Welcome back to the Xenoblade Heart to Hearts series! Today, we start our wrap up of Colony 9 with the last of the main seven characters, our representative from the High Entia, Melia. I'll be honest, she just kind of faded into the background while working on the other six. No idea why specifically, but she just did. Oh well, time to finally do her some justice, I hope. So let's do this!

Heart to Heart 14: The Head That Wears The Crown

Participants: Melia and Spyro

Location: Ether Light

Affinity: Pink

Pre-Requisite: High Entia Tomb Events

Introduction

Spyro: (Curtsying) Your majesty.

Melia: Spyro, please, we are of the same status. There is no need for such formality between us.

Spyro: (Slightly confused) Of the same status? What?

Pass/Pass

Melia: From what I have been told, I assumed Purple Dragons were some kind of royalty in your world.

Spyro: That's... the first I've heard of that claim.

Melia: It is?

Spyro: If Purple Dragons are monarchs, hereditary or otherwise, I've never heard that one, but it would explain why Malefor went crazy.

Melia: (Slightly disheartened) Oh. I apologize for the misconception.

Spyro: No need to apologize. (Senses the lack of heart) Is something wrong?

Melia: I will be honest, I was hoping to seek council from you.

Spyro: Seek council?

Melia: I... feel unworthy of leading the High Entia.

Spyro: Heavy is the head that wears the crown, I guess.

Melia: That is the understatement of the year.

Spyro: If I may, I'd say you've proven yourself in my book.

Melia: You would?

Spyro: Who took command after everything went wrong in Alcamoth? That was you, Melia. You lead your people through the worst disaster they'd probably ever seen! Who cares if some of the high class look down on you for being half Homs? Your father and Kallian saw something in you that told them you were worthy to sit upon the throne.

Melia: You really think so?

Spyro: I know so, Melia.

Melia: Thank you, Spyro. This means the world to me.

Pass/Fail

Melia: From what I have been told, I assumed Purple Dragons were some kind of royalty.

Melia: It is nothing. I simply wish to apologize for spreading misinformation.

Spyro: It just seems like hearing I wasn't some sort of king depressed you for some reason.

Melia: Perhaps it was a misinterpretation of tone.

Spyro: Maybe it was. But you know you can talk to me if something is up, right?

Melia: Of course.

Spyro: Just have to be sure.

Fail/Pass

Melia: You are royalty, are you not?

Spyro: Me? Royalty?

Melia: Are you not?

Spyro: No, no I'm not. At least not as far as I know. I'd have to talk to the Guardians when we get back to verify, but as far as I know I'm not meant for a throne.

Melia: Oh.

Spyro: I have to ask, what brought you to that conclusion?

Melia: I suppose there is no hiding it. I wanted to speak with another monarch looking for advice in running things back in Alcamoth.

Spyro: Oh, that makes a bit of sense. But from what I can tell, you're doing great. Anyone who could lead their people through the situation the High Entia just went through is going to be a great leader.

Melia: That honestly makes me feel a little better about everything. Thank you, my friend.

Spyro: No worries, Melia.

Fail/Fail

Melia: You are royalty, are you not?

Spyro: Me? Royalty?

Melia: Are you not?

Spyro: No, no I'm not. At least not as far as I know. I'd have to talk to the Guardians when we get back to verify, but as far as I know I'm not meant for a throne.

Melia: Oh.

Spyro: I have to ask, what brought you to that conclusion?

Melia: For one thing, you are arguably one of the most powerful beings your entire world, at least based on what you and Cynder have said. It only made sense that you would at least be a civic figure.

Spyro: I wouldn't be surprised if people back home try to convince me to go into government when I get back, but it's not for me.

Melia: Not for you?

Spyro: I was a huge public figure during the war, I really just want to get away from that lifestyle. Probably just retire to some place deep in the forest, if I had my way that is.

Melia: You have such humble tastes.

Spyro: I was literally raised in a swamp, I never sought the fancy lifestyle many will probably want to foist onto us. I'm glad for the time Cynder and I are spending here as is. And the company makes it all the more enjoyable.

Melia: That much is admirable. I respect that.

And that wraps up our intro to Melia. Only one more chat in Colony 9 before we move on to the next location in the game. So, how does Cynder interact with the princess of the High Entia? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
