Welcome one and all to the annual Thanksgiving Special! Just a little thing I put together to celebrate one thing I'm incredibly thankful for, all of you who read my stories week after week. Today in Xenoblade, we move on to our next character. And this time it's the previous wielder of the Monado. That's right, it's Dunban. So let's not waste a minute! Here we go!
Heart to Heart 6: Legends Alike In Dignity
Participants: Spyro and Dunban
Location: Dunban's House
Affinity: Lavender
Pre-Requisite: Colony 6 Reconstruction begins
Introduction
Dunban: Spyro?
Spyro: What's up, Dunban?
Dunban: I never got to say this in the moment, but you showed remarkable bravery in coming to Colony 9's defense during the Mechon raid.
Pass/Pass
Spyro: Just doing what was right. I wouldn't let the innocent be slaughtered by rogue machines. None of us wanted Colony 9 to end up like Colony 6.
Dunban: Indeed.
Spyro: Besides, I understand you know a thing or two about this hero stuff.
Dunban: Meaning?
Spyro: I know about Sword Valley.
Dunban: You know what exactly?
Spyro: I've heard you were the Monado's last wielder, even past the point where it started destroying you.
Dunban: Perhaps I was foolish in letting it get that far.
Spyro: I wouldn't say so. If anything, it shows an intense devotion to those you care about to be willing to go that far.
Dunban: Something I understand you know as well.
Spyro: Cynder's talked to you about Ignitus, I see.
Dunban: Yes. I may never have met this "Ignitus", but from what I've seen of you, he would be proud of the dragon you've become.
Spyro: Thanks Dunban, I needed that. (Wiping away a tear from his eye) Now, what do you say we check in on Colony 6's reconstruction?
Dunban: I couldn't agree more.

Spyro: That... is a possibility. Minute, but still a possibility.
Dunban: Perhaps indeed.
Spyro: Let's not dwell on it though, we should really see how Colony 6's rebuilding is going.
Dunban: Agreed.

Spyro: Some would say it was reckless.
Dunban: I guess I can see that.
Spyro: Seems to be pretty on brand for me. Cynder will tell you that much.
Dunban: True. Yet it was still incredibly brave of you, given you had no idea exactly what you were getting into.
Spyro: I guess you could say that. But then again, knowing about you and the Monado, that makes sense.
Dunban: (Thinking about it) I guess ultimately taking up the Monado, not knowing the risk, was a reckless move.
Spyro: Whether we call it reckless or brave, it was still for the greater good.
Dunban: On that much we both agree. (Changing the subject) Speaking of greater good, we should see how Colony 6 is doing.
Spyro: I definitely agree.
(Net Affinity: 0)

Spyro: But has it really lead to the greater good?
Dunban: You seem... doubtful of this?
Spyro: Not honestly sure that losing the functionality of your arm was worth it.
Dunban: There are many times I doubted it as well, but since seeing Shulk take up the Monado, I haven't doubted any of it for a second.
Spyro: If you haven't, then neither will I.
