~~Hello readers, I'm back with a new chapter.
I do not own anything from My Hero Academia.
Only my original characters belong to me.~~
~At The Hospital: Sioku's POV~
It was still late at night.
Many hours passed by as I slept peacefully in bed.
I was still hooked up to a few machines.
The nurses would come into the room every half hour to check my stats on the monitors.
Fortunately, my condition only continued to improve.
Luckily, they didn't wake me up.
~At The Warehouse: No POV~
Dabi walked into All for One's bedroom wearing a relieved expression on his face.
All for One, Tomura, Magne, and Kurogiri were present in the room.
"Good evening Dabi," greeted All for One.
"Same to you Master," Dabi replied as he sat down on the sofa.
"You're looking happy tonight, did you go see Sioku at the hospital?" asked Magne as she stared at Dabi.
"Yes Magne, Sioku's condition has improved tremendously. She will be released tomorrow morning," Dabi answered.
"Thank you for the great news," replied All for One.
"I'm so glad to know that she is all right," Tomura added softly.
Dabi smiled gratefully at Magne and said. "Thank you for staying at the hospital with Sioku until her family arrived. I'm sure she appreciates all of your love and support."
"It's the least I could do for her," Magne replied.
"You've done well Magne," praised All for One.
Magne smiled gratefully at him in response.
"Master, when do you think we'll be able to see Sioku again?" asked Tomura.
"Hopefully soon," All for One answered.
A long period of silence passed between the five of them.
"Have any of you heard anything about Kai Chisaki since this whole incident happened?" asked Kurogiri.
"We haven't heard a word on the news yet," answered Tomura.
"I hope that man is rotting in a prison cell somewhere," Dabi commented.
"Same here," replied Tomura.
"It sounds like you two finally agree on something," Magne said proudly.
Tomura and Dabi stared awkwardly at her in response.
~At My House: No POV~
Kara and Melody were just about to get ready for bed.
The two girls had been watching Tv for a few hours.
Meanwhile, their dogs Deku and Tsu were waiting by the front door for Sioku to return.
"Melody, I'm going to leave these big dogs down here again. They will be fine," said Kara.
"Okay sis, I'll take them outside as soon as I come down here tomorrow morning," Melody replied.
Melody led Jersey up to her room for the night.
Kara allowed Deku and Tsu to stay in the living room for another night.
She also went up to her room.
~Morning~
~At The Hospital~
I woke up to the sunlight shining brightly through the window in my room.
My ears were once again met by quiet beeping sounds coming from the monitors that I was still hooked up to.
I thought about Dabi in order to prevent myself from freaking out.
A knock on the door suddenly pulled me out of my thoughts.
"Come in," I answered.
A female nurse quietly entered the room.
"Good morning Sioku," she greeted.
"Same to you ma'am," I replied as I sat up.
"How are you feeling today?" She continued.
"I'm all right," I answered with a yawn.
The nurse then checked my vital signs on the monitors.
"You're looking really well Sioku," she said with a relieved smile.
"Thank you ma'am," I replied.
"I'll go report your improvement to the doctor now," said the nurse before she exited my room.
I sent Kara and Melody a text message to let them know that I was awake.
Five minutes later, Kara responded back: We'll be there soon.
Staring out the window, I slipped back into my thoughts.
Dabi was still fresh on my mind.
Those few hours that I spent with him the previous night were pure bliss.
I couldn't get his soft voice or image out of my head.
To my surprise, a text message from Tomura popped up on my phone.
The message read: Hello Sioku, are you awake?
I replied: Yes Tomura, how are you this morning?
Tomura answered: I'm okay, everybody at the warehouse has been worried about you.
I smiled and responded: Please don't worry Tomura, I'm feeling much better. Dabi came to visit me last night.
Tomura replied: That's great news.
In the midst of my conversation, the nurse entered my room carrying a tray of food in her hands.
