Chapter 2

"I think we lost the female... Fuck," Gia Matteo said into the walkie-talkie, cursing aloud, while frantically looking through the scope of her rifle." How the fuck is it so fast?!"
Usually, she was very patient and could wait hours for her target. But tonight all she could think about was shooting the female werewolf she had been tracking for three months now.

Gia's ancestors were originally from Europe and came to North-America for one goal only; hunt and kill all werewolves.

Since she was seven years old, her parents had taught her all things Werewolf. How to track them, hunt them and ultimately get rid of them. She was barely sixteen, when she shot her first; it was a she-wolf who had been terrorizing a small town.

That day, her parents were very proud, and even bought Gia her first car at sixteen as a reward. She and the rest of the werewolf hunters had their favorite weapons; they used shotguns, riffles, knives, one member even used a sword to hunt.

Gia's favorite weapon? Well that was easy; her trusty riffle of course. And up until now, she had used said riffle for ALL of her werewolf kills.

And she was so certain, tonight would be the night that she was going to have her second kill for the year.

"Damn it! I can't believe I lost that she-wolf!" She hissed and shifted a bit, while still lying on her stomach. (Like most snipers do; using the scope of her riffle to search for the female werewolf)

Don't you worry your pretty little head, Gia... the night is still young" her hunting partner said, while a menacing smile crept on his face." I've still got my eyes on the male wolf. Tonight we'll get one of them or both"
In response, Gia groaned and swiftly got up from her lying position. She expertly grabbed her hunting rifle and grabbed a magazine full of bullets with a silver tip from the back-pack.
"I'm not waiting one more second for that she-wolf... I'm gonna go after it," she announced, and walked with huge strides towards her vehicle.
"Where do YOU THINK you're going? We shouldn't separate! It's not safe out here,"
"I don't give a flying fuck what you think" Gia replied, while starting the pick-up truck." I'm gonna shoot and kill me a she-wolf tonight, Hyde"
"Are you mad?! You shouldn't go out alone at night?" He questioned." We do not know how big the werewolf pack is!"
Gia stubbornly rolled her eyes at Hyde and said." I don't care... I've got my trusty rifle and silver bullets. What more do I need?"
Hyde had enough of her, and shook his head." I won't be the one telling your mother what happened to you... so make sure you don't get yourself killed, OK?"
"I'll be fine," she replied confidently, and sped away in her new pick-up truck.
Well, Hyde didn't have time to linger too long over Gia's stubbornness, because right then he heard a twig snap.
In a flash, he grabbed his hunting rifle and looked through the scope.
"Yes, come towards me..." he whispered, while seeing how the male wolf walked on the path.
This werewolf was bigger than the ones he and Gia had shot and killed in Kentucky, six months ago.
As Hyde watched the male wolf, he noticed that it was sniffing some prints on the dirt path.
A devious smile appeared on his face, when Hyde realized that this male wolf was probably tracking the female one. ( the one Gia was determined to shoot and kill tonight)
"Gotcha," he said, while aiming at the male wolf and pulled the trigger.
But a millisecond before he took the shots, the werewolf looked right at him, and moved.
BANG! BANG!
As the ear-deafening sound ripped through the woods, it began to rain all of a sudden.
"Shit! Fuck! Fuck!" Hyde cursed aloud, when he realized that he did hit his target, and yet the male werewolf was able to run away.
He grabbed his binoculars, and searched for it, but he did all of that in vain.

" Fuck!" he shouted, when he realized that he had lost his target, and going after it in the pouring rain would be a stupid move.
The way it rained right now, it would take only seconds for the water to wash away the werewolf's tracks.
"Well, let's hope Gia has more luck than me tonight," he uttered in defeat, his head hanging low.

~ A few hours later, Christian slowly woke up, eyes fluttering open and the first thing he felt was a splitting head-ache... one that he hadn't felt in years.
As his eyes scanned the room he was in, he felt his whole body ache from his head to his toes. He wanted to sit up, but failed miserably.
The room was white and huge, and the windows and blinds were closed, and yet he knew that it was morning.
Being a werewolf, all of his senses were heightened. So that meant that Christian felt, heard, saw, smelled and tasted everything tenfold. As he concentrated on his hearing, he heard two voices. They were talking about him!

