A/N: I don't own Harry Potter or any related characters
Note: once again flashbacks are in italics
Luna stared at the poster. Whatever Lily had sprayed with it had started to dissolve it.
"Luna, I'm sorry! I thought if Severus' idea worked, I could get rid of these things before you woke up."
Luna nodded.
"I understand. Is Sirius right, did they do this to all the common rooms?"
"Yes, well, at least ours and Slytherin. None of the Ravenclaws or Hufflepuffs have said anything to anyone yet, but probably. Why?"
"Marlene, I think she did this," Luna whispered. She looked at Sirius. "I'm sorry, you're in the photographs too."
"I don't care about that, everyone knows what I look like shirtless. Girls used to line up to watch me swim in the lake," Sirius bragged, causing Lily and Luna to roll their eyes. "No, I am furious that they did this to you, Luna."
"Lily, can you show me the spell you used, maybe with the three of us-"
"Four," the younger student chimed in. Luna looked over at her. "I mean, if the spell's something I can do. I want to help."
"Sure, here," Lily said, demonstrating the spell and the proper wand movement. Soon the common room and most of Gryffindor tower had been cleansed of the offending posters. The spell had the nice after affect of leaving everything smelling like oranges. Luna took in a deep breath, a hint of a memory floating to her surface of her thoughts.
"Mum, I want to help!"
There was a wooden table. It needed to be cleaned.
"Alright, here, use this rag and bucket of water."
"But that's the hard way!"
"But you're not old enough to use magic yet. Here, dip the rag in here, a few swipes on the table, there you go, just like that."
A larger hand on hers, moving her hand and the rag, swirling bubbles in the water. It smelled like oranges, lemons, something citrusy.
"Luna?"
Luna blinked, returning to the present. Lily and Sirius were looking at her.
"Could you repeat the question?" she asked, giving them a sheepish look.
"Do you want Sirius to carry you down to breakfast or just stay here and have someone bring you something?" Lily repeated.
"I want to go down, face this thing head on. I am not hiding because some arsehole wants to embarrass me in front of the whole school," Luna answered. "I am not going to hide and act like whoever did this won."
"Right then," Sirius laughed, scooping her up. "We can shoot these things down as we go," he added, handing Luna her wand.
"Should I get dressed first?" Luna asked, remembering she was still in her nightdress.
"Might be a good idea, but then again, it does look good on you," Sirius flirted. Luna gave him a quick kiss before turning to Lily.
"Help me upstairs and dress," she said. Lily nodded casting a perfect hovering charm on Luna. They returned to the common room a bit later. James and Remus had joined Sirius.
"All the posters from the boys' dorm are gone. Sirius showed us the spell. I guess, maybe, we should thank Severus for it," Remus said. Luna nodded, wrapping her arms around Sirius' neck.
"We should, but first, breakfast, Sirius promised I could shoot these things down as we went. Whoever shoots down the most gets a chocolate frog!" she exclaimed, still furious about things, but making herself find a way to get through this. She knew it was only going to get harder once she stepped out of the tower and into the public eye once again.