"Hello Sioku, I've brought breakfast for you," she said.
"Thank you," I replied graciously.
I immediately started digging into the food.
"Oh wow Sioku, you must have been hungry. Your condition has definitely improved," the nurse commented as she looked at me.
I took a sip of water and then replied. "I'm really excited to go home. My dogs are waiting for me."
After breakfast, the nurse cleaned up my table.
Then she carefully removed the second IV line from my arm.
"Sweet freedom," I thought with a smile.
I stood up and stretched my legs.
"It feels good to get up," I said.
"I'm glad to see your strength coming back. However, I need to keep you on the monitor for another hour for observation. You should be released afterward," she replied.
The nurse then exited my room.
~At My House: No POV~
Melody woke up to the beeping sound of her alarm clock.
She reached over to her bedside table and turned off the alarm.
The screen on her clock read: 9:00 AM.
Jersey shook off on the bed beside her.
"Good morning Jersey," Melody greeted as she petted the dog's head.
The dog affectionately nuzzled her in return.
Melody slipped out of bed and walked over to her closet.
After changing into a regular outfit, she brushed her hair in front of the mirror.
Melody grabbed her bag before exiting the bedroom with Jersey following behind her.
Jersey panted happily as she ran down the wooden staircase.
Deku and Tsu woke up as they heard the noise.
They immediately rushed toward the bottom step while wagging their tails.
"Let's go outside," said Melody as she met up with the bigger dogs.
Jersey ran circles around Deku and Tsu while barking loudly.
"Knock it off Jersey," Melody scolded.
Jersey whimpered excitedly while pawing at Melody's legs.
Melody quickly led all three dogs toward the back door and let them outside.
Kara heard all the noise and emerged from her bedroom.
"Melody, did you just let the dogs out?" asked Kara as she descended the stairs.
"Yes, Jersey got hyper again. I'm sorry for her behavior," Melody answered remorsefully.
"I'm just glad that noisy dog is outside now," Kara said with a sigh of relief.
Melody and Kara quickly went about their business and then drove straight to the hospital.
Much to their surprise, the pro hero Endeavor pulled up next to them.
"Good Morning Endeavor, what brings you here?" Kara greeted as she stepped out of her car.
"Hi Endeavor," added Melody.
"Same to you Kara, I would like to speak with your sister. The other pro heroes and I still need more information on that masked villain," Endeavor answered as he joined her.
"You have my full permission to come with us," said Kara.
"Thank you very much," he replied graciously.
Without further delay, Endeavor led Kara and Melody into the large building.
Kara checked in at the reception desk and then led her younger sister into the elevator.
Endeavor stood directly behind the girls.
After ascending to the correct floor, the group made their way down the hallway.
~Inside The Hospital: Sioku's POV~
Complete silence filled my room as I sat quietly on the bed.
I was too far lost in my own thoughts to acknowledge that the door had been left wide open.
The sound of a younger chiled screaming suddenly entered the space which startled me out of my thought process.
I curiously listened to the commotion in the hall.
The child sounded like he or she was in pain.
My face saddened as I heard their cries.
"This is why I don't like hospitals," I thought.
Luckily, I got the perfect distraction when I saw my sisters enter the room with a man following behind them.
This man was muscular with short crimson hair and sharp turquoise eyes.
"Good morning Sioku," greeted Kara.
"Hi Sioku, how are you feeling today?" added Melody.
I smiled brightly and responded. "Hello sisters, I feel great. The nurse told me that I should be able to go home today."
"Really? That's good news," said Melody.
"I can't wait to go home," I replied.
The older man wearing a flame costume approached the bed and stood in front of me.
"I don't want to interrupt your conversation Sioku, but I would like to speak with you. I am the pro hero Endeavor," he greeted in a deep voice.
Endeavor's voice was strong enough to drown out the scary sounds outside my room.
I smiled at the man and responded politely. "Good morning Endeavor, I'm pleased to meet you. I see you on Tv all the time."