The room he was in, looked like a hospital room, but it was larger than most. And it was all white; even the chairs.
"Where the hell am I?" He whispered, and as his eyes landed on the trash can in the room, he saw a couple of bloodied towels in it.
Christian pulled the thick blanket off of his body, and saw that he barely had any clothes on. He was wearing some kind of piece of clothing, one like a hospital gown.
"What happened last night?" he whispered, and tried with all his might to remember. He was here in this unfamiliar house/ building, and it looked like someone had taken care of him. But who?" How did I end up here?"
As the wheels in his head started to turn, he began to recall the events of the night before: first, the lavish party that he threw... and then the rest of it. He was with Ana... talked to her... then he had to leave Ana, because he had to meet with his client.
"Oh, shit!" were the words that tumbled from his lips, when he remembered that he went after Ana/ the she-wolf in his wolf form... and then he remembered that he was shot... twice!
It was then, when he noticed that he was injured in two places; his left arm and right calf.
'God, that hurt' were the words that swirled around in his head.
"Ana," he uttered, and felt as if the whole world was spinning around. He felt an excruciating pain cut right though him, just the thought of her hurt making him want to throw up. In a flash, Christian jumped up from the bed, stumbling in the process, hastily grabbing the door handle.
All kinds of images plagued his mind right now, his heart pounding wildly inside his chest, wondering if those werewolf hunters went after Ana too.
"NO... God no, please no" he uttered, as he stumbled out the room. He had to get out of here!

"Taylor," he said, and moved in a difficult manner. He had to reach Taylor ASAP!

"Hello! Who's there?! My name is Christian Grey, and I urgently need to make a phone ca—"

"Mr. Grey, why are you up, Sir?" he heard a very familiar voice say.

"Taylor! Thank God! We need to go, right now!" Christian insisted, and grabbed his employee by the arm." She needs me,"

"Sir, please calm down... you're in no condition to leave here," Taylor told him with a concerned look on his face." You were injured badly, sir... you know that, don't you?"

Christian nodded." I noticed," he answered, and fought back the tears. He was so worried about her. " But that's WHY we need to go and help her! My soul mate,"

"Sir, please let me take you back to your room first, then I'll explain everyt—" Taylor started, but his boss lost it right then.

"Ana... Anastasia Steele, we MUST help her!" Christian spat at his bodyguard.

And even though Christian struggled a lot to use his legs, he began walking towards the exit.

"Wait, sir! She's right here, Mr. Grey..."

It was then, when Christian turned around and saw... her!

Barely seconds ago, he was in such a hurry to leave the place.

However, when he saw her standing right before him, Christian felt his heart swell." Ana?" he softly said, while feeling such a relief wash over him." It's really you. You're safe,"

She nodded, and smiled." Yes, I am" Ana responded, her voice trembling heavily." I found you last night. You were shot with silver tip bullets,"

Christian let out a deep breath, so relieved and happy that she was not harmed.

As she closed the gap between them, Christian gave her such a longing and loving look." You're unharmed, Ana" he whispered, and felt his heart soar, his body now protesting cause he was badly injured by those silver bullets.

But before his knees gave out, Ana had reached for him and helped him on his feet." You need to rest,"

As he felt the closeness and warmth of her body, Christian's eyes involuntarily fluttered shut. He inhaled her wonderful, oh so familiar scent and said." Safe with me,"

She nodded, and said." After I found you, I immediately called Taylor... he came ASAP and brought us here. Now let us help you get back to bed, Christian"

He nodded, and she and Taylor carefully helped him back in bed. "Thank you, Ana," he said, when she covered him with the blanket.

"You're welcome, Christian" she answered and lovingly traced his cheek with her hand.

As Christian sighed deeply, enjoying the feel of her warm fingers tenfold on his face, they heard a soft knock on the door.

"That's your doctor,"

Christian looked weakly at Taylor." How bad are my wounds?"

"These doctors are the best of the best... don't worry, Sir" Taylor said in a convincing manner.

Christian nodded." Of course," he said, and grabbed Ana's hand.

"Will you stay?" he asked, giving her a loving look.

She nodded in response." Yes," Ana replied, and interlaced their fingers together." As long as you want me to"
