unison.
"Jen!" Amy gently pushes the robot off. "What about our own slumber party? My sisters are really looking forward to it."
"Oh...I'm sorry," Jenny frowns as she realizes what she did. "Well, we can always reschedule it."
"Tell that to Piri then. I'm not gonna deal with her disappointment when she finds out she's not gonna eat any sugar tonight," Amy walks off, Jenny following after her with a smile as she looks at the invitation. "You can't seriously think they wanna make up for everything..."
"But what if they really do mean it?" Jenny wonders to her.
"Jen, in all my years of being in Tremorton High, not once have I ever seen them act this nice before. It's obviously a trick. These are the same girls who wrote freak and thing over my locker and desk during my first day being a girl. AND they humiliated me at lunch by drawing attention to it."
"Well, okay, that is pretty bad. But I have hope that you're wrong. People can change."
"Say that all you want, but I'm definitely not going," Amy shakes her head, ripping up her invitation in half. As soon as she drops it, a flock of girls go over to fight over the ripped invitation.
The door knocks and Nora walks over. "Coming, coming," She opens the door to find Skyway Patrol at her doorstep. She slams the door in their faces. "No one's home!"
They storm in anyway and she winces. "We're here to issue a warning."
"Some other time, please," She tries to close the door on them, but is unsuccessful as they push their way back in.
"This concerns your XJ9 unit and since we have no idea who she is, Ms. Mecha."
Nora pushes against the wall with her feet. "I'm in the middle of a very important experiment," She pushes back to the point where she could literally close half their bodies into the door. One of them sniffs the area.
"Hey, do I smell cookies?"
She chuckles with a smile. "As a matter of fact, I just made some, and I-" They suddenly rush into the house without getting her approval. She narrows her eyes in annoyance, looking back at them and glaring.
"We have some concerns about XJ9 and Ms. Mecha," One of them muffles from the cookies. "Carl?" He presses the little red cone from the top of his head to show a chart on the wall. "Our latest reports indicate a 20 percent rise in mischief, a 40 percent rise in shenanigans, an 80 percent rise in tomfoolery, and don't even get me started on the horseplay."
"This is ridiculous," Nora grunts at them. "My XJ9 and her friend-"
"Get one last chance," He holds up a finger. "If we spot them at the scene of any trouble, either together or alone, General Harsgate will order the confiscation and dismantling of the XJ9 unit and her partner." Nora's eyes widen in horror upon hearing this news.
"Gentlemen, it's time for you to leave," She holds up a red button and pushes it. The door turns into a magnet, flinging them forward. The door then flips around so that they're outside, dropping all of them into the ground. "My XJ9 or her friend are not dangers to anyone," She tells them before slamming the door.
"Mom!" Jenny then literally slams the door into her mother. She opens the door to see her mom stuck to the wall in pain. "Mom, I was invited to the Crust Cousins' annual sleepover. Isn't that great? I need super-cute pjs," Jenny dances around happily. "Yellow, with feetsies. And a boss sleeping bag."
"I'm sorry," Nora crosses her arms. "But a slumber party is out of the question."
"Oh, Mom!" Jenny complains, getting on her knees to beg. "Please? Please, please, please?" She extends her knees.
"You can go down on 20 knees, but the answer is still no. I have Skyway Patrol breathing down my neck, and you need to stay under my watchful eye till those imbeciles cool their jets. Your friend needs to stay out of danger as well."
"Fine!" Jenny stands up in anger. "Stupid Skyway Patrol," She grumbles bitterly in her room. "This isn't fair. I'll show her. I'll just go to the sleepover anyway."
"I really can't believe you're sneaking out just for this," Amy pinches her nose while on the phone with Jenny later that night.
"Skyway Patrol are so lame," Jenny rolls her eyes. "Why should they get involved in my business?"
"Hey," Amy narrows her eyes a bit. "Not all of them are lame."
"Name one then," Jenny challenges her and she clamps her mouth shut.
"...Anyway, they're not entirely annoying, but I did wish they'd back off sometimes," Amy looks annoyed at the fact that they want them to stop trying to help the town. "They can't really order you dismantled, will they? If you get in trouble out there, they'll find me and figure out who I am."
"Relax, I'll be fine," Jenny tries to assure her while opening up the window. "Are you sure you don't wanna come?"
"Oh, believe me, I'm sure," Amy rolls her eyes to the back of her head. She's in her living room surrounded by her sisters watching a movie on the floor.
She extends her legs out the window. "Alright, I'm heading out. I'll call you later!" She says in excitement and then hangs up. Jenny then slips past her mother who's in the living room reading a book.
