Welcome back to the Xenoblade Heart to Hearts series! Today, we start our next location on the series. And per my list, our next location down is Bionis' Leg. And as usual we start with Spyro and Cynder having their chat at this location. So let's not waste another second. Here we go!
Heart to Heart 23: Family
Participants: Spyro and Cynder
Location: Kamos Guidepost
Affinity: Green
Pre-Requisite: Sharla must've been recruited to the Party, and Juju has to have been rescued from Xord
Introduction
Cynder: I'll admit it, that Juju kid was kind of... annoying.
Spyro: Maybe he was, but we kind of owed it to Sharla to rescue him from Xord.
Cynder: True. Ultimately, I can't complain, bonds of family and all that.
Spyro: I'd say they're some of the strongest.
Cynder: That reminds me of something I've been wondering for a while.
Spyro: What's that?
Cynder: Do you ever wonder about your family?
Pass/Pass
Spyro: You mean, like, Sparx and company? I've tried to trace the heritage a few times, but haven't gotten very far.
Cynder: That's... not entirely what I meant.
Spyro: (Puts it together) Oh, you meant my biological family.
Cynder: Yeah.
Spyro: To be honest, I haven't had the slightest curiosity in that regard.
Cynder: Really? You've never felt like it? You started your entire quest trying to figure out where you really came from, didn't you?
Spyro: That was more to figure out what being a dragon was all about. I really had nothing about my biological family in that plan.
Cynder: Really?
Spyro: I mean, I really didn't need to know. I had a family. (Piecing it together) I'm guessing you've wondered about it.
Cynder: Ever since I got free from Malefor's control, really. That was part of what I wanted to figure out when I left the Temple.
Spyro: If it helps you at all, even if you hadn't done that, you've found your family.
Cynder: How?
Spyro: You're always welcome with my family. I can assure you of that much
Cynder: (Drying a tear from her eyes) You have no idea how much that means to me, Spyro. This is just about the best moment of my life. There's almost no way this could get better.

Pass/Fail
Spyro: You mean, like, Sparx and company? I've tried to trace the heritage a few times, but haven't gotten very far.
Cynder: That's... not entirely what I meant.
Spyro: (Puts it together) Oh, you meant my biological family.
Cynder: Yeah.
Spyro: To be honest, I haven't had the slightest curiosity in that regard.
Cynder: Really? You've never felt like it? You started your entire quest trying to figure out where you really came from, didn't you?
Spyro: Yeah, but that didn't include finding my biological family. I had a great family already. I wouldn't insult them by trying to replace them with dragons I never knew.
Cynder: I wasn't trying to imply you were going to do that. I just wondered if you and I shared this curiosity.
Spyro: Oh. I never knew
Cynder: I guess ever since being freed from Malefor's control, I've wanted to figure out who I am.
Spyro: You don't need your biological family to tell you that.
Cynder: What?
Spyro: You've forged your own path, beyond anything a biological relative could tell you.
Cynder: Huh. I'd never thought about it that way. Thanks for cheering me up there, Spyro.
Spyro: Anything for you, milady.

Fail/Pass
Spyro: Not really. I've always known. My parents found my egg floating down the Silver River and took me in.
Cynder: I... wasn't talking about your adoptive family. I meant your biological family.
Spyro: Oh. Well, still not really.
Cynder: You've never been curious about your biological family? Not even once?
Spyro: I can't honestly say that. But I never pursued it because, well, it never really mattered to me.
Cynder: It didn't?
Spyro: I've got a great family. And for that matter, we both do.
Cynder: Both of us?
Spyro: I'm sure my parents would agree once they meet you. You're as much a part of my family as they are.
Cynder: Thanks, Spyro. You have no idea how much I needed to hear that.

Fail/Fail
Spyro: Not really. I've always known. My parents found my egg floating down the Silver River and took me in.
Cynder: I... wasn't talking about your adoptive family. I meant your biological family.
Spyro: Oh. Well, still not really.
Cynder: You've never been curious about your biological family? Not even once?
Spyro: Nope. Never needed to know. My family is the people who raised me. (Puts it together) But it sounds like you've wondered it.
Cynder: I've been a bit curious over the years, yes. Just to figure out where I came from, who I am.
Spyro: Can I be blunt with you?
Cynder: How so?
Spyro: Those two things are not dependent on each other. You've shown the world the type of dragoness you are without knowing a thing about your biological family. Sure it might be interesting to know who they are, but they don't define you.
Cynder: I guess you're right. Thanks, Spyro.
