You know what? For a while I thought that Kenji was an alternate version of Walter, but eventually I realized that this was not the case.
One theory I have is that he was a friend from Flynn's past life, just like Akira, but unlike him, Kenji didn't get the chance to live a new life, as is what happened with Akira becoming Nanashi.-Lucian Naruto
Nah, I think Jonathan and Walter are Kiyoharu and Kenji. Especially since beta Kiyoharu looks nearly identical to beta Jonathan. Heck, aging back his current design would easily give you Jonathan. He has the same eyes, skin tone, and curly hair. Kenji is less clear, but that's because he's transformed obviously. I think they are the chosen law and chaos reps because they aided those sides in their past lives.
Chapter 62 Light of Destruction
Flynn glared daggers at the impostor who took the form of his fallen friend. He raised his gauntlet in response to White Issachar's challenge.
"You will never extinguish the fire of my resolve, imposter.", Flynn replied.
"Our fifth son, it is our fate to endlessly repeat the same mistakes. Given this, what other salvation can there be than returning everything to naught…? Your choice is wrong…We will prove that to you...", White Issachar replied.
"Duel!/Final duel!", Flynn and Whote Issachar said.

"I shall tune Plaguespreader Zombie and Mezuki! Ruler of darkness slumbering within the depths! Rise up once more to reclaim your kingdom! Synchro summon! Level 6! Revived King Ha Des!", Flynn chanted.
White Issachar remained eerily blank faced as he did so. He didn't seem to be passionate about anything at all.
"Then, I shall activate the effect of Plaguespreader Zombie to send a card from my hand to the top of the deck to special summon it. Then, I shall set two cards.", Flynn said.

"Then, I shall tune Plaguespreader Zombie and Ha Des!", Flynn said as he narrowed his eyes at White Issachar.
He felt hatred spike within him as he remembered Issachar's fate. He wanted to destroy him for daring to impersonate his friend. Flynn's eyes flashed red for a moment.
"Unyielding beast unable to be overcome through sheer might! A fierce storm stirs as the twin headed beast of destruction awakens! Synchro summon! Level 8! Beelze of the Diabolic Dragons!", Flynn chanted.
"So…you are summoning the beast you claimed from your friend's corpse.", White Issachar commented.
"It's not like that…", Flynn replied, hiding his discomfort.
"The first thing you did after his demise was reclaim that card from him. That is because humanity is obsessed with power. You are the same, fifth son. Caught in such worthless desires.", White Issachar replied.
"He took it from me when he beat me. So, I just took it back when I won. That's it.", Flynn replied.
"Your desire is like a black hole. You will eventually destroy everything around you so that you may soar to greater heights. You will never be satisfied with where you are and continue to consume more.", White Issachar replied as Flynn narrowed his eyes.
This darkness inside him has been festering for longer than his parents demise. For a while he has constantly thought about getting stronger and stronger.
"…My desire is not born from greed! I simply want to protect those around me from anyone who might try to harm them. I shall continue to do so by defeating you. I end my turn.", Flynn said as his fist shook.
The dark power from Beelze felt so good flowing through him. Flynn shook his head trying to keep himself straight and not lose himself. He felt so drawn to the dark power like a moth to a flame.
"Look at my form…It is the image of your friend Issachar, who was torn asunder because of you. You spelled his doom. The most proper course of action regarding this world that killed him…I will demonstrate it to you using this form.", White Issachar said.
"So that's why you're making a mockery of his memory?! How deplorable!", Flynn hissed.
"We draw…", White Issachar said.

"We of the White are the light that shall reduce all to naught. We are the Light of Destruction. Especially of those steeped in darkness such as yourself. Your selfish desires have clouded your mind and prevented you from becoming a messiah.", White Issachar explained.
"I'm steeped in darkness?", Flynn questioned.
"From your soul down to your very atoms…you are a being of darkness. You were born to uproot the order in this world.", White Issachar explained.
Flynn's eyes widened wondering if he was referring to his connection to Doom Originator and Doomking.
"The Signers only come around in an era where a threat from the underworld arises. You ARE that threat, fifth son. You were supposed to return to your true form 25 years ago, but something went wrong…", White Issachar explained.
"You're saying the Signers and the Signer Dragons are in this era because of me?", Flynn questioned, stunned.
"Exactly. The Crimson Dragon has always tried to stop the likes of Doomking or the Earthbound. Your darkness has prevented you from becoming a savior. All you will do now is pedal the world into an endless hell.", White Issachar replied.
Flynn was silent at this.
"He's saying that I'm inherently evil…Is that why I hurt everyone around me? T-that…that can't be true!", Flynn thought.
"We can target one light monster we control using Astel's effect to special summon one level 7 light dragon monster from our hand. We choose Starry Night, Starry Dragon.", White Issachar said.