"That's nice Sioku, but can you describe Kai Chisaki for me? I need that information in order to help me catch him easier," Endeavor continued.
"Yes, he is pale with short shaggy auburn hair and gold eyes. He also has a scar on the left side of his face. Chisaki was wearing a black shirt with matching pants, a green tie, a dark green bomber jacket with a purple fur collar, white gloves, white sneakers, and a magenta mask. He also had three piercings on his left ear," I explained.
Endeavor wrote all of the details down in a notepad.
"Thank you Sioku, where did Chisaki take you?" he added.
I sighed heavily as those fresh traumatic memories played in my mind.
"After I collapsed, Chisaki carried me into his driver's car. The driver took us to a huge building in the city. I woke up in a small room with white walls and medical equipment everywhere. My body was bound to a wooden table by thick straps," I explained.
"Sioku, why was Chisaki after you? What did he do to you in there?" Endeavor asked gently.
I stared intently at him in order to suppress an oncoming flashback.
"That man was after my cell activation quirk. First, Chisaki used needles and a machine to extract blood from my veins. Then one of his followers put two tubes in my nose and used gas to weaken my muscles. Then Chisaki drained fluid from my back with a larger needle. Lastly, he hooked more tubes to my chest," I answered shakily.
Kara and Melody stood silently with stunned expressions.
Endeavor put a hand on my shoulder and spoke gently. "It's okay Sioku, that villain won't come after you anymore."
I started to relax under his gentle touch.
"Thank you Endeavor," I said softly.
"You're very welcome Sioku, thank you for letting me speak with you. I appreciate all of the information," he replied.
Endeavor then waved at us before he walked out the door.
"That man is really nice," I said to Kara.
"Endeavor and I have been friends for a few years now," Kara replied with a smile.
Our conversation was soon interrupted when the nurse entered my room.
"Hello ladies," she greeted.
"Good afternoon," I replied with a smile.
"Hello," added Kara.
The nurse checked my vital signs on the monitors.
"Sioku looks good enough to be released today," she said happily.
"That's wonderful," replied Melody.
I sat on the bed with Melody while the nurse helped Kara fill out my discarge paperwork.
The nurse then removed the wires from my body.
Kara handed me my regular clothes and said. "Sioku, you may go into the bathroom and change out of that gown."
"I'll do that right away," I replied as I stood up.
I made my way in the small bathroom and quickly changed back into my clothes.
Then I left my gown on the back of the toilet.
I exited the bathroom and found Melody standing beside the door.
"Hey Sioku, are you ready to go home?" she greeted happily.
"I sure am," I answered with a smile.
In the midst of our conversation, I heard my phone buzzing on the table.
I hurried over to the table and picked up my phone.
Ariel's name popped up on the lock screen.
I held the phone up to my ear and said. "Good morning Ariel, I'm going home today."
"Hi Sioku, I'm so happy to hear that. How are you feeling?" Ariel replied on the other end.
"I feel great," I answered happily.
"Sioku, do you think that Kara would let me come over to your place?" Ariel continued.
"I'll have to ask her for permission first," I answered.
"That's fine, I also want to hear your story when we see each other. Would you mind telling me?" Ariel said quietly.
"Not at all," I whispered.
Ariel perked up and responded. "Okay, hopefully I'll see you later."
"Bye for now," I said before hanging up the phone.
"Sioku, who was that?" asked Kara as she looked at me.
"Ariel, she wants to come over later. Is that okay with you?" I responded.
"I don't mind," Kara answered.
I smiled and sent a text message to Ariel: Kara gave you permission to come over.
Ariel responded: That's awesome, I'll meet you there whenever you guys get home.
I picked up my bag and secured it over my shoulder.
The nurse kindly led my family and me out of the room and down the long hallway.
I bowed my head in fear as I heard those frightening beeping noises coming out of every room that we passed by.
