Welcome back to the Xenoblade Heart to Heart series! Last time we got our introduction to Satorl Marsh, and now it's time for the conversations proper. Now there's only three chats here in my research, so this'll be another pretty quick location. Usually I start with the most present character, but given the history of this location, I figure it's time we have a chat with someone we haven't heard from since Colony 6: Melia. So what does our favorite High Entia noble have to say? Read on to discover...
Heart to Heart 43: Tests of Maturity
Participants: Spyro and Melia
Location: Sororal Statues
Affinity: Lavender
Introduction
Spyro: I wonder who put these statues here...
Melia: I can confirm the answer. My ancestors placed these statues here years ago.
Spyro: Wait, these are High Entia ruins?
Melia: Yes. And they were placed here for a very specific purpose.
Spyro: That being?
Pass/Pass
Melia: An ancient Coming-of-Age Ceremony, in the sight of the twin goddesses of order and justice.
Spyro: Facing the Satorl Guardian is probably a little harsh of a task for proving maturity.
Melia: I have only heard of this ceremony being a royal custom, at least primarily.
Spyro: Now it makes a little bit more sense. Prove they're strong enough to lead.
Melia: Precisely, or so I am told.
Spyro: Certainly a lot tougher than what we had to do back in the Swamp.
Melia: You had a maturity ritual where you came from?
Spyro: Well, kind of. It's more a rite of passage, I guess.
Melia: I am curious. Please go on.
Spyro: I don't remember all the details off the top of my head, but I know it involved spending the night in isolation, some sort of fasting thing, and a lot of labor.
Melia: Interesting.
Spyro: Something tells me Sparx and I will get our chance once we get back home. Or who knows? Sparx has probably done his already. I'm the one who's behind I guess.
Melia: Well, when you do approach your challenge. I wish you luck.
Spyro: Thanks, Melia.

Melia: And what would that be?
Spyro: The details are a little bit fuzzy, probably because nobody really talked to me growing up except for Sparx. So they probably didn't tell me much about it to begin with.
Melia: That seems... unfair. Especially if it's necessary in your culture.
Spyro: I'm not even sure it was, to be honest. But I guess we'll find out once we get back to the Swamp.
Melia: In this endeavor, I wish you my luck.

Fail/Pass
Melia: I am afraid that information does not dwell in my recent memory.
Spyro: Huh.
Melia: (Noticing something) NO!
Spyro: What is it?
Melia: There are supposed to be two Ether crystals here, one on each statue. And one of them is missing!
Spyro: If Dunban's to be believed, a lot of irreputable types have passed through here over the years. Perhaps one of them stole it.
Melia: Defiling a sacred site, does sentient depravity know no bounds?
Spyro: I'd say not. But I would say sentient kindness is also boundless.
Melia: What are you suggesting?
Spyro: That we replace it. Restore this place to it's glory.
Melia: A most agreeable suggestion. These are twin goddesses for a reason!

Spyro: I wonder what could have happened to it?
Melia: Without knowing how long it has been gone, it is impossible to tell. The site is ruined...
Spyro: Why can't the crystal just be replaced?
Melia: That... is not a bad idea. We cannot have twin goddesses be unequal!

And that wraps up our first chat with Melia in 3/4 of a year. Wow, hard to believe it's been that long. So, what does Cynder have to say to our favorite High Entia? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