At the Crust Cousins' sleepover, all the girls are talking while in pjs. The doorbell rings and Brit turns around. "That must be the guest of honor. Smiles, everyone." She opens the door...to find Jenny's extended legs. She then slips in while holding her sleeping bag.
"Oh, this is a slumber party? The girls, the games, the chips, the dips, and everyone's awake." She then shrinks herself down in happiness. "This is so much better than I imagined."
"Welcome to the club, girlfriend," Tiff points at her. "Psst!" She waves one of the girls over.
"Here," Stephanie runs over and places her sleeping bag down. "You can sleep next to me."
"I'll give you a makeover," Jantrice offers her.
"And then I'll give you one," Jenny opens up a robot kit, the girl looking a bit put off by it. Tiff slides between the two.
"But first, as guest of honor, there are a few ceremonial duties you get to perform."
"We'll have so much fun," Brit puts an arm around her.
"I don't get why Amy thinks this was a bad idea, this is great," Jenny smiles to herself.
The group walk down the street. "And so I said, 'no, silly, the gas goes in my carburetor'." All the girls laugh, but unenthusiastically since they can't relate to it. That, and they just find it weird.
"Oh, Jenny, you are a gas," Brit starts off. "But you know what would be even more hilarious? Oh, if you say...flipped over one of these cars," She points to a parked car right in front of a store.
"But...that would be wrong," Jenny says with a raised brow.
"Come on, Jenny," Stephanie speaks up. "It's just a harmless prank."
"I don't know..." She shrugs in hesitation.
"Oh, maybe you'd better head home and sleep with all the other babies like Amelia," Brit mocks, earning laughs from the others as Jenny blushes in embarrassment.
"No way!" She stomps over and grabs the back, reading the plate that says 'I brake for nice people'.
"Go, Jenny! Go, Jenny! Go, Jenny! Go, Jenny! Go, Jenny!" The group of girls cheer. She uses her arm as a lift and then gently flips over the car, putting it down. They surround her as they keep cheering. Jenny laughs mischievously as she runs over and flips another one the same way. "Yay, Jenny!" She starts flipping more cars and they honk as they fly into the air. After they're surrounded by cars, the girls all cheer her on, and they all follow her down the road.
"This is so typical," A girl remarks to a boy in their car.
"How is this my fault?"
Someone knocks on Nora's door loudly and she slams it open. She has curlers in her hair and a bathrobe on. "What is the meaning of this? It's after midnight!" She demands as it's the Skyway Patrol from earlier.
"Exactly. It is past robot curfew and our trackers show that XJ9 is not connected to her charger," He shows her a device that says she's offline.
"She isn't?" Nora asks in surprise, but also wondering how they managed to do that without her knowledge. "Uh, I mean, of course she isn't. She's, uh, mopping the furniture—uh, dusting the floor, uh, you know, doing chores. Robot chores. Robot chores at midnight." She then silently slams the door, going up to Jenny's room to see that she's not there. "XJ9?" She moves away the blanket to see a toaster laying there. "A toaster? Oh, I told XJ9 not to go to that party, and now-" The toaster dings, interrupting her. "Mm, sourdough," She smiles at the smell. She then looks out the window as Skyway Patrol are at Amy's house now. "That young lady is in serious trouble."
"Look, I told you, I don't know anything about Ms. Mecha," Amy frowns at the Skyway Patrol officer, who sighs slowly.
"I wish I could make all this go away, but your vice principal has told me that you're involved with her in some way. You always seem to be around whenever XJ9 is," He says gently to her, unlike with Nora.
"That's because she's my friend! I just try to make sure she's okay, and you can't keep track of everything that goes on here," Amy defends with a sigh, shaking her head. "Tell me the truth, how bad is it?"
"Pretty bad. Look, we have to locate the XJ9 unit-"
"Jenny," Amy narrows her eyes.
"...Jenny, and then rest assured, we'll be back about Ms. Mecha," He goes over the ship, Nora and Amy watching as it flies off.
"Even more trouble if I don't find her first."
"Jenny..." Amy sighs while shaking her head. She gets a coat and puts it on. "I'll be back, guys! Jen's snuck out with Skyway Patrol on her back and I've gotta find her."
"Oh..." Claudia looks nervous for some reason. "Oh, that's bad...we'll stay here in case Skyway Patrol comes back."
"Why can't they just leave Jenny alone?" Piri looks annoyed.