"This will all be over soon," I thought.
I breathed a sigh of much needed relief as soon as we entered the elevator.
"Are you okay Sioku?" asked Melody.
"Yes, but I'll never get over my fear of hospitals. This fear will never go away," I answered with a disappointed look.
Nobody spoke a word as we descended back to the first floor.
Once outside the elevator, Kara led Melody and me toward the door.
Those beeping sounds faded into silence as we exited the main lobby.
The fresh air felt very relaxing.
I was both relieved and thankful to be out of the hospital.
The sweet scent of fresh cut grass filled the air as we strolled down the driveway.
The sound of constant traffic on the street pulled me into my thoughts as we walked.
My family and I then situated ourselves in Kara's car before she drove off.
I pulled out my phone and sent a text message to Dabi: Good morning, i am finally out of the hospital.
Dabi responded: Same to you, that's great news.
I stared out the window lost in deep thought.
My thought process was soon interrupted when I heard Deku and Tsu barking in the distance.
A feeling of pure joy washed over me as the big fluffy dogs came into my view.
I smiled and waved at them.
The dogs wagged their tales while staring at me.
Kara parked her car in the driveway of our home.
My siblings and I hopped out of the car as soon as it came to a complete stop.
I gladly led the pack as we climbed the steps.
"Hold on Sioku, I need to unlock the door first," Kara said as she moved in front of me.
She unlocked the door using a key and then opened it.
I ran inside and set my bag down on the living room couch.
Melody and Kara followed after me.
"I'm going to get the dogs," I said as I ran through the kitchen.
"Be careful Sioku," Kara called after me.
The dogs' whimpers of excitement could be heard as I rushed over to the back door
I couldn't help but giggle at the sound of their nails scratching against the glass.
"Come on dogs," I said while sliding the door open.
All three dogs immediately bolted inside and surrounded me.
"I missed you guys too," I said happily.
The sound of their heavy panting made me laugh.
I ruffled their fur as they circled around me.
All of my fears of the hospital began to melt away at once as I watched them.
The dogs excitedly whipped me with their tails as I led them into the living room.
Jersey growled at Deku and Tsu as they playfully nudged her with their noses.
"Shut up dog," Kara said sternly.
I burst into laughter at that.
Melody bent down and lifted Jersey into her arms.
Jersey let out an angry growl while staring at Tsu.
"Knock it off Jersey!" Melody scolded roughly.
She then carried the smaller dog up to her bedroom.
"I wish Dabi could hear that," I thought.
I sat down on one of the couches and leaned against a pillow.
Deku hopped onto the couch and laid down next to me.
Tsu curled up on the floor beside the couch.
I wrapped my arms around the dog and held him tight.
"I missed you so much Deku," I said while petting him.
Deku let out a long sigh.
I rested with Deku while Kara watched Tv.
All was quiet until Kara and I heard my phone ringing in the bag beside me.
Deku lifted his head and shook his ears.
I woke up and retrieved my phone.
Ariel's name popped up on the lock screen.
I held the phone up to my ear and said in a tired voice. "Hi Ariel, I'm at home now. What's up."
"Hey Sioku, what are you doing right now?" Ariel replied.
"Not much," I answered briefly.
"Would it be okay if I come over?" Ariel continued.
"I'll ask Kara," I said as I looked at my sister.
"Hey Kara, Ariel is on the phone. Can she come over?" I add.
"Yes," Kara answered briefly.
I put the phone up to my ear again and said. "My sister gave you permission to come over."
"Okay, I'll be there in a few minutes. Bye for now," Ariel replied before she hung up the phone.
I cuddled with Deku while waiting for Ariel to arrive.
Tsu began to growl as she stared out the window.
"Lay down dog," Kara commanded.
"I think she's trying to tell us that Ariel is here," I said with a playful smile.
Tsu jumped onto the couch and stood up on her hind legs with her front paws resting on the window sill.