Flynn's eyes widened when he saw the dragon looked just like Seiyaryu, but white. The dragon looked down at him silently without even a roar. It was just as eerily emotionless as the White.
"Like your friend we have chosen this monster as an avatar.", White Issachar explained.
Flynn looked weirded out by what they'd done to Issachar's monster. It used to be so full of life, but it was merely a shell now.
"We shall end this duel. We activate the effect of our dragon to destroy a card you control we choose the facedown one on the right.", White Issachar said as he pointed at the card.
The white dragon fired a beam at Sakuretsu Armor, eradicating it. Flynn looked surprised to see he guessed right on the card he should destroy.
"We know your schemes, fifth son. They are all for naught. We shall attack Beelze with our dragon. When it attacks a dark monster that monster is banished until the end phase and our dragon can attack again.", White Issachar declared.
With a flash of light Beelze was suddenly dispelled from the battlefield. Then, the white Seiyaryu fired at him and Flynn sweated nervously.
"Should I just let this happen. The White might be right about me. As long as I exist Doomking reaching his true power becomes possible. Since the very beginning I've been bringing doom to everyone just as I am.", Flynn thought as his eyes were shadowed.
"Do not give up, Master Flynn. You can win and you need to. The White is wrong about you. Remember what you said? You have chosen to defy your fate. They admitted Ryou was able to do so you can too.", Burroughs said, suddenly shocking him.
"I activate Battle Fader from my hand! Ending the battle phase and special summoning itself!", Flynn countered.

"…It seems you have chosen to foolishly preserve yourself. We shall end our turn.", White Issachar said.
Beelze returned to the field with an angry roar.
"If my fate was what you described then I shall defy it just like Ryou did! I draw! Then I shall activate my trap Needlebug Nest to send the top five cards of my deck to the graveyard.", Flynn said.

Ghostly howls could be heard as the cards were sent. Those sent were: Necroworld Banshee, Shiranui Spectralsword, Breakthrough Skill, Bottomless Trap Hole, and Mezuki.
"My cards have responded to my feelings! They and Burroughs believe too!", Flynn said.
"Wrong. They believe in you because you are their progenitor.", White Issachar replied.
Suddenly Flynn's monster's partially materialized around him glaring or roaring at White Issachar as if rebuking him.
"Your the one that's wrong! I shall banish Mezuki to special summon Ha Des from my graveyard! Arise!", Flynn said.
"Your efforts are futile, fifth son. Fate is set in stone. The best you can do is delay it.", White Issachar replied.
"I don't care what you say! I already did the nearly impossible by evolving Doomkaiser and I will do so again! I shall summon Plaguespreader Zombie.", Flynn said.

"I shall tune Ha Des and Plaguespreader Zombie!", Flynn said.
He closed his eyes as he remembered his brother's parting words.
Flashback
"Brother…", Flynn murmured.
"You need to live a long life, Flynn. Start a family, have kids or whatever else you want to do. I will always be watching over you even if you can't see me. I'll be there. Bonds are beyond the grave.", Joseph said as his body started to fade away in Flynn's hands.

"I need to keep my thoughts clear and not let him shake me.", Flynn thought.
Flynn's eyes opened filled with determination. He's gotten stronger than he used to be. Even after what happened to Joseph he was able to regain control of himself. White Issachar reacted for a moment when he could feel a strange breeze. He could swear for a moment the lotus appeared in Flynn's hand before vanishing.
"Pious dragon, fallen and abandoned into the depths of the netherworld arise once more! Your ferocious power shines through even in death! Synchro summon! Level 8! Skeletal Dragon Felgrand!", Flynn chanted.
Felgrand growled as he was summoned, but he couldn't do a thing to Flynn. His eyes widened feeling the air around Flynn. It was like his mind was suddenly untouchable and unshakable.
"When he is special summoned I can target one monster you control or in your graveyard and banish it. I choose your false Seiyaryu! Necroclaw of the Undead!", Flynn declared.
Felgrand swiped his hand oozing with ghostly energy and sent the white Seiyaryu away.
"I shall attack Rayel with Beelze! Dual Diabolic Roaring Cannon!", Flynn declared.
The dark dragon vaporized the white knight with blasts from his twin heads.

"Then, I shall end this with Felgrand! Phantasmal Ghastly Roar!", Flynn declared as Felgrand charged up flames within his mouth.
The undead dragon flinched, feeling compelled to listen. He recognized the aura around Flynn was similar to Doomking's right now.
"We shall activate the effect of Starry Knight Flamel discarding it to special summon a level 7 light dragon monster when our opponent declares an attack.", White Issachar countered.

Felgrand's fire overwhelmed the new dragon and reduced it to ash.

"How long shall you foolishly cling to existence, fifth son? We shining draw.", White Issachar said, those weird chorus of voices from his first dream could be heard.

Flynn looked confused seeing a flash of light when he drew his next card.
"We shall activate Starry Knight Balefire which allows us to add one Starry Knight monster or level 7 light dragon monster to our hand. If we control no monsters and our opponent controls a dark monster we can special summon a level 7 light dragon monster in our hand and special summon it. We will add Starry Knight Orbitael and to special summon choose Starry Night, Starry Dragon.", White Issachar said.

