Welcome back to the Xenoblade Heart to Hearts series. Today we start a new character, and this is one I was honestly looking forward to once I started researching them further. It's our resident cleric/sniper from Colony 6, as Drago puts it, Sharla. Also, this particular Heart to Heart will be particularly spoiler-y. You have been warned. So let's not waste a minute. Here we go!

Heart to Heart 8: Offering Hope For The Future

Participants: Spyro and Sharla

Location: Cylinder Hangar

Affinity: Pink

Prerequisites: Jade Face/Gadolt must have been Defeated the second time.

Introduction

Spyro: Sharla? What're you doing out here?

Sharla: (Caught off guard) Oh. Spyro. Didn't see you there. I was just... thinking.

Spyro: You were thinking about what happened to Gadolt, I assume.

Sharla: And if I was?

Pass/Pass

Spyro: I don't blame you in the slightest.

Sharla: I mean... I still can't believe that Jade Face was Gadolt.

Spyro: Believe me, this transformation stunned all of us.

Sharla: Those Mechon bastards. I'll never forgive them for taking Gadolt, not only from me, but from Bionis as a whole.

Spyro: Trust me, that's a feeling I get all too well.

Sharla: Really? I thought Cynder was still alive.

Spyro: She is. I haven't lost in the same exact sense you have, but I have lost someone near and dear to me. My mentor, Ignitus. Sure he wasn't turned into my enemy, but losing him still stung. He was really the one who showed me what it truly meant to be a dragon.

Sharla: I'm sorry for your loss.

Spyro: But, there is something he once said that I think could really help you.

Sharla: Huh?

Spyro: Well, this admittedly happened after he died, but something told me this was him saying it. He said that when a dragon dies, their spirit does not truly leave this world. It instead binds itself with nature, offering hope for the future.

Sharla: Really?

Spyro: If I had to guess, I'd say Gadolt is doing something similar. My guess, his spirit is giving us a hand with Colony 6.

Sharla: (Wiping a tear from her eye) That's... honestly the most beautiful thing I've heard all day. I can only hope it's true.

Pass/Fail

Spyro: I don't blame you in the slightest.

Sharla: I mean... I still can't believe that Jade Face was Gadolt.

Sharla: I'm sorry for your loss.

Spyro: Thanks, Sharla. Just thank goodness Cynder was there to bring me back from the darkness in the aftermath.

Sharla: Excuse me?

Spyro: Long story, but it comes with an important message. Even without Gadolt, you've got people who care about you. Don't discount them.

Sharla: Thanks, Spyro. I don't plan to forget you guys any time soon.

Fail/Pass

Spyro: I'd think he'd want you to put your focus elsewhere.

Sharla: (A little surprised) Meaning what exactly?

Spyro: That's not to say he would stop you from mourning. That's just a natural part of losing someone.

Sharla: Well we're not disagreeing on that part, but is there a point you're getting to here?

Spyro: Gadolt wouldn't want you to get stuck on him for the rest of your life. Eventually you'd need to put your head back into the game. Else you'll just grow stagnant in your life.

Sharla: (Kind of sarcastically) And you'd recommend I put my focus into?

Spyro: If I had to guess, maybe what you guys were planning on the whole time? Restoring Colony 6 to it's former glory.

Sharla: You know what? I think you're right.

Fail/Fail

Spyro: I'd think he'd want you to put your focus elsewhere.

Sharla: (A little surprised) Meaning what exactly?

Spyro: That's not to say he would stop you from mourning. That's just a natural part of losing someone.

Sharla: Well we're not disagreeing on that part, but is there a point you're getting to here?

Spyro: You really need to get back in the game. Gadolt wouldn't want you moping around for eternity.

Sharla: And what if I wanted to?

Spyro: You'll get nowhere with your life. And if I'm being honest, that's not what Juju and Colony 6 need. They need you to be strong.

Sharla: (With a sigh) If you say so.

And that wraps up our first chat with Sharla. And my apologies if I spoiled part of the game for you. So, how does Cynder interact with Sharla? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