"Well, they don't like what she's doing. I think it's a jealousy thing," Emily shrugs at her. Amy smiles happily at their support and closes the door. Nora sees her run into the driveway and gets out her scooter.
"Amelia! You know where XJ9 is?"
"She's at the Crust Cousins' house! She should be there, but keep a look out in case something happens!" She calls out and drives down the road. Nora narrows her eyes. She's gonna go and find Jenny too…so she can be grounded.
"You must be thirsty after all that heavy lifting," Brit gestures to Tremerton Lake. "I bet you could swallow this whole lake."
"Go, Jenny! Go, Jenny! Go, Jenny! Go, Jenny!" Jenny extends herself up to the sky, her body turning into a giant ball. Her mouth then extends as a vacuum, sucking up all the water.
"Aha!" The Skyway Patrol notice all the flipped cars. "Just as I thought; robot shenanigans." They then speed off to follow the trail of cars.
"This never used to happen when I was dating Charlie," The girl scolds, looking away.
"Oh, here we go again," The boy deadpans, a car driving past them and making them spin around. That car happens to be Nora's.
"I hope I'm not too late."
A stomp is heard as Jenny is walking around with all the lake water still in her. She uses her pigtails as sprinklers and starts spraying it everywhere.
"Yes, J9! Yes, J9! Yes, J9!"
Meanwhile, at Tremerton Lake, it's raining there thanks to Jenny. The Skyway Patrol ship lands, the driver turning to the other two with a deadpan look. The ship starts to fill with water as the two patrol officers grin awkwardly. "It's a beautiful night. Let's take the convertible jet," He mocks as it was their idea to use the jet in the first place. He looks up ahead and his eyes widen. "Dr. Wakeman?"
She pretends to be fishing, though in reality, she had tracked Jenny to here and was trying to distract them. She gives a nervous laugh. "You know, they're just not biting tonight," She waves a hand.
The group of girls end up at the zoo and Jenny releases all of the animals by pulling apart all the bars. "Enjoy your freedom!" She calls out as they all go past her.
"That's nice," Brit gestures to her. "Now she'll have someone to play with..." They all erupt in laughter, before screaming and running away from all the animals that leave the zoo. Jenny runs up as a turtle lags behind.
"Wait for me, you guys!" She chases after them. Nora arrives too late, as do the Skyway Patrol.
"Our tracker says that-" All the animals run past them, a monkey attacking the driver. "Get it off me! Get it off!"
"Ah, fellow animal lovers," Nora looks back at them. "Don't you just love this new organic, cage-free zoo?" She then calls Amy as she drives off. "Amelia, I'm following her route! I just drove past the zoo."
"Got it!" Amy drives off from the direction of the Crust Cousins' mansion, heading straight there.
"Well, Jenny, there's just one last tiny prank. No sleepover would be complete without a joyride!" They're in the airport, surrounded by a bunch of planes. Tiff turns to the other girls.
"Stink bombs ready?" They all hold them up and Tiff grins widely. "Next stop: City Hall!"
"Wait a minute—this is taking things too far," Jenny looks up with a frown.
"Jenny, you don't even have to throw the stink bombs," Brit protests to her. "You're just going to fly us."
However, the robot starts to look conflicted; they'd definitely taken things way too far. "You only need to help us with one last super-cool adventure, and we're friends forever," Tiff tells her, even though they're lying.
"Friends? Forever?" She imagines all of them at an old folks home, with her obviously not aging. "Oh...okay," She relents and the girls smile. She flies off a plane just as Nora and Amy arrive, looking up at her.
"XJ9! No!"
"What are you doing, Skyway Patrol is right behind us!" Amy calls out to her, but she can't hear them.
"And for her final stunt, Jenny will amaze her new friends with a triple-decker loop-de-loop on the way to City Hall. Oh, I should remind them to fasten their seat belts," She extends her neck as Tiff and Brit laugh from the pilot area.
"Can you believe that clueless creep?" Brit asks as they relax. "We get all the fun, and she gets all the blame."
"Who else could drop stink bombs on City Hall besides jet-powered Jenny?" The two then laugh evilly, unaware that Jenny had overheard the whole thing. She frowns in realization, putting her head back down on her body.
"I should have known. They were just using me. Amy was right all along...I should've never abandoned our slumber party for this." She flies the plane back down.
"Uh, Jenny?" Tiff wonders in confusion. "What is going on?"
She glares up at them and runs down the road. "How could I have been so stupid? Now I've got a huge mess to clean up!" She uses her arm as a net, hearing something above her. She looks up and beams happily to see Ms. Mecha flying over her. "Amy! How'd you know I was here?"