You can only activate 1 "Starry Knight Balefire" per turn.
"And here I thought I had gotten rid of that thing.", Flynn said as his monsters growled wearily at the monster.
It was as if they could sense the wrongness coming from it too.
"It would have been. But, our will is so strong it materialized another copy.", White Issachar said.
"Wait…you just materialized the card out of thin air on the spot?", Flynn questioned.
"It's very strange…you may have not known this, Master Flynn, but Doomkaiser's evolved form appeared in your deck right before you dueled Ryou. The power you and Doomkaiser used to accomplish such a feat took years to build up. I have never heard of a card materializing mid battle out of nowhere.", Burroughs explained.
"Is that allowed…? I mean that card was already in my deck, but he just materialized a new one mid duel.", Flynn questioned.
"…..There's no rule saying you can't.", Burroughs replied.
"I don't think the rules were made to account for something like that.", Flynn replied.
"We shall summon Starry Knight Orbitael and use its effect to tribute a light monster to set a Starry Knight spell or trap card from my deck. We shall tribute Orbitael and set Starry Knight Arrival from our deck.", White Issachar said.

"We shall activate the effect of our dragon to destroy your Felgrand.", White Issachar said.
Felgrand was suddenly annihilated.
"We shall attack your Beelze banishing it and then attack your Battle Fader.", White Issachar declared.
Flynn's field was completely wiped clean of cards.
"We shall end our turn.", White Issachar said.
Beelze then returned looking thoroughly annoyed.
"I draw!", Flynn said as there was a chorus of ghostly howls and a powerful wind.

"Final turn!", Flynn said, coolly.
White Issachar wasn't amused by this declaration.
"I shall activate Pot of Greed to draw two cards.", Flynn said.

"I shall activate Book of Life to revive Felgrand and banish your Astel. This triggers Felgrand's effect when he is special summoned banishing your false Seiyaryu again! Necroclaw of the Undead!", Flynn said.

"We shall activate our trap of Flamel to return our dragon to the hand.", White Issachar countered.

"Then, we shall activate our trap Starry Knight Arrival to special summon our dragon back. We shall use its effect to destroy Felgrand again.", White Issachar said.

"I shall then banish Necroworld Banshee to activate Zombie World from my deck! Melody of Souls!", Flynn said.
Necroworld Banshee sung her tone as wisps appeared and suddenly lots of color was brought into the White Forest.
"Your moves are futile, fifth son.", White Issachar said.
"We'll see about that. I shall banish my second Mezuki to special summon Plaguespreader Zombie from the graveyard! Then, I shall tune Plaguespreader Zombie and Samurai Skull! Here's some prey for you to dine on! Synchro summon! Level 6! Celestial Wolf Lord, Blue Sirius!", Flynn chanted.
White Issachar frowned knowing Flynn was far from done.
"I shall banish Shiranui Spectralsword and Samurai Skull! I shall use his effect to special summon a synchro zombie monster from my extra deck! Necro Style: Tuning! From the dark depths of the grave arise, great dragon noble even in death! Your dreadful roar signals your enemies doom! Synchro summon! Level 6! Doomkaiser Dragon!", Flynn chanted.
Doomkaiser erupted from the ground with a prideful roar that echoed throughout the White Forest. Flynn's eyes widened when he saw Jonathan and Walter run in from opposite sides of the forest.
"That's impossible…that means you defeated the others.", White Issachar said.
"Of course, we did. We're no pushovers.", Walter replied.
"Unfortunately for you your fellows failed to drive us into despair.", Jonathan said.
Flynn smiled feeling very thankful to his fellows for being there.
"I knew you'd guys would never fall to their kind. Now it's time for me to end this! I shall banish my third Mezuki to special summon Felgrand! I shall then banish your false Seiyaryu again! Necroclaw of the undead!", Flynn declared.
"Your moves are foolish and unnecessary.", White Issachar said.
"It looks like your mad Flynn's about to overkill you.", Walter commented.
"Scanning…Excuses, unjustified resentment, self-justification, a rash desire to negate oneself…I don't see any good reason to join their cause.", Burroughs said, scanning White Issachar.
Walter gasped, completely stunned by the quality roast.
"Nice one, Burroughs.", Jonathan said.
"I shall attack you directly with Doomkaiser! Death Spectral Howling!", Flynn declared as Doomkaiser eagerly released his flames.
The purple flames engulfed White Issachar.
The White LP 2400 - 2400 = 0
"W-when will we have salvation? Remember this...you WILL lose your fellows no matter what you do. You couldn't save me…even at the end!", were White Issachar's last words before he vanished.
Flynn's eyes widened, noticing he sounded like Issachar at the end. His demeanor from before vanished and a tear stained his eye. His fellows came up to him and he smiled.
"Like Stephen said I have to choose the path I believe will allow me to save my fellows.", Flynn thought.
All three of them were suddenly enveloped by light. Something was beckoning the three of them out of the White Forest. Flynn could feel it was the time. They shall be pulled to the one who shares the same ideals as they do. The time of decision has come.
Nothing will ever be the same for them ever again…
