Welcome back to the Xenoblade Heart to Hearts series. Today, we finally see Cynder interact with the Hero of Sword Valley, Dunban. So, how's that going to go? Read on to discover...

Heart to Heart 7: Breaking the Facade

Participants: Cynder and Dunban

Location: Hazzai Cape

Affinity: Green

Pre-Requisites: Only Occurs At Night

Introduction

Dunban: Cynder?

Cynder: ...

Dunban: There you are! We got kind of worried when you just disappeared like that.

Cynder: Really?

Dunban: We've been looking for you everywhere! What're you doing all the way out here?

Cynder: Oh. Hey Dunban. I... just needed a moment alone.

Pass/Pass

Dunban: Is... something the matter?

Cynder: It's... kind of complicated.

Dunban: (With a caring air) You know you can tell me anything, right?

Cynder: Trust me, Dunban. It's nothing I can't handle.

Dunban: If I'm being honest, I'm not sure.

Cynder: Really? What gives you that idea?

Dunban: I can see the pain that you hide. You don't need to worry about hiding it with me.

Cynder: And why should I tell you?

Dunban: Because I care about you. Your well being has always been important to me. That much is true of all of us.

Cynder: The only person who's ever told me that is Spyro.

Dunban: Then he's got the right idea. You can't shoulder this burden yourself forever. So, feel free to talk to me, if you like.

Cynder: I just might take you up on that.

Pass/Fail

Dunban: Is... something the matter?

Cynder: It's... kind of complicated.

Dunban: (With a caring air) You know you can tell me anything, right?

Cynder: Trust me, Dunban. It's nothing I can't handle.

Dunban: If I'm being honest, I'm not sure.

Cynder: Really? What gives you that idea?

Dunban: Trust me, I can tell.

Cynder: No more than that?

Dunban: Sure you can't just believe me?

Cynder: In all the stories about this guy, you'd think they'd have mentioned him being so stubborn. Look, I just don't want to talk about it right now.

Dunban: Okay. But feel free to talk to me if you need it

Cynder: Okay. Yeah, not happening.

Fail/Pass

Dunban: There's something wrong.

Cynder: What gives you that idea?

Dunban: Trust me, I can tell.

Cynder: Well, no need to butt in, Mr. Hero of Sword Valley. And what makes you think that, if there is anything wrong, that I want to talk about it?

Dunban: I realize I shouldn't be butting in, but I just don't want to see you suffer the same way I did.

Cynder: The same way you did?

Dunban: You can't just bottle this stuff up. You need to tell people. And that's what we're here for.

Cynder: You know, someday I might take you up on that offer.

Dunban: That's all I ask of you.

Fail/Fail

Dunban: There's something wrong.

Cynder: What gives you that idea?

Dunban: Trust me, I can tell.

Cynder: Well, no need to butt in, Mr. Hero of Sword Valley. And what makes you think that, if there is anything wrong, that I want to talk about it?

Dunban: Look, I know you're new here, but there's one thing that remains true. You need to have a support system.

Cynder: And you want to be mine, I guess.

Dunban: I'm just calling it like I see it. And I see something wrong behind your eyes.

Cynder: You may be right, but you don't have to be an asshole about it. If I want to talk to someone, I'll decide when to do it. Thanks for the "concern", Dunban.

Dunban: I just worry about you, that's all.

Cynder: Keep your worries to yourself then.

And that wraps up Dunban in Colony 9. I really tried to capture Dunban's caring nature with this, so I hope that shown through. So, which party member enters the conversation next? Here's a hint: one of Dunban's pre-requisites gives it away. So be sure to tune in for that! Same time... same channel!