"Your mom and I followed you! And I'm gonna help you get out of this!"
Jenny smiles gratefully as Amy picks up some animals, Jenny catching some with her net. However, she missed some at a hot tub, looking back. Amy salutes to her and picks them up, her suit thankfully giving her super strength to carry them all.
"This had better be worth dragging me out of bed at 2 in the am, Lieutenant," The general grumbles from the front seat, wearing his pajamas.
"Yes, General, wait till you see the destruction XJ9 has caused. No doubt her partner is off somewhere else causing trouble as well. We've tracked XJ9 to the airport," The ship zips past the two girls going to the zoo with all the animals. An elephant's trunk pats her on the head.
"Forgetting something?"
"Mom?" She looks up to see Nora sitting on top of the elephant.
"The Skyway Patrol is hot on our trail," She stands up in determination. "We need to put everything back the way it was, and fast," She slides down the elephant, chuckling and jerking a thumb behind her. "I've always wanted to do that."
Jenny turns herself into a cannon to fire all the animals back to their habitats. Amy tosses them gently into cages while flying around the zoo.
The Lieutenant looks embarrassed as they didn't find Jenny or Ms. Mecha there. "So the airport was normal, but wait till you see the mess at the zoo." They land in front of the zoo, the man standing up and pointing forward. "You see, General? Look at this place."
The animals are there...just not in their right homes. But even then, every single one of them is accounted for. "Animals in cages, what a tragedy," The General remarks sarcastically, not even noticing that they're in the wrong cages.
Jenny vacuums up all the water in her body, Nora looking up at a soaking cat. She then uses the vacuum on it, and its fur gets all poofy. She gives a thumbs up to Jenny, who flies back to Tremerton Lake, Amy following them from behind. "We're in range of the lake. Courtesy flush," She smiles as she pulls Jenny's pigtail like a toilet, flushing out the water. The Skyway Patrol are already there, the Lieutenant pointing at it with his back turned. "Look, look!"
The water falls from the sky and the General peeks from behind. "Very picturesque, Lieutenant. Where's the picnic lunch?" The Lieutenant looks back in shock to see the water's returned.
Jenny flips all the cars, flying off with her mother. "It may have taken three hours in a locked car, but I finally agree," The woman from the couple say as they walk out. "This relationship is worth saving after all."
Then the Skyway Patrol ship lands and smashes their car. "I swear—they were all upside down," The Lieutenant insists, flying into the sky.
"This is so typical," The woman looks up in annoyance.
The Lieutenant kicks open the door as another soldier slams on the door of Amy's house. "XJ9 is not connected to her charger, Amelia knows who and where Ms. Mecha is, and I can prove it!"
They open Jenny's door to see the toaster on her bed. "Aha, see? See?"
"Hi, officers," Jenny greets while doing those chores Nora mentioned earlier. Amy smiles as she helps out. "Can we help you?"
"Sorry I'm not at home, but my friend wanted some help getting her chores done. You know, her nightly chores that she does every night?" Amy grins in amusement. "Hope Ms. Mecha's doing the same thing, wherever she is."
"Lieutenant-or should I say Private?!" He rips off the shoulder badge from the Lieutenant. "Take me home. Now."
"Toast?" Nora offers him, and he narrows his eyes down at her.
"This isn't over, Wakeman. We've got eyes like eagles, and we'll be watching," He smashes the toast to bits, storming off as they go back into the ship. "We'll be watching!" He shouts from outside before flying off. Two animals from the zoo walk around past the house.
"Whew," Nora sighs in relief as Jenny sleeps in bed. "Sneaking out, overturning vehicles, emptying the lake, freeing animals from the zoo-"
"I'm glad you and Amy were there to help me, Mom," Jenny interrupts with a smile.
"Yes, well-"
"And it was great the way you shook off Skyway Patrol for me," Jenny adds in, Amy dusting off her pajamas with a smile.
"I suppose so."
"I've been there with the Crust Cousins, Jenny. No one deserves to get tricked by them," Amy gestures to herself.
"Because you don't think I'm a freak, do you, guys?"
"No, I don't," Nora pats Jenny on the head, her and Amy walking off with smiles. "I just think you're grounded for two weeks." Her and Amy freeze at her statement, the brunette wincing. "Goodnight, XJ9."
"Goodnight, Mom..." Jenny grumbles as Amy shrugs with a sheepish smile, turning off the lights. "Goodnight, girls," She smirks at the window, as she left the girls on top of City Hall for them to be punished in the morning. They all scream while the plane is tilting around.
