Welcome back to the Xenoblade Heart to Hearts series. Last time, Spyro and Reyn discussed pranks played on them in the past. So how does Cynder interact with Reyn this time around? Read on to discover...

Heart to Heart 20: Ruins

Participants: Cynder and Reyn

Location: Mag Mell Ruins

Affinity: Green

Pre-Requisite: Melia must be recruited to the party

Introduction

Reyn: Is it just me or are these ruins starting to look familiar?

Cynder: Well, haven't you been here before?

Reyn: Not like that, I mean like I've seen this before recently

Cynder: (Realizes it) I think I know what you're talking about.

Pass/Pass

Reyn: Wait, you do?

Cynder: Yeah, Melia pointed out the same similarity to me.

Reyn: What, did the High Entia make it down here? I mean, that wouldn't surprise me, since she'd pointed out there's a High Entia transport ship that's wrecked near here.

Cynder: Well, she told me it's a more ancient model, but it is one.

Reyn: Huh. Good to know.

Cynder: Though I can't help but think it familiar in a different way in retrospect

Reyn: That being?

Cynder: This place kind of reminds me of the Ruins beneath Warfang.

Reyn: What's Warfang?

Cynder: The Dragon City. Think of it like our version of Colony 9, kind of.

Reyn: So it's your home?

Cynder: Well... I've only been there once, so I can't really call it home. Now that I think of it, there really isn't a place back in our world I've considered home.

Reyn: What? Really? You've never felt at home in your world?

Cynder: At least not in any place I know I've been. (Thinks about it) Well...

Reyn: Well what?

Cynder: I guess I felt kind of at home in the Temple after a while, but managed to talk myself out of staying around for a long time.

Reyn: If it felt like home, why would you leave it?

Cynder: I... don't really feel like discussing it, Reyn.

Reyn: (Sensing it's a difficult topic) Say no more.

Cynder: Thanks Reyn.

Pass/Fail

Cynder: Yeah, Melia pointed out the same similarity to me.

Reyn: No offense, but I doubt that very highly.

Cynder: It's true, I can't think of anything.

Reyn: That can't be right. Everybody's got a place they can call home.

Cynder: Then why can't I recall having one?

Reyn: Maybe, you just haven't found yours yet. Or you've stopped considering it for some reason.

Cynder: (Thinking back on that last idea) You may be right actually, Reyn. That's oddly deep.

Reyn: Just because I'm the tank doesn't mean I can't have deep thoughts occasionally.

Cynder: Touche.

Fail/Pass

Reyn: Now I remember! It looks like a High Entia ship!

Cynder: Really? (Looks closely at it) Huh, I guess it must be an older model.

Reyn: (Looks at Cynder's face, then with concern) There's something else about this that's got you hung up, isn't there?

Cynder: (Starting to seem depressed) Maybe there is, maybe there isn't.

Reyn: Is there or isn't there?

Cynder: Just... thinking of home.

Reyn: Thinking about how good it'll be to get back?

Cynder: More like thinking of where I'll end up calling home. I... really can't remember if there is a place that fits that.

Reyn: I'm sure there will be. And who knows? Maybe it's somewhere you've already discounted.

Cynder: (Thinks about it) Yeah, maybe it is...

Cynder: Just... thinking of home.

Reyn: I don't blame you, I think we're all anxious to get home at this point.

Cynder: (Muttered to herself) Not all of us.

Reyn: (Having heard it, but just barely) What was that?

Cynder: (Realizing she was heard) Nothing.

Reyn: (Suspicious) Okay...