I immediately grabbed my phone and started recording.
Tsu barked loudly while staring out the window.
Kara glared at the dog and shouted. "Tsu! Get down!"
Tsu ignored her and continued barking.
"Sioku, please let these two dogs out. I'm already tired of the barking," Kara said with slight irritation.
I put my phone away and slid off the couch.
"Let's go outside dogs," I commanded while walking through the kitchen.
Deku and Tsu jumped off the couch and bolted after me.
I giggled at the sound of their feet repeatedly tapping on the hard wood floor.
My furry friends were standing by the back door by the time I caught up to them.
They impatiently wagged their tails against the glass.
"Go out," I said while sliding the door open.
The dogs took off outside while barking.
I quickly made my way back into the living room where was still watching Tv.
Melody emerged from her bedroom and came down the stairs with Jersey following behind her.
"What were the dogs barking at?" she asked.
"They probably saw Ariel walking up the driveway," I answered.
In the midst of our conversation, we heard a knock at the front door.
Jersey started to bark in response to the noise.
I couldn't help but giggle at that.
Melody picked Jersey up and carried her out of the living room.
"Come in," said Kara.
Ariel opened the door slowly and walked in.
"Hello everybody," she said with a smile.
"Good afternoon," replied Kara.
I jumped up from the couch and ran over to her.
"Hi Ariel, I'm so glad to see you. How have you been?" I greeted while throwing my arms around her.
Ariel returned the hug and responded. "Hey Sioku, I'm glad to see you too. I've been very well."
"Excuse me Kara, would you mind if I let the bigger dogs inside?" I asked.
"No, but please keep them in your room. They'll be much quieter in there with you two," Kara replied.
Ariel hurried after me as I rushed through the dining room.
"Let's go get Deku and Tsu," I said happily.
"Wow Sioku, you sure have a lot of energy right now. I'm impressed that you recovered so quickly," Ariel replied joyfully.
I slid the glass door open and whistled for the dogs.
Deku and Tsu came running toward the open door while wagging their tails and panting heavily.
"Look out Sioku," Ariel warned.
Before I could respond, both dogs knocked me to the ground.
Ariel burst into laughter as she watched me land on my behind.
Then she stepped in front of me and closed the door.
My cheeks turned bright red as I imagined this incident happening in front of Shinso or Dabi.
The dogs pinned me down using their front paws.
"I love you guys too," I said while ruffling their fur.
Deku sat in my lap while Tsu walked in circles around me.
I laughed when Tsu's tail tapped my back gently.
"Let's go upstairs," I said while nudging Deku.
Deku stood up and shook off.
I stood up after him and immediately began leading the dogs and Ariel up to my bedroom.
The dogs excitedly bolted up the wooden staircase as they followed Ariel and me.
I couldn't help but giggle at the loud sound.
Ariel closed the door behind us as we entered my room.
Deku followed me onto my bed while Tsu hopped on the sofa next to Ariel.
I affectionately wrapped my arms around Deku as soon as he climbed back into my lap.
The dog laid his head on my shoulder and sighed.
I really missed your affection Deku," I said softly.
Complete silence filled my room as Ariel and I relaxed.
The only sound that we heard was Tsu snoring.
After ten minutes had passed, Ariel looked at me and spoke. "Hey Sioku, may I hear your story now?"
I looked up at her and answered firmly. "Yes, but you must keep this conversation between us."
"You have my word Sioku," Ariel said with a serious expression.
"A few days ago, I visited my other friends at their place after school. My friend Dabi and I sat on the sofa together in All for One's room. I fell asleep in Dabi's arms because I was exhausted. Unfortunately, I had a bad dream. Luckily I had all of my other friends around me. They helped me calm down as soon as I woke up. Kurogiri came into the room shortly afterward and introduced me to Magne. Magne liked me at first, but then she suspected that I was a spy. She yelled at me and demanded to know the truth. I told Magne that I was their loyal friend, and All for One stepped in to help me explain everything to her. Magne finally started to calm down and apologized to me. She escorted me out the door when I decided to go back home. I was on my way to the train station when that masked villain named Kai Chisaki stopped me in an alleyway. This mad man claimed that he did his research on me and my quirk. I didn't know what Chisaki's quirk was, and I was terrified of him. He threatened to kill me on the spot if I refused to go with him. I collapsed on the floor, and he carried me away. He and I rode in a car to an abandoned warehouse. I woke up in a room with white walls and medical equipment everywhere. My limbs were bound to a table by heavy straps. Chisaki examined my body as soon as he entered the room. Then he hooked me up to a weird machine which extracted blood from my veins. I passed out from the blood loss when he had finished. I woke up a half hour later when Chisaki brought three of his followers into the room. My medical torture got a whole lot worse. These crazy people put tubes in my nose and paralyzed me with gas. Then Chisaki rolled me on my side and inserted a large needle into my spine to collect fluid. Lastly, they attached two more tubes to my chest and powered up a third machine. I fell into a violent seizure. Fortunately for me, I was able to communicate with my other friends through telepathy when I came out of it. Tomura, Magne, and Dabi immediately came to my rescue. Magne and Dabi beat the heck out of Chisaki. Then Magne took me to a hospital and stayed by my side. My condition only worsened the next day. I woke up with body aches and a high fever. Then I had another seizure. I slept for hours after it passed. My condition started to improve shortly after Kara and Melody came to visit. We ate lunch together before they went home. Dabi came to see me after you and Shinso left," I explained.
A brief period of silence passed by.
Ariel sat still on the couch with her arm around Tsu.
She wore a stunned but attentive expression.
"Hey Ariel, are you okay?" I asked after a pause.
"Yes, Sioku, I'm just processing everything that you told me. There's no need to worry," she assured.
"I'm just glad that I can trust you with my story," I said quietly.
"You'll never have to worry about me breaking my promise," she replied sincerely.
I hugged Deku tighter as I thought about Dabi.
His voice played in my mind like a melodious song.
Ariel's voice brought me back to reality as she spoke. "Sioku, when did you meet this Dabi person?"
"Dabi and I met a few days ago. All for One introduced him to me," I answered with a smile.
"What was Dabi's reaction to you?" Ariel continued.
"At first, Dabi accused me of being a spy. I had to keep reassuring him that I was only their friend. He finally calmed down after a lot of convincing though. Dabi and I started talking more as soon as he opened up to me a little bit," I explained.
"I still can't believe that a group of villains would save you. They are supposed to be pure evil," she added.
"I understand where you're coming from, but I decided to look passed that and get to know them. Those people just need a companion who will listen," I said with love.
Our conversation was immediately interrupted by a knock on my bedroom door.
Tsu lifted her head and let out a low growl.
"Come in," I said.
The door opened to reveal my older sister Melody standing in the entrance.
Deku heard the door opening and woke up.
He let out a loud yawn.
I couldn't help but laugh as I rubbed behind his ears.
Jersey stood in the hallway while whimpering.
"Hi Melody, what's up?" I greeted.
"Dinner is almost ready," Melody responded.
"Thank you," said Ariel.
"I'll meet you two downstairs," Melody replied as she turned around.
Tsu jumped off the sofa and ran after Melody.
Jersey growled playfully at Tsu as they descended the stairs.
"Let's go Deku," I said while nudging him gently.
Deku slid onto the floor and shook off.
Ariel and I then exited my bedroom with Deku following us.
We met Tsu and Jersey at the bottom step.
"Let's go outside," I said happily.
The dogs ran after me while panting as I raced through the dining room.
"settle down Sioku," Kara said firmly.
"Yes ma'am," I replied briefly.
I slid the glass door open and urged them to go out.
The dogs immediately took off while barking.
